Hello,I am working on SAI part of the NUCLEO-F756ZG board and I observe an issue with the DMA.The configuration is:SAI A as a master with master **** out and audio mode = master receive. SAI B as asynchronous slave and audio mode = slave transmit. (SAI B is used to simulate a futur hardware codec)Both SAI use DMA, circular for SAI A and normal for B.On the board each pin (i.e. SCK, FS, SD) of both block are connected.The code is very simple: two buffers, the transmit buffer is filled with a sequence of numbers (0, 1, 2,...), HAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA and HAL_SAI_Receive_DMA are called. When HAL_SAI_RxHalfCpltCallback is reached the receive buffer is displayed. #define SAI_DMA_BUFFER_SIZE (320 * 8 * 2) static uint16_t __attribute__((section(".sai_dma_buffer_section"))) __attribute__((aligned(32))) sai_receive_buffer[SAI_DMA_BUFFER_SIZE] = {0}; static uint16_t __attribute__((section(".sai_dma_buffer_section"))) __attribute__((aligned(32))) sai_transmit_buffer[320 * 8] = {0};   stati

Hi,I have a project in stm32cubeide that I have been using and updating for a while and have not had any issues. Now however, I get 10:35:50 Build Failed. 6348 errors, 48 warnings. (took 6s.171ms)Looking at some of the errors, it ranges from undeclared variables, to not recognising number formats. It looks like a driver or path issue but the paths look OK to me. Cleaning the the project and rebuilding does nothing. Here is a screenshot of some of the errors and the path:  Any suggestions as to what I could try next would be appreciated.

Hello everyone, I use STM32F103C8 and try to receive data via USART1 using DMA and IDLE. When I receive 1 character and IDLE occur then USART1 interrupt was generated and call "USART1_IRQHandler" function like this.void USART1_IRQHandler(void) { count = count + 1; }But count not increse by 1. Its value is big increse.main.cint count=0;   int main() { system_clock_config(); uart1_rx_Init(); NVIC_EnableIRQ(USART1_IRQn); DMA1_channel5_init((uint32_t) RES_CMD, (uint32_t) &USART1->DR, 4); while(1) { } }uart1_rx_Initvoid uart1_rx_Init(void) { /*Enable IO Port A*/ RCC->APB2ENR |= (1U<<2); /*Enable UART1*/ RCC->APB2ENR |= (1U<<14); /*Set Port A Pin10 As Input Pull-up Pull-down*/ GPIOA->CRH |= (1U<<10); /*Set Buad Rate 9600*/ USART1->BRR |= 0x1D4C; /*Enable IDLE Line*/ USART1->CR1 |= (1U<<4); /*Enable Receiver*/ USART1->CR1 |= (1U<<2); /*Enable UART*/ USART1->CR1 |= (1U<<13); }DMA1_

After detecting a rise edge in interrupt line, I would like to keep a LED on until it detects a falling edge. Do anyone have idea of how to do it?

The application note AN2834 states that this parameter should be listed in the device datasheet. This is true for MCU families like F4, but not for G4. I know that there is a difference between slow and fast channels, but where could I find precise values?

We are using STM32H745I-DISCO which has a 16 MByte SDRAM. We can read and write 32 and 16 bit values but when we try to read 8 byte arrays we get corrupt data and do not understand how to fix it.// -------------------------------- TEST CODE // t1 struct is placed in external memory (code works when put in RAM_D2 but no external ram   void SDRAM_Test8() { int result = 1, i; uint32_t adressStart = 0;   for(adressStart; adressStart < (8*1024*1024-(BUFFER_SIZE8*4)); adressStart += BUFFER_SIZE8) { /* Fill the buffer to write */ Fill_Buffer8(t1.aTxBuffer8, BUFFER_SIZE8, 0x00);       /* Fill the Read buffer */ memset(t1.aRxBuffer8,0,BUFFER_SIZE8);   for (i = 0; i < BUFFER_SIZE8; i++) { *(__IO uint8_t*) (SDRAM_BANK_ADDR + i + adressStart) = t1.aTxBuffer8[i]; }       for (i = 0; i < BUFFER_SIZE8; i++) { t1.aRxBuffer8[i] = *(__IO uint8_t*) (SDRAM_BANK_ADDR + i + adressStart); }   for (i = 0; i < BUFFER_SIZE8; i++

On an L412KB Nucleo, I configured TIM1 to use ETR2 as a clock source and set the counter period to 1 so that every time a rising edge occurs on the TIM1_ETR pin occurs, it should trigger a DMA. I set up DMA1/Ch6 to respond to TIM_UP for a byte sized peripheral-to-memory from GPIOA (since my D0-D7 input parallel data is on those pins).I can start the TIM1 and verify it is triggering if I enable its interrupt. That works. However, I do not see the DMA happening when I examine the destination memory, nor is a DMA interrupt generated (it is also enabled in NVIC). So I can't tell where the failure is coming from. (I expect to see `byteBuffer` fill with &GPIOA->IDR which is hardwired externally to 0x82, but it remains zero). Did I forget to turn something on / enable something?Here's the `main.c`:/* USER CODE BEGIN Header *//** ****************************************************************************** * @file          : m

Hello,I was wondering if anyone has used the STM32 Virtual COM Port (VCP) on the Nucleo-144 board (MB1361) with USART or LPUART for printf debugging. As far as I can understand, PG7 and PG8 are connected to VCP through ST-Link. In this case, the output has to be re-directed to LPUART1. But what about VCP on the user's USB device port? Can I still use that for the same purpose apart from ST-Link VCP?Thx,Zaher

So, I have TIM2 setup to trigger an ADC conversion and the DMA moves the samples out to RAM. I want to do this every 100us for 1000 iterations. Sounds pretty straight forward. There are 3 ADC channels being sampled using the sequencer on every trigger, so 3000 samples total. Everything works except for the timing. I turned on the timer interrupt and I am only getting to around 600 interrupts when the DMA reports that all the samples have been transferred. I expect there to be 1000 timer ticks. It seems like the ADC is not getting triggered on the timer interrupt, but on something else. Ive tried a lot of configurations and it never seems to change the outcome. Im stumped... Micro is the STM32WB55Timer setup:SENS_Tim2.Instance = TIM2; SENS_Tim2.Init.Prescaler = ((SystemCoreClock / 1000000u) - 1u); // Scale input clock to 1mhz SENS_Tim2.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; SENS_Tim2.Init.Period = ((1000000u / SENS_PUMP_SAMPLE_FREQ) - 1u); SENS_Tim2.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIV

Hello all,First off, I apologize that I am not able to provide code as everything I have been able to do reproduce this problem is proprietary. Given that, I am looking for advance debugging techniques for diagnosing this intermittent failure of the UART interrupt to fire.The overall problem is that we noted the device would appear to "drop" tens of bytes at a time which appears to be caused by the UART Rx interrupt not firing even though a tap on the UART line shows the data arriving.Overview of the device and setup in question:I am working with a legacy device that runs an STM32L152 running Keil RTX. All logic levels are 3.3V, UART is clocked at 16MHz, system clock 32MHz, and the baud rate is 115200. The UART Rx interrupt has the highest priority available to the RTX implementation and the UART interrupt is configured to trigger on errors and received data.When data is received on the UART Rx line it is read from the data register, placed in a circular buffer, then a signal is sent t

Hi.It seems, that sometimes data in cached memory is corrupted.DMA transfer data from SPI to SRAM2 (0x30000000). I use ping-pong buffer in SRAM2 (two similar buffers). Data processing performing for first part of the buffer in thread, while second it's part is filled with data over DMA. DMA write 35 bytes to buffer. DMA start next time and write to next 35 bytes and so on 72 times. After 35*72 bytes are written into first part of the ping-pong buffer, it swap to second part. Both parts are 35*72 bytes. Both start address of buffer parts are alligned to 32 bytes (but size of buffer is not alligned to 32 and accsess from thread is one byte alligned).Of course invalidate cache before processing is performed. Buffer part for thread (35*72 bytes) is invalidated. But sometimes data in buffer seems is not valid. Usually failed data that correspond one DMA transaction (all 35 bytes), but one or some corrupted bytes meet too.When cache is disabled there is no one error for very l

Hello, I tried to start QSPI working on a Single flash mode but have a problem with non readable part config registers (NonVolatile, Volatile and Enhanced Volatile). As I understand when working in Dual Flash mode this registers should write and read in pairs, but I receive this weird data(the screen below). In Single flash mode all registers have only 0x55. The question is:How to wake up the second chip of external flash memory? What are the right configurations for Single flash mode?The microcontroller is STM32H750B-DK and external memory MT25QL512ABB

how to use UARTto receive data on interrupt instead of using this api (sd_lld_read) as this works in blocking mode in while loop.Micro is SPC560P50L3.Is there is an example to use the Uart Rx on interrupt.As we use this method in Stm32.

Hello, I'm working in a project to receive GPS NMEA sentences and send data thru 4G TCP connection every 10 minutes.During 1 cycle all the process to receive and send data lasts about 1 minute, the rest 9 minutes the 4G/GPS module is shut down and the MCU needs to be set to sleep mode to minimize power consumption. Until now everything but setting MCU in sleep mode has been done right . However I am not clear in how to send MCU to sleep, but more importantly, after in sleep mode, how to wake it up to start the next 10 minutes cycle?Also, when in sleep mode I would like to switch the internal clock which makes MCU run at 32MHz to LSE clock( 32768 Hz) I will appreciate any help/suggestion about this.thank you in advance

The execution of an interrupt handler can be preempted by an exception having higher priority.How many interrupt by an exception having higher priority can be executed?In the link below, two interrupts are generated. Is this number infinite?

Hi, Guys...So I got the H757I Eval Board as a gift and am trying to learn MCU Programming with it. I guess STM thinks that: if you have such a high end board, then you should already know what you are doing, because the documentation is poor and they didn't even provide examples for it. They provide for the H747 from which you can't import the examples, since CubeIDE says the board is deprecated, etc...So, to the question.I was learning about interrupts and used the tamper button PC13 (KEY_TAMP_1/WKUP2) as one of the EXTI (which I got working perfectly) and wanted to use the Joystick, say, the Up direction, as another EXTI. Just as another IR source and to toggle some LEDs in a specific order, to understand the priority thing, using the cores, and so on.The thing is: I am sitting here for 10h now and I can't figure out how to use the joystick/find it on CubeMX or whatsoever.The doc says it is related to a Multifunction Expander and the communication is through I2C1.I tried sending a hi
