Hi,We have now a problem with some boards, H7A3ZI or H743ZI , when switching off :   RTC stops working !RTC is powered on VBAT with a standard CR2032 and was working as it should on about 500 boards since more than a year. Now (some) batteries loosing voltage and we get errors, because RTC no more working.This happend at first at about 2,7V (cell voltage), now even on new boards with 3,0V cells.The problem starts at the moment of power off, when VDD falling (to 2V or so) , the internal switch going to use the VBAT as supply for RTC and backup ram. On affected boards is about 5 ms (!) long the LSE oscillation away, then starting (on VBAT supplied now) again - or no more, showing the error on next startup.Is there anything we can do, to avoid this ? Or is there some "known problem" with the H7 series, when switching to VBAT ?   (In errata i found nothing about this problem.)

Why does ST not provide a spice model for a new opamp. Specifically the TSB182 ?New parts should have a model.No model , not going to be considered  for use.On  another note  ST's website is almost unusable. I get HTTP 408 and 504 errors almost everywhere I go , very frustrating.

I have my OCTOSPI1 as QSPI working - in "indirect mode", now using DMA: it generates a very clean waveform (no gaps between words or bytes as in "polling mode", a smooth waveform).I use also OCTOSPI1 as a "regular SPI transmitter" (acting as SPI Tx). But due to fact that OCTOSPI is NOT a "regular SPI" (it is NOT "full-duplex"): I use SPI3 as a SPI Slave RX:I connect QSPI SCLK with SPI3 SCLK and SPI3 MOSI is QSPI DIO1 (as MISO). Now I have shared pins for QSPI and a regular SPI on the same QSPI pins. I works.I use also SPI3 Rx DMA. It makes the SPI waveform way better (no gaps).The project is here (if you want to see how to use DMA for OCTOSPI as QSPI and SPI3 as Slave Rx for regular SPI):https://github.com/tjaekel/NUCLEO-U5A5JZ-Q_QSPI What I have realized:Callback comes way to earlyBut it is obvious for me.Thevoid HAL_OSPI_TxHalfCpltCallback(OSPI_HandleTypeDef *hospi)comes when the DMA has finished to push Tx words into QSPI FIFO.But it does not mean the transaction has really fin

1. Yesterday I downloaded CubeIDE 1.14.0 for Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.22. Today I installed it and I tried to run it from the graphical app launcher3. It asked me for the workspace's name. I gave it a one. This window was closed4. Nothing happen, really, nothing!5. I tried to re-run it and it asked me for the workspace's name. Then it said there was a workspace active with the same name6. I run it from command line:$ /opt/st/stm32cubeide_1.14.0/stm32cubeide_wayland %F7. It asked me for the workspace's name. Then it said there was a workspace active with the same name8. I opened the app manager and there were 3 open Java instances plus some CubeIDE apps. I killed them all9. I run it from command line (again):$ /opt/st/stm32cubeide_1.14.0/stm32cubeide_wayland %F  10. The IDE finally started. I haven't gone further at this moment. I just want you to know this misbehavior Why this horrible and awkward behavior? It's the lastest release! Same happened with previous releases.&nb

I'm trying to define a region of RAM for storing debug information that can persist following a reset (DEBUG_RAM). I'd like to put variables in a section (.debug_ram) that are stored in the DEBUG_RAM memory such its usage properly displays in the Build Analyzer.When I do this my elf and hex files are a normal size, 1.3MB and 15kB respectively. My bin files, however, are 393MB. Unfortunately the company I work for has standardized on bin files, particularly for their bootloader software.I have attached my modified linker file (renamed STM32F765VITX_FLASH.ld.c so that it can be attached to the forum) and main.c where I locate the debug_ram_test variable in the in the .debug_ram section. When I build the build analyzer window correctly shows that 6.25% of the DEBUG_RAM region is used.If I use a bin-to-hex utility to convert the bin file I see it's almost all data records with all of the data equal to zero, interspersed with Extended Linear Address records outside the range for t

Hi, I wonder if someone can recommend an alternative to STM32H563ZIT6 mcu for minimum 11 Uart peripherals ona single IC. Preferably if the IC is from the STM32F series.NOTE: The above quantity achieved by treating the USART ports as UART using 144 pins STM32H563Thank youSAM

Hi ,I am using an STM32F205 for my project. We were using HSI as the clock source before and found out that HSI will not work very well with high temperatures for UARTs, So we added an External crystal clock (16Mhz) but I am unable to get Comms out of UARTs now (There are some random values coming through uart sometimes). Hi, Could you provide me the MTBF or FIT value of M24C02-FDW6TP.

There's a lot of "information" posts appearing; eg,https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-obtain-and-use-the-stm32-96-bit-uid/ta-p/621443This is all very good & useful but, in the activity listing, they are indistinguishable from user questions:It would be useful if these were clearly differentiated.

I am working with standby mode on the STM32F7508-DK board and measuring the standby current as 900mA. The tools I use in the program consist of LED and RTC for wake-up. What should I do to reduce this current?

As I wrote in the subject, Upgrading STM32CubeMX from version 6.6.1 to 6.7.0 The SDCARD stops working.During mounting :  fr=f_mount(&FatFs,"/",1);  if(fr==FR_OK)  {    ...   .... }returns "FR_NOT_READY"The micro is an STM32F4, I use SDIO in SD 4 bits Wide bus mode and it has always worked fine.RegardsDomenico

Hi, I'd like to use a code from javascript in the STM32F746 DISCO. It's a radar that receives data from an ultrasonic sensor. The code for the radar was made using processing and I want to show it in the STM screen but I got no idea.Here is the code from javascript and a view of the radar.import processing.serial.*; // imports library for serial communication import java.awt.event.KeyEvent; // imports library for reading the data from the serial port import java.io.IOException; Serial myPort; // defines Object Serial // defubes variables String angle=""; String distance=""; String data=""; String noObject; float pixsDistance; int iAngle, iDistance; int index1=0; int index2=0; PFont orcFont; void setup() { size (1200, 700); // ***CHANGE THIS TO YOUR SCREEN RESOLUTION*** smooth(); myPort = new Serial(this,"COM3", 9600); // starts the serial communication myPort.bufferUntil('.'); // reads the data from the serial port up to the character '.'. So actually it reads this: angle,distance. }

Good morning, I have to do a porting from a project developed on STM32F423 to an STM32U5A5The starting project used the wiced sdk, with the supported platform STM32F423.If I understand well, for STM32U5A the wiced sdk is deprecated, and it would be better to use the package Infineon.AIROC-Wi-Fi.Bluetooth-STM32. Is it correct? Is there any application note to help me to do the porting? or to use the infineon package with STM32CubeMx?

Hello, I want to confirm on the Nucleo-H743ZI2 board, that if the HSE bypass mode is still active (can be used) when I power the board by the 3V3_EXT? I checked the manual UM2407, and it said the Debug chip will not work when the board is powered by 3V3_EXT. And I know the HSE bypass clock come from the MCO of the debug chip. So if the debug chip does not work, the HSE bypass clock source will also not be available as MCO does not function, right? Thanks in advance.

PART# STM32H747I-DISCO (Mouser S/O 935751) We have a customer tried the demo program on ST website, ./en.STM32H747I-DISCO_demo/STM32H747I-DISCO_demo"Three example programs based on TouchGFX?STemWin?EmbeddedWizard, open a random folder, use STM32CubeProgrammer write the hex file under Binary, then reset to run.Onserve the screen, around 1s, the screen will blur, touch screen seemed fine. meanwhile if screen abnormal, no reponse if press reset button on board, power off and electrify again, display back to normal, but after a while the screen will show blurry again (the interval time is random). if we touch screen, the flash screen phoenomen will show up earlier."Attached photos for your reference. Could you advise how to solve it?

Hi ST Team,Please suggest an camera part number which i can easily interface with the 32F746GDISCOVERY Board. Kindly share the complete details. Thanks & Regards,

Hi,I am planning to use STM32 bluepill board with Freertos. Hence trying to use Freertos API. I wanted to know how the CUBE IDE makes sure that API call to Freertos doesn't transform into an API call to Linux OS on which CUBE IDE is installed during compilation process.Please guide.with thanks,B.Deepak Kumar

Hey everybody, I am a little bit confused about the GNU Tools for STM32. (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/gnu-tools-for-stm32) You are using this ST gnu tool inside the stm32cube IDE too compile all example applications.But when I build the same example applications with yocto you are using in your example the official arm gnu tools:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mp/blob/mickledore/recipes-extended/m4projects/m4projects.inc https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mp/blob/mickledore/recipes-devtools/gcc-arm-none-eabi/gcc-arm-none-eabi-native_11.bb https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mp/blob/mickledore/recipes-devtools/gcc-arm-none-eabi/gcc-arm-none-eabi_11.inc  Why do you not use the gnu-tools-for-stm32 inside of the yocto build?And what is the main difference between the arm gnu tools and the stm32 gnu tools? Thank you

Hello everyone, I am trying to improve my skills with TouchGFX. I want to add dynamically a custom container at my current screen during runtime. Is there a method to do it without using a container widget? I don't want to put my custom container in current screen and use SetVisible() method (i don't want to waste memory). P.S. Here is what I've done: First of all, I create those  simples Custom Containers with TouchGFX:    Then, I create my screen: The idea is very simple: When User touchclicks "Right Button", the volume custom container will appears in the top right corner (container1). Here is a part of the code:and VolWidget 1 is the first Custom Container (Volume Custom Container).Now, what I have accomplished is that the Custom Container indeed appears in the top right corner but I receive an exception frame:  Anyone can suggest the error's source?
