Hi - I am new to CubeIDE and CubeMX. I am following the "Getting started with STM32" tutorial, currently in "Step 2: Blinking LED with STM32CubeMX and HAL" which recommends using this option when generating code: "Copy all used libraries into the project folder".However this option is greyed out / disabled and the second option ("Copy only the necessary library files") is selected by default. Why is the first option not even available ? How can I enable it ?I am using the latest version of CubeIDE (1.7.0) which integrated CubeMX (6.3.0). Installed on macOS Big Sur.

sir we are generated code through touchgfx(stm32f508-dk) , the display part working good as per our requirement ,but when add led toggle code in while condition in that code ,its not working , before while condition we added led on and off for 10 seconds its working .  only code in while condition not executing

Hi, I just bought a few ST-Link v3 minies for a project and have gotten the SWD interface to work flawlessly! But now to my problem! I haven't gotten the COM port to work properly... I have tested to get it to work on 3 different Windows 10 computers to no avail... So to start with I have bridged RX & TX pins on the header CN4 pin 13(VCP_RX) & 14(VCP_TX), and if I connect to the com port which is visible as a generic Windows serial device, no errors are visible from putty and nothing is sent or received on the link when typing...I then tried to install the stsw-link009@2.0.2 booth with the "dpinst_amd64.exe" and one time following the readme, booth times are the com port now discovered as "STMicroelectronics STLink Virtual COM Port" but still the results are the same as when previously tested. I also tested to connect it to a source that is known to produce data, yes I connected rx-tx and tx-rx but still, no data and just to be on the safe side did I also test with rx &amp

Hi,I want to configure the LED7 of stm32mp157f-dk2, in arc/arm/boot/dts folder there are stm32mp157f-dk2.dts and stm32mp157f-dk2.dtb file, I cannot edit .dts file since it appears as an audio file and not the text file.so I edited the stm32mp15xx-dxx.dtsi file, to add PH7 pin of LED7 as belowled {compatible = "gpio-leds";led-blue {label = "heartbeat";gpios = <&gpiod 11 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>;linux,default-trigger = "heartbeat";default-state = "off";};led-orange {label = "None";gpios = <&gpioh 7 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>;linux,default-trigger = "none";default-state = "off";};};How can i get the updated .dtb file.?After getting the updated .dtb file just replacing the .dtb file in board is enough? Kindly help me as i am new to this MPU.

Hello all,Can anyone provide example code - Enhanced secure key storage using stm32u585? Thanks in Advance,Surya S

We are developing an OEM board which is capable of driving bipolar stepper motors from 15 to 80Vdc 10A max, in voltage mode and current control. Our customers should be able to change the supply voltage (Vbus), operating mode (voltage or current), without changing the assembly of the pcb. We use powerSTEP01, and we studied AN4144 “Voltage mode control operation and parameter optimization?, but still have a couple of questions:How can we use voltage compensation (see AN4144, section 1.3) in our application without having to change the resistance values of the divider bridge? Does the current measurement resistors (Rsens) have an influence in voltage mode? Can we leave them for both operating mode?Is there another way to define "Ke"? I use the method described in section 2.1 of AN4144, it works well but for OEM customers of our system it might be difficult to implement. Any suggestion? Is it possible to preset a maximum speed according to VS, I, L, R or Ke? If so, by what

So i was trying to generate pwm on all gpio pins of a stm32F103 for my application. I found followed this guide:https://www.hackster.io/javier-munoz-saez/all-pins-as-pwm-at-the-same-time-baremetal-stm32-1df86f the essence is using the function:         void setSoftPWM(uint16_t pin, uint32_t duty ,uint32_t *softpwmbuffer){ for (uint32_t i = 0; i < lengthSoftPWMbuffer; ++ i) { if(i<duty){//set pin softpwmbuffer[i]&=(uint32_t)~(pin<<16); softpwmbuffer[i]|=(uint32_t)pin; }else{//reset pin softpwmbuffer[i]&=(uint32_t)~(pin); softpwmbuffer[i]|=(uint32_t)pin<<16; } } }          to generate a buffer array of 100 elements which contain the gpio info for the GPIOX_BSRR register depending on the duty cycle. I configure the dma in circular mode and trigger it with a timer update event. I do the initial configuration using CubeMX and then add the following code to start the dma.         H

On a proprietary board based on STM32MP157AAA, code was created on the M4 core for reading 11 analog gates managed in DMA (end of sequence interrupt) of ADC1 and ADC2 in independent mode with conversion start via software executed cyclically. The adc values obtained are then passed to the control loop through the command port implemented on /dev/ttyRPMSG0 to the A7NS core where an application runs. Furthermore, a second virtual port (/dev/ttyRPMSG1) was used to trace the execution of the code on M4. The Start/Stop of the M4 firmware occurs via a script that uses remoteproc linux A7 "Non Secured". Mcu Reference : STM32MP157AAAxFirmware Package : STMCube FW_MP1 V1.5.0Manifest Version : openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-11-17Manifest Content : TF-A 2.4, Linux 5.10.61, U-Boot 2020.10 TF-A Setting ...&etzpc{ secure-status = "okay"; st,decprot = < /*"NS_R S_W" peripherals*/ DECPROT(STM32MP1_ETZPC_DDRCTRL_ID, DECPROT_NS_R_S_W, DECPROT_LOCK) DECPROT(STM32MP1_ETZPC_DDRPHYC_ID, DE

Hi All,I am using a STM32H723ZG Nucleo board. I am using the ADC in 8-bit mode. The clock is set to 96 MHz, and according to the application note it should use 6 cycles to sample and convert which would result in 16 Msps, but it seems to be between 8 and 9 Msps when measure with oscilloscope. (8.33 Msps) Application note. However I want the frequency to be at 8-bits set to exactly 5 Msps. If I would follow the application note:- frequency set to 30 MHz --> 30/6 = 5 However I see there are settings as following:So now I am confused on what settings to configure to get 5 Msps sampling frequency while keeping the CPU clock at 550 MHz. Someone knows the best way to make sure the ADC sampling speed can be precisely configured?Best regards!

Hello,I try to use the NUCLEO-H753ZI in combination with the Motor Control WorkBench 6.2.0.Unfortunately, the bord isn’t supported out of the box now.My experiments to define a new bords runs in several errors. Is there a way to use the STM32H753ZI with the Motor Control WorkBench?Regards

Recently, I am working on a project. I need to use the nrf52832 driver st25r3911b chip to read the card. The current progress is that I can use the st25r3911 driver to initialize, and the initialization has been successful, but it seems that there is no response to the nfcv card. Then I compared the situation of using the development board and found that the st25r3911 did not generate interruption during operation, (When I use the stm32L476 development board to drive the NFC05A1 development board, I can see that the interrupt pin of the NFC05A1 always generates interrupt signals), but I don't know what causes this. Since I have just started this chip, the code used is basically the same as demo's code. What I want to know is, what should I pay attention to when porting the st25r3911b sdk? There is also the reason that may lead to the above problem. I hope someone can give me a solution. Thank you very much.Below is part of the code  void spi_event_handler(nrf_drv_spi_evt_t co

Hi, I developed lsm6dsv driver on Android CHRE framework. In Android CTS test, some items failed, the reason is "LSM6DSV Gyro Standard deviation out of range: stddev=(0.004091, 0.001167, 0.000378) (expected (0.003456, 0.003456, 0.003456))". How to fix this? Thank you~

I want to scan (acquire) data from a vehicle can bus.1. Is it possible to prevent the ACK bit from occurring in CAN communication in the MCU?2. If I set the ID to receive all data, won't an ack occur?

I’m wondering which if these microcontrollers (STM32H7) has the most ADC Channels.I think the maximum is 36 but I want to know the specific model of MCU that this is, if anyone knows please tell me.I would also like to know if this is still a 16bit res.Thank you

Hi guys,so we have a more complex board and I wondered if it is somehow possible to use more than one external loaders with the CubeProgrammer software on the command line.So in general we are capable of writing these loaders and have several already running. For our current board two approaches come to mind but I do not find information on these:Approach 1 - Write two different loadersWe could create two different stldr files for the two different memories we want to address. But is it somehow possible to use both of them on the same command line command with the cubeprogrammer cli? As we are getting one single hex file with all memory addresses out of the build systemApproach 2 - Write one loader addressing both memoriesThis one could be trickier because as far as I know we can only have one StorageInfo struct with a linear memory address range. But do you guys know of something how that could be achieved? Cheers,Patrick

Hi,i have STM32F767BIT6 MCU and microcontroller crashes into Hard Fault during initialisation of LWIP MX_LWIP_Init(); Problem is that in FreeRTOS is calling memcpy in queue.c in function prvCopyDataFromQueue with huge ammount of length.( void ) memcpy( ( void * ) pvBuffer, ( void * ) pxQueue->u.xQueue.pcReadFrom, ( size_t ) pxQueue->uxItemSize );Source(pxQueue->u.xQueue.pcReadFrom) and destination(pvBuffer) address is correct placed inside internal SRAM area but length(pxQueue->uxItemSize) is so huge, that end address is placed out of accessible area. So it goes into HardFault_Handler. When i created the same project in older STM32cubeIDE 1.6 (FW F7 package 1.16.x) it works fine but when i create project with newer STM32cubeIDE (1.10 or 1.12 or 1.14) with FW F7 package 1.17.x it crashes into HardFault_Handler. Best regards,Petr

Hi everyone,I try to impement the LwIP Stack on my NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q Evaluation Board. I want to use the M4 core for the ethernet communication.Unfortunately it results always in a StackOverflowHook if I connet with "Hercules" TCP Client and send a string.I have configured the stack as described under https://github.com/stm32-hotspot/STM32H7-LwIP-Examples/tree/v1.2_ide_v1.9.0/STM32H745_Nucleo_M4_ETH.The adapted LinkerScript "STM32H755ZITX_FLASH.ld" see below. My TCPServer implementation tcpServerRAW.c is from https://controllerstech.com/stm32-ethernet-4-tcp-server/. I attached my .ioc fiile and a video of the Stackoverflow error.Maybe there is a configuration mistake?Thank you. ** File : LinkerScript.ld ... /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08100000, LENGTH = 1024K /* ETH_CODE: split memory to data and ethernet buffers */ RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x10000000, LENGTH = 128K /* ETH_CODE * ETH_RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x10020000, LENGTH = 160K /

I'm trying to get the Activity/Inactivity interrupt generation on the LSM6DSL working. I've implemented the example code in the data sheet below. I'm using an stm32L475.However, this interrupt fires constantly, regardless of either the sleep duration time or the activity threshold. From reading the SLEEP_STATE_IA from the WAKE_UP_SRC register, it also appears to always be the inactivity interrupt firing, not the activity one.In trying to debug this, I also tried implementing the other interrupt generators (Free Fall, Single Tap, etc...). These interrupts also constantly fired, regardless of their configurations. However, when I tried implementing the Data Ready Interrupt, it worked correctly. I even slowed the accelerometer down to 1.6Hz to verify. So what am I doing wrong for interrupt generation? Is my GPIO interrupt line maybe messed up?@Miroslav BATEK  I read through like a thousand of your answers in trying to debug this, so maybe you're the right person to ask :)Example Free F

Was working on an EVAL board stm32G474RE which has FLASH of 512K and RAM of 128K. Everything was working fine on the EVAL board. Now we received the actual hardware which is a stm32g474CBU. Very similar to the EVAL board but the FLASH 128K and RAM of 128K.Very few changes were required for the new micro like the linker file. But started noticing a strange behavior where some of the global variables that were initialized in the code, did not have their values. As in the moment the program is downloaded and I hit the breakpoint in the main function, the values for the global variables are not there and just 0xFFs.It appears that the values of the global variables were not even copied from the flash to the .data section of the memory.text      data    bss       dec      hex59416 11528  26768   97712 17db0Any ideas. As I mentioned before, the code works perfectly on the EVAL board which has pretty much the same micr

Hi, can you tell me what happens to the LDL212 when the input voltage drops below the output voltage+dropout? Does it track the input voltage (minus the dropout voltage)? Or does it drop out? Also, in the datasheet it mentions undervoltage lockout in the features but doesn't explain anywhere how it works. Do you have more info on this feature?

Hello everyone.I'm trying to run my project with external power supply (5V on Vin or E5V) but the problem is that I always have to press the reset button to start the code normally when I connect it, if the board is powered by the USB port the program starts without any problem without pressing the reset button once. What can be happening that generates this behavior?Another separate question I had is if when I put the Jp5 pin to feed with E5V can I have at the same time connected the USB to debug? I would try it but there is little time left to finish the project and if it burns I could not get another one so fast.Thank you very much.

I have a custom design using the STM32G474RBT3 (128kB flash category 3 device) MCU.  In this application, the firmware needs to be updated remotely via the normal communication channels to the board.  In this case, it is Modbus over an RS485 multi-drop network of 76 boards, each with a unique slave address.  When the firmware is to be updated, a special utility can be run on a PC connected to the RS485 network that can be used to update the firmware on all 76 boards in sequence.I'm about ready to dive into the development of the bootloader and am reviewing the flash memory options which are very confusing to me (as a newbie ARM-Cortex M4 user).  Here are some basic firmware specs:1. The bootloader uses about 30kB of space and supports USB or RS485 communication.2. The application firmware requires about 60kB (but it is not completed yet).Currently, I have the option bits set for a single 128kB bank.  It is not completely clear to me if I can write the flash to
