Question

Topic published in wrong product forum and tags removed

I created the following topic under MEMS (sensors) with the tags MEMS sensors, E-Compasses and STM32F4 series:

“Can MotionMC v2.9.0 calibrate with constrained Alt-Azimuth motion only?”

After publication, the topic appears under STM32 MCUs → Others: STM32 MCUs related, and only the STM32F4 series tag remains.

Could you please move the topic back to MEMS (sensors) and restore the relevant MEMS sensors and E-Compasses tags?

Thank you.

You mean this?

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Yes, exactly that one.
I originally created it under MEMS (sensors) with the tags MEMS sensors, E-Compasses and STM32F4 series, but after publication it appeared under STM32 MCUs → Others: STM32 MCUs related with only the STM32F4 series tag.
Thank you.

Well, the question does seem to be about the embedded software rather than the sensors themselves?

Yes, it is about embedded software, but specifically about the MotionMC MEMS middleware/library and its magnetometer calibration algorithm when used with the LIS2MDL.
That is why I originally selected the MEMS (sensors) forum and the E-Compasses tag rather than a generic STM32 software forum.
However, if STM32 MCUs → Others is considered the appropriate place for MotionMC software questions, I am happy to leave the topic there. My main concern was making sure it is visible to people familiar with MotionMC / MEMS software and keeping the relevant MEMS/E-Compasses tags.
Thank you.
