I'm developing application on stm32H7 and a need to execute small function from RAM. I add RamFunc derective, and describe in linker *(.RamFunc) in .data section. As a result, i certainly see, that function code moved to RAM address space. I compare byte to byte content of FLASH address with no RamFunc derective and RAM code with RamFunc. As A result it's clear that startup function move my code from FLASH to RAM. Than i try just to execute my function from main just calling "fucntionName();", but then i get an interrupt /** * @brief This is the code that gets called when the processor receives an  *     unexpected interrupt. This simply enters an infinite loop, preserving *     the system state for examination by a debugger. * @param None    * @retval None    */  .section .text.Default_Handler,"ax",%progbitsDefault_Handler:Infinite_Loop:&nbsp

hello guys, I want to config SPI to communicate with TJA1145 .the 4 pins are shown in the picture. but I test the signal by OScilloscope and I found nothing in the four pin which means no meaningful signal. for example the CS pin is always high and no pulse signal in SCK pin.I list majority signals here , could you pls help me to analysis the config and whether I miss something?thanks in advance.

Hi,I´m using an stm32f401 and observing suspicious behaviour on the I2C slave.My issue is that I get transmit completed callback after master has read 1 byte, but I have called HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_IT to send 2 bytes.I´m trying to send 2 bytes by calling:HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_IT(&i2cHandle, data, 2, I2C_FIRST_FRAME);Then I receive HAL_I2C_SlaveTxCpltCallback(&i2cHandle);Just after the host(I2C master) has read 1 byte.I have checked that I2C_SlaveTransmit_TXE is called as 2 times for unknown reason.I´m using raspberrypi as the I2C master and can reproduce the issue by calling (in the terminal)i2ctransfer -y 1 r1@0xAddrIf I instead call the slave transmit api with data size as 3 bytes:HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_IT(&i2cHandle, data, 3, I2C_FIRST_FRAME);I will receive the callback after 2 bytes are read by the host.Is this a known issue, or expected behaviour?

According to my experiences, STM32CubeIDE (1.9.0) does not support SWV message via ITM when using ST-Link GDB server, but it does so via OpenOCD. However, Keil µVision 5 does support ITM tracing, even bidirectional, via the 'Debug (printf) Viewer', when selecting the ST-Link option. What driver is Keil using that STM32CubeIDE isn't?

I am trying to develop an application in C/C++ (QT) to perform an ISO 15693 R2H FTM data transfer with an STDV04 tag using the STR25R3111DISCOComm DLL. I am able to link to the DLL, connect to the DISCO board and perform a passive read on my tag using my own code. I have also been able to perform successful FTM transfers using the ST Tag Editor. But it is not at all clear how I perform those transfers in my code using the DLL.Below is the log from ST25DV FTM Demo of the type of transfer I wish to perform. How do I reproduce that with DLL calls?I tried using iso15693TxRxNBytes() to send the data that is being logged as sent by the ST25R3911B_SENDRECEIVE commands, but when I get to sending command 0xAA, I always get an INVALID_CRC error back.Reading other posts, I think I need to use the rfalStartTransceive() / rfalGetTransceiveStatus() commands, but I cannot workout what I need to actually send. They always just return data that suggests that I am sending the wrong thing,

I'm using STM32CubeMX to develop an app for the STM32F030. I've done this many times and thought I understood the various issues - but I'm having a hell of a time getting a basic timer (TIM6) to run (interrupt-driven).The generated init code is: htim6.Instance = TIM6; htim6.Init.Prescaler = 0; htim6.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim6.Init.Period = 816; htim6.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_ENABLE; if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim6) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }Then I start it with this: (The GPIO is for debugging - see below).HAL_GPIO_WritePin(TP5_GPIO_Port, TP5_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); //!!! HAL_GPIO_WritePin(TP5_GPIO_Port, TP5_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); //!!!   // Start the system timer HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim6);   HAL_GPIO_WritePin(TP5_GPIO_Port, TP5_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); //!!! HAL_GPIO_WritePin(TP5_GPIO_Port, TP5_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); //!!!Finally, my interrupt handler simply asserts a GPIO test point and increments a global variable:/**

I'm making a simple PCB to interface with the SWIM and JTAG of the ST-LINK /V2. I would like to use the standard cables that came with the ST-LINK /V2 programmer, so I need to know the name of the connectors used on the SWIM and JTAG interface.Appreciate if someone knows this off hand or can otherwise help me identify them.

Hello everyone,I would like to transmit strings of characters (which could be different sizes) using the Nucleo's UART serial communication. I'm using HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart2, &rx_buffer, 1), which receives the characters one by one and stores them into my rx_buffer, replacing the previous one.If I increase the amount of data elements to be received, the smaller strings of characters will not be enough to fulfill the expected amount of data elements to be received, and the HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback() will not be triggered.Is there a way to get the whole string of character, or to know if the the communication has ended, like a timeout flag?Thanks in advance!Loïc

Im having problems with DMA SPI transmit. Im using stm32f429zi mcu and would like to implement SPI DMA with MOSI only, I dont need MISO. SPI and DMA configuration was generated using CubeMX. Using HAL_SPI_Transmit function SPI works great. But HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA does not send anything and gets stuck in while loop where it checks HAL_SPI_STATE_READY flag. HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA returns HAL_OK. I am thinking that I have missed something in configuration but I havent been able to figure it out yet. If I create data to receive buffer and use HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA it also does not send anything but it doesnt get stuck in loop as spi status is ready.Im monitoring MOSI and SCK pin with logic analyzer.Here is my codePeripheralInit.c:void MX_SPI5_Init(void) { /* SPI5 parameter configuration*/ hspi5.Instance = SPI5; hspi5.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi5.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi5.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi5.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW;

STM32F407Why does the fifth pin of port D stay on?Here is the code:RCC->AHB1ENR|=RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIODEN;GPIOD->MODER&=0UL;GPIOD->IDR&=0UL;There are 3 volts on pin 5 of port D (I checked with a multimeter).The IDR register looks like this: IDR: 0000 0000 0010 0000The ODR register looks like this: ODR: 0000 0000 0000 0000

I've spend a lot of time on this, and I am out of ideas.I'm a test engineer, and I have a bunch of boards my customer wants programmed.I run the command STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=swd -w "C:\FW.hex" -v -q but it will fail a lot. I wrote 90% in the title, but it's so odd, because once it works, which may take 10 attempts, it will most likely work again and again if I just keep running that command. I have tried multiple computers, and they all exhibit this behaviour. The customer says they always manage to program the boards with zero issue whatsoever.It used to work just fine, when I programmed dozens of these boards last year. Maybe the programmer is broken. If I could just buy a new V3, I would, but nowhere is in stock. If anybody knows how I can get one, please give me advice. This is my only unit. STM32F407VGT6Here is my code:#include "main.h"int main(void){RCC->AHB1ENR|=RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOAEN; while (1) { }}For port A registers (pins 13 and 14) is the configuration done in the IDE? In the code, I did not find the configuration of port A registers, but SWD still works.What settings are needed to install SWD on pins 13 and 14 of port A?I looked at the GPIOA_MODER register, it looks like this: 1010 1000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000It turns out pins 13 and 14 are set to Alternate function mode.For some reason, pin 15 of port A is also set to Alternate function mode, although pin 15 of port A is a general purpose pin.I cleared those GPIOA->MODER=0; bits, but they are not overwritten when the IDE is restarted.I have to erase the whole chip to get into it.In the code, I did not find where port A is configured, but if the configuration occurs through the IDE, then why are the bits not restored after I erase them GPIOA->MODER=0;------------------------Port A regist

Problem: I am trying to create a bootloader and a user application to do my Over the air project. So for custom bootloader I had selected sector 0 and sector 1 of flash memory. (Address starts at 0x08000000) and from sector 2 I want my user application. So I created both of them and when flashing bootloader I don't have any problem with cubeIDE. Now when I flash application on sector 2, the earlier bootloader section 0 is getting erased. How can I prevent from happening in cubeIDE. If I use cube programmer I have control over the options, but how can I do that with STM32 Cube Ide?-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Details:I use STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.6.0Build: 9614_20210223_1703 (UTC)Hardware: Nucleo-F411re

I am working on a USB device based on a STM32H743 MCU, using ThreadX/AZURE and USBX.According to RM0433 (the reference manual for STM32H742, STM32H743/753 and STM32H750), the USB peripheral supports:- bidirectional endpoint 0- 8 IN endpoints- 8 OUT endpointsHowever, _ux_dcd_stm32_endpoint_create() reports a UX_NO_ED_AVAILABLE failure whenever I try to use any matching IN and OUT endpoint, for example IN8 and OUT8. Am I missing anything? Is it a bug? Is there a workaround?Thanks!Bart

I'm using a stm32f469-disco in a project that require CAN bus connectivity, but after the CAN configuration from the file .ioc the hal_can source file is not imported, so i can't even build the project (error with HAL_CAN_Init).

STM32F407VGT6Why is access to the Microcontroller broken after this code?The MODER register after this code should look like this: 00000000000000000000000000000011this is Analog mode for pin 0 of port A.int main(void){RCC->AHB1ENR|=RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOAEN;GPIOA->MODER=0x3; while (1) { }} Same but with port B or C does not throw an errorRCC->AHB1ENR|=RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOBEN;GPIOB->MODER=0x3;-----------------------------RCC->AHB1ENR|=RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOCEN;GPIOC->MODER=0x3; ----------------------------Port A is compatible with Analog modeA user button is connected to pin 0 of Port A, but it is not pressed, which means it does not interfere with the execution of the code.

I am using the SBSFU project for OTA.I have linked my UserApp successfully with SBSFU projects and firmware up-gradation is working fine when FIREWALL protection is disabled.I am using the STM32L4 series controller and am aware of L4 series firewall-related issues.So I want to know how I can use firewall protection only for Flash by disabling firewall protection for SRAM1.The datasheet mentioned that if we pass length 0 of Volatile data segment (SRAM1) and VDS = 1 then protection is disabled for SRAM1 but I am still getting firewall reset.How can I bypass SRAM1 firewall protection?

Studying the example application in the STSW-IMG 023 software I noticed that in the main.c file in the static void MX_I2C1_Init (void) function a clock speed equal to 1000000 (10 ^ 6) is configured, but if I go to the CubeMX file from where the project was generated I read 100000 kbit / s instead (10^5). Is it correct?  If in the main.c file I wrote 10^5 instead of 10^6, the application does not work correctly. Only 10^6 work correctly. Can you help me understand why? Moreover, in the comment on the field init.ClockSpeed I read "This parameter must be set to a value lower than 400kHz"I was using version 1.3.0, but this fact is also present in 1.3.1

Lets start with what works... I can write NDEF payload to ST25DV via I2C and read it back via I2C and using NFC Tools App.... This works fine and perfectly. I can also write NDEF messages using NFC Tools, and read back what I wrote no problem. The exact issue comes up when I try to read what I wrote to the ST25DV tag (using NFC Tools) using NFC. I don't get garbage exactly... i do get some correct bytes out (the NDEF header is mostly correct), but the payload data portion seems corrupted. What i get from reading via I2C is repeatable...as in I read the same corrupted data with every read. If I write a new NDEF message via I2C, then the corruption no longer exists and I can read back the NDEF message that I wrote (via I2C) without issue. NFC Tools App allows you to read the memory from the ST25DV. The memory I am reading doesn't match what I read via I2C after I write to the ST25DV using the NFC Tools App. The NFC Tools App seems to have access to a different memory then what the I2C do

Even though it is not really advertised as having changed a lot, it looks like the U5 increased the throughput of the PKA unit nearly 3 fold (upper L5, lower U5):Is this really the case or did the way of obtaining those numbers change in between (e.g. by using different curves)?I was very surprised when I saw those numbers because the marketing/summary material only mentioned hardening, not performance increase.

Hello,I would like to measure the period of a square wave (around 1 kHz) with a timer in input capture configuration. I am using TIM5_CH3 on pin PA2 (nucleo G474RE).I would like to receive a bit of help in debugging my code since i am not able to measure the period of an external waveform (also tracked on my oscilloscopes). void TIM5_Init_ToMeasurePeriod (void){ // Enable the GPIOA Clock RCC-> AHB2ENR |= (1<<0); // Enable the GPIOA clock writing 1 in bit 0 // Configure the GPIO GPIOA -> MODER |= (1<<5); // Port PA2 configured as alternate function GPIOA -> AFR[0] |= (1<<9); // Set alternate Function 2 i.e. TIM5_CH3 for PA2 // Enable the timer clock RCC->APB1ENR1 |= (1<<3); // Enable the tim5 clock writing 1 in bit 3 // Set the timer timebase TIM5 -> PSC = 1; // 80 MHz/2= 40MHz clock --> 0.025 us count set the resolution (1ms=40000 counts) TIM5-> ARR = 0xFFFF; TIM5 -> CCMR2 |= (1<<0); // CC3 channel configu
