Solved

Hello,I have a custom board with a 4.2V battery followed by a linear voltage regulator at 3.0V powering a STM32WL33.When battery is inserted sometimes the power up is not clean and the cpu freezes, no code is executed. (the code is just pulling down a GPIO, no other initialization)BOOT pin A10 has a 560 Ohm pull down.Pulling down NRST later doesn’t have any effect. Freeze happens when the VDDIO goes down to 500mV and then rise up again. As you can see in the following images in clean startup the core VCAP voltage rise up from 0 to 1.2V very fast, while in bad case the VCAP voltage follows the VDDIO ramp from 0.5V to 1.2V and the core freeze.BOR is not working!!! NRST is not pulled down.Schematic is as suggested.Any workaround? Thanks!Fabio Good power-up:Green: VDDIO;   Yellow: SMPS output on VFBSD;   Cyan: VCAP;   Purple: NRST Bad power-up:Schematic:

Hi, I’m running the ST BLE Sensor app on an iPhone and when I attempt to change the profile from beginner to expert, it does not take. The result is that many options are grayed out. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a work-around? I don’t have access to an Android device.iPhone 16-Pro iOS 26.62, APP v5.2.6, fp-sns-datalog2 v3.3.0, STEVAL-STWINBX1Thanks, Tony

Hello, I need help with an issue.I work at an IoT sensor startup in Brazil, and we use the IIS3DWB. We are receiving complaints from some customers stating that, after one or two months of use, the accelerometer shows a zero reading on one of the axes (X, Y, or Z). Do you have any suggestions as to what might be causing this?

Current TouchGFX version used: 4.26.0It would save some time if it was possible to lock/unlock all currently selected items in TouchGFX Designer via the right-click context menu: As an additional request it would also be of great use if you could Shift-select a bunch of elements in one go. Currently, you can only use Ctrl+Click to select multiple elements as in the above image. However, it would be useful to also have a Shift+Click for below usecase:

During refactor I sometimes create containers in Designer that should have the same dimensions/location as another existing element. Currently I look at the coordinates/size and copy them by hand, but it would be nice if I could rightclick on the new element (e.g. container) and click “resize/move to ...” and then select another component from the same screen (e.g. a box).

I am working on an industrial embedded control PCB based on the STM32H563VIT6 MCU.We are currently facing significant availability issues for STM32H563VIT6. The part is showing zero immediate stock at major authorized distributors including DigiKey, Mouser, and element14/Farnell, with reported manufacturer lead times extending to several months. Please confirm the current production and supply status of STM32H563VIT6. And also, confirm the expected availability from ST for this specific part number.

Hello,I would like to report a documentation issue in RM0511 Rev6, section 15.9 (LCSC register map, Table 38).The introductory text states:> "The green cells indicate the register is in the VDD12o power domain. This implies those registers are not reset on Deepstop exit."However, in Rev6 the color highlighting is missing from the table — it is not possible to identify which LCSC registers are in the VDD12o power domain. This information is critical for correct Deepstop/low-power mode implementation, as registers in the VDD12o domain retain their values across Deepstop while others do not. **References:**- RM0511 Rev6, section 15.9, Table 38- RM0511 Rev5, section 15.9, Table 39Thank you.

ContextWe are currently using a 3 year old VL53L8CX ULD API version v1.1.0. According to the changelog in the latest ULD API here:ULD API for VL53L8CX version 1.2.0 introduces wrap around filter to limit false positives and an improved rad2perp coefficients which makes corner zones range better. Additionally v1.2.1 adds periodic temperature compensation without stopping and restarting ranging. We are currently facing an issue with a customer where there are missed car detection with VL53L8CX ToF sensor installed in an outdoor setting (in certain situations like in a bright afternoon) and version 1.2.1 might resolve these issues. ProblemThe only available ULD API version on st website is the latest one i.e. 2.0.1. This is a major revision change which increases the porting effort for not a lot of gain from v1.2.1 to v2.0.1 for our specific use case. AskCan you share an older version of ULD API, specifically v1.2.1, to download?

Is the ROM in the STM32F4 a different memory technology than the flash or is it just write protected flash?

Hi, could you please check the colored cell highlighting in RM0511 Rev 6 register map tables? For example, page 304 states "The green cells indicates the register is in the VDD12o power domain" but no green cells are visible. This affects at least Table 38 (LCSC register map, p. 304).RM0511 Rev 5 displays the colors correctly on the equivalent pages. Thanks

at stm32wl33 datasheet there is RX sensitivity topic but i think wrong– RX sensitivity @ 1% BER:◦ -132 dBm @300 bit/s 433 MHz OOK◦ -128 dBm @300 bit/s 868 MHz 2(G)FSK◦ -112 dBm @38.4 bit/s 868 MHz 2(G)FSKit should be kbit/s .

In Section 5.1 of datasheet for VL53L9CX, it says “Refer to the postprocessing technical note (TN1596) for more details of the data formatting, processing, andfilter functions.”But I cant seem to find the TN1596 document. I am looking for information on the distortion correction on the raw depth output.

In RM0490 Rev 6, Reference Manual for the STM32C0, the ADC Software Calibration Process is specified as follows: Software calibration procedure1. Ensure that ADEN = 0, AUTOFF = 0, ADVREGEN = 1, and DMAEN = 0.2. Set ADCAL = 1.3. Wait until ADCAL = 0 (or until EOCAL = 1). This can be handled by interrupt if theinterrupt is enabled by setting the EOCALIE bit in the ADC_IER register.4. The calibration factor minus one can then be read from bits 6:0 of the ADC_DR orADC_CALFACT registers. The resulting calibration factor must be incremented by oneand written back to the ADC_CALFACT register.5. To reduce the noise effect of the calibration factor extraction, the software can makethe average of eight calibration factor values. This step is optional but recommendedfor better accuracy. The averaging procedure is as followsa) Obtain eight incremented calibration factor values (perform eight times step 2 tostep 4).b) Calculate the average of these eight values and round it up to the nearest integer

Hi All,Ok new to SPCSudio and currently using version 6 - have big problems with components  inparticular  PAL.Basically all the tutorial talk about using PAL to flash an LED or toggle a GPIO pin.But version 6 appears not to support this!!!So far everyone is suggesting I move back to SPC5Studio 5.8.1.So far not impressed with version 6 - Even the AI helps gets it wrong ! Currently just want to toggle some GPIO pins before moving on the CAN stuff, Currently using the SPC5884B70E5 device and using a SPC584B-DISP dev board to kick off our development. Hope someone can help

Hey --  We would like to include a minimal version of .clang-tidy in our VS Code STM32 project. We use the STM32Cube clangd extension (through the STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code Extension Pack). From our research it appears support for .clang-tidy is not currently included the STM32 fork of clangd. This request is to include that support.😎  Our expectation is that by adding a .clang-tidy file to the project root and --clang-tidy to the .vscode/settings.json (snippet shown below) we would begin to see output in the “Problems” tab and squiggles in the code base as we edit.~DigitalNomad{root}.vscode/settings.json (Win11)"stm32cube-ide-clangd.arguments": [        "starm-clangd",        "--compile-commands-dir=${workspaceFolder}/build/Debug",        "--clang-tidy", "--enable-config", "--background-index", "--completion-style=detailed", "--header-insertion=never",        "--query-driver=C:/ST/STM32CubeCLT_1.22.0/GNU-tools-for-STM32/bin/arm-none-eabi-gcc.exe"

I already built a project with my custom board and the stspin32g4 which works fine. Now I bought the EVLSERVO1 to evaluate higher power. But after successful code generation and flashing, motor pilot is not working ("Port Open, try to configure the board”) I already tested with another EVLSERVO1 board (because I thought my first one is broken). But second board same behavior.I checked, TX line from STLinkV3 ( 0x 85 FF FF BF) is sent but no answer from EVAL BoardI reduced Baud rate to 9600 because I thought maybe lost data because of high data rate. Maybe somebody can give me a hint. kind regardsPhilipp

Hello,I generated a project using STM32CubeMX2 for Nucleo-C5A3ZG and I imported the project using the 'STM32CubeMX2 Project' option into STM32CubeIDE. I can compile and link the code without any issues however I noticed that there is only one build configuration (debug_GCC_NUCLEO-C5A3ZG for my project). Can STM32CubeMX2 also create a release  build configuration? My second related question what is the best way to add compile flags? I managed to add a -DDEBUG flag to the flags.cmake file and it works fine. Is this the right way to do it? Would project regeneration be troubled by this change? Finally, if I opted in for 'Assert checks on function parameters' and 'Assert checks on module state' in STM32CubeMX2 HAL System Init is there a way to only have this functionality enabled only for a debug build? Thank you,Gil

Hello,I am using:Motor Control Workbench/X-CUBE-MCSDK 6.4.1 STM32G474RETx, 170 MHz EVLDRIVE102BH FOC with three-shunt current sensing A2212 13T, seven pole pairs I cannot find the High-Speed Observer, HSO, option in Motor Control Workbench.HSO is not visible or selectable in Motor Control Workbench. The same result occurs with a one-pole-pair, 24 krpm HKP Y0H0-A11 motor. Could you confirm:Is HSO publicly available in MCSDK 6.4.1? Is EVLDRIVE102BH supported? Which reference board should be selected? Is a particular MCU, motor type, sensing topology, or project type required? Is there a working HSO example project that I can import and run? Where exactly should HSO appear in the Workbench user interface?

Hello,Can the admin please help deleting my account permanently? If you are admin and read this then please do so asap. @changed01

My pc at work reboots itself whenenver I want to search something in a project (Crtl+h searching). I had windows 10 upgraded to windows 11 and that happened in windows 10 and later in windows 11. I formatted the pc and installed windows 11 from scratch. It still happens. And now, whenever I try to compile it reboots the pc too.If I check windows event monitor I usually see error 6008 unexpected event. Also I usually see error 41. Pc is new (about 2 years) and this does not happen with System Workbench, Visual studio or other eclipse ides I have in the same machine. Have you experienced this?

In TouchGFX 4.26.0 image order changes in application.config even if those images don't change. This causes unnecessary changes to show up in git: Feature request is to either preserve the order or to have them always lexicographically sorted.

I trying to follow the UFQFPN48 reference design for a STM32WB55CGUx in KiCAD.The ref design has some pinouts that don’t exist in the associated KiCAD symbol for the chip. The ref design, The KiCAD symbol with as much as I have wired up so far,  So the branch in the orange box for example, in the refence design this should have a branch just above C13 going to VFBSMPS yet in the KiCAD symbol this is missing. also there is no RF0.
