The xfree86 and fbdev driver source code in the download section is woefully out of date.

Has anyone used this stuff with recient X or kernel?

Dispite the fact that the code appears old, there is no real need to update it as we have ironed out most of the problems and that the code is standard across all STPCs.

Therefore, it is continuously being used.

Cool. I'll give it a go then. Perhaps you should update the descriptions on the web page to indicate that its still current.

Having an own type of LCD, not supported by ST, it is required to compile the stuff on our own.

But - the directory structure changed between Xfree86 4.0 and 4.3.

It won't compile.

I sent my LCD data to a ST representative years ago - nothing happened.

I asked for the missing sources for compiling ''xfree86.a'' - nothing happened.

Now the tip: It is included now in the SDK 1.0 source tree (I think not the GDK 1.4), but not in the documentation for it. But only for XFree 4.0.

ST received a hack for 4.2.0 from a customer - but if haven't seen it online yet.

Best Regards
