BlueNRG-LP will still be on market as BlueNRG family. The new upcoming BlueNRG-LPF will be marketed as STM32WB09 and fully compatible and integrated within STM32Cube ecosystem, i.e. CubeIDE, CubeMX, etc...

How is the hardware level compatibility? Assuming I am not using Cube drivers for things like SPI, UART etc., is it still a difference comparable to using different STM32 Iterations or is the WB0/BlueNRG-LPF a completely different setup?

I like the direction this is developing.

A while back I looked at the BlueNRG-LP, as the features looked quite interesting.
But having to use all that different tooling for something that is basically a STM32 with an BLE radio, and the HAL being outdated compared to other STM32 Series wasn't very convincing at that time.
