MX 5.4.0 Bug: cubemx stuck at copying library files while Generating code

can anyone help me with this problem cubemx is stuck at copying library file while i try to generate code for keil mdk version 5.28 cannot close the window and have to terminate the program using task manager i am using windows 10 system0690X00000ArJc0QAF.png

Did you try to reinstall MX?

Yes i tried that also previously i was using 5.3 version(the same error persisted there, hence i updated mx to 5.4) deleted that installed 5.4 mx and since it was not working i reinstalled 5.4 but still no luck

I'm having the same problem here (STMCubeMX V5.28), program freezes at "Copying library files". Trying to fix this for last 4 hours. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I thought it was a problem with Java RTE, so I uninstalled the older version and reinstalled the latest 64 bit. Also no luck. Anyone able to comment or understands what is causing this? Would greatly appreciate any feedback...

Hi @Khouloud Zemmeli

I have the same problem too!

 It stuck on "copying library files" for hours! What's more, the whole program is stuck either. Neither clicking the close bottom nor ending the "stm32cubemx" progress in the task manager does any help to closing it. The only way to end the Cube is ending the JAVA program.

Since this problem approaches, I have tried every method I can do including reinstall CubeMX , jre , Keil, and HAL libraries, the luck is still not for me.

Hi!@Khouloud ZEMMELI​ , here's my ioc file attached.

But I don't think that the problem is about the ioc file. Because it works both on my Ubuntu Virtual Machine at Hyper-V and Windows Subsystem of Linux.

Do not put & in the file path.

      I'm having the same problem after I downloaded the new version of F24 Repository (V1.25).

      Found the issue.

      It happened when I copied the project into a new PC where I haven't downloaded (installed) the Middleware I'm using (CMSIS). After installing the Middleware properly, I was able to generate the code.

      This is different from the "&" directory name issue mentioned above but the hang up issue is the same.
