Solved

Hello,I am quite conversant with STM32F401, 411, L476 etc. I am looking for a tiny 8-pin MCU that will have 1 analog input and 2 or 3  digital outputs. If 8-pin is not available in 20 pin TSSOP package will do.  I request the users to help me with selecting a low-end 32-bit MCU. major requirements are:1. The cost should be small.2. The power consumption is not important and many other features are not required. 3. I was thinking of using something small device such as  STM32G030x6/x8 that comes in SO8N & TSSOP package.4. From a software developer's point of view, it would be nice, if it has got an evaluation board such as Nucleo or Discovery or Bluepill, for fast development. 5. Should be easy to program/flash in mass prduction. 6. I do not wish to use 8-bit or 16-bit MCUs for this application. Thanks to all.

HelloUsing internal adc for sampling the Analog signal of voltage 300mV.The output of ADC on plotting has noise. On increasing the voltage the the waveform gets clearer. What could be the reason and how to overcome it?

Hi,I am trying to flash STM32H563ZI,  (NUCLEO-H563ZI) but I get hard fault errorI will flash to BANK2 that starting address 0x081000000MY CODE;HAL_FLASH_Unlock();erase.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_SECTORS;erase.Banks = FLASH_BANK_2;erase.Sector = 0;erase.NbSectors = 1;if (HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&erase, &sector_error) == HAL_OK){HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_QUADWORD, 0x0810A000, 0x11111111);}HAL_FLASH_Lock();Thanks for your attention

I have added a partition (MY_MEMORY) to my flash to store a static library (littlefs) so that I don't have to include it in the firmware that is updated over the air however the output binary file for the project is very large. I have reviewed this post which describes a similar problem however the given solution has not worked in my case.   /* ****************************************************************************** ** ** File : LinkerScript.ld ** ** Author : STM32CubeIDE ** ** Abstract : Linker script for STM32WB55xG Device ** 1024Kbytes FLASH ** 256Kbytes RAM ** ** Set heap size, stack size and stack location according ** to application requirements. ** ** Set memory bank area and size if external memory is used. ** ** Target : STMicroelectronics STM32 ** ** Distribution: The file is distributed as is without any warranty ** of any kind. ** ***************************************************************************** ** @attention ** ** Copyright (c) 2023 ST

Hi,I am trying to do a memory map with this board W25QXX and it's not working. For some reason even on the original code we can see the function for BSP_QSPI_MemoryMappedMode have a comment (https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/W25QXX_DataFlash_Board). Any idea why?I am using this board, with STM32H743IIT the configuration of my QUADSPI is:

I made a board with H735 . I am using St-link v3 Minie to upload program. My problem is , I can upload 1 time, but not twice. To solve this issue , I boot in mode 1 , erase flash with cube programmer , and then I can upload only 1 time. Error message is "No Target Found" the second time . I suspect something wrong around Jtag/swd pin configuration, I used "device configuration tool" to configure debug pins . I used Jtag 5 pins config as I wired NJTRST . When it works , I see the program download, then verified with success , so , I think that communication between St-Link and MCU is ok . What I am doing wrong ?

Hello I'm developing a TCP client for STM32F4 MCU.I'm using the LWIP sockets api and freeRTOS to do so.This client will both send and receive data when triggered by RTC (every hour or so) and based on an ADC reading.My understanding is both sockets and netconn api's are based on state machine so they need to run in a different thread than MX_LWIP_Init() so after this function is called I am creating a thread that communicates to my server application.I initialise the thread with xTaskCreate(TcpThread, "TCP", 128 * 4, NULL, osPriorityNormal, &tcp_thread_id);In this thread I am creating, connecting writing and closing the socket and checking for errors for each with UART as one should do.After this I delete the thread with vTaskDelete(NULL).I then create the thread again 5s afterwards by calling osDelay(5000).The application seems to run fine but crashes anywhere from 24 to 1100 connections without showing errors over UART.Is there something wrong with my implemen

I am using Nucleo STM32 L432KC board with STM32CubeIDE v1.12.1 and doing very basic DSP operations with data values read via ADC through DMA into a circular buffer. It works, but the math is slower than expected.Below is an example loop in my code. All variables are declared type int except for adc_buffer[] which is uint16_t. HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_3, GPIO_PIN_SET); // GPIO signal flag for (int i = idxStart; i < idxEnd; i++) { x = adc_buffer[i]; sum += x; } HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_3, GPIO_PIN_RESET); // GPIO signal flag // high for 1.05 msec: 1 loop time = 262.5 ns = 21 clocks @ 80 MHzThe for loop in this case is running through 4000 cycles (half of my 8000 element buffer). Based on the GPIO 3 output pulse on my scope, 4000 cycles takes 1.05 ms, therefore one loop cycle is 262.5 nsec, and here the CPU clock is f=80 MHz (t=12.5 ns) so one loop takes 21 clocks. Looks to me like I'm doing only four operations: an increment and conditional branch for the

I am trying to implement TinyUSB in an STM32CubeIDE project. My current problem, where I am quite stuck, is that the compiler can't find functions located in the TinyUSB folder tree. Example: ../Core/Src/main.c:176: undefined reference to `tusb_init' Excerpt from the main.c source file. The header file tusb.h, which has the tusb_init() function prototype, is included. /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #include "bsp/board_api.h" #include "tusb.h" #include "usb_descriptors.h" /* USER CODE END Includes */ // Lots of code... /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ tusb_init(); /* USER CODE END 2 */ tusb.c and tusb.h are both located in ../TinyUSB/srcPath to ../TinyUSB/src is included:Is there something obvious that I have forgotten? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I use a STM32F767 Nucleo-144 board with a STM32F767ZIT6 processor.With CubeIDE I configure SPI1 as I2S1 input and pump the data via DMA2/Stream0  in a short 8x16Bit circular buffer. The clock of the SPI1 is at ~ 3MHz .I set up the HAL_I2S_RxHalfCpltCallback() and  HAL_I2S_RxCpltCallback() routines. In both routines i toggle a GPIO and get a ~23.8kHz square wave.  This all works as exspected. But: The square wave suffers from a big jitter. First, there is a constant jitter in the range of 100ns. Second, sometimes the duty cycle (not the frequency) of the signal changes by ~330ns for some parts of a second. 330ns ist the reciprocal of my 3MHz clock.How can I get rid of the jitter? I tried to slim down HAL_DMA_IRQHandler() to the necessary parts for my use case. That did not affect the jitter. I also changed the NVIC priorities with no effect.How can I get rid of the jitter?THXCheersDetlef

Hi all,I am using a STM32H723ZG Nucleo-144 board. Here I have attached a micro-SD card module. I am sampling from one of the ADCs with 8.33 Msps at 8-bit resolution. I am able to transfer the data to RAM using DMA without any loss. However, I wonder if it is possible to use another DMA to transfer the data directly to the SD card without any or minimal CPU intervention due to this high speed, and to avoid loss? I assume I would need to use a filesystem such as FatFS. Can DMA or MDMA etc. support filesystems with SPI or SDIO/MMC?All replies are appreciated!

Hello community,I cant get the dma working on the stm32g474. What I did till now:- enabled tim15 -> working with interrupts- enabled dma req. on update event- enabled dma and dmamux clocks in rcc- enabled dma int in nvic -> can be triggered through nvic- configured dma channel 1(with transfer complete interrupt)- configured dmamux -> first in unconditional mode -> only programmed sigid register with tim15_ch1 and also tried tim15_trig, but both are not working -> then I tried sync mode, with tim15_ch1 as input, with event generation and dmamuxch0 as trigger input for dmamux generator, not working- enabled dma channel 1I red something about wait cycles from a similar question after enabling rcc peripheral clocks, so I did that aswell.. Did I miss or forget something?

I'm trying to get the connect working from within STM32Cubeprogrammer through a stlink V2 to a STM32F103C8T6.After many, many attempts this still does not work. I keep getting: No STM32 target found. If you....etc.Granted, the ST-LINK V2 device is a clone, which has the latest firmware, and this clone is detected by stm32cubeprogrammer.I am able to flash the stmf103c8t6 using a serial ftdi323 device, so I am assuming the blue pill is ok. I took a new blue pill, connected it to the stlink dongle and inserted it into my laptop. Started up stm32cubeprogrammer, stlink is detected, but connection always fails.I have tried the suggestions other people had (like connect under reset, hold reset button while connecting) but nothing helps.Tried every combination of jumper settings. No relief.Tried everything in Linux and Windows. Same results.I don't know what else I can do.Anyone have any more suggestions, please ?

Hello I am trying to work with Microseconds delay in my codeso follow this very help full post on web POSTand I configure TIMER 3 ( I have also check with all available timer )But unfortunately, it doesn't work for my STM32GO3O MCU /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */void delay(uint16_t delay){__HAL_TIM_SET_COUNTER (&htim3,0);while (__HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim3)<delay);}/* USER CODE END 0 */  while (1)  {    /* USER CODE END WHILE */     /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */  HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_6);  delay(50);  } I don't have any external crystal oscillator attached ..I used pin PA6 to debug the pulse output on the oscilloscope. but PA6 not changing the state. please help how can I able to work with microseconds delay in STM32G030

i want use TIM1 CH1 in input capture using DMA.The DMA is set to peripheral to memory and store the data in a buffer of 100 elements.When the transfer of the 100 data is completed i want generate a TIM1 interrupt. Wich kind of interrupt of TIM1 i have to see and enable?:1) TIM1_BRK_UP_TRG_COM_IRQHandler 2) TIM1_CC_IRQHandleri saw in AN that if DMA is enabled  the CC1IF is set, so i have to see  TIM1_CC_IRQHandler?

Hi, I have a custom board with a stm32mp153.  I was able to get past the trusted bootloader and into optee.  It builds the mmu map and then panics when checking it.  I am able to partially step through building the table and the memory starts to get corrupted but I can't see why.  I also have a 157-ev which works fine when I build for that on the same dev machine.  I am looking for possible clues on where to go from here.

Hi, I encountered a problem while trying to control servo motor(SG90) with my custom STM32G030C8T6 board. Servo is not moving at all and only buzzing quietly. I am supplying servo from 5V, board and servo have same GND. I checked servo power supply with potentiometer and voltage seems good. I designed power supply to be able to work with 3A so it should not be a problem either. At first I thought there was a problem with frequency of generated PWM signal (servo is working with 50Hz) but I cannot see any mistake in calculations. APB freq is set to 16MHz. I've tried many combinations of prescaler and ARR values (16-1 prescaler and 20000-1 ARR for example) none of it worked. I have tried with other servos and every try failed. I would be very grateful if someone has any ideas how to deal with this problem.

I'm having an oddly difficult time seeing how to do something quite simple. In older CubeMX projects, the `Adv_Request` function looked like this: static void Adv_Request(APP_BLE_ConnStatus_t NewStatus) { tBleStatus ret = BLE_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMS; uint16_t Min_Inter, Max_Inter; if (NewStatus == APP_BLE_FAST_ADV) { Min_Inter = AdvIntervalMin; Max_Inter = AdvIntervalMax; } else { Min_Inter = CFG_LP_CONN_ADV_INTERVAL_MIN; Max_Inter = CFG_LP_CONN_ADV_INTERVAL_MAX; } /** * Stop the timer, it will be restarted for a new shot * It does not hurt if the timer was not running */ HW_TS_Stop(BleApplicationContext.Advertising_mgr_timer_Id); if ((NewStatus == APP_BLE_LP_ADV) && ((BleApplicationContext.Device_Connection_Status == APP_BLE_FAST_ADV) || (BleApplicationContext.Device_Connection_Status == APP_BLE_LP_ADV))) { /* Connection in ADVERTISE mode have to stop the current advertising */ ret = aci_gap_set_non_discoverable(); if (ret != BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS)

Hello everyone, I recently came across a subject at the university in which we programmed a discovery board. Normally what we did was configure the peripherals with the CubeMx, then we added some libraries for sensors to the project, and we programmed what we wanted it to do. The thing is that we always copied things already done in other example projects and modified it.I what to learn to program the STM32 from scratch and not depend on files already written by other people. I have knowledge of digital electronics, I know how microcontrollers work in general terms. I know how to program in C and I'm looking at some programming books on ARM CortexM microcontrollers.What books, courses, websites, etc... do you recommend I look at? I would like to not depend on the STM32CubeIDE to be able to program the microcontrollers. I aslo wouldn't like to depend on existing files. I want to programe it from scratch.Thank you very much in advance!

HI,I am trying to get ADC read but the result is only the first read repeatedly even I change the voltage on ADC channel input it remains the same, ADC Innitializationstatic void MX_ADC3_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END ADC3_Init 0 */ ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC3_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END ADC3_Init 1 */ /** Common config*/hadc3.Instance = ADC3;hadc3.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_16B;hadc3.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_DISABLE;hadc3.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV;hadc3.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE;hadc3.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE;hadc3.Init.NbrOfConversion = 1;hadc3.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE;hadc3.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFTWARE_START;hadc3.Init.ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONVEDGE_NONE;hadc3.Init.ConversionDataManagement = ADC_CONVERSIONDATA_DR;hadc3.Init.Overrun = ADC_OVR_DATA_PRESERVED;hadc3.Init.LeftBitShift = ADC_LEFTBITSHIFT_NONE;hadc3.I

I am testing our custom board with stm32mp153a and I have customized the DDR utility so that the uart and pmic work.  I have used the RAM timings from cubemx that kind of work with TF-a.  I have the PLL2 values that also work with TF-a.  I get a DDR Initialization KO.  Looking deeper into it, it dies when trying to turn on the DDR clock.  One thing I noticed is that the code is hard coded to use HSE when this design uses HSI for the DDR clock.  If I change it to HSI the utility gets stuck trying to print anything to UART.

Hello everyone,I hope this message finds you well. I'm currently working on a project based on the STM32U575ZIT6 microcontroller and have successfully read and written to the flash memory with TrustZone disabled. Now, I am looking to enable TrustZone and perform read and write operations within the secure flash memory zone.I was wondering if anyone could provide guidance or share information on how to read and write on the secure flash memory on the STM32U575ZIT6 and if there's a way to determine the address range of the secure flash memory. Any insights or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your assistance!Best regards,

Looking into the available flash space on the chip:For the 1Mbyte variant of the device the total number of bytes should be 1,024,000.  2,000 bytes * 512page = 1,024,000 bytes of flash memory.End of Address Space - Start of address space  = Amount of total space 0x080F FFFF -  0x0800 0000 = 0xF FFFF bytes = 0d1,048,575 bytesAm I incorrectly calculation incorrect ? If not where's the missing 24,575 ? Thanks

Greetings, Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place.  Maybe someone can point to the correct forum for me.Problem: USB HID 04 Joystick intermittently sends incorrect 12-bit analog data.Micro: STM32F103R8T6Details: A 1/2 Hz signal applied to analog inputs that vacillates above below an 8-bit boundary (i.e., 2047 to 2048) I sometimes get a value of 1792 or 2303 decimal sent.  It appears as if the upper 4 bits of the 12-bit word is out of sync with the lower 8 bits and subsequently sends 0x700 instead of 0x800 or 0x8FF instead of 0x7FF.The problem was first discovered using a Microchip 8-Bit microcontroller.  No one could solve the puzzle, se we went with an NXP MK20DX256VLH7 32-bit processor and the problem went away.  NXP has a 1-year lead time, so we switched to ST Micro.  Now the problem has returned with the F103 part.To eliminate the possibility of data corruption of the USB structure we put in a trap just before the call to: USBD_HID_SendRepo
