Hi,I am using an STM32F746IE controller and in some of them i don't see proper ST programmed values in address locations of BOOT_ADD0 (0x1FFF 0010) and BOOT_ADD1 (0x1FFF 0018). As per the reference manual i understand the ST programmed values in these locations should be 0xFF7F 0080 (ITCM-FLASH base address) for BOOT_ADD0 and 0xFFBF0040 (system memory bootloader address) for BOOT_ADD1, but in my board i am seeing 0xFFFF on both of these locations (attached image1), due to this i am not able to access the system memory bootloader to flash my application by turning BOOT0 pin high. Is there a reason why this would happen in some of the controllers? These are fairly new controllers and we haven't programmed any user code yet.Image1

Hi I have a scrollable container inside a swipe container and i need to check when the drag is horizontal and when it's vertical so that I can channel the event to the one i want it to handle with, this was discussed and resolved in this post:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-touchgfx-and-gui/swiping-and-scrolling/td-p/238053But I have tried to implement it, changing the variable names but I have the following problemsEven though I have declared the classes in my view.hpp it says that the cpp cant see them, so i was wondering that maybe im doing it wrong, also i have tried to look for the functions in the upwards inheritance of the viewbase class but i couldnt find it, i saw that the classes like container do have it as they come from drawable. the variable dragType is not found either, and this one I couldnt find anywhere, so maybe he created it but im not sure as it looks like a touchgfx variable. This is how i have declared the functions in the view.hpp   cla

hello,Now I'm trying to implement ML library created by NanoEdgeAI Studio to our STM32C0 target board. My anomaly detection ML looks work fine at this time, but I wonder that every time after boot the system I have to learn normal case. For our application, sometimes the system will shutdown while the work flows.I also have tried 'Embedded Knowledge' option, but it's not as well so far.So I want to save knowledge after learning while runtime on Real-target, and then it may work fine while the same work flows. When the work to flow changed, then reset (or re-initialize) knowledge and learn normal case in work-setup procedure.  hmm, sounds good.Is this possible?BR, mxo

Hi, i'm trying to use execution profile kit in threadx. I use STM32H750VBT6 and STM32CubeIDE1.12.0firstly, i use stm32cubemx to generate the code include threadx. I can't find execution profile file in the code. So I get tx_execution_profile.h and tx_execution_profile.c from the rtos threadx in github. And I put them in Middlewares\ST\threadx\common\inc and src.Secondly, I define TX_EXECUTION_PROFILE_ENABLE in tx_user.h, init DWT and use _tx_execution_initialize(). In the end, I try to use _tx_execution_thread_time_get() to get time. Unfortunately, I alway get 0. I debug the project and find that the problem is in tx_thread_schedule.S . It seems that the program did not run under this condition: #if (defined(TX_ENABLE_EXECUTION_CHANGE_NOTIFY) || defined(TX_EXECUTION_PROFILE_ENABLE)) even if I already define TX_EXECUTION_PROFILE_ENABLE in tx_user.h. That makes me confused. because the .S includes tx_user.h .However, I dire

I followed this article by @Khouloud GARSI and was unable to get the function to jump to the bootloader working. The application seems to freeze after I execute the function given in the article and the bootloader doesn't ACK my messages until I reset the MCU with BOOT0 line pulled high (so I know I can talk to the bootloader in principle - I just can't jump to it programmatically). Also, I don't understand the claim in that article that the bootloader starts at address 0x1FF09800 when the documentation says it starts at 0x1FFF0000 (see AN2606). In any case, I tried jumping to 0x1FFF0000 and got a hardfault, so 0x1FFF0000 seems like the wrong address. We're trying to automate the process of firmware updates where we have an external control board talking to the STM32H745 MCU and allowing us to do OTA firmware updates, but the BOOT0 line is not connected to the control board. We built a custom board that we don't want to change, so if we have to toggle the BOOT0 line programmaticall

I have accidentally closed this tab (with X) so it no longer shows in my debug tabs, and can't find where is the setting to re-add it :(I'm using Cube version 1.10.1

There is not information, on how to clear the flag (1 or 0), on register TIMx_SR (x=1,8,20).I believe there were also other registers where it was not mentioned, how to clear them.

Since we have decided to create the prototype, the first requirement is ensuring that the chosen H753-EVL board is functioning properly. However, its GPIOs are already occupied with essential peripherals such as LTDC, FMC-SDRAM, SRAM, NOR flash, USB_FS, USB_HS, and Ethernet. Therefore, we need an additional 25 GPIOs for the thermal printer and its motor. Should we share the SRAM and NOR flash buses with SDRAM for any specific reason? Additionally, is it possible to use a 1024x600 display with the normal DWIN GUI and later switch to TouchGFX?where,we dont' need stlink, audio, expansion and Arduino connector too..is removing sram, norflash and using only qspi and sdram alone can give us gpios?? is that not affect any working of custom board after assembly.

Hello,I configured my FD CAN on NUCLEO STM32H53 with the function as below. I want to have two RX Buffers to receive 2 specific CAN IDs. However, when I checked RX_BUFFER0 with if (HAL_FDCAN_IsRxBufferMessageAvailable(&hfdcan1, FDCAN_RX_BUFFER0) > 0), I do not receive anything in the buffer even though the frames were sending on the bus. But when I checked RX_BUFFER1 withif (HAL_FDCAN_IsRxBufferMessageAvailable(&hfdcan1, FDCAN_RX_BUFFER1) > 0) , I see CAN frame coming in. It looks like only buffer 1 working.Do you know what I am missing here to have two buffers receiving CAN data? Thanks! static void MX_FDCAN1_Init(void) { hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1; hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_FD_NO_BRS; hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL; hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = ENABLE; hfdcan1.Init.TransmitPause = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.ProtocolException = ENABLE;   hfdcan1.Init.NominalPrescaler = 1; hfdcan1.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth = 8; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg1

Dear ST,is it your website down? i cant login to my st account,i want to download the new stmcubeide and install it on my computer.Regards, hendry

Hello dear ST community,   we want to use the STM32F469i as a Dashboard in our Formula Student car but we are having trouble receiving any can data whilst transmitting works just fine. We tried allot allready but nothing has worked for us so far.We are using a PCAN-USB adapter and a TLV7251V CAN-Transeiver for our test setup. We tried to follow the can example for the F469eval board as close as possible (as there is no can example for the f469i-disco) but in normal mode not loopbackmode.  We tried receiving via polling and interrupt without success and we aim to make it work with interrupts. We activated the interrupts for RX0 and RX1 (we also tried using only one of them). We setup the Callback but it doesnt seem to trigger.   Here is some of our code (the rest is just the generated stuff from MX):         void HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback(CAN_HandleTypeDef *hcan) { if (HAL_CAN_GetRxMessage(hcan, CAN_RX_FIFO0, &RxHeader, RxData) != HAL_OK)

Hi,I don't understand why TouchGFX Designer can't show some windows fonts.I download from internet the font called "GoogleSans-Medium.ttf" and I installed on Win11 correctly.OpenOffice and others PC softwares allow to me to use it without any problem.I try to reload TouchGfxDesigner a few times, I reload also Win11 but nothing happens: This font is not avaliable. How can I use it in TouchGfxDesigner?

I'm using a STM32F105 MCU on which I want to use only the CAN 2 Module to communicate. The pins for the CAN1 Module are used for other stuff. Currently I'm setting the init parameters for CAN1 and CAN2 but CAN1 is never startet. On the low level initialisation for CAN1, only the peripheral clock is activated but the GPIO's are not initialized.Somehow it doesn't seem to work. If I'm using a protocol Stack for CANOpen bevor and then initalize the basic CAN protocol afterwards it seems to work. All the CAN1 and CAN2 Registers do have the same values in both cases (starting CAN directly and starting CAN after using the CANOpen stack). Do I really have to start the CAN1 Modul in order to use the CAN2 Modul ? Isn't it enough to just activate the peripheral Clock of CAN1 ?Does anybody have a solution to start only the CAN2 Modul without having to set the GPIO's for the CAN1 modul? Here's my CAN Initialisation: void MX_CAN2_Init(CAN_HandleTypeDef* hcan1, CAN_HandleTypeDef* hcan

Hello,I use STM32F767ZI (on a board NUCLEO-F767ZI) , CubeIDE, HAL driver and I try to communicate with an accelerometer (LIS2DW12 on the board SEN0405) with SPI interface. I'll try to give the more details possible so that you can help me a maximum. To test the communication between my microcontroller and my accelerometer, I try to read the WHO_AM_I register of the LIS2DW12. This register is a read-only register. Its value is fixed at 44h. Unfortunately I can't read this value but I read FFh. First of all, so that you can confirm that I haven't made an error of connection, here's how I connected my accelerometer to my nucleo-board :I just connected the accelerometer to the supply (+3.3V & GND) and the 4 SPI wires. Then, I configured the SPI communication in CUBEMX according to the LIS2DW12 datasheet :  I wrote a simple code to read value of the register WHO_AM_I using the function HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive.  According to the datasheet, to read this register (address 0Fh)

Hello! Can you send me a data package ST Automotive Processors Startup Package 202401 V3?I am using the SPC58 controller! So I really hope to receive such valuable information! Thank you!

RM0455 rev. 3 doesn't mention the OCTOSPI*M* clock enable at all. As OCTOSPIM is on AHB, this bit should be in one of RCC_AHB1ENR, ..., RCC_AHB4ENR registers. On the other hand, there is a mysterious IOMNGREN bit in RCC_AHB3ENR, and this IOMNGR is not mentionend anywhere else.Apparently IOMNGREN is in fact OCTOSPIM clock enable, as after setting it OCTOSPIM registers become available at 0x5200B40X as expected. The very same applies to IOMNGRRST in RCC_AHB3RSTR as well.

HelloI have a custom container common to several screen (with OK button in it).How can i call a callback of the current screen when a button is pressed in the container ?I do call the callback of the custom containe, but don't know how to propagate it to the current view.(for example when OK button is pressed i want to execute the action in each view containing this custom container)I there an example of this ?thanksregards

Had been able to connect to connect to the STM32H563 chip using the STMCubeProgrammer.  However after a full chip erase was performed was no longer able to connect.  The following message popup appears when trying to connect:“Cannot connect to access port1!. If you are trying to connect to a device with TrusZone enabled please try to connect with HotPlug mode. If you are trying to connect to H5 device and your target is already locked with password or certificate, please open your device using Debug Authentication."Other than the full flash erase, no other operation was performed, no flash code had been changed, etc.  The board was just out of the box working until the flash erase operation was performed.

A question of compehension:I cannot find any of the OCTOSPIM registers - neither in STM32CubeMX, nor in the register list, read by STM32CubeProgrammer. Am I right, that's because in our chip, there's only one OCTOSPIM port?(I would appreciate, if that was mentioned in the reference manual, that that whole section "OCTOSPI I/O manager (OCTOSPIM)" has no relevance for certain chip subtypes, with a reference to the data sheet.)But then I ask: Why do I still have the OCTOSPI2 registers? Because "In the default out-of-reset configuration, all the OCTOSPI1 and OCTOSPI2 signals are mapped, respectively, on Port 1 and on Port 2." (reference manual). And since I cannot change that mapping, and since I have no OCTOSPIM2 port, what's the point in the OCTOSPI2 registers then?Did I misunderstand / miss something?

I have build a board of STM32MP151AAC3 processor. It has almost everything, except audio output and DSI Display. STM32MP151 series does not support DSI.Anyway! I used the included Design Rules from that CAD file  .The Design Rules are narrow and tight, so not even JLCPCB can produce this board. Question:Which manufacturer can produce this board if the design rules looks like this? This is an open source project, so I will upload this on GitHub later.

Part: STM32L4R5ZIT6I would like to use TIM2 to increment 3 other timers at different times:TIM2 is incrementing from an external clock and rolling over at a set period.1. TIM2 rollover would increment TIM52. TIM2 Compare 1 would increment TIM13. TIM2 Compare 2 would increment TIM8TIM5 would increment at time 0 of every period. TIM1 would increment at t1 of every period. TIM8 would increment  at t2 of every period. Is this even possible? Thanks.

I'm aiming to store data persistently in flash memory on an STM32 microcontroller. I've created a struct to hold the data, but I'm facing challenges with:Data Erasure: The data gets erased after a while, likely due to sector erase cycles.Sector Boundaries: I understand that flash memory erases in sectors, and I'd like to avoid writing to the same sector repeatedly to improve flash lifespan. However, I'm unsure about the best approach to determine where to store the data to ensure persistence. What recommended strategies or libraries are available for wear leveling on STM32 microcontrollers to distribute writes across different sectors and prolong flash life? Is a log-structured approach suitable for frequently updated data stored in a struct? If so, can you provide guidance on implementing this technique efficiently? How can I determine the appropriate sector size for my application and calculate suitable addresses for storing my struct data, taking wear leveling into account?

Hi, I am trying to create an example project for my NUCLEO-F401RE board by following the following steps:1. Completely clean Debian 11.9.0 installation (in virtual machine)2. Download and install STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1 (STM32CubeIDE-DEB)3. Launch the IDE and create a C-project for the board. All path and pin settings default.4. During the project setup process a "Licensing Agreement" window pops up and the IDE freeze (see attached screenshot).Do you have any suggestion what is going wrong?thanks/F
