HiFor the past few days I've been trying to get a dual core project with FreeRTOS and the LoRaWAN Stack for a custom STM32WL55 design to work but the CubeIDE seems to not properly generate everything that's required for it to work.When blindly generating a project, everything compiles well but the program halts in the MBMUXIF_SystemInit function because the IPCC Data Buffer hasn't been placed at the right location. This buffer apparently should be placed inside of the MAPPING_TABLE section which is not created anywhere in the linker script so it just gets placed in the data section. There's also other linker sections being referenced in the code that simply just not exist. The Linker script seems to be a generic one not at all designed to work with the LoRaWAN library. I also couldn't find any documentation anywhere about how to do it manually.When creating that linker section and setting the IPCCDBA value accordingly with the STM32CubeProgrammer, it successfully gets past that check b

Hi,I'm implementing signal processing code.(cs42l51 audio in --> stm32 --> cs42l51 audio out)And i'm using STM32H7B3-discovery kit.I have some question about frame format of sai and cs42l51.When i send sine wave data from stm32 to cs42l51, the waveform is not sine wave.(like noise)First question is about frame format.I'm implementing to send AIN1A to AOUTA and AIN1B to AOUTB.I set sai setting like below.frame length : 32bitactive length : 16bitactive slot : 0, 1mode : stereo modeI think I set sai frame like this. Is it right?Second question is about sai callback.In audio example, output callbacks are divided into two.(half callback, callback complete)Does half callback mean that the LRCK is in a low state?Last question is about slot.I'm wondering about below part.(STM32H7B3 reference manual P.2172 FS roll) I set the slot size to 2 and i'm using one left(AOUTA) / one right(AOUTB).The right and left channel are each 1, so i can't set it to 0.5.What does this mean?Regards,

I hope someone can help me with my problem. In a recent post I talked about my problems getting DMA work with the ADC. This does work, sort of.Now to my problem: The ADC is triggered by a timer update event. Then the data is transferred via DMA to a buffer. The problem is, that the values in the DMA buffer are random (?) values. I verified with an osilloscope that the timings of the measurements are correct:The yellow line is toggled after the buffer is filled completely, the blue line is the signal to be measured. The sampling frequency (and the frequency of the timer) is 500kHZ, so well within the ADC spec (event the slow ones have a sample rate of 1MHz). The buffer has a size of 256, so the frequency of the yellow line fits this as well.This is what the first 100 values in the ADC buffer actually look like: Looks like a sine wave with a really low sample rate, doesn't it? But if the HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback-interrupt is called at the right time, then this should

Hi Im looking for he hands on application for the "mooc - stm32wl workshop - 4 point" as on you tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7OoTStkczs . Anyone got a link to where I can get the exact same applications?Many ThanksScott

Hello,according to the product selector on the ST website, the only MCU from L412 series that has SMPS and is in production is STM32L412RB with 64 pins in LQFP and UFBGA package.In the product specification v6, on p57 at the PIN definitions table, I can find only WLCSP36 SMPS and LQFP64 SMPS. in some supplies there are UFBGA, LQFP and QFN.STM32L412RBT6PSTM32L412CBT6PSTM32L412CBU6PSTM32L412RBI6PWhere can I find the pin description for the missing ones in packages: 48pin QFN, 48 pin LQFP, 64 pin UFBGA?Is ST really producing 48 pin QFN and 48 pin LQFP or these are mistakes on the suppliers' page (I already asked Mouser and they confirmed that they have them so it seems they are really produced, but not marked on the ST website)?thank you.

Is the GPIO ASCR register purposefully left out of the register section of the reference manual for STM32L4+ series?Thanks

i have tried TIMER PWM DMA in STM32F0103C8T6TR and BLUEPILL STM32F103C8T6 but i cant get variable PWM at CH1 in any one of them. is there any bug in cubeMX generated code?my code is attached below.

We would like this to be done though the St-Link virtual COM port that we see appears in windows when the MINI USB cable is plugged in.The code seems to have some of this in place but it does not work...#define COMn               ((COM_TypeDef)1)#define COM1_UART             USART6Usart6 seems like its the correct uart to use on the STM32 part that connects to the St-Link HW.How to we send and receive to the PC from the demo code?

Hey there,I'm trying to access STM32G071's backup register TAMP_BKP0R, PWR_CR1 is set successfully, however I can't store anything in the backup register.enum backup_reg{foo0, foo1, foo2, LOW_POWER_RESET};      RCC_APBENR1 |= RCC_APBENR1_PWREN_MASK;      /* Disabling backup domain write protection */      PWR_CR1 |= PWR_CR1_DBP_MASK;      /* RTC clock enable */      RCC_BDCR |= RCC_BDCR_RTCSEL_MASK;      RCC_BDCR|= RCC_BDCR_RTCEN_MASK;      TAMP_BKP0R = LOW_POWER_RESET;

Hello, there may be mistake in ST library. In reference manual registers are like that.In the library SEMA4_RSTGT has two different addresses for read and write but those are in the same address.With this when I try to reset gate it goes to one of error handlers, if I comment out RSTGT_W I can reset gates without any problem.

Hi everyone,I'm trying to understand if it's possible to use the sleep mode of the F401RE and then restore its state as soon as a NFC reader polls for the tag.From what I understood, the NFC04A1 tag has a built-in mechanism that triggers interrupts based on particular events. For example, in my application I enabled the RF_ACTIVITY interrupt, which helps me avoid writing into tag's memory while being polled by the reader. So, could I use this interrupt to also come back from sleep mode on the F401RE MCU?If I enter sleep mode at every loop cycle, the MCU waits for the RF_ACTIVITY interrupt from the tag (which becomes an I2C interrupt for the MCU), so it's waken up only by the interrupt, completes its loop cycle, and then enters sleep mode again.Is this possible?Thank you!

I'm talking to a camera device on I2C1. That is working fine. I read back the data via DMA on a scan signal. This also works fine except for one bit, D6, mapped to GPIO PA6. If the output pin from the camera is connected to PA6, I2C1 stops working. Further investigation shows that PA6 is being driven with the same signal as PB6, which is I2C1's clock. In my debug, nothing is connected to PB6, PA6, but I still see the clock appear on PA6. See image below. PA6 is an input, with an internal pullup. PB6 also has an internal pullup.Again, there is nothing connected to these pins except the logic analyzer. The signals are too wide to be glitches, they are driven. There isn't a single reference to PA6 in the entire reference manual (RM0394, ctrl-f pdf search) so I'm a bit confused.

Hello,I have seen that it is possible to use templates to modify the output code generated by STM32CubeMX. However, I'm having difficulty to get some examples.Also, I was wondering if with the help of templates the two following points can be achieved:1.- Peripherals like timers init function can accept arguments and not just be: e.i. MX_TIM1_Init2.- If main function can be renamed, in order for me to use the autogenerated code on several projects with others main function. Inother words only use STM32CubeMX to configure hardware.Thank you,Best regards !

Hi, I am using TouchGFX 4.16.1. Could you suggest a tutorial or some other material to add a second language to my project. Thank you.

I'm got a Nucleo-F746ZG connected to a DC motor, which I'm driving via PWM using TIM1.I'm using TIM3 in quadrature encoder mode to read the encoder on the motor. The problem I'm encountering is the TIM3 CNT register is not incrementing fast enough. The encoder on the motor generates 500 counts per revolution of the motor, and I've verified this using an oscilloscope to look at the two encoder outputs and comparing the expected counts with the motor's RPM as measured by a tachometer connected to the output shaft.At a measured speed of 3108 RPM, I see encoder edges every 10 microseconds, which is exactly what I expect. TIM3 is set up to count on every rising and falling transition of the two encoder outputs, so I'd expect TIM3's CNT to increase at a pretty fast rate, but I'm seeing it increase at only around 20-30 counts every 100 milliseconds, which is way too low. Occasionally the count even decreases. I'm having a hard time understanding why this is happening. The motor is spinning in

Hi all,I believe I am having a problem with the IWDG in my project. What's happening is that immediately after entering sleep mode the device wakes up again.From the research I have done, it looks like this is inevitable, and in order to deal with it I need to check the wakeup state at the start of my code, and put it back to sleep if it was woken up by the watchdog instead of the WKUP pin being pulled high.I am struggling to figure out how to do this within the HAL, I know it can be done, I have seen it in projects at work, but I am not a FW engineer, and that code was written with custom libraries.Any help would be appreciated.Cheers,Luke

I am using below commponet MCU: STM32H7B3IIT6SDRAM: IS45S16800F-7CTLA1-TR  FLASH: MX25LM51245GMI00I am revising the card design according to high speed signals. But how do I calculate the length of the paths to be drawn for SDRAM and FLASH?How many mm and how much impedance should it have?

I am currently using NUCLEO-WL55JC board. However, I could not initialize the logic analyzer.The watch tab works well, but the analyzer window seems not working. And, I have an error at the bottom showing "Trace: No Synchronization". I set the core frequency (4 MHz) as the same as board's frequency (4 MHz) as you see in the watch tab.I checked SWO pin, it is connected. What is your advice?

I need to show a pop-up window when a particular condition satisfies. I created a model window and showed it when the condition satisfies. However, when I have multiple screens, do I have to create this model window each and every screen? Is there a way to create it once and show it no matter whatever screen is currently active? I don't want to change the screen but show the pop-up in current screen itself.
