What do you mean, "directly" ?

If you use Ethernet, you will still need the usual Ethernet magnetics, PHY, etc.

When you say, "increase the data rated speed" - relative to what?

Regarding the data transfer rate, I meant that Ethernet allows you to have high speed relative to other interfaces.
