Hi community.. I am doing an application to display some text in a display 5 inches.. I am using stm32cubeide and touch gfx.. They are asking me to support the cyrillic and hebrew language. When i Set the text on the gui and i try to watch it statically it is working.. But when i try to do somethin shown below with the code i see ony question marks ?? in the display... textArea4.setColor(touchgfx::Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(236, 209, 18));//extra time? Unicode::strncpy(textArea4Buffer, parArea4[tipolingua][5], Unicode::strlen(parArea4[tipolingua][5])+1); textArea4.invalidate();where parArea4 it is the following and it is giving problems when the language is cyrillic or hebrew.. const char* parArea4[5][6] = { { "Preheating", "Ready", " ", "Baking", "Extra time", "Extra time?" }, { "Preriscaldo", "Pronto", " ", "Cottura", "Extra time", "Extra time?" },
I want to export texts.xml to .xlsx with running the following comand ruby translations.rb export texts.xml texts.xlsxthe problem is that it never finishes I left it running more than 30 minutes. Text.xml was generated by TouchGFX 4.21.2.This was working in version 4.20.0.Can someone please try to convert the text.xml included below.
last time also this problem was occured so I installed it again after that it run for some days now again the problem has occured. When I open Touchgfx one msg comeSorry - something unexpected has happened which caused an error to occur in the Designer. For more information, see the log file located at: C:\Users\Kaushal\AppData\Roaming\TouchGFX-4.21.3\TouchGFXDesigner.logPlease someone help to give the solution of it.
hi guys, I created a project, which was done with touchgfx 4.20.0. After the software has a new version 4.21.3, I use it to open the old version. After generating the code, a compilation error occurs, and the prompt is as followsh7b0_vbt_touchgfx\h7b0_vbt_touchgfx.axf: Error: L6218E: Undefined symbol touchgfx::paint::tearDown() (referred from painterrgb565.o). I can't find the reason, can you help me to find the reason? Thank you for your support.
Hello, I am using stm32f429 discovery, and if I download the program using touchgfx, it is normal.By the way, HAL_Init(); MX_GPIO_Init(); //MX_I2C3_Init(); MX_SPI5_Init();MX_FMC_Init(); MX_LTDC_Init(); MX_DMA2D_Init();....If you remove only the touch function (//MX_I2C3_Init();) and run the initialization,Interrupt function (stm32f4xx_it.c)void MemManage_Handler(void){ while (1) { }}/* USER CODE BEGIN W1_MemoryManagement_IRQn 0 */It's not coming out of the while statementIt is normal to use. Please give me some solution.
Hi, I am looking into processor based ways to flip the display, using a STM32L4R9. My display can handle horizontal pixel flip, but unfortunately not vertical so I want to see if I can do that without too much overhead in the processor.@Martin KJELDSEN had an answer on this post a few years ago, where he mentions that the GFXMMU can be used to do the vertical flip by changing the LUT. I tried reversing the order of the GFXMMU_LUT__H entries to reverse the order of the vertical lines in the physical frame buffer. However no flip occurs since TouchGFX writes to the frame buffer through GFXMMU and LTDC then reads from the frame buffer through GFXMMU using the same lookup table.I could see this being done using two instances of GFXMMU, one with the reversed lookup table for LTDC reads. But STM32L4R9 only has one...Any ideas on how this could be done?Thank you,Russell
I've created a list and need to get value from model.hpp and using WeeklyScheduleView objs; drops = objs.getDropDownClicks();to get value. But when it calls it crashes.

i am having a problem trying to add a source code to my project, even though CUBE IDE already added it but the source codes of TOUCH GFX are not receiving, i see people using Makefile to add it but i am having trouble towel when using it.I would be very grateful if you could help me in this matter
Here are the memory assets when I have the project configured for internal flash...and here is how the linker script is configured of course../* Specify the memory areas */MEMORY{ FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08020000, LENGTH = 2048K - 128K DTCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K RAM_D1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x24000000, LENGTH = 512K RAM_D2 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x30000000, LENGTH = 288K RAM_D3 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x38000000, LENGTH = 64K ITCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00000000, LENGTH = 64K EXTFLASH (r) : ORIGIN = 0x90000000, LENGTH = 8M} FontFlashSection : { *(FontFlashSection FontFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALIGN(0x4); } >FLASH TextFlashSection : { *(TextFlashSection TextFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALIGN(0x4); } >FLASH ExtFlashSection
Hello,I use ToucheGFXDesigner 4.21.3 for the first time.I have no problem to design the application for the 2 buttoms Run Simulator and Run Target are not Highlitghted. When, I point these buttoms, it's written : Can't run Simulator and Can't run target. Samething in the menu CodeI probably miss something but what?If somebody coul help ?Best RegardsRobert
I'm currently working on a project using SPI LCD screens, BLE, and timer at the same time. When I wanted to further modify my programme (like simple code of switching GPIO output, or more complicated code of showing letters on the LCD with SPI), the mcu just froze. And when I deleted MX_APPE_Init generated by STM32CubeIDE (which disables bluetooth ofc), everything worked normally again. I can't find any clue to solve this problem, could anyone help?
In an OS free environment, with software running on an H7, one would call MX_TouchGFX_Process() indefinitely in the main so that TouchGFX will do its thing, render the graphics and pop them on the display, all synchronized by the VSYNC interrupt generated by the LTDC. If I understand correctly, that means in a typical 60fps display, MX_TouchGFX_Process() will return immediately most of the time except every 16.66ms where we need the next frame to be rendered. Render time is about 5ms when the frame does not need any update and 25 ms when text and such need to be updated. How does one integrates this in a real-time environment where several tasks need to be run every 1ms, based of a simple timer? My understanding is that every 16.66ms, MX_TouchGFX_Process will be running for up to 25ms and nothing else will be happening during that time, which is not acceptable. If I run my code and put a scope on a digital output that measures how long MX_TouchGFX_Process takes (ie the render time) and a
When creating a Touchgfx project on Touchgfx Designer, the project comes with RTOS by default. One could disable RTOS by opening the .ioc file on CubeMX and unticking FREERTOS. But then it is also required to delete the CMSIS file and other related RTOS file in the project explorer for the project to compile successfully without error. My question is: Is there a way to create touchgfx projects on Touchgfx Designer without RTOS by default?
Hey,I'm trying to add '%' as a wildcard character for a value that will passed through as, for example, 50%, for a battery level in a status bar container.I have the value set up as a single use resource that uses a topology where the wildcard range/characters are set as 0-9/% respectively, and is written via a buffer with sprintf, as follows:Unicode::snprintf(txtBatteryBuffer, TXTBATTERY_SIZE, "%d%%", chargeLevel);txtBattery.invalidate();I believe the % should be appended to my chargeLevel int in the formatting of the string here. Unfortunately I only see the numbers in GUI and no '%' still.Any advice would be much appreciated, perhaps my appending of % is wrong? Thanks,
Has anyone here had experience with adjusting the letter spacing of a font in TouchGFX? Is it possible to do? For example, if the font needs to have 2px of letter spacing per design, how would you achieve that?Thank you,Sasha
Hi everyone,I'm trying to make a simple project consisting of STM32F750Z8T6 (taking instructions from QSPI), a 480x272 display (using LTDC), and a W9812G6KH-6I SDRAM (using FMC).The project consists of a single screen representing an analog and a digital clock. The project seems to work but suddenly a random hardfault occurs and I don't understand why.Can anyone help me figure out what is the cause of the error?Which settings did I set incorrectlyI share the project (Application + Booloader) APPLICATION = https://files.fm/f/n4vjbjycaBOOTLOADER = https://files.fm/f/b625v68z5Best regards
On a STM32F722xx board with no SDRAM, all I have are the 256KB or internal RAM and 512KB FLASH. I implemented PartialFramebuffer and got it working. To reduce the size of the FLASH image, I wanted to implement loading the bitmaps from the SD card.I followed the videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0kFwp0ao6k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWT-BeRwybQ&t=390s and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWT-BeRwybQ as well as the articles at https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/touchgfx-engine-features/caching-bitmaps and https://support.touchgfx.com/4.21/docs/development/scenarios/using-non-memory-mapped-flash to cache my bitmaps and load them from the SD card.I set the cache size to 128KB, which is larger than the most memory-consuming screen's images. The program loads the images (as far as I can tell), but then fails when trying to draw the bitmaps. See the attached image for the call stack.Any ideas what is causing this?Is there an example out there with
hello,-> see previous question : https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00002FEx2TSAT/depending-on-the-stm32f746disco version the lcd- ouch operation of the code generated by touchgfx does not workAs I asked before, I have a problem with the LCD touch not working due to the version problem of the stm32f746-disco board.By the way, in ToughGFX designer, select the stm32f7508-disco with the same PCB appearance, create a project, and write on the stm32f746-disco, and the touch works well.-> touchGFX designer project = stm32f7508-disc->Use target board = stm32f746-disco => operate normallyWill there be any other problems if I use the stm32f7508-disc-based project in touchGFX designer with stm32f746-disco as the target board?Additionally, when will the LCD touch not work depending on the stm32f746-disco version be resolved?
I've created list and create callback to this function :And here u see marked line which changes text color but it's not working
Hi,Is there a way to configure LTDC or touchgfx to use BGR instead of RGB color format, I'm using 24bit LCD interface.
