Hello, I have several boards to design where we can fit everything into the STM32F103. We don't need USB, CAN, or Ethernet. However, the price for the '103 isn't that different from the '403 or the '722. So for a brand new project which family would be best to use? For long term availability is it better to use one of the newer processors like the STM32F722 even though we don't need the additional peripherals?
BTW, thank you for maintaining footprint compatibility: the STM32F103 in LQFP144 is almost exactly the same as the STM32F722 in LQFP144.

Hello @smithderek2000
Happy to see you satisfied with the footprint compatibility. For your next projects, you can use the product that you find better for your design. All those products, have a minimum of 10 years longevity commitment.
Best Regards.

What are your requirements for these "additional peripherals"? Are they something not connectable to 'F1 such as quad-SPI memories? Do you have security requirements for CM33 or trustzone? If 'F1 covers all your needs, it seems the best choice that will be produced by _someone_ (don't want to sound cynical, sorry...) as long as there's demand.
