I installed STM32CubeProg and STM32CubeIDE on Ubuntu, while, when I plug-in my NUCLEO-F429ZI, it was prompted, st-link couldn't be detected, Prog was installed in a folder without sudo privilege and IDE installed in a folder with it, both were the same.

I just waited a while, and opened the IDE again, it prompted me to upgrade the FW of st-link, I updated it and restarted machine, then it were OK - the board could be detected in both IDE and Prog.
