Solved

Hello all,I have done my due diligence looking everywhere for an answer to this as well as trying many different variations of the code I will post below. My issue is my LCD will not display the ADC value from a trimpot any other way. I thought at first maybe I was not giving the ADC_ON enough clock cycles as per the rm. So I added 1, 2, 3, all the way to like 16 asm("NOP")  commands and I tried rearranging all manner of things in the offending portion. The ONLY solution I could figure out was using the following twice:ADC1-> CR2 |= ADC_CR2_CAL;ADC1-> CR2 |= ADC_CR2_CAL; -or, similarly- ONCE in the multiple bitwise operation and ONCE a few lines below: // ENSURE ADC IS ON for CAL for 2cycles!ADC1 -> CR2 |= (ADC_CR2_ADON | ADC_CR2_CONT | ADC_CR2_CAL); //this is = 1 cycle//wait for ADC to turn on!while((ADC1-> CR2 & ADC_CR2_ADON) == 0){} //this is = 2 cycles!//It should be on by nowADC1-> CR2 |= ADC_CR2_CAL;  FULL CODE: #include "main

I imported the SPC58EC - AEK_POW_BMS63EN_SOC_Estimation_Single application, configured like described in UM3185. (Side note: The Board View may also view that the ISO SPI needs a Powersupply... So I wonder the Generic pins table..shall I do something here or is it just info?)When I connect the BMS63EN to the battery pack, the green LED flashes very shortly, than no further signs of live. When I flash the AEK-MCU_C44MLIT1 nor errors are shown, though only one core is used, I think thats ok? When I restart the MCU the debugger shows its running, LED 1 and 3 are green. When connecting the ISO SPI to the BMS63EN nothing happens while MCU is without power.Turning on Power to the MCU:On the ISO SPI the red, blue and green LED are lit. Nothing on the BMS63EN is lit. ->Closed the debugger (UDE), restarted for safety everything, opened Autodevkit, Window->Show View->other->terminal->terminal. I opened Terminal on both available COM Ports, on bot

I had created a project in STM32CubeIDE for the STM32H563 chip. I was able to flash it through UART1 using STM32CubeProgrammer but the code seems not executing. The code is just to toggle a LED every 500ms   int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_MEMORYMAP_Init(); MX_ICACHE_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ /* USER CODE END 2 */ /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin); HAL_Delay(500); } /* USER CODE END 3 */ } &nbsp

Hello All,I am trying to decide between these two components and looking at the datasheet they seem pretty identical. Are the sensing elements the same? what is the difference between these two families? Also, looking at the ASM330* there are many versions of this product like: ASM330LHB, ASM330LHBG1, ASM330LHH, ASM330LHHX, ASM330LHHXG. What are the differences between these products ? Thanks,

Hi,I was wondering if someone can help me with temperature update on the VL53L4CX.According to UM2931  that describes the temperature update in paragraph 3.5 there is a dedicated function named VL53L4CD_Start_Temperature_Update() and can be used when the ambient temperature have changed by more than 8 degrees Celsius. This guide unfortunately is for the VL53L4CD but I just wanted to know does the same apply to the VL53L4CX? Does the CX has the same functionality to improve ranging accuracy?Thanks,

I am encountering a warning when trying to generate code for both existing and new projects in STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0.  This did not happen in 1.13.x. I get the following warning.  I have been generating the code and it appears to work, but I don't know if anything is incorrect.  To reproduce the warning, I create a new STM32 project for the STM32U5A9J-DK board, choose to initialize all peripherals to defaults, and save the project.  When it attempts to generate the code, I get the warning displayed. I also started encountering this with an existing project (migrated to version 1.14.0) for a NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q board.

Hii all,First of all i am new to bluepill(stm32f103c8) and i want to use both the SPI1 & SPI2 for the same project .BUT i don't know how to use it i am using Arduino ide for code

Hello @John E KVAM ,Table 14 in the datasheet shows power consumption in Autonomous as going as low as 4.5 mW, but is this only the AVDD power? or total device power? Because I do measure low power draw at those levels, but only on the AVDD pin (and those power levels vary with sample rate, per the datasheet). But the IOVDD continues to draw 22 mA at 3.3v in addition to a few mA for the VCSEL on AVDD. I'm pretty sure the device is really in Autonomous because calling vl53l5cx_get_ranging_mode() returns a '3' for Autonomous. But I'm unable to turn off that big power suck on the IOVDD pin. I was hoping this part could be a low-power motion detector, but if I'm stuck with ~100 mW or more then it's not very low power.One issue might be that I'm using threshold detection. Is that what keeps the core digital stuff drawing power? Can I run a low-power Autonomous mode if I don't set thresholds?Another possible issue is that calling vl53l5cx_get_power_mode() returns a comms

Hi,I am using STM32G4 in my project. I need delays in my project multiple places. I am using hardware timer interrupt for delay. I am using TIM1 configured with 50 usec delay. HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim1); HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_IT(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_2); void HAL_TIM_PWM_PulseFinishedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim->Instance == TIM2) { if( flag_50 usec==1){ //read adc; flag_50 usec=0; } if(flag_800usec==1){ //check switch high/low flag_800 usec=0 } } } void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim->Instance == TIM1) { uint16_t varible=0; flag_50 usec=1; variable++; //take one variable to increment timer if(varible==16) flag_800usec==1; } }1.As mentioned I need different  delays in my project. For every pwm pulse rising edge after 50 usec I need to adc value and then after 800 usec I need to check one switch high/low. It should be repeated process. I am planning to use same timer for dela

Hello,I have problems with a Custum board with a STM32H735IGK6 controller. I can flash a firmware once, after that I have no connection to the microcontroller and the software does not want to start.Problem description:BOOT0 = VDD--> Microcontroller is recognized by STM32CubeProgrammer, STM32CubeIDE flashes firmware and then loses contact to the controller. The microcontroller does not start the user program (which was tested successfully on a STM32G431: LED flashing, otherwise no further commands).BOOT0 = GND--> Microcontroller not recognized neither by STM32CubeProgrammer nor by STM32CubeIDE. Exception: Previous Mass Erase with BOOT0 = VDD, disconnect from power supply, BOOT0 = GND, switch power supply on again)I have already applied some solutions from this forum:- Mass Erase with the STM32CubeProgrammer.- ST-Link ISOL replaced by ST-Link- When flashing the option "Shared Programmer" selected- Flash speed loweredFurthermore I have the log file of the STM32CubeIDE:[3.435] spawn

Hello, I'm using a STM32L552CCT6. For firmware update I want to use the dual flash bank functionality of the controller.When switching the flash banks with the option bit SWAP_BANK in register FLASH_OPTR what happens to the program counter? Is he also switched to the now second bank to continue the execution of the firmware?Best regards,Markus

Hi guys. Help solve this problem.I am working with STM32H745 and ThreadX. In my project, an external event generates an interrupt on EXTI10.The tx_event_flags_set() function is executed from the HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback() interrupt handler to start a process that must perform certain actions. According to ThreadX recommendations, custom interrupt handlers from which RTOS functions are called are assigned the smallest interrupts. But when I assign EXTI10 Preemption priority=15, the program is unstable. And when I set Preemption priority=0 everything works fine. What could be the problem?

Hello,I'm trying to read the OTP flash form my application but I get a hardfault.Is there a read protection or something like that? Here is a code snippet:#define FLASH_START_ADDRESS 0x08FFF000 int main(void) { HAL_Init(); uint32_t* flash_data = (uint32_t*)FLASH_START_ADDRESS; uint32_t data = *flash_data;

 ST Link not recognizing STM Cube Programmer? - From screenshot you can see NO ST Link detected in serial number drop down and has no target information. I can (and did) upgrade firmware, On doing so, it's throwing following error( ST-Link device lost when exiting upgrade mode). Still won't connect. Keep getting "UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode" log entry.

What is the actual unit (dBV, dBSPL etc.) for the plot? dB is not relative to Volt or anything.

Hello!I am working with the STM32H747i-Disco board, my aim is to create ethernet connectivity between the board and the PC, as a first step to send a ping from the PC to the STM32H747i-Disco and get a response. My cubeMX version is 6.2.1, the H7 firmware repository is version 1.9.0.first, i have made the nessecery HW modifications to the STM32H747i-Disco board in order to connect the proper ethernet pins to the MCU. (SB8 closed, SB21 open, R87 open, SB17 closed).i have defined a cubemx project according to the instructions in this link: https://community.st.com/s/article/How-to-create-project-for-STM32H7-with-Ethernet-and-LwIP-stack-working . with two exclusions:The ethernet is defined in RMII mode (since MII isnt possible on the STM32H747i-Disco). Clock source is HSI (and not HSE) - but still with 400 MHz for the M7 cortex (the ethernet is connected to the M7). I Also tried defining teh HSE option, it didnt change the outcome.i configured the PC ethernet connection to a static IP (192

1. We want to control an automotive PMSM( 3 Phase) with RPM 9000 ( either sensor or sensorless-based and with FOC) for automotive. Can you guys suggest the best MCU?.We have done some research but we can't figure out the best one with the right clock speed.

Hi,we want to know about AEK-AUD-CD-C1D9031. and Software, Flash tool, Debug tool. required for the AEK-AUD-CD-C1D9031.As of now, for our present projects we are using 1) Cross Core Embedded Studio Development Environment (2.9.0) and 2) IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM (9.30.1).and for Flashing of hex file we are using ' ICE1000 ' and ' IAR I-jet '.can you suggest any thing that we can Reuse from Present Project. or we have to buy set of new things.

Hi, I used this code to change the boot address in the STM32U575 project:FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef OB_Data;/* Unlock Flash Control register and Option Bytes */HAL_FLASH_Unlock();HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock();OB_Data.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_USER | OPTIONBYTE_BOOTADDR;OB_Data.USERType = OB_USER_TZEN | OB_USER_NBOOT0 | OB_USER_NSWBOOT0;OB_Data.USERConfig = OB_TZEN_DISABLE | OB_NBOOT0_RESET | OB_BOOT0_FROM_OB;OB_Data.BootAddrConfig = OB_BOOTADDR_NS1;OB_Data.BootAddr = addr;/* Program Option Bytes */HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&OB_Data);/* Launch Option Bytes Loading */HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch();How to do the same in the STM32G0xx project?

At the moment, I am using the default firmware on the ST25R3911B-DISCO and have been reading and writing to a ST25DV04K tag. I know that the ST25DV04K tag supports a size of a 256-byte buffer, but I am wondering if the ST25R3911B does as well. If it does, what would I need to change in the firmware?

HelloI am new with using STM MCU's (STM32G474RET6) and encounter very strange reset behavior.In my application reset of the MCU can be done in 3 different ways. 1. Hardware reset - by pressing on button.2. Software reset - by executing NVIC_SystemReset() function.3. By swapping from bank 2 to bank 1 in dual bank mode.Currently I have problem only at bank's 2 image (reset of image burned to bank 1 done good in all 3 mentioned ways).Also, the reset problem seems to be somehow depended on firmware (bank 2 image) compilations. Sometimes after compilation (with even minor changes in firmware) it is working fine.  The problem is that after performing reset (by example pressing on button) MCU seems to be stacked or doing something and not enters even a main (while 1) loop where I am toggling indication led for test. I must press again - second time on the reset button in order to release an MCU.'Debug As' function not working - it fails on execute MI command.Any idea what

Hi!I am using the stm32mp157C-DK2 board to communicate via FDCAN and my idea is to use it as normal mode to send and receive CAN messages. For this I have created a program in stm32cubeide and I enable FDCAN1 with the following parameters (125Kb/s): hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1; hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_CLASSIC; hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL; hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = ENABLE; hfdcan1.Init.TransmitPause = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.ProtocolException = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.NominalPrescaler = 8; hfdcan1.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth = 3; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg1 = 20; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg2 = 3; hfdcan1.Init.DataPrescaler = 16; hfdcan1.Init.DataSyncJumpWidth = 6; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg1 = 5; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg2 = 6; hfdcan1.Init.MessageRAMOffset = 0; hfdcan1.Init.StdFiltersNbr = 1; hfdcan1.Init.ExtFiltersNbr = 0; hfdcan1.Init.RxFifo0ElmtsNbr = 1; hfdcan1.Init

Hello,currently, I'm in the production phase of my product which is based on stm32mp153. Unfortunately, I have a huge problem with setting the password for root.First I commented debug-tweks in local.conf.I added  INHERIT += "extrausers" EXTRA_USERS_PARAMS = " \ usermod -p '$5$otifn3fxcID0nu0c$QUDR.mLMbgEgl26XPEX6Rm6ASUB0ab8UFtQHdoEOBt4' root; \ " hashed or not based password but I can't login into root using ssh.Then I discovered that I could still log in through the serial console without providing anything. I found and commented 'serial-getty@.service'line ExecStart=-/sbin/agetty -8 --autologin root -L --keep-baud %I @BAUDRATE@ $TERM to ExecStart=-/sbin/agetty -8 -L --keep-baud %I @BAUDRATE@ $TERM  Additionally, I updated sshd_config file line PermitRootLogin prohibit-password toPermitRootLogin yes  And finally, the result is that I can't log in via serial and ssh.I read some issues from the linkhttps://community.st.com/t5

I'm building up an app on the STM32L4R9-Discovery board that needs a lot of IO: UARTs, USARTs, I2C, SPI,RTC, FatFS on the SD Card and others. I'm pretty new to the STMCubeIDE and C/C++ world so I've build up several test apps that start for the Discovery board based on examples from the HAL library. Now I'm trying to combine my SD card example with my RTC example. They work find separately but when I try to put them together I get a HAL_Timeout error in the RTC_EnterInitMode method in the STM32L4xx_hal_rtc.c file. This happens with the STMCubeIDE and in VisualGDB.HAL_StatusTypeDef RTC_EnterInitMode(RTC_HandleTypeDef *hrtc) { uint32_t tickstart; HAL_StatusTypeDef status = HAL_OK;   /* Check if the Initialization mode is set */ #if defined(STM32L412xx) || defined(STM32L422xx) || defined (STM32L4P5xx) || defined (STM32L4Q5xx) if ((hrtc->Instance->ICSR & RTC_ICSR_INITF) == 0U) { /* Set the Initialization mode */ SET_BIT(hrtc->Instance->ICSR, RTC_ICSR_INIT);
