Hi everyone, can you provide information on the highest temperature and ambient pressure the VL53L0X Time of Flight (ToF) ranging sensor can handle without being damaged? Note: this is not during operation of the sensor (operating temperature is given as -20 °C to 70 °C in the datasheet) but during the integration process into a larger system. Thanks in advance and kind regardsPhilip

I want to use the VL53L8CH in histogram mode to distinguish between multiple reflective surfaces. I found a c-driver package in STSW-IMG043, but no useful example how to initialize the sensor and get data out (over I2C).What I'am looking for:1) initialize sensor and start ranging, with some example code to setup the histogram configuration2) get histogram data over I2CIn the mentioned driver software there are a lot of functions, some of them are clear what they do, other are not clear, but I did not found an application in a software layer avbove which bundles these driver functions to a senseful initialization- or read method.

Hi every body.I have a project with stm32h747aii and i use mdk arm. Recently i did it with cubeide and i could debug both cores at the same time and within one window.I wanted to know that if it is possible in mdk arm 5.36 or not? When i enter each core debug i cant switch between cores in debug mode.Id better mention that cube has generated only one mdk arm project that both m7 and m4 are listed within.I think if they were two separate project it would be easy to do as mdk arm has tutorials for that. But i dont see any tutorials for this one.

How can I get a more Classic Forum view, say just the Subject/Title, like an email client, where I can see 50 posts, perhaps 25 to the physical height of the screen? Posting to main "Board" as there isn't a selection for "About Forum" or more appropriate venue. Also no appropriate "Label"

Hello to allIs there an example of Interrupt handling in user space?I need to handle external interrupt's in Qt.thanks for your help

If possible, how can be anti-aliasing disabled/enabled ?

Hi all,I have three STM32WL55 boards and I am following the STM32WL_WS Workshop tutorial. I can programmed one of the boards using SubGHz_Phy_Base_Station.bin and build the sensor SubGHz_Phy_PingPong project for the other two boards using the following \Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Applications\SubGHz_Phy\P2P_Sensor.Both Sensor board works fine and I can edit both the c code header files in the project and program them. However if I edit the SubGHz_Phy_PingPong.ioc file then the project stops to build.Has any one else experience this issue. Many thanks in advance.RegardsOla

xTaskGetTickCount() erroneously skips ahead after every 65536 ticks. So when calculating timing using values returned by xTaskGetTickCount(), there are problems! vTaskDelay() has no problems. The problem is with xTaskGetTickCount()... For example:Code:  TickType_t tickCount1, tickCount2; while (1) { tickCount1 = xTaskGetTickCount(); vTaskDelay(25); tickCount2 = xTaskGetTickCount(); printf("[%ld] %lu ms have passed!\r\n", tickCount2, (tickCount2-tickCount1)); } Output: [64887] 25 ms have passed! [64912] 25 ms have passed! [64937] 25 ms have passed! [64962] 25 ms have passed! [66087] 1125 ms have passed! [66112] 25 ms have passed! [66137] 25 ms have passed! [66162] 25 ms have passed! [66187] 25 ms have passed!  Workaround is to use vTaskDelay() instead:  TickType_t tickCount = 0; while (1) { vTaskDelay(25); tickCount += 25; printf("[%ld] %lu ms have passed!\r\n", xTaskGetTickCount(), tickCount); }  PLATFORM:Microproc

Hello,we are evaluating an energy efficient MCU that owns ethernet and I2S ports. We cannot find a proper evaluation board for STM32F107. The EVK STM3210C-EVAL is obsolet. Is there any available evaluation board for this MCU? Is this MCU not recommended for new development any more? Thanks for reply in advance.Kind regards,Nanjun

Hello, I want to convert the ADC value into voltage. Using internal ADC1 in stm32f429-disc1 boardThe input voltage applied to channel 1 is 300mVAPB2 is 90MHZClock Prescaler is PCLK2 divided by 4Resolution is 12bit(15 clock cycle)Sampling time 3 cycleWhat will be the Vref and how to get to know the voltage? Thank you.

Hi there,I’m trying to compile a project using the STM32H743ZI2 Nucleo board with STM32CUBE Framework with FreeRTOS with PlatformIO.The project can be found here:Zafeer_FreeRTOSFromGroundUp/PlatformIO/17_WorkingWithQueueSets at main · ZafeerAbbasi/Zafeer_FreeRTOSFromGroundUp (github.com)But basically, I’m using an extra script to add flags:Import( “env” )flags = [    "-mcpu=cortex-m7",    "-mfloat-abi=hard",    "-mfpu=fpv5-d16",    "-mthumb",    "-u _printf_float",    "-DDEBUG",    "--specs=nano.specs",    "-march=armv7e-m",    "-std=gnu11",    "-g3"]env.Append(CCFLAGS=flags, LINKFLAGS=flags, ASFLAGS=flags)However I keep getting the following errors:…\Local\Temp\ccTwSuW0.s: Assembler messages:…\Local\Temp\ccTwSuW0.s:330: Error: selected processor does not support vstmdbeq r0!,{s16-s31}' in Thumb mode ...\Local\Temp\ccTwSuW0.s:332: Error: instruction not allowed in IT block -- s

Using a Nucleo-H745ZI, board revision D-01.According to rev. 5 of UM2408 "User Manual STM32H7 Nucleo-144 boards (MB1363)"USART3 is available via ST_Link. Table 12 lists the config for the virtual com port as the default configHowever, my board had SB103 and SB104 already in place (for clarity SB16 and SB17 also on). I have a very basic program to print via the uart (it works fine on an L476RG) and I have configured USART3 on each of the alternate pins in turn. I have also removed SB103 and SB104 as per the table above and still nothing works.I see the virtual com port in the device manager under windows.I can write to the board and run LED blinking programs on the two cores, independently and at the same time.I have spent days on this and have pretty much run out of documented options, can anyone offer other things to try (I have a new board arriving in a couple of days in case this is broken) EDITED: To improve clarity

Hi, Compiling a Project (FSBLA\FSBLA_Sdmmc1) encountered an error，Nothing has been changed

Hi,  I am using an event as an external clock input into the Advanced Control Timer (TIM1) on a STM32G0x series MCU. For my application it will be nice to low pass filter the signal using the internal "Filter Downcounter" in the chip.  I don't understand the internal digital logic of the filter, nor can I find detail on how this Digital Filter works (Flip-Flops, ect...), but here is my theory and hopefully someone can please share more detail or correct me.    Datasheet Diagram  This is the diagram in the datasheet.  Inputs into filter: N(amount of samples) , fdts(counter frequency), ETRP(event signal) I assume, the filter is a type of counter. If there is N consecutive events in the logic signal for 1/f(dts) time. The output logic signal of the filter contains one pulse. After 1/f(dts) time, the filter resets the internal counter. Or if there is no event triggered in the signal, when an event was expected. Hence, it has to be, consecutive positive event t

Hi,How to know the TESEO VIC3DA module work correctly in designed board ?Thank you very much

Hi,I managed to successfully incorporate a webserver into our project with the following details:- STM32H753- Azure RTOS + NetX- 32Mb QSPI NOR flash (8Mb for webserver purpose, 8Mb for File system, some part will be for product use)- provision for SD card What I can do so far:1. Managed to display images from my file system on NOR flash2. Managed to post an encrypted binary file for firmware updates3. Show a basic web page with a select-send firmware file4. Running on HTTP for now (later HTTPS)These are all ok. I am at the point where I want to display web pages. What will be a good direction to achieve rendering web pages with probably 10 tabs (maybe similar to router setup and status)? Not sure if this is the correct forum for this. Apologies if not. I am a beginner in HTML. Rendering on my own is quite tedious because you have to consider member placement relative to screen size, tabs, text properties, etc. - I read about HTML drag-and-drop editors and converting to HTML c

Hello,I am working on a custom board based on STM32MP157A and I am getting all the bits correctly but getting values at reserved bits in USBPHYC version register (Internal) which are supposed to be reserved  as per the reference manual.Below mentioned screenshots contains :1.Register from reference manual:2.Below attached image contains values I am getting when reading the register:  And I am confused on how to move forward with usbphy.I hope someone could help me with the problemThanks&RegardsSrikanth

I want to take readings from one ADC channel continually and use DMA to store them in a circular buffer. I do have working code which does this, see link below. However, the sampling happens more slowly than I expected. My question is about the rate at which samples are stored in memory. The L432KC ADC is spec'd for 5 Msps. According to the "Clock Configuration" tab on my .ioc file in STM32CubeIDE, I have a 32 MHz clock going to the ADC, and my ADC (1 channel only) is set for a 6.5 Cycle sampling time (4.923 Msps raw sample rate), and the ADC is set for 4x oversampling. I calculate that should be 32 MHz / (6.5 x 4) = 1.231 Msps effective sample rate, if there was no overhead needed by the DMA engine per cycle. So, how much overhead is there? I have one DMA channel active. It is for ADC1, mode: Circular,  Data width: half word, Increment Address: Memory only.  In the code, I set a GPIO pin high in HAL_ADC_ConvHalfCpltCallback() and low at HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(), and my

Hi, I am having problems connecting my f429 board (nucleo 144) through ethernet with TCP. I followed several threads that i lost the link to, but here are my settings. and of course the LWIP configuration (everything not shown was left by default)i al turned on LWIP_BROADCAST_PING and LWIP_MULTICAST_PINGIPv6 and HTTPD are disabledand here for the PHY i tried with both, and none worked.also increased the heap sizeIn the code, on the main while(1) function, i have the: MX_LWIP_Process()The problem is that i try to ping the board, and i get timeout, never an answer. Can anyone se any problems or has any idea why?

Hello. Try to start ETH on STM32H733. ETH_DMAMR_SWR setted by HAL in HAL_ETH_Init() but do not reset by device during timeout 500ms and even 2000ms. The same code run over STM32H723 perfect. I am try this https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000003xOGUSA2/stmh7-ethdmamrswr-fails but still no work

I've worked with lots of different MCUs but new to ST.  I'm trying to follow some instructions for how to get setup to develop some C code for the SEEED Lora E5 module; currently trying this: https://github.com/Seeed-Studio/LoRaWan-E5-NodeUnfortunately each time I follow a link to e.g. download CubeIDE, or download STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32WL series(SDK), I get an HTTP 404 Error along withThis my.st.com page can’t be foundNo web page was found for the web address: https://my.st.com/content/my_st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32cube-mcu-mpu-packages/stm32cubewl.license=1608693595598.product=STM32CubeWL.version=1.0.0.html#overviewHTTP ERROR 404 What do I not have properly set up to allow for these downloads? Thank you.

Hi, I have converted an CubeIDE project to CPP so I can get a GLCD library working, the Adafruit GFX library, for my STM32F407-Discovery board. This required I rename some files from .C to .CPP. It all worked fine. Now I want to get the CAN interface working and when I call "MX_CAN1_Init()", I get the following error."main.cpp:672: undefined reference to `HAL_CAN_Init"I admit I'm a complete novice to this type of C and CPP hybrid, and I hope someone has a solution that will fix this.I think an "extern "C"" statement would fix it, but no luck, and I'm not even sure I'm using this statement in the source correctly. Can someone help out here?Thanks.kvresto. BTW: I had the same type of error within the "stm32f4xx_it.c" file, It complained about no reference to "HAL_CAN_IRQHandler(&hcan1)" this was for the CAN interrupt, but when I renamed it with the .CPP extension that went away.

Hello everyone,I'm posting here because I have an issue in my project. We've developed a board with an STM32 processor, and I would like to perform hardware tests on one side (not difficult so far) and, on the other side, be able to execute purely software unit tests without the need to use the board (doing everything on PC).My code uses a structure that encapsulates all the hardware functions in a specific file. I've attempted to use a different compiler from cubeIDE to execute code directly on the PC, as described here:https://michael.kafarowski.com/blog/unit-testing-with-stm32cubeide/It works well for very simple code. I've tried using the cmock tool to simulate my hardware part, but I always encounter inclusion problems.Has anyone successfully achieved abstraction hardware part? Could you provide me with some advices?Thank you, Yvan

Hello ST Community,I'm currently evaluating a project that requires accurate roll and pitch measurements under light to medium acceleration, preferably in quaternions. I initially tried the BNO085 sensor with its integrated sensor fusion processor, but was unhappy with its accuracy and repeatability, falling short of my 0.1 degrees target. To explore ST's offerings, I used a Nucleo-F401RE in conjunction with the IKS01A3. For data visualization, I relied on the Unicleo-GUI to display the Dynamic Inclination data from the board (using the X-CUBE-MEMS1 software package and MotionDI middleware -> DynamicInclinometer example). I tested this setup with both the magnetometer enabled and disabled, aiming to minimize reliance on the mag moving forward. However, I found both configurations delivered similar results, which suggests the magnetometer may not be a deciding factor for the sensor fusion algorithm to correct the shortcomings of the accelerometer and gyro. The measurement accuracy and

Hello,I am trying to configure USB FS Host using FreeRTOS on STM32H750.After connecting a device to the USB I get failure on memcpy(). The problem happens because pxQueue->uxMessagesWaiting gets value while the queue (os_event) has no elements.I believe that I missed anything in the configuration.I didn't find any manual on the USB FS Host using FreeRTOS configuration.Could anybody please point to a manual?
