Can i use motor pilot with custom board

I can use a motor profiler with a custom board, but can I use a motor pilot with the same software? Is it possible to use a motor pilot with a custom board?

Yes, it is possible to use the MotorPilot with a custom board as long as the Motor Control Protocol is enabled in the User Interface tab of the WorkBench.

Hi, I'm trying to do the same with a custom made board, i've selected the "motor Control option/tab" in the MC workbench, however when trying to builed the project in IDE i get the following error:
