Hello,i have managed to get the vl53l8cx to run and it returns correct measurements. with the occasional wrong distance. i wanted to take advantage of the "Status" values to throw out bad measurements. however my status prints are always 0.here is my code:  //begin a test measurement int32_t s; uint8_t frequency_hz; vl53l8cx_get_ranging_frequency_hz(&conf, &frequency_hz); uint32_t delay_frequency = 1000 / frequency_hz; VL53L8CX_Start(&pObj, VL53L8CX_MODE_ASYNC_CONTINUOUS); HAL_Delay(delay_frequency); // needs time for one measurement at least! s = VL53L8CX_GetDistance(&pObj, &pResult); // If unsuccessful, log the attempt if (s != 0) { APP_LOG(TS_ON, MDS_VLEVEL, "[ToF] Measurement attempt failed with status %d\n", s); ToF_Disable_Measurement_Circuit(); ToF_Deinit_Measurement_Circuit(); return; } VL53L8CX_Stop(&pObj); uint32_t mm; APP_LOG(TS_ON, MDS_VLEVEL, "[ToF] Distance\n"); for (uint32_t var = 0; var < VL53L8CX_MAX_NB_Z

Hello,I use Atollic True STUDIO as a development environment and usually use it to program the STM32L4.As a test, I uploaded the generated project.hex file to an STM32L4 using the STM32CubeProgrammer. After reading the flash with the STM32CubeProgrammer, I noticed that the same code is not in the flash as by programming with the Atollic True STUDIO.For example: Is that normal? What is extra added by Atollic True STUDIO? Thank you in advanceMartin

Anybody know where I can get the data sheet for MEMS AR products and how can I purchase it?Thank you.

Hello friends at ST,I'm trying to configure the external memory on an STM32H375 board using CubeIDE, but I'm not achieving success.Let me explain how I'm doing it: I enable OCTOSPI2, set it to HyperBus mode, choose port 2, and configure the corresponding pins. Regarding these options, I'm not quite sure which ones to choose: This is my linker file: If I put ">RAM_D1 AT> RAM_D4," the data is not assigned. If I put "RAM_D4," the data is assigned, but when I load it onto the board, it doesn't work.new some helpthank U

Hello,I needed to create some drawed ones elements. My request was the ability to change the color on the fly, the ability to set the day and night mode and possibly change the dimensions.I am sending here the first working version without setting the dimensions. I set the colors globally, but here I put them directly in the container.I'm not changing the dimensions here, a newer version will do that. The way I do it is definitely not the best and I will probably edit it before publication. Now I'm putting it here more for the purpose of getting feedback. Is this way the right way?Is there something I'm doing wrong in the code and should I do it differently?I have created several checkboxes, radiobuttons, buttons, togglebuttons, sleder ...In case I'm not doing it completely wrong, I'll put them here. For jnCircleCheckBoxA:bool checked;setChecked(false);determines the state of the checkbox. bool enabled;setEnabled(true);determines whether the checkbox can be clicked bool selected

Hi.I started a small project using a custom board with STM32G0B0, SPI flash and 3.5 inch ili9488 LCD, communicating via SPI using the TE pin, without RTOS. Everything loads fine and quite fast, but after 5-40 seconds the uC freezes. Especially when changing the screen, using widgets like the scroll wheel, or even updating text/widgets after n ticks with a random value. What I noticed, before I used more than 3 screens and updating the values, nothing happens, even the animation with texture wrapping works. The logo screen containing the black box, image and text loads immediately after the LCD display initializes. Now I need to load the boxand then display the image and text. Any ideas what I should check? Thanks for the help.

Hi, I have a very weird problem. I will narrow it down as much as I can. STM32F767.I have a struct with various variables, total is 30 bytes. But somehow, the sizeof(struct) is 32! typedef struct { uint32_t var1; // 0int16_t var2; // 4int16_t var3; // 6int16_t var4; // 8int16_t var5; // 10uint8_t var6; // 12uint8_t var7; // 13uint16_t var8; // 14int16_t var9; // 16int16_t var10; // 18int16_t var11; // 20int16_t var12; // 22int16_t var13; // 24uint32_t var14; // 26} data_structure; data_structure my_data;memset (msg, 0, 64);sprintf (msg, "Size of my_data: %d\r\n", sizeof(my_data));HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart6, msg, strlen(msg), 100); Returns:Size of my_data: 32 The actual problem (after tests) is that the compiler inserts a "phantom" 16bit variable between var13 and var14 - pushing my uint32_t var14 2 bytes further and causing me issues. I'm sure this is my fault somehow but I don't see anything wrong? Here's how I figured this out - I wrote a small piece

I wan't to add self tests for my project using your STM32-XCUBE-CLASSB library.

Hello,I am trying to figure out what is the version of the LL drivers used in a project. Where can I find this information, is it stated in any header file? I could not find anything so far. Thanks in advance!Andreea

Hi,In AN3433, Appendix B says "The Tag detection calibration process must be performed when the application is initialized".However in case that I don't use tag detector mode, I don't have to process the Tag detection calibration, do it?I want ST25R95's startup time to be as fast as possible. Therefore I want to reduce the Tag detection calibration process. Thanks

How can I measure the sleep current of the chip on the STM32F7508-DK board?

Hello,I am using the system with below kernel version.Linux version 4.4.0-210-generic (buildd@lgw01-amd64-009) (gcc version 5.4.0 20160609 (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.12) ) #242-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 16 09:57:56 UTC 2021 I have installed STM32CubeIDE generic v1.11.0. I have STM32CubeMX with version 6.8.0 installed by default with IDE. The same is mentioned in the release note as well. When I want to upgrade the STM32CubeMX from 6.7.0 to 6.8.1 within the same STM32cubeIDE v1.11.0. Is there a way I can do that? Can anyone please share their thoughts? Since this is very time-critical it would be very helpful if anyone could look into this ASAP. Thank you.Vidhi V.

Hello, I'd like to use GPIO00 ... GPIO04 as outputs to select the used coil from a coil array for power transmitting.  I've seen the i2c addresses of the GPIO's configuration at 0x30 and followed. I'm wondering what address is foreseen to read or write the GPIO data. Have I overseen anythink? Thanks if anyone has an idea!

I have both STM32F1038T6 and STM32F401CC. I have been trying to get a code to run from ram for days now. Im using arduino ide with stm32duino.  i first create a buffer in ram with malloc then  copy the code to the buffer using memcpy. The code is in  byte array inside a  include file. Like for examplememcpy_P(RamAddr, mCode, 2904); void (*functionPtr)(void);functionPtr = (void(*)(void))RamAddr;functionPtr(); RamAddr is a byte pointer. Also the above code is in a method function that is called in Arduinos' loop() The code is copied properly. When functionPtr() is called the Program counter loads the Address of the function (Which is the start of the code) and I can see it when debugging it. However the pc increments normally but nothing happens and if left to run it ends up in WWDG_IRQHandler as pointer by Program counter. The mCode code  just blinks PC13 on and off and was built from Stm32CubeIde. I tried the blink program by

I am using the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 board with the ST25R95 and an Arduino UNO as the development hardware.  I am not using libraries but I can currently read personal data from an ISO14443-A tag.I believe I am on the final leg of my ST25R95 code and trying to implement Tag Detection Calibration.  I am failing to get past the first step of the procedure.  This step sets DacDataH at 0x00 and I should get a response of 0x00, 0x01, 0x02 telling me that it woke up from a tag.  However, I get an empty response from my idle command 0x00, 0x00, 0x00.  My polling routine seems to take longer on this response but it doesn't error out.To start out the Calibration procedure I send:With every byte sent, I get the response of 0x06, so I think the ST25R95 likes the bytes I send.In my code, I boot the ST25R95 by sending the RESET control and the IRQ pulse, then I do an Echo command to check communication, then I retrieve the IDN.  After IDN, I do a 10ms pause and jump into Ta

Hello,  Does anyone have more information on the hardware/software setup regarding Application Note: AN4353. I understand the rough software architecture for how this is supposed to be implemented but I dont see anything pointing to examples or supported toolchains for debugging.  Sorry if this is a novice question, but I am looking for something to use for debugging besides PLS UDE and OpenOCD based StellarLink. Thanks!

Hi,I am working on FreeRTOS, I came to a section where I need to enable CYCNT register of Arm-Cortex. In order to achieve that, I understand I must set DWT_CTRL registers enable bit that is at 0xE0001000 address. All I dont understand is why a define like below (line#1) is used to assign the value of the register to a macro (DWT_CTRL) and modified at line#34 as below?Could you pls point me in the right direction ?#define DWT_CTRL *((volatile uint32_t*)0xE0001000) int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ TaskHandle_t task1_handle; TaskHandle_t task2_handle; BaseType_t status; /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured perip

Hi, i have build up  Normal mode program For CAN on  board (stm32f103c8t6) setup. It is showing that data is transmitting but when I tested on board there no DataCan you tell me what is the problem??

Hi,Why there are no QFN packages for STM32U59 series? Will it be added in the future? Thanks.

In file stm32c0xx_hal_conf_template.h there are duplicated lines at 239 row.#ifdef HAL_UART_MODULE_ENABLED#include "stm32c0xx_hal_uart.h"#endif /* HAL_UART_MODULE_ENABLED */ if you are using Cube MX you can't compile.

Hi everyone I'm trying to use external debugger with my stm32 disc1 board. The problem is if i only connect the stlink and my board i can't debug it, but if I power the board with another usb port i can access it.So my question is why do i have to power the board with external source and how can i power it only using stlink debugger.

I am using STM32H7 and using the M4 core to output GPIO to control peripherals.I share data between the two cores using the share memory protocol. On the M4 core, I have turned off all interrupts and only control GPIO, but when measured, there is still a delay of a few milliseconds => the output is incorrect in timing. And notably, this only happens when I enable DMA from SPI on the M7 core. Can you tell me the reason and provide a solution?

Hi, I want to make an application in which 4 different signals to be produced with different frequencies. I am using timer output compare mode. My board is STM32F407VG-DISC1, so I use on board LEDs as TIM4_Channel1, TIM4_Channel2, TIM4_Channel3 and TIM4_Channel4.I use HAL_TIM_OC_Start_IT API in order to change the value of CCR so that whenever interrupt occurs, the value in register is updated which enables me to control the generated frequency. But this does not work.First of all, 4 LEDs blink at the same rate, no matter what values I provide in the interrupt callback function via __HAL_TIM_SET_COMPARE function. I can control the frequency of the signal generated via the counter clock, under configuration tab of the TIM4 mode and configuration on STM32 Cube IDE.The frequency increases when I lower the prescaler. I have got few questions. Why cant I generate signals with different frequencies ?I suspect that the interrupt callback is never called, is that the case ?I

Hi,I would like to check if STM AEK-POW-BMS63EN board can be used as a first board in the daisy chain with the setup where we have external MCU (for example STMF103RB) and AEK-COM-ISOSPI1?In the datasheet you describe difference between 'Master' and 'Slave' in the following way:and all your AEK-POW-BMS63EN comes with SPEIN pin pull-down via R20: Can you please clarify if the usage of AEK-POW-BMS63EN in the single BMS setup with external MCU is even possible?BR,MaraLo

Hi, I want to conect an external MCU to the STM32F746 DISCO using UART but I dont know how to use another UART other than the one used for communication with the PC.
