STM32F4 system bootloader: what technology is used Flash or ROM?

Is the ROM in the STM32F4 a different memory technology than the flash or is it just write protected flash?

Meybe they mean the system ROM where USB/UART/etc bootloaders reside.

I think it  probably is mask ROM, but not sure. I can not find any documents about it.

You didn’t answert my 2nd question: The reason behind that question?

It’s a mask ROM. No difference in technology between different STM32 MCUs.

As the others have said, what  “ROM” are you referring to here ?

Also, which particular STM32F4 family member(s) are you looking at? Please give full part number(s).

 

 

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Also is it different technology between devices in this family or why is a full pn needed?

There is no ROM in the datasheet description. Do you mean OTP memory?

I think this is different even from the memory mentioned here
