My pc at work reboots itself whenenver I want to search something in a project (Crtl+h searching). I had windows 10 upgraded to windows 11 and that happened in windows 10 and later in windows 11.

I formatted the pc and installed windows 11 from scratch. It still happens. And now, whenever I try to compile it reboots the pc too.

If I check windows event monitor I usually see error 6008 unexpected event. Also I usually see error 41.

Pc is new (about 2 years) and this does not happen with System Workbench, Visual studio or other eclipse ides I have in the same machine.

Have you experienced this?

You say it happens also at the WIN10 so

it seems it is more a hardware issue.

Somtimes it helps to check the CR2032 (i had a new board with a weak CR2032

and it behave very strange)

Next: Turn off the PC remove the powercord and press the ON switch approx 30 sec.

Open the pc and remove and reinstall the DIMM.

 Run an memorycheck.

What, exactly, do you mean by “reboots the pc” ?

Do you get a Blue Screen ?

What is your PC spec - memory, storage, etc?

You say this is “at work” - so have you got your work IT team to look at it?

In particular, check any anti-virus, security, or other “corporate ware” ...

Are other PCs  “at work” similarly affected?

Have you tried googling those things?

Have you experienced this?

No.

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

My company is not big and usually we do everything ourselves. My IT department is just a guy who knows the same as myself. He only buys the computer.

No blue screen, just power off and on again. Like a power cut.

My specs:

11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz (3.60 GHz)

RAM 32GB

Windows 11 Pro x64 25h2

Hard disk is an SSD.

I have googled about this error but it is very generic. Some places says something about power cuts and power source being not enough but since I have done work with tons of load and there is no problem but stm32cube ide I guess it is related to this tool.

Seems plausible.

@P M - you didn’t answer if this also happens on any other PCs ?

I did what you suggested and, for the time being, it seems to work fine. I will test for a couple of days with some compilations and searches just to check it.

I have never experienced something like this that affected a single app in my pc. Quite strange.

I haven’t run a memory check yet. I will do on friday after finishing some tasks.

Thank you!
