We have recently received source code from the company that was developing for us. This is our first time using a STM product, so we have some learning to do. We had them build a custom external loader and bootloader in addition to the main application. I have attached an image of the three projects. What is the correct way to build and deploy each project onto a clean board with no code on it?

I build a custom Numpad Container. Iam setting it Visible when a textarea is clicked. And it is the top layer on the Screen. Trying to set other containers on a lower layer not touchable is not working.I can still click the slide menu button und some other buttons on my Background container.Is it a bug?scrollableContainer.setTouchable(false);slideMenuContainer.setTouchable(false);backGroundContainer.setTouchable(false);

Hello, I try to setup a working example of UAC1.0 USB to I2S - stereo 48kHz 16 bits on a stm32F4 discovery card (with CS43L22 CODEC). I try to get the project developed as far as possible on existing code from ST:STM32CubeIDE generated code,The board Drivers/BSP code for the audio part,inpiration from audio stand alone examples from other F4 boards.But this is not working correctly: bit of part of music with cracks and noises. With a Logic Analyser (LA), I looked at the I2S and it is clearly wrong. There are variants, but basically, it stammers. Instead of 0x0000, 0xDE1F, 0x0000, 0xCA... it gives something like 0x0000, 0x0000, 0xDEDE, 0xCACA, 0x0000, 0x0000. Please see attached snaposhots, with buffer content after breakpoint at usbd_audio.c Sync function, and the corresponding Logic Analyser capture. Values correspond between with Dec=> Hex conversion, except the "stammer". I have the record and playback example working, from USB board. I normally use the same BSP and board drivers

Hello,I am using the CubeProgrammerAPI.dll in a C# software and I get this error :CubeprogrammerErrorNoFile = -4, when I use the download function.I don't understand why this file path issue persists. Even after changing the directory, the problem persists without success.Here is my function:string filePath = @"D:\DFU\CodeChanges_18_GasTypeTempComp.hex"; var filePathAdapted = string.IsNullOrEmpty(filePath) ? "" : filePath.Replace(@"\", "/"); uint address = 0x08000000; uint isverify = 1; uint isSkipErase = 0; var password = ""; var download = CubeProgrammerApi.downloadFile(filePathAdapted, address, isSkipErase, isverify, password); if (download != 0) { Console.WriteLine($"Download Error {download}", "No USB DFU available\n"); CubeProgrammerApi.disconnect(); return; }

Hi everyone, I have questions about thread network protocol on STM32WB series mcus.When using open thread protocol in STM32WB series processors, the device can be configured as open thread border router (OTBR).In the same way, STM32WB mcu can be configured as end device.1- Let's configure one of the two stm32wb mcu devices as end device and the other as OTBR. Let's assume that we have an active end device and OTBR. Will these two devices be enough for me to control the end device from the mobile application? Does it need any other device like Leader, Router etc.?2- In this example, Raspberry pi is used as OTBR. Why was STM32WB not used? Does the OTBR device need to be an embedded linux device? https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:STM32WB_OpenThread_Border_Router_Application3- If the STM32WB mcu can be configured as OTBR, what is the number of end devices connected to this border router? Is there a maximum number of end device connections?  I

Hi,I am trying to set up a basic HS USB MSC project on a custom board with an STM32F723.The project is based on these tutorials from ST, the only difference is, that I'm using USB HS and not USB FS.https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/support/learning/stm32-education/stm32-moocs/STM32-USB-training.htmlhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjQqZd1keBo&ab_channel=STMicroelectronicshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us_sTdGGcOQ&t=363s&ab_channel=ControllersTechI'll shortly show the CubeMX setup and the code changes I made (all like in the tutorials) and then I will show what the error Message is on the Host.Project Setup:      Linker Settings:         Minimum Heap Size 0x2000         Minimum Stack Size 0x2000Clock Config USB_HS config USB_Device configThis is are all configuration I made. The rest is set to default when you start a new project with the project wizard. The IOC File is also attached to this p

Hello,I try to build the STM32CubeExpansion_SBSFU_V2.6.2 for STM32H750B-DK. I use STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.14.0  Build: 19471_20231121_1200 (UTC) on Windows 10.I got several environment issues:Building SECoreBin failed for multiple reasons.It needed prepareimage.py at C:\. I copied it there.The prebuild.sh had issues with the "pwd" command that returns nothing.I specified basedir and current_directory with the absolute path values.Everything pass.Finally I got problems when prepareimage.py tries to encrypt the binaries with the command:python /prepareimage.py enc -k ../../../2_Images_SECoreBin/STM32CubeIDE/../Binary/OEM_KEY_COMPANY1_key_AES_CBC.bin -i ../../../2_Images_SECoreBin/STM32CubeIDE/../Binary/iv.bin ../UserApp.bin ..//../Binary/UserApp.sfu  I found that the prepareimage.py uses Python module "keys" that is missing on my build machine.I didn't find a way to install it.I believe that I missed the step to configure the bu

I am using 1.10.0 STM CUBE IDE. Everything was working fine until I unchecked the box to update STLINK firmware. Now it does not work. I later updated the firmware , but still not a thing changed. Hello,Just got a new Nucleo-H563ZI board and I was trying to connect it to PC through the STLINK USB-C port, in order to play with it. I've checked jumper config, and all seems right, but the only thing happening when plugging in is that LD4 RED half is always on and the green half blinks. No other LED is on. If I change JP2 to power from CN13, plugging the same cable in the CN13 powers the board correctly, and the default demo starts running. I'm able to connect a Nucleo-F446RE and a Discovery board succesfully to the same PC port. I did search the forum, but I wasn't able to find some similar situation, so I'm out of ideas :)I wonder if I could power the board with a powerbrick through CN13 and use CN1 then for programming? Thanks and sorry if this was asked before.

Hello,I have an application that uses the TCPM/TCPC architecture, with a STM32U5 acting as the port manager, and the FUSB307B as the port controller. I want to use the USB-PD middleware stack for the policy engine, however, when looking at the available libraries, there is no USBPDTCPM_PD3_FULL_xxxx.a for the Cortex-M33. Are there any compatible TCPM libraries for the STM32U5? I do not want to use the inbuilt USBPD PHY, and only want/need to use the policy engine and port managing capabilities of the USB-PD library.Thanks

While looking at the HAL's RTC code, I noticed that in the IRQ handler for WakeUpTimer, there is no enabling of access to backup domain registers before clearing flag WUTF in RTC register ISR...Should this not be needed?When testing in my own implementation, WUTF flag cannot be cleared unless I first enable access to the backup domain registers.The reference manual (RM0090) does not feel very clear about if this is needed for clearing WUTF.(this is just one of numerous issues I have with the HAL RTC code and the documentation, but I feel that I may need to know more to determine if it's an error in the HAL code)

Hello.I want to integrate ADC with DMA, and calculate the average count of all convertions.I'm using the following code:In adc.c:```if(HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, 10) == HAL_OK) {uint16_t value = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1);USART_Send("%.3f", value);HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1);}```In main.c:```HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint8_t*) AVG_BUF, AVG_BUF_SIZE);``` However HAL_ADC_GetValue() seems to not use DMA.I want it to explicitely use DMA to read.

Hi, I am developing a project with an STM32H7 microcontroller, that has to do with ethernet connectivity. More specifically it is an embedded display that runs freeRTOS v2 code, which is being generated automatically from touchGFX. I used the cubemx in order to enable the ethernet peripheral,  the LwIP to assign a static IP address to my board, and also I set MPU configurations. After that, when I generate my code, I set a section into the linker script file (lwip_sec) and set the DMA descriptors to run in RAM_D2 also with the RX_pool buffer. I manage to succeed to work with the peripheral I can ping my board correctly, although at a random time it generates a precise hardfault error. So I would like to ask a question about linkerscript. Is there any additional process that it needs to be done in linkerscript (for example, change the length of ram or other things, when a new section is being initialized) in order to avoid the hardfault error, or it isn't related the linkerscript w

Hello. I am developing CAN communication protocols using STM32F429.However there is a problem in sending CAN frame data. Here is a picture which I captured in CAN TX using logic analyzer, and as you can see, the series of data is losted after first data.I tested this with publishing 100Hz, this problem occurred once a minute.In normal case, it should be like this. And also I add my code for helping to understanding.  __disable_irq(); motorCANTxMailBox = HAL_CAN_GetTxMailboxesFreeLevel(&hcan1); HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage(&MTRL_CAN, &motorCANTxHeader, &motorCANTxData[0], &motorCANTxMailBox); __enable_irq(); I disabled the non-automatic retransimission and enabled automatic bus-off feature.But I wonder why the retransimission did not occur.

Hi,i was working in stm32g4 series to implement  CORDIC , but i have noticed cordic is taking 6.5 e-05 sec while normal cos/sin function is taking  2.6e-06sec. let me know where I am making mistake.below is code  i have implemented.inline int f32_to_q31( double input ){const float Q_31_MAX_F = 1.0f ;// 0x0.FFFFFFp0F;//const float Q_31_MIN_F = -1.0f;return (int)roundf(scalbnf(fmaxf(fminf(input,Q_31_MAX_F),Q_31_MIN_F),31)); } #define pi 3.14159265359// convert notation integar to 32 bits float#define q31_to_f32(x) ldexp((int32_t)x, -31) //q31 represent no in range -1,1 float cordic_q31_cosf(float x){CORDIC_ConfigTypeDef sConfig;int32_t input_q31 = f32_to_q31(fmod(x,2.0f*pi)/(2.0f*pi))<<1;int32_t output_q31;sConfig.Function = CORDIC_FUNCTION_COSINE;sConfig.Precision = CORDIC_PRECISION_6CYCLES;sConfig.Scale = CORDIC_SCALE_0;sConfig.NbWrite = CORDIC_NBWRITE_1;sConfig.NbRead = CORDIC_NBREAD_1;sConfig.InSize = CORDIC_INSIZE_32BITS;sConfig.OutSize

Hi! I've seen some tutorials on can communication and notice that each of them use different StdId's. I'm using two nucle-l433rc-p boards, do I need a specific StdId or will any number between  0 and 0x7FF suffice?

Hi, I have bought the parts STM8L151F3U6TR. The marking indicated in datasheet is L526. However, marking on component is L536. Anyone can confirm this marking of L536 is correct?

Hi,uC: STM32G051K8U6, IDE: 1.14.1, MX: 6.10.0-RC9I tried to generate some low frequency timeout using the LPTIM1 and the internal LSI time source, but it seems the code generator doesn't take in account the chosen option in the "LPTIM1 Clock Mux" selector. It seems it always choses the first option, whick is PCLK. I confirmed this, generating the code with different options selected and comparing then using WinMerge. Nothing in the code changed. After some searching, I found this function was responsible for initialising the clock source:void HAL_LPTIM_MspInit(LPTIM_HandleTypeDef* hlptim) { RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInit = {0}; if(hlptim->Instance==LPTIM1) { /* USER CODE BEGIN LPTIM1_MspInit 0 */ /* USER CODE END LPTIM1_MspInit 0 */ /** Initializes the peripherals clocks */ PeriphClkInit.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_LPTIM1; if (HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&PeriphClkInit) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /* Peripheral clock enable */

Is there any chance to use both OCTOSPI (as 2xQSPI) with a LQFP100 package? There is a OCTOSPIM_P2_NCS but no OCTOSPIM_P2_CLK and Multiplexed Mode is not possible (only on P/Q-variants). Thanks in advance!

Hi all,i am performing some 400bytes blocks transferts by SPI, at 16Mhz.I have NSS off, so no CS up/down between frames.From some testing, whatever system clock i set, or whatever spi clock i set, there is a fixed 4us time between 2 consecutive frames. This pause is of course very visible and heavy at 20Mhz spi clock, by scope something like:__||||||||_____________||||||||______________|||||||_____Transfer is done by LL_SPI_TransmitData8If any help to reduce this delay between frames, would be very good, or at least to know i cannot reduce it in any way will be helpful too.thanks a lot

Hi,I'm working on download an ".elf" file on MCU without using the CUBE Programmer Application.I need to start the "STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe" from any folder path, other then the default:C:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\binI don't want to move on the work directory the entire "...\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer"  that is 750 MB (in this way it works).I already tried with the only "bin" folder, but it does not work.Anybody know what files and folders are strictly necessary to do this?Thank you.

Hi,When I get the data returned by VL53L4CX, I have two problems.1:About"VL53LX_get_device_results()"The API function "VL53LX_get_device_results()" takes a lot of time. My MCU is 32MHZ and the operation of this function takes me 13ms. Is this time acceptable?2:About"vl53lx_tuningparm_reset_merge_threshold"When the distance of the measured object changes, the data obtained by the L4CX is delayed for a few cycles before the new distance is obtained. There are several cycles of error reporting (ErrorCode: sometimes 7,sometimes 255) or old distance before getting the new data. Looking in the manual, it seems that this can be improved by decreasing the"vl53lx_tuningparm_reset_merge_threshold", but even if I change it to 0, it doesn't change anything, am I using it wrong?Thanks.

Hi,I need help to identify a 512 Kbit serial I²C bus EEPROM from the M24512 series.I have two differents parts which appear identical, apart from one letter at the end of the reference : M24512-WG for the first one and M24512-WP for the second (photos attached).Could some tell me what is the difference beetween the two parts ?Thanks.
