Hello everyone,I'm trying to develop an application with LwIP without an operating system using the STM32C5A3x.When I set the LwIP operating system to “No OS,” I see some files in the CMake project that call FreeRTOSConfig.h, and the compilation fails.  Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? I’d also like to ask if there’s any information about the release of a new version of STM32CubeMX2.Thanks for help.

Hi all,I'm designing a LoRa node with STM32WL55JCU6 (UFBGA73), using RFO_LP only (+14 dBm, high band 868 MHz). My starting point is the MB1842 reference design, which uses a BGS12SN6 RF switch between the TX and RX paths. For UFQFPN48, ST provides direct-tie reference designs without a switch (MB1789). For UFBGA73, both MB1842 and MB1849 use an RF switch, and I couldn't find a direct-tie BGA73 reference.Questions:1. Is direct-tie recommended on UFBGA73 in LP mode?2. Has anyone implemented it on BGA73? If so, what matching network did you use, and how did TX power and RX sensitivity compare to the switched design?3. Are the TX/RX impedances for UFBGA73 available to design a direct-tie network per AN5457?Thanks!

Background: I am trying to bring up simultaneous operation of both FDCAN peripherals on an STM32G0, but due to a combination of unfamiliarity with the clock internals, and a misleading baud rate calculator, I spent a while trying to debug what I thought was a non-functioning FDCAN2 peripheral, but was actually working at an unexpected frequency.   FDCAN1 configuration: FDCAN2 configuration (noting that the prescaler is 8, while the clock divider is 1): with this configuration, FDCAN2 transmission works as expected (verified using a PEAK CAN dongle) at 250kbaud when I am running it on its own in normal operation -- started the FDCAN2 peripheral using HAL_FDCAN_Start(&hfdcan2). However, if I also start FDCAN1, then I can no longer read any transmissions from my CAN dongle. After unsuccessfully attempting to debug the issue in firmware, probing my CAN lines revealed that FDCAN2 was operating at 30kbuad (250k/8 = 30k). Going back at the CubeMX configuration, I tried changin

We're bringing up an ST87M01 module on a custom board and have not yet achieved a successful first AT command response. We've implemented what we believe is the correct wake/power sequence based on your EC-Lib reference source and a third-party open-source host library, but want to confirm we're not missing an ST87M01-specific requirement before we keep debugging on our end. What we've implementedVBAT_DCDC_EN, NRESET (active low), WAKE_UP (active low) and RING are driven via a host-side I2C GPIO expander, not directly from MCU pins. Power-up sequence: assert NRESET high (out of reset), hold WAKE_UP idle-high, wait ~3 s settle, then pulse WAKE_UP low for ~100 ms and release it high. Separately, we also send a single \r byte over UART before each AT command (per the wake behavior we observed in ST87EC_Wrapper_WakeUp() in your EC-Lib reference), followed by a short settle delay before sending the actual command. We're currently sending both the GPIO WAKE_UP pulse and the UART \r wake, sinc

Hi,The CRA is making Secure Boot and Secure Update increasingly important for a wide range of products.I have fully reviewed the playlist at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnMKNibPkDnGd7J7fV7tr-4xIBwkNfD-- as well as documents UM2262 and AN5056.Unfortunately, AN5056 is far too brief to properly understand how to implement this yourself. The video series only features controllers that are already covered in the existing examples.I wanted to ask if it might make sense to continue the video series and address these specific points. I believe this would be a huge help to many customers.Right now, I feel like it will take me months to customize SBSFU for my needs. Both the video series and AN5056 lack coverage of fundamental aspects, such as:-Changing the update interface from UART to something else—for example, USB (virtual COM) or CAN. Where exactly are the lines of code that need changing?-Implementing and explaining a controller that isn't currently covered by an example (e.g., ST

Hello, I’m using 6 of the STGAP3SXI as part of an IGBT 3 phase bridge driver. Each chip has its own 24V to isolated +15V and -9V switching supply (Meanwell GD2-241509) and the logic side is powered with a separate +5V supply. Everything runs normal except once in a while I get a random low signal on one of the chips on the READY pin which causes the MPU to issue a fault and shutdown. The datasheet says this is an error signal for the logic side under volt lockout, the isolated side under volt lockout, and the chip over temperature sensor. The diagram shows that the READY signal will return high after the voltages have risen above the min thresholds and chip temperature has lowered. However, the voltages from the supplies are above the UVLO thresholds on both sides and the chip temperature is nowhere close to its trip point. Also, when this occurs, the READY signal never returns high and only a total power down will reset it. Is this a noise issue locking up some function of the chip? I

I am using VL53L4CX together with VL53L4CD’s ULD driver. This was discussed before in VL53L4CX using VL53L4CD ULD and it works just fine. I am now willing to improve power-consumption under long-lasting proximity monitoring.I understand that “VL53L4CX is a superset of VL53L4CD” but is it still true for low-power behavior ? Or does the VL53L4CD’s low-power capacity benefits from some permanent factory modification w/r to VL53L4CX ? According to this flyer, only VL53L4CD is rated for ultralow power.   And in case I cannot achieve VL53L4CD’s advertised lowpower specs (down to 50-ish µA) with the VL53L4CX, is it still relevant to use the VL53L4CD’s ULP driver to be as efficient as possible ? and are there some additional tweaks that could be made to this driver in that particular case ?

Hello,Recently I decided to run STM32N6 NPU under non-secure Zephyr and encountered a bug in LL_ATON library. To begin with, this is my platform and SW:Board: NUCLEO-N657X0-QSoC: STM32N657X0H3QLL_ATON: atonn-v1.1.3-275-g6770925dRuntime: NetworkRuntime1201_CM55_GCC.aSTEdge AI: v4.0.1-20581 7ed50de05   ISPU 2.0.1-RC2   MLC 1.2.4-RC2   STM32CubeAI 12.0.1-RC2Model: st_yolodv2milli_actrelu_pt_coco_person_192_qdq_int8.onnxSW: OEMUxROT (S) + Zephyr (NS)XIP: enabledMy application runs in non-secure world and the NPU keeps addressing AXISRAM3-6 through the secure alias (0x342...), so the memory pools in the generated network are placed there. Then, the non-secure CPU is unable to access that alias, because it is running in non-secure and should access via non-secure alias (0x242...). In most cases LL_ATON utilizes ATON_LIB_PHYSICAL_TO_VIRTUAL_ADDR to access correct region, but there are few places that pass address directly instead of utilizing proper macro.Reproduction steps:1. I created the following topic under MEMS (sensors) with the tags MEMS sensors, E-Compasses and STM32F4 series:“Can MotionMC v2.9.0 calibrate with constrained Alt-Azimuth motion only?” After publication, the topic appears under STM32 MCUs → Others: STM32 MCUs related, and only the STM32F4 series tag remains.Could you please move the topic back to MEMS (sensors) and restore the relevant MEMS sensors and E-Compasses tags?Thank you.

Main goal is to measure the RMS value of the mains, first question is can i perform the calculations using floating point or fixed point? The RMS requires the sqrtf function, can i use the function due to its number of cycles?

I’m currently working on a PMSM drive project using the HSO scheme. I am using MC-Workbench 6.4.2 with the STM32G474RET6 MCU on a custom-designed control board. After configuring the project in Workbench and downloading the firmware to my custom board, I used the Pilot interface to verify my hardware design. First, I ran the FOC in open-loop duty mode. The motor spins normally, and the waveforms such as phase current and phase voltage look basically acceptable. Then I started the Profiler for motor parameter identification. As soon as the identification process starts, the system throws an ERROR_DC_AC fault. This is where I am stuck now. I need to troubleshoot the root cause and check if there are any inappropriate configuration settings so that the automatic identification can complete successfully.      To identify the root cause of the above issue, I tested Iα, Iβ, phase voltages Uα and Uβ in open‑loop mode. The waveforms themselves look acceptable. However, I observed a strange

I am running STM32CubeMX2 (1.1.1) on a Mac (Tahoe 26.6.2) and I did (with some difficulty) get it installed and running. I configured a MCU (STM32C552CEUx) and generated an STM32CubeIDE project. No problem.I went back and copied the .ioc2 file, renamed it, and went to configure a different system. Everything was going fine until I tried to configure some new pins after adding middle ware (FreeRTOS and basic_stdio). I could not select pin functions in the graphic mode, table mode, or through activating the associated peripheral (I2C2) and updating the GPIO there. So, I closed CubeMX2 and restarted. Now I get the splash screens showing fine, but when they go away, I just get the spinning timer in the upper-left of an empty screen. In file, I can click Close Window which it will dutifully do, but then I have nothing. In view, Reload and Force Feload do not seem to do anything.   Any thoughts as to how to debug this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,I am using an STM32N6570-DK and I am seeing an issue when trying to start a TouchGFX application after programming the board. My setup is: STM32N6570-DK TouchGFX Designer 4.26.1 STM32CubeMX 6.18.1 STM32CubeIDE 2.2.0 STM32CubeProgrammer 2.23.0 ST-LINK firmware: V3J17M11 STM32 Debug+VCP I created a new project using TouchGFX Designer 4.26.1. The only additional component I added was a simple colored screen, just to have something visible when the application starts.I then generated the TouchGFX code from Designer and generated the project using STM32CubeMX 6.18.1 for STM32CubeIDE 2.2.0. The complete project builds successfully without any errors. To program the board, I do the following: Set BOOT0 = 0 Set BOOT1 = 1 Press the RESET button Use the LoadAll.bat script located in the project's Flash scripts folder, from the CubeIDE/Debug, to program the application The programming process completes successfully. After programming, I then: Set BOOT1 = 0 Press RESET However

We are using MotionMC v2.9.0 on STM32F407 with an LIS2MDL magnetometer and LSM6DSV16X IMU.Our application is an astronomical Alt-Azimuth mount, therefore the sensor can rotate around azimuth and altitude axes, but cannot be freely tumbled around all three axes.MotionMC is updated approximately every 10 ms (100 Hz), with LIS2MDL magnetic data converted to µT.During a test session we performed multiple azimuth sweeps at different elevations. After approximately 54,000 MotionMC updates the observed raw magnetic coverage was approximately:X span: 533 mGY span: 738 mGZ span: 616 mGDespite this relatively wide 3-axis magnetic coverage, MotionMC remained at quality 0 (UNKNOWN) for the entire session. Hard-iron bias remained {0,0,0} and the soft-iron matrix remained identity. With unrestricted manual 3D tumbling of the same hardware, MotionMC is able to reach GOOD calibration. We would like to understand whether MotionMC requires unrestricted 3-axis tumbling, or whether a two-degree-of-freedom A

Hi everyone,I'm working with some older Hindi content that was created using the Kruti Dev legacy font/encoding, and I need to use the text in a modern Unicode-based environment such as TouchGFX.From what I understand, simply changing the font isn't enough because Kruti Dev and Unicode use different character mappings. The legacy text needs to be converted to Unicode first, and then the appropriate Devanagari font can be used. For anyone dealing with the same issue, I found this Unicode to Kruti Dev Converter useful for converting between Unicode Hindi and Kruti Dev text.Has anyone here used a similar workflow with TouchGFX? Are there any additional issues I should watch for with Devanagari glyphs, character rendering, or font generation? Thanks!

GreetingsI am apprentice in electronics and for a school project I am trying to build a digital clock based on an STM32. I want to use an ST7735 based SPI display to show the time, because I am already familiar with the Adafruit GFX library (I did something similar on Arduino before). Since I have never done a project before, where I am selecting my MCU, although I already have some experience regarding PCB design. My questions/criteria are as follows:I want to have a MCU that I can solder by hand, therefore BGA packages and the like are out of the question The MCU needs to be compatible with the mentioned graphics library, I am aware of HAL libraries but would need assistance in choosing one I need at least 7 or 8 GPIOs to be available, so I can use external buttons to change the time I assume SPI and I2C (might  I want to be able to do the programming directly with the MCU soldered to the board, should I implement the programming interface via USB or should I use the SW pins?If I wer
