Momory modification problem on RVDebug 1.6.1
2004-09-12 10:18 PM
When I use RVDebug to debug our own target board, I always encounter a problem on modifying the Register values.
My steps are: 1. view the GPIO1 registers C0: 0x7FFF C1: 0x7FFF C2: 0x0 D : 0x59FF 2. set C1 to 0x0 3. set C2 to 0x7FFF after step 3, all C0, C1, C2 and D are showed 0x3838 The momory content at 0xE0004000 is 0x38 0x00 0x01 0x00 0x38 0x00 0x01 0x00 0x38 0x00 0x01 0x00 0x38 0x00 0x01 0x00 0x38 0x00 0x01 0x00 0x38 0x00 0x01 0x00 ........ Anything goes wrong ? Besides, sometimes the RVDebug doesn't let me modify the memory content....2004-09-13 06:17 PM

I found that the crash problem is on our target board only,
and maybe the setting causes one short situation and crash the system. Besides, I can't modify the 15th bit of all GPIO groups to 1 both on our target board or on STR710 Eval-Board. The display on Register window and Memory window are not the same for bit It even has opposite value between two windows. see attached JPEG for example. Don't need specific operation sequence to reproduce this. Do yo have this circumstance on your side ?
