STMCubeIDE fails to create new STM32 Project

Just downloaded and installed STMcubeIDE 1.0.0 but it doesn't seem to work at all.

Tried to create a new project:

  • selected board Nucleo-F429ZI
  • tried to create a project

Fails as follows:

Any idea what's going on here?

Has anybody actually gotten this stuff to work?

Thanks,

Best Regards, Dave

Good to know, thank you for confirming it. I'll write a bug report for this.

The Generate Code button is not in the top right in the .ioc editor as it is in standalone MX.

When you are in the .ioc editor it is located under "Project -> Generate Code" or Alt + K by default.

The file is saved like a normal resource file, ctrl + s. Or where do you mean that you expect a save button that is grayed out to be?

Thanks @Markus GIRDLAND  - Please make sure you also write a

bug report for the non-standard Windows installation; needs to be in "Program Files" and not \ST !!

Any news on when there will be a release with these (and IOC import) bugs corrected?

Thanks,

Best Regards, Dave

That bug report is already written! :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:

There's a minor update soon but not with those two specific bugs corrected. I don't know what release the MX team is targeting with those two tickets.
