hi Im developing my board using stm32f429ZITx by keeping stm32f429 disc 1 as a reference Im using the entire GPIOG port for parallelly reading the 16-bit data as some of the GPIOG pins are used by DRAM ( i.e U6   IS42S16400J a dram ) is it possible to read?Or is it necessary to keep DRAM?

Hello forum members, I am currently working on a custom PCB based on the STM32U575ZIT6 microcontroller. I've encountered an issue when configuring PLL1 as the clock source – the code generates a hard fault. However, when selecting HSI or HSE as the source, everything works fine. The challenge is that I am unable to achieve the desired 160MHz clock speed without using the PLL. I've observed that in the RCC (Reset and Clock Control) section, when I choose HSE or HSI, the regulator_voltage_scale is set to level 4. Interestingly, manually changing it to levels 3, 2, or 1 results in a hard fault. I would appreciate any insights or suggestions regarding this issue. Has anyone encountered a similar problem with PLL1 configuration on the STM32U575ZIT6, or does anyone have recommendations on resolving hard faults related to clock configuration? Thank you in advance for your assistance. Best regards,

Hello!Im having some problems with STM32F429ZIT about the interrupt handler. My microcontroller is connected on a LCD display by LTCD bus pheripheral and also has a interrupt input pin (PG2 - EXTI2 on falling edge detection border) connected on a external driver. All the hardware connections are ok.The problem is that my EXTI callback is being triggered even if i let PG2 always in low! At this moment my callback funcion has just only this code to test: void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){if( GPIO_Pin == GPIO_PIN_2) HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin);} Note: the LCD display is being controlled by a GUI library from STemWin. I have noted that when i disable the library (remove the init function from my main code), the interrupt handler of EXTI works as expected. But if i enable the LCD, the interrupt handler get triggered randomly. Can someone give me some idea about wich trouble is and a solution?Al the others GPIO Pins 2 are disabled (none of them are also u

I have an STM32WB55 Nucleo Pack and i thought i'd try out the BLE heartbeat monitor example on the MB1355C board, so i opened up the STM32CubeProgrammer, put the power selector to USB STL and could connect ok.I Selected the hex file for the heartbeat monitor example and used the Automatic option to try to write it to the board. It said it finished writing to board N:1, connect board N:2 and hung. So i disconnected the board and plugged it back in and i noticed not much was happening, and i couldn't see the bluetooth device using my phone, so i tried to connect it back to the STM32CubeProgrammer and i noticed it would no longer connect. If i open the cube programmer, and select "Firmware Upgrade" no device appears. However, if i click the button that says "Open in Update Mode" the board resets, device information appears and i can upgrade the firmware. The board still mounts like a drive and i can still drag files into the drive which magically disappear after the board is reset. Can anyo

Hello,I want to make a design with the ADC1283 where DVCC is powered by a 5V buck converter, and AVCC is powered off a 4.5V voltage regulator (that's powered off the buck converter). Is this possible?I can't tell whether DVCC and AVCC are allowed to be significantly different from the datasheet. Not sure if this is the right category in the forum or not; couldn't find one that fit.

Hello everybody, I designed a touch sensor whith the STM32F042 MCU but after a week of constant testing and experimenting still not working. First the problem was that the TSC always get in the too much count error, after I thought that maybe the capacitance of the sensor is too low, so I directly soldered a 33pF capacitor on the sensor. Now it's count value is around 230 but going to hard fault error in the Hal library bytheway the TSC registers have correct values. The sensor itself is far from the ideal on the PCB, it's very close to the MCU and small, but I think it should work, for me it doesn't make sense what I experienced.  I tried all the settings and now I don't know what to try next, please help me whith any suggestions, or anybody who experienced something like this, can tell me the what was the solution?

The MCU is STM32G031J6 on a STM32G0316-DISCO board. The maximum software pin toggling speed I am able to achieve is about 0.7 us.It looks a bit slow for a M0+ running at 48 mhz.Looking at listing file, there is no library overhead (I am using LL).Can someone shed some light on this?

Hi community, I would like to understand if the VL53L5CX is a good choice to develop an application to detect holes and stairs. I decided to study them since I was impressed by these things:The FoV of 45 ° horizontally or vertically; The granularity of the zoning:16 zones (in the case of 4x4 mapping)64 zones (in the case of 8x8 mappatira); The refresh rate is also interesting. Up to 15 Hz in the case of 64 zones and up to 60 Hz in the case of 16.Among the other features that impressed me is the sharpner. Thanks to this feature I could sharpen the division of the zones. Having said that, my idea was to divide the matrix of interest into 2 zones:- Region to detect holes or stairs below the floor level- Region to detect other obstacles above the floor levelI had actually also thought of a third zone to be interposed between the two zones just mentionedThe scenario I had in mind was something like this:  Of course, to choose the sensor I must also understand the requirements t

Hello In my project I want to use timer4 of STM32G474RET6 MCU. I want to generate single pulses with programmable width on CH2-CH4. These output pulses from MCU should be with programmable delay from input pulse connected to CH1. Pulses on CH2-CH4 should be with negative polarity ('0'). Output pulse must have enable/disable option (when disabled the output from the disabled channel should be '1'). Delay of each pulse from input pulse should be in resolution of uSec's (delay can be also 0 -> immediate output at the same time as input signal). Width of the pulses should be also in uSec's resolution. The output pulses from CH2-CH4 should be always single (if enabled) - 1 output pulse after each input pulse. Each pulse from CH2-CH4 should have own independent delay/width/enable/disable values. Input pulse polarity can be changed dynamically during the work from rising (default) to falling edge.I think that the basic configuration should be capture (for CH1) and compare modes (for C

I am trying to flash a new bootloader to a bigtreetech SKR V1.4 on a 3D printer using a ST-Link V2 STM8/32 and the STM32 ST-Link utility softwareWhen connecting the link to the USB, the power light only lights up on the SKR V1.4 motherboard. On teh utility app, when trying  to "connect to target" I get an error saying it cannot connect and if I am trying to connect to an STM32W1xx device I should select "normal" or "Hotplug" but yet when I do this, I get the same error, saying I should use "connect under reset"I have triple checked the connections between the link and the SKR V1.4 motherboard and the wire connections all seem to be correct.I have connected 5 jumper cables: RST, SWDio, gnd, SWClk and 3.3VI assume the following has something to do with the error but still need help.As can be seen in the attached screen capture, the "target" is returning a blank field, which says to me the st-link is not connecting with the 3d printer motherboard. Please assist with a solution if you c

Hi all,I am testing a new dev board I designed to use a 16MHz crystal for the HSE. Been scouring the forums for a few days trying to find potential flaws in my design and/or solutions to no avail. The MCU in question I am working with is the STM32F407ZET6.The oscillator is TSX-3225 16.0000MF18X-AC0.Following the STM32 oscillator design guide, I found the CL1,2 = 8pF, given the oscillator also has a capacitance of 9pF if we take into assumption (per ST guidelines) that stray capacitance of PCB/traces is 5pF. Oscillator is located directly next to MCU so I wouldn't think layout is problematic. I realize the feedback resistance may be a bit high, it's possible I made an error in my calculations from the worksheet--but it's worth noting that probing with an oscilloscope to see if the clock is working, I replaced the resistors with 0Ohm links as a last-ditch effort to no avail.Looking for some design feedback and/or potential help getting crystal to work. Thanks!  &n

Hello,I am using ST25R3916 based X-Nucleo-NFC06A1 with Raspberry-Pi to read data from ST24DC64KC tag (which is custom board) using FTM. I am able to read the message using  rfalST25xVPollerReadMessage(), But only if length is below 128. If I am trying to read message with length more than 128, I am getting ERR_RF_COLLISION. I am able to read same message using SR25R3916 Discovery Board. What can I do to read complete FTM Message with length around 250 Bytes?Thank you.

I need to implement formatting of various media like SD cards or USB disks. With FATFS it was brain dead easy, it just worked without asking for the my shoe size and ultimate answer about universe and everything. With FILEX I need to provide just all binary data for the formatted media that I just don't know and don't even know how to get it.Let's say that sectors per clusters are typical values for various FAT systems, but the total number of sectors? Just how should I get it?I'd guess it should be obtainable by the driver, but how? I mean, total number of bytes would be fine, but how do I get it for media like SD cards and USB disks?Number of heads? What? I'd guess 1 for all types of solid state devices.I'm implementing a format function like this:`virtual Status format(Media& media, const char* volumeName, MediaFormat fs = MediaFormat::ExFAT) = 0;`Where fs can be FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 and ExFAT.How to use `fx_media_format()` and `fx_media_exFAT_format()` to just format USB disk and

I need to make a change to the library file usbd_hid.c under the Middlewares/ST/STM32_USB_Device_Library/Class/HID/Src directory. I can do this and it changes the local copy, but regenerating the code overwrites the changes I make to it. I don't want to change the original library file, but I would like to be able to substitute the modified file without the trouble of resaving a modified copy to the above directory every time I regenerate code. Is there a simple way to do this?

Hello everyone,I plan to use an STM32L4R7xx MCU in a project and I want to employ capacitive touch sensors. I've read that the TSC module can assist with this, and I should only design the buttons on the PCB. However, I've also read that water and humidity can cause false detection issues in some applications, and that the best option to avoid problems with moisture and water is to use mutually capacitive touch sensors. So, is it possible to use mutually capacitive touch sensors with STM32L4+ series MCUs like the one I'm going to use?Regards.

Hi All!I am working with a STM32H723ZG. As shown in the pictures below this is the memory layout. However is it possible to increase the size of the RAM_D1 domain by reducing another domain? If yes, which domain/RAM can I take memory from to increase the D1 domain? I would assume it is done in the XXX_RAM.ld file? How much is it possible to increase it?Best regards!

Hello,I bought a NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board. When I plugged it in for the first time, I was able to flash it after two or three attempts (ST-Link was often not recognised). But now the STM32CubeProgrammer does not recognise the ST-Link at all (I have tried more than 20 times with different USB cables). When I plug the board into the PC, I get a virtual COM port "STMicroelectronics STLink Virtual COM Port (COM23)" in the device manager. So the ST-Link seems to communicate. But the programmer still does not recognise it.What could be the reason?

I'm failing to get the indexer working correctly. So far I've tried several solutions regarding paths definition and Eclipse memory sizes allocation. All of them leading to the same error for all the files in my project. I am working on ST25DVXXKC tags with ST25R3916 Reader based application.Issue: While using ST25R3916_v2.8.0_Linux_demo_v1.1 for raspberry pi, I encountered an issue -> "library compilation failed with undefined symbol".Cause : As I am using NFC-V technology, I had disabled other technologies in rfal_platfrom.h. e.g.#define RFAL_FEATURE_NFCA falseHence function related to other technologies were not available. But for "RFAL Card Detection" in rfal_cd.c rfalCdGetDetectCardStatus function, there are no check for technology defines causing library compilation failed.Probable Solutions :1. Add checks for technology according to macros defined e.g.#if RFAL_FEATURE_NFCArfalNfcaPollerInitialize(); /* Initialize for NFC-A */err = rfalFieldOnAndStartGT(); /* Turns the Field On if not already and start GT timer */if( err != RFAL_ERR_NONE ){gCd.lastErr = err;gCd.st = RFAL_CD_ST_ERROR; /* Unable to turn the field On, cannot continue Card Detection */break;}gCd.st = RFAL_CD_ST_NFCA_TECHDET;#elseg

Hello ,I'm trying to figure out how the 1_class library works. In the Emulator tab of the NanoedgeAI Studio software, I can see that the sensor indicates that the input pattern is detected as an outlier (outside the class considered), as shown in the following image: But when embedded on microcontrollers, according to my code the orange LED should be flashing, but it's the green LED. I can't figure it out. Is my code correct? How can I retrieve the function output, which should be 0 for belongs to the class or 1 for outside of the class? Thanks for your help.A part of my code :/*________________1_class_____________________*/neai_state = neai_oneclass_init(knowledge);/* Infinite loop *//* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */while (1){if (drdy) {/* Reset data ready variable */drdy = 0;/* Read watermark flag */iis3dwb_fifo_status_get(&dev_ctx, &fifo_status);if (fifo_status.fifo_th) {num = fifo_status.fifo_level;if (data_left > num) {data_left -= num;}else {num = data_left;data_left = 0

Hello everyone, I am currently trying to use a LSM6DSL (accelerometer and gyroscope) but only the accelerometer works. I am using a NUCLEO-L476RG with a LSM6DSL from a STEVAL-MKI178V2 with the st library : lsm6dsl.c/h and lsm6dsl_reg.c/hAfter the init I get the correct values from the acc but not from the gyro (out of scale values when I am expecting close to 0).So I have implemented the self tests given int he application notes (attached file) p.96-99. The accelerometer passes its test but not the gyroscope, which have deltas over 300K dps. Here is my gyro's self-test : bool pSensorTask_GYRO_SelfTest(void){ bool status = false; LSM6DSL_Axes_t axes_delta = {0}; LSM6DSL_Axes_t axes_withoutSelf = {0}; LSM6DSL_Axes_t axes_withSelf = {0}; LSM6DSL_AxesRaw_t axes_raw = {0}; LSM6DSL_Axes_t mAxesRaw_withoutSelf = {0}; LSM6DSL_Axes_t mAxesRaw_withSelf = {0}; float sensitivity; uint8_t nb_data = 0; uint8_t drdy = 0; LSM6DSL_Write_Reg(&MotionSensor, LSM6DS

Hello,I'm very biginner.By MCSDK6.2, I generated code and tried to spin 3 phases BLDC motor with code" MC_PrgramSpeedRampMotor1(1725, 2000);" and"MC_Startmotor1();"I inserted these code and built and tried to run, but it didn't work. The motor didn't spin, don't move at all. What's the problems ?Also, Cube IDE showed me as below captured photo. What's the reason, is there any problems ? Best Regards,Bryan

In the STM32CubeWB source code collection, I found the BLE_Peripheral_Lite project. This project however is only available for the P-NUCLEO-WB55, but I am working with the NUCLEO-WB15 board.According the Release notes this should be easy:<quote>The provided examples can be tailored to run on any compatible hardware; user simply need to update the BSP drivers for his board, if it has the same hardware functions (LED, LCD display, pushbuttons...etc.). The BSP is based on a modular architecture that allows it to be ported easily to any hardware by just implementing the low level routines.</quote> My question is: How do I update the BSP drivers for my board? BR, Ben

Hi,I am working with STM32G4. I am using Timer1 for the hardware interrupt delay.TImer1 works with APB2 clock -My APB2 clock is 48 MHz.1.I need to generate timer with 50 usec delay. What will be the prescaler and counter period. Can anyone suggest. 2.For testing I tested for 500 msec delay withprescaler=12000-1Counter period =2000=1With above settings led should toggle for(500 msec on time/500 msec off time)but led is toggling with 5 sec delay(2.5 sec on/2.5 sec off). What am I doing wrong? can any one suggest.   HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim1); void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim == &htim1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, user_led); } }   Thanks
