VNQ9025AJ Output pin Current capacity

Hey, probably a dumb question, but I couldn’t find it in the datasheet. Can each pin of the VNQ9025AJ handle 30A, or is that the rating for the smart switch as a whole with a limit on each pin? Honestly, I’m hesitant to believe a single pin can handle 30A.

Hi,

each pin can...until protection limits it.

see ds:

So at 19...32A is the short circuit protection activated.

In real use it is for switching lights, so typical 5/20/55 W car lights will need about 0.5/2/5 A cont. ->

But all old style lamps have (cold) much higher inrush current, maybe 30A or more ;

to not kill the switch by this, it has the limit/protection.
