Regarding the shunt resistors connected to the SENSEA and SENSEB pins, the UM1829 has three 0.1 ohm resistors connected. Why is this?
The datasheet says one 0.1 ohm resistor.
Do I really need three of them?

The shunts with 100mohms in the data sheet are only examples, further information on their calculation can be found in the UM1829, section 4. With the three 100mohms per channel connected in parallel, which can also be seen in the UM1829, fig 2, you can utilize the maximum output current of the powerSTEP01, the parallel connection also distributes the power loss over these three resistors.
