SDIO configuration for SD card : mounting/write/read/create file not working

ATH_23

I created a project in STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.15.1 for writing and reading a file in SD CARD using STM32-E407 development board for STM32F407ZGT6. But the project fails to mount the sd card as well as fails to create/write/read file into the SD card. Please find the attached document to review the code along with the clock configurations given to the project.

For your information, i tried both SDIO modes: 'SD 1 Bit mode as well as 'SD 4 Bits Wide bus mode.Kindly help me in solving the issue.

Hello,

Are you sure of your connections?

Are you sure if the SDCARD you are using is not corrupted? try to test your SDcard with another host: PC or phone etc .. and see if it does fail to read/write files..

I invite you to watch this video.

You can also inspire from that example in github.

Hi

Thanks @SofLit . I have been using class 4 sd card and its okay.I would like to show you the schematic of the sd card connection of STM32-E407 development board.

sd_card.png

Ok thank you for the sharing.

Based on that schematics, is that possible to adapt the example I provided previously from GitHub on your board.

You need just to take care of the RCC config and also to select the right SDIO GPIOs. We need to be sure that all the HW is OK including the SDcard.

Hi,

I can share you my firmware that is working with the SDCARD, no problem at all.

BTW, do you use fileX + ThreadX or you use fileX only? I had a problem that fileX and threadX cannot work together for quite sometime, still have no solution. Is your problem same with me?
