I'm trying to get multiple timers with interrupts working on an STM32L462 using the provided HAL libraries in CubeIDE 1.14, but every time the chip comes out of reset, it crashes after starting the second timer. Here is the relevant code:  int main(void) { MX_TIM15_Init(); MX_TIM2_Init(); ... HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim2); HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim15); ... } // TIMER Interrupts void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim->Instance == TIM2) { events.HEARTBEAT = 1; } if (htim->Instance == TIM15) { events.DEBOUNCE = 1; } }  I can't this to work. Only when I disable the second interrupt or start the timer without interrupt will the chip start. I tried stepping through and it just gets stuck stepping indefinitely. This other topic seems to indicate it is possible, but I don't know how. Thinking about how the handler is set up, how could htim->Instance be two different values. That's impossible. So after more re

I tried to make an interrupt work with encoder input on timer 1. It does not fire interrupts.Interrupts are activated (the code is reached). Are there simply no interrupts possible, or is it another problem that i have to figure out?

I am rather new to STM32CubeIDE so this may be a dumb question. I have built a project and have it all working fine and SWD debugging via STLink2 is working great. The problem arises when I share the project via git and it gets put in a git repository outside the workspace. Once it is in the git repository I can still edit and build the project but when I go to debug it is a no go. Selecting debug as>STm32 C/C++ Application now does nothing. I expect this is because the files are not actually in the workspace anymore so debug can't find them. I'm guessing there is something I need to do to the debug configuration but I'm not sure what. Either that or I implemented the git repository wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

So, this is a weird one. We're attempting to bring up watchdog timers on both cores of our product. We're not seeing the CM4 WWDG watchdog fire when we intentionally lock the CM4 in a while loop with no refreshes to the watchdog timer. (I haven't tried the CM7 core yet with similar code).I understand that each core has a watchdog timer (well, two, the WWDG and the IWDG). Right now to begin with we are enabling the watchdog on only a single core, the CM4 core, like so:__HAL_RCC_WWDG1_CLK_ENABLE(); /* Clear reset flags in any case */__HAL_RCC_CLEAR_RESET_FLAGS(); /* Enable system wide reset */HAL_RCCEx_WWDGxSysResetConfig(RCC_WWDG1); // These numbers result in a timeout of about 300msg_watchDogHandle.Instance = WWDG1;g_watchDogHandle.Init.Prescaler = WWDG_PRESCALER_128;    g_watchDogHandle.Init.Counter = 0x7F;    g_watchDogHandle.Init.Window = 0x7F;g_watchDogHandle.Init.EWIMode = WWDG_EWI_DISABLE; #ifdef DEBUG//return;#endif HAL_WWDG_Init(&

I am having a nightmare trying to install a nucleo F412ZG (https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-f412zg.html) under windows 11 64bits.It has an onboard ST-Link V2-1.In the device manager it seems to be detected under "Universal Serial Bus Devices / BULK interface".If I click on update the driver and point at my directory "en.stsw-link009", it says no driver is found for this device. If I try "I have a disk" and go into that folder, it finds only stlink_bridge_winusb.inf, stlink_dbg_winusb.inf and stlink_VCP.inf.Under the sub dir amd64 it finds nothing to install."ST-LinkUpgrade.exe" from downloaded "en.stsw-link007-v3-13-4" finds "No ST link device connected, Please connect it and try again"I have it connected and hear the windows sounds when connected on/off, I also have the COM5 appearing/disappearing when connecting/disconnecting.I have tried to "uninstall driver" with "attempt to remove from device" but it keeps coming back as BULK interface, this time under "Other devices"I

HiiI'm interfacing External adc with stm32f429I want to read 16-bit parallel data from ADC and connected16 lines from ADC to GPIOA GPIOA->IDRhow the data is stored in IDR and how to access the input data register continuously for every sample. Thank you.

Currently purchased with the STEVAL-SMARTAG1, it was discovered that the capability collected through the ST25 powers the L0 via EH pin VDD while collecting data from the sensor. I need to collect signals by thermocouple, which is the same transmission mode as SPI. Can I successfully collect data in this way? Any better suggestions?

Greetings!I'm designing a board using STM32WLE5CCU6 MCU and decided to use a 32-MHz Clipped Sine Wave TCXO instead of a crystal for the HSE32 clock.I have a question regarding the additional circuitry between the TCXO and MCU, is an AC coupling capacitor required? Or perhaps a load capacitor (from OSC_IN pin to GND).The datasheet mentions to add some kind of a capacitor but I'm not sure if it's an AC cap or a load cap - "For TCXO output voltage of 0.8 Vpk-pk, 10 pF can be used."Also what is the input impedance of the OSC_IN pin?My TCXO is specified for a input of 10KΩ in parallel with 10 pF, am I supposed to add those externally?I hope you can help me with these questions.BRDomagoj

Hey,I am a third year embedded electronics student and I am doing NB-IoT as an Bachelor trial. Is it possible to get the STM87M01?

STM32CubeIDE does not give me an options to select PE15 as an external interrupt source. The documentation , RM0438 suggests there are 15 possible external interrupts.  Which is true?

Hello, are we going to see CAN-XL controllers on a STM32 MCU anytime soon, or will ST only feature them in automotive MCUs for the foreseeable future?I would really need CAN-XL on a general purpose MCU for an upcoming project, where CAN-FD bandwidth won't be sufficient. And it would be great to build on an familiar Ecosystem.BestThomas

Hi all,I've a project on STM32CUBEMX and STM32CUBEIDE and I'm going to use the STEVAL-STLKT01V1(https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-stlkt01v1.html ) so I'll have to decide what to choose between X-CUBE-BLE1 or X-CUBE-BLEMGR.Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,I noticed that INT2 is repeated in 2 pins so it confuses to identify which is INT1 and INT2. Please consider change it for future production. Regards,Pascal.

Hi,I'm using H723 for programming, and TCM ram is in use.when compiler optimization feature is on,code can not work.Is it not possible to use TCM while turning on optimization? or requires some setup? Regards,Binge

Hello everyone,I want to use the MT46V64M8P-5B:J 64Mx8 SDRAM by Micron with a STM32F745IET6 microcontroller.I'm configuring the peripheral on stm32IDE and it looks fine, the configurator automatically set PG8 as clock signal. Still, the SDRAM requires differential clock source: Is there any way to configure another uC pin as complementary clock signal? It seems stm32CubeIDE won't let me configure my clock as differential.Thank you very much in advanced.Best regardsNick

For producing 4KHz resonant frequency sound from a buzzer using 32KHz system clock, what should be the Prescaler value and Period(ARR)? Is there any rules for defining these values?

Hello friends, i have the following setup:STM32H725ZGT6 on a selfmade board. STM32 CubeMX (default program with HSI clock and without any other peripherals). Keil µVision 5.23ULINK2 Debugger problem:I can program the controller ("verify successfull" by Keil) several times. The ULINK2 recognizes the controller (see IDCODE in the picture below) but as soon as i restart the power supply of the board (or press "debug" in Keil), the controller hangs and cannot be programmed again. In this state, the IDCODE is also not recognized anymore). What could be the reason for this?I have connected the signals:NRST (Pin27) to +3V3BOOT0 (Pin135) to GNDPDR_ON (Pin142) to GND+3V3 on all VDDs, GND to all GNDs SWDIO (Pin102) to SWDIO (ULINK2)SWCLK (Pin107) to SWCLK (ULINK2)GND to GND (ULINK2)NJTRST (Pin131) to NRST(ULINK2) I think the error must be somewhere in the hardware.I tested the toolchain on a Nucleo Board (STM32H723ZGT6) and all works fine there.

Hi, On STM32MP1, what is voltage threshold for boot pins to be detected as 0 and 1 in digital? Will 0.61V be detected as 0? I research seem under 1.23V will be 0 and start from 1.88 or higher will be detected as 1 (if VDD = 3.3) but I am not sure this is applied for all STM32 or not. Many thanks.

Hello,We are currently in the process of developing a device that contains the STHS34PF80 IR sensor. After study of the datasheet and conducting our own tests, we have found that the sensor reliably detects a person within a 4-meter range. However, for our project requirements, we need an extended detection range of 10 meters. We understand that one way to achieve this goal is to use appropriate lenses to enhance the sensor's capabilities. We would greatly appreciate your recommendations on which lenses would be suitable for extending the range of the STHS34PF80 sensor to meet our specific needs.

I have to examples of a PCB with a H735. On one of them HAL_Init for ethernet fails due to the SWR bit of ETH_DMAMR not getting reset by hardware. On the other example of the PCB everything is working fine, running the exact same binary.Usually this seems to indicate an issue with REF_CLK. Unfortunately, REF_CLK is fine in both cases. The reference manual does not got into really more detail about what else could be missing or incorrect. As the exact same binary is working on a different PCB I expect the internals to be configured correctly by software. Hence, I assume an external signal is incorrect or in an incorrect state?Regards,Benedikt Schmidt

Currently, STM32CubeMX 6.8.0, including the one used in CubeIDE, generates an incorrect comparison when using the low layer library (LL) for reset and clock control (RCC) in a project. This happens when you change the peripheral module RCC from HAL to LL in Project Manager > Advanced Settings by clicking on the relevant line and then selecting LL.void SystemClock_Config(void) { LL_FLASH_SetLatency(LL_FLASH_LATENCY_1); while(LL_FLASH_GetLatency()!= LL_FLASH_LATENCY_1) { } LL_PWR_SetRegulVoltageScaling(LL_PWR_REGU_VOLTAGE_SCALE***); while (LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_VOS() == 0) // <-- to be corrected { }Explanation:LL_PWR_SetRegulVoltageScaling() sets bits VOS in PWR_CR1,LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_VOS() checks the corresponding bit VOSF in PWR_SR2:Typically, the return value 0 stands for OK or HAL_OK, so LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_VOS() returns the correct value, but STM32CubeMX inserts the wrong comparison so that the while loop is never exited on OK.Temporary fix until thi

Several questions:1. Dimensions of smallest object that can be detected.2. Maximum Sampling rate (60Hz). Can sampling time be adjusted for multiple sensor array.3. Plan to use multiple sensors. What pattern should I use to place the sensors?4. Can interrupt be generated when object is first detected?5. Any other advice would be appreciated, such as best part to use.

Hi,I have a VL53L8CX Sensor on a Satel-VL53L8 board that I am controlling with a custom microcontrollerboard that has an ESP32-S2 chip. I want the microcontroller to sleep until the sensor triggers the Int Pin, based on a threshold that I configure in advance. My knowledge of configuring thresholds goes as far as the provided example of the VL53L8CX arduino library (here). I havent really found a documentation for configuring interrupts. As far as I understand the Int Pin trigger has to be a falling edge. However I think the sleep method of the ESP does not provide a falling edge trigger for waking up (see). Only triggers on low/high level are allowed.Therefor my question is, if it is possible, to adjust what kind of trigger the Int Pin sends? And where can I find more documentation about thresholds and interrupts of the VL53L8CX? (Sorry, if I overlooked it)

Used sensor: VL53L1XApplication: TOF sensor is on bottom of a liquid filled container to measure the fill level. The light of the TOF-sensor is reflected on:1) Liquid surface (water to air, oil to air)2) Container roof surfaceIs it possible to mask out one of the reflective surfaces by limit the accepted distance for the measurement (or better: time of flight) to an expected range?E.g: The red light in the sketch will have a longer 'travel time' as the magenta light because the time to travel trough the air volume is added. If I could mask the sensor to 'see' only times below/above a given limit, I could mask out one of the reflective surfaces.
