Hi ST,
Newbie question with regards to finding the right documentation.
I went through previous threads trying to find an answer to this but I have not come across anything.
I have an older iteration of the STM32F072B-DISCO board (as I've discovered!). I was able to use the STM32CubeF0 Samples/Demonstration/Example files that still expects L3GD20 and it worked out fine, however I realized the discrepancy in documentation because the WHO_AM_I identifier of the MEMS module was different on the board vs. the documentation of the datasheet. All of the new materials points to it using I3G4250D MEMS module, but I saw no mention of the module being changed in the Release/Change Notes anywhere.
I was only able to find the schematic diagram of the board that has the L3GD20 module on it, and no other documentation:
I3G4250D - https://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/mb1076-f072b-d02_schematic.pdf
L3GD20 - https://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/mb1076-f072b-c01_schematic.pdf
Would you be able to guide me as to how I can find the rest of the documentation for the iteration of the board I have? Not sure what else has changed and I'd rather not do something to destroy the board in the process.
Thank you!

Hello @JS5,
Compared to the bill of materials, version D02 vs. C01:
- C9, C10 moved from 20 pF to 33 pF (foot capacitors of 8MHz STLINK XTAL)
- Added new C34 470 nF (due to MEMS change)
- Added new R45 10K (due to MEMS change)
- U3 changed from L3GD20TR to I3G4250D
- U4 changed from STM32F052RBT6 to STM32F072RBT6
I reported this issue internally to add this information to UM1690.
Internal ticket number: 198933 (This is an internal tracking number and is not accessible or usable by customers).
Thank you for your contribution to the community.
