Solved

Hello,I am currently developing a DSP application on an STM32F439ZI Nucleo board in combination with a Pmod I2S2 audio codec board. So far, basic testing and filtering worked fine until I started to try FFT processing. I isolated the issue in a simple test program (code attached). I am using the CMSIS DSP library for the FFT and IFFT.This is what the code does:Audio sample data is transferred over I2S using DMA in circular mode. The DMA buffer itself is rather small in order to have the TxRxHalfComplete and TxRxComplete ISR called every time after one audio sample from the left and right channel has been received. I need this because I have an FIR filter function that needs to be called for every sample transmitted and received (tested and works, but not used inside the test program). Inside the ISRs the incoming samples are converted from 24 bit signed PCM into float32 and copied into a bigger circular input buffer. As soon as one half of the buffer is filled with data a flag is set.

Dear all,I am using NUCLEO-H745ZIQ for the UART communication.I try to use the UART RX Interrupt to get the data from PC. I set the UART parameters as same as I was use for the STM32F4 which work fine. Currently, I would like to use both of CM4 and CM7, CM4 used UART1 and CM7 used UART3.My problem is the UART Rx interrupt is go to HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback only in the CM7, but for the CM4, it never go to the HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback function. However, for the other interrupts are work find for both CM4 and CM7 such as timer interrupts.Could you please help me, may be I did some miss configuration. Thanks in advance

Hi, I would like to make a serial to usb converter. The problem is that I need to make a usb-to-32 serial port converter.I've seen that there is nothing like this on the market and not even chips that do this. What I came up with, is to use STM32s to create UART-to-USB converters (maybe using 3 or 4 chips to get to 32 uarts). I tried to search on the internet, and I saw that you can create a USB virtual com port with a STM32, but I have some questions:1 - Is it possible to create a "multiple USB virtual com port" with an STM32, then create a USB device that a PC sees as 3 or 4 COM port?2 - Is it possible to use the DMA to directly connect a UART interface to a USB virtual com port, in order not to use the processor to move data.3 - If the first two questions have a positive answer, can I connect 3 or 4 MCU STM32 to a USB hub, can I have problems?

I'm trying to use aci_gatt_update_char_ext but it requires connection handle. But in Custom_STM.c file only have service handle and characteristics handle.Where can I find connection handle and what is typical variable for it?

Hello,i want to build a project using two Arduino boards, which can transfer data (multiple strings or floats) using NFC. I was searching on the internet and found the M24SR64-Y or the ANT7-T-M23SR64 module. I've read on the internet, that it can be used with Arduino using I²C, however I didn't find a lot of existing projects which use this system. I was wondering, if I can use this chip/module to set up a communication, where 2 Arduinos both using the chip/module can transfer data (multiple float. strings, ...) between each other and maybe if there is already i library for this chip I could use. Thank you in advance!

Hi @channelI am using the B-U585-IOT2A board based on STM32U585 and am configuring TZEN and checking some sample programs. i am not able to reset the board either through the push button or through the software code "NVIC_System_Reset()" and when debugging am getting a break error as shown below:The debgug console is returning the error:On searching the community i found that there is some error in the memory configuration of the secure and non secure area. the linker script i have used is the default one that stmcube mx has generated. the option byte i have used is as below:The issue is i can run my program only once(functionality works) but neither am i able to reset or run the program again while debugging again.please assist me in solving the issue.Awaiting support in this regardThanks and RegardsPhilip Jose

I am currently writing code for STM32F107VC CPU, and I want to use ADC, calibrating it first. I have noticed a strange thing in the ST HAL library. The datasheet on page 223 reads "Before starting a calibration, the ADC must have been in power-on state (ADON bit = ‘1’) for at least two ADC clock cycles."However in the firmware for this CPU (stm32f1xx_hal_adc_ex.c) the function HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start first disables the ADC, then waits for 2 ADC clock cycles. It doesn't wait after enabling the ADC again. The comment in the code says "Calibration prerequisite: ADC must be disabled for at least two ADC clock cycles in disable mode before ADC enable". And the code that follows there disables the ADC (clears ADEN bit). Why does the HAL code wait two ADC clock cycles after disabling the ADC, when the datasheet clearly says it should wait after enabling the ADC? Is this intentional for some reason (I checked the errata, but couldn't find anything), or did the author of this functi

Struggling with an issue with the WB55. I'm attempting to see BLE stack debugging through the UART. I've tested the redirect without WPAN being enabled and found the hardware is functional. When I enable WPAN debugging, redirect function is never called.main.cint __io_putchar(int ch); int __io_putchar(int ch) { /* e.g. write a character to the USART1 and Loop until the end of transmission */ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, (uint8_t *)&ch, 1, 0xFFFF); return ch; } Setting up the debugging for WPAN has been done to setup guide:MX_USART1_UART_Init() isn't called in the main() function but called in the DbgOutputInit() function:/* USER CODE BEGIN APPE_Init_1 */ #ifdef DEBUG DbgOutputInit(); #endif /* USER CODE END APPE_Init_1 */I've verified the initialization code is being called:void MX_USART1_UART_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END USART1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END USART1_Init 1 */ huart1.Instance

I am working with a NUCLEO-WB15CC, and it seems that I can't read or write anymore. When I connect via ST-Link in STM32CubeProgrammer (v2.14.0) I just get Error: Data read failed When I try to read registers, I get the same error.I also can't erase the chip: Error: Mass erase operation failed. Please verify flash protection RDP option byte is AA, so that can't be the problem. For write protection, I don't really remember what the default values was, but they are: 0xff, 0x0, 0xff, 0x0,I can still see target information in Programmer but nothing else seems to work, have I bricked the chip? Edit: I noticed I also can't read registers via the CLI, so maybe it's not a bug in STM32CubeProgrammer.This is the command I used: STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe" -c port=SWD -r32 0x08000000 0x4 Which results in Error: failed to read the requested memory content Read protection seems to be disabled:Here are all the option bytes:OPTION BYTES BANK: 0 Read Out

Hello,I would like to connect a TESEO LIV3F to an STM32 MCU that is powered using a 2.4v supply.Im wondering if I can drive TESEO's Vcc_io with a 2.4v supply or if I should use a 3.3v according to the datasheet and put a level shifter between them both. The first option is far the best for me ...Thanks,

I would like know if STM32G0C1VE meets the AEC Q100 qualification for automotive applications.

I am using the AIS2IH and polling the DRDY bit of STATUS to see when a new sample is available .  I am using single data (on demand) mode and ODR bit is set.  The spec sheet says that DRDY returns low after the high part of X,Y or Z has been read, but for me DRDY is remaing high.  Maybe I am setting the mode incorrectly, timing soft reset badly?  Thanks.Code :SPIwriteOneRegister(CS_SENSOR1, CTRL_2, 0x48);  // soft reset// Perform a read to Hi x to reset DRDY :tmp = SPIreadOneRegister(CS_SENSOR1, OUT_X_H);SPIwriteOneRegister(CS_SENSOR1, CTRL_1, 0x20);  // Select Single data modeSPIwriteOneRegister(CS_SENSOR1, CTRL_2, 0x08); // Set Block Data Update to 1 SPIwriteOneRegister(CS_SENSOR1, CTRL_3, 0); // Set SLP_MODE_SEL == 0 to enable active high external trigger lineSPIwriteOneRegister(CS_SENSOR1, CTRL_6, 0x34); // filtering etc

Hi,I have a working sigfox prototype based around a STM32WLE5. The generation of the Sigfox ID and PAC has so far been done by uploading the chip certificate (236 bytes at 0x1FFF3F04) to https://my.st.com/sfxp to get the credentials back. This process looks hard to automate. Is this for development only? For production - what is the recommended solution? Are we supposed to procure credentials ourselves via Sigfox CRA? https://support.sigfox.com/docs/sigfox-credential-cra.Thanks,

I'm trying to develop an STM32WB55-based BLE wireless circuit.I designed a custom STM32WB55 circuit and I found that the circuit consumes ~ 7 mA when 32 MHz clock and BLE fast advertising mode.Unfortunately, my circuit should allow 7 days of continuous operation with a ~100 mAh battery. So, I wonder how to reduce power consumption. So, could you guys suggest anything possible on both the hardware side and the setting and programming side to reduce power consumption?Currently, SMPS is not in use but I'm planning to use it.

Hello,I am using STM32CubeIDE version 1.13.0 together with STM32CubeMX version 6.9.0-RC9 and the STM32F746IGT6 microcontroller.I am trying to use TIM2 as a 4 channel Input capture unit, each channel with it's own independent DMA . For this i have the following DMA Streams available:- DMA1 stream 5 - for TIM2_CH1- DMA1 stream 6 - for TIM2_CH2/CH4- DMA1 stream 1 - for TIM2_UP/CH3- DMA1 stream 7 - for TIM2_UP/CH4 The problem i am having is that if I add the DMA1 stream 7 .... stream 6 & stream 1 can no longer be added due to conflicts. In the generated code i see that both events UP & CH4 get linked to this DMA stream so i am guessing that this is why the MX won't let me add the other 2.  Now my question: - Even though the tool does not allow it since one trigger can be selected for one DMA tream (Channel selection) i think it should be possible to have the following configuration:- DMA1 stream 5 - for TIM2 CC1 - DMA1 stream 6 - fo

Hello!I am looking to do a project with STM32WB5MMGH6TRLooking at the datasheet:"-  Dedicated Arm® Cortex®-M0+ for radio and security tasks-  Dedicated Arm® Cortex®-M4 CPU with FPU and ART (adaptative real-time   accelerator) up to 64 MHz speed- 1-Mbyte Flash memory, 256-Kbyte SRAM "When I create an STM32CubeIDE project with STM32WB5MMGH6TR, I see the correct pins and everything.Just to test the flash memory space, I added a couple of two dimensional arrays until I got error that flash is full. This is the maximum amount of flash that I can load (so about half a Mbyte, not the 1-Mbyte that was said in datasheet. If I add a 128x128 image to the memory too, I get"c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.10.1\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.0.202111181127\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: wb5_compile_test.elf section `.rodata' will not fit in region `FLASH'c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.10.1\stm32cubeide\plugins\

I have a list of Menu items. I'm handling the navigation with buttons. When curser/pointer pointed on a particular menu Item, The existing text should look darker than other items. Example (Sorry about the poor outline :grinning_face_with_sweat:). Seeking Help on: How to make text looks darker on run time ?Thanks in advance,

Is there any way to achieve this desired noise sensitivity using the ADXL3555 accelerometer. Maybe using filter? Appreciate the help.

Hello im creating one of my first stm32 boards and need some help ive watched many tutorials about decoupling capacitors and have referenced what i could from the datasheet could anyone confirm if this decoupling setup would work or if modifications are needed:grinning_face:. I am using a usb-c connector for programming and power with an ams1117 3.3 volt regulator with the appropriate solid tantalum capacitors. For a little more info these are all smd 0603 capacitors and the component marked fb1 is a ferrite bead with a resitance of 120ohms at 100mhz.

I've been working on a project based on the STM32U575 Nucleo board for some months now. I just updated STM32CubeIDE yesterday and I noticed the ThreadX memory pool size option in "Middleware and Software Packs -> THREADX ->Memory Configuration" has shrunk to a max of 201.216K bytes. Previously it was something a little bit larger, can't remember the exact number but at least a few K larger. The application I am writing needs nearly all the available memory on the chip, north of 700K. Since I've started this project, I've been manually updating the definition for the TX_APP_MEM_POOL_SIZE in app_azure_rtos_config.h to something suitably large after making changes in CubeMX and haven't noticed any issues, but I've always wondered why this memory pool size limitation is imposed. The new update and shrinking of the max mem pool size has only served to remind me of this. Can anyone explain exactly why this memory limit is so small in comparison to available ram? I've read the

Hi,I encounter a performance issue on the qt5 application on STM32MP135. I build a simple application with three plaintextedit objects showing temperature with 1s period from ds18b20. Everything compiles well and works, but the refreshing temperature on plaintextedit consumes 80% of the CPU (only refreshing after that go to 10% or less)Maybe someone has a similar problem to my. The same application on STM32MP157 works perfectly response on the screen and consumes only 10 to 20% in peak on CPU load. In my opinion, something is wrong with the compilation optionsI built it like for STM32MP157 without accepting EULA (this model has no graphics on board). bitbake -k st-example-image-qt -c populate_sdk bitbake -k st-example-image-qt  Thanks for any hintsBRMichal
