Hello, I'm currently working on an STM32G031G8U on a custom PCB. I can't really debug the code as I don't have access to ST-Link or SWDIO/SWCLK pins.I haven't managed to set TIM1 internal clock to 128 MHz as stated in the reference manual (section 5.2.13) and the datasheet (section 3.16).I'm currently using the TIM1 at 64 MHz to fire an interrupt every 64 µs. I reduced the ISR code to toggle a GPIO output pin (led), wait a few µs, and toggle the pin again. Then I observe pin output on an oscilloscope and I do measure the expected 64µs period. So far, so good.When I try to set TIM1 at 128 MHz, the processor seems to go into fault mode (LED is not being driven anymore) instead of having a period twice as fast as the former one.I used two configs on CubeMX to generate the RCC and TIM config code to set the timer at 128 MHz (refer to the attached pictures). In the schematic of the ethernet configuration it is indicated that 3 components are not assembled: R28, R33 and R120. My question is, should I solder them for it to work?

We have developped a set of recources - C en H files - which are used in many projects. How can we easily integrate these files in new and existing STM32Cube projects (CubeIDE version 1.8.0) and workspaces?

I've just started with STM32s and have to say I'm finding the whole toolset incredibly confusing. I've managed to put together a first USB host project in STM32CubeIDE after doing a very simple one in the Arduino IDE very easily, but now I seem need to go and buy an ST-link? I'm particularly unclear of the role of STM32CubeProgrammer. I'm using it on Mac and it connects to my STM32F411 "Black Pill' over USB just great. But that doesn't seem to be a very useful thing, as it doesn't connect to STM32CubeIDE and I still can't then use the IDE to do anything except compile. Even stranger is that STM32CubeProgrammer seems to be the way the Arduino IDE connects to my STM32 and that works great.Any clues here would be very much appreciated.(Also apologies if this is the wrong spot for such newbie questions, but the search functionality on these forums doesn't seem to change what I results I see no matter what I search on.)

when i searched datasheet about MPC5646, i found a datasheet of SPC56ECxx, this two mcu have same hardware pin, could they be used as substitution of each other?

Hi,We are using stm32mp157a processor in my custom board.I need to select SPI2_NSS for PB9 But when i configure PB9 as SPI2_NSS it is not configured as SPI2_NSS.We are unable to enable Hardware NSS signal Option in Stm32 cube MX but it is mentioned in Data Sheet.How can i come out of this?Thank You.

I was working ISM330DLC sensor which I have interfaced with the my dev board nucleo 144 STM32F446. I'm using SPI protocol to get the raw data and also I'm able to read who am I register using following example codes "ism330dlc_read_data_polling.c". For using need .axf file, not found in my project((. How receive it file? May be need more IDE settings?

I’m trying to see if I can debug a STM Nucelo H7A3 with an Olimex ARM-USB-OCD-H debugger. I’m have the debugger connected to the Nucelo with the Olimex ARM-JTAG-SWD and ARM-JTAG-20-10. Is there a way to tell l STM32CubeIDE to use the Olimex debugger? I did try with VisualGDB connected to the Nucleo but I get this error when I try to download and debug and the same error when I test the connection during project setup. Error: Error connecting DP: cannot read IDRI’ve been trying to get some help from Olimex but it looks like they don’t have anymore suggestions to offer. I’m hoping someone else has used the Olimex debugger on a STM32 Nucleo or other SMT32 development board and that there’s an easy answer before I have to invest in the significantly more expensive Segger debugger. Any help will be appreciated.Thanks

By mistake, I ended up setting PA14 (SWCLK) as an input GPIO. Didn't catch the mistake until after the MCU had already been flashed. So, after that I can't connect to it anymore using ST-Link.Since I'm using a STM32G030F6 (TSSOP-20) chip, for this chip the boot0 pin is shared with the same PA14. I did try to connect PA14/BOOT0 to either GND and VCC (and reset the board afterwards each time), but I wasn't able to get it into bootloader mode.Also attempted to connect with STM32CubeProgrammer via UART (to UART2, on PA2/PA3), but that wasn't successful, despite many attempts. As I understand, to access UART1 I need to set the SysCfg remapping registers so PA11/PA12 become PA9/PA10, so connecting (via CubeProg) to UART1 didn't work either.So I've run out of options to try to connect to chip and re-flash it with a code that enables PA14 as SWCLK again.Are there additional procedures I could try?

Virgin STM32L4 always shows "Mass erase operation failed. Pleaes verify flash protection" error in STM32CubeProg. It is a virgin device, I guess as factory setting there should be no write protection. How could I flash it at all?Thank you very much!

What is the max frequency when driving the LPTIM from an external clock?I would like to drive the LPTIM1 from a STM32L433 to control a Boost switch regulator. Since we can clock LPTIM1 from 80MHz PLL internal. Is this limit safe for external as well?Ideally, we want 250kHz switching frequency while keeping STOP1 MCU.

This really seems like a simple thing, but I cannot figure it out. I am getting a linker error "cannot find -l:libtouchgfx-float-abi-hard.a". I can see the file so I know it exists, but it's not finding it. Adding the file manually to the include folder in project explorer does not work.

Hi,I'm using the FIFO of the LSM6DSL IMU sensor to sample accelerometer and gyroscope values. I'm sampling the FIFO only once the watermark is true and read the FIFO as long as the number of patterns in the FIFO is not zero. I read the FIFO faster than it gets filled by setting an application timer every 50ms that empties the FIFO (if the watermark is true).However, no matter I use the maximum SPI frequency or anything, I can never get as high of a sampling rate as expected. When the accelerometer or gyroscope are sampling at 416Hz, I get about 410 Hz actual samples. This number is different for different sensors (same hardware and firmware) and it can be 412 or 414 Hz, but never 416Hz. I lose a similar number of samples (about 1.4%) for different sampling rates.Based on this discussion and this other, it seems this is due to the IMU's internal clock inaccuracy. So, is there nothing I can do to know how many samples I should expect? It seems each individual sensor has a particular freq
