Hi all,Some of the ST BLE microcontrollers now support BLE 5.4. Can anyone point me out any code example or application note with Encrypted Advertising Data feature that is specified on the latest BLE specification?I am working with STM32WB series...Regards.

Problem:There are a significant amount of threads where code is pasted as plaintext a thread. As an example, this one, where the user clearly searched for a way to format it as code but couldn't find how:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/failing-to-read-useful-data-from-adc-of-stm32f411/td-p/631535The underlying issue is that formatting a code block is hidden behind the "..." in the editor. This is despite having more than enough room to accommodate such an important feature.Suggesting:Consider promoting the code formatting to the main toolbar and relegating the following near-useless features to the "..." abyss:Spoiler tags. (Why is this a thing at all?)Insert video.Change font.Change font size.Chang text color.Run macro. (What even is this?)

Hello. I´m making pcb design for wireless temperature probe based on stm32wb35 and sensirion sht45. I´m so limited in dimensions of PCB so i´ve decided to make this design only with HSE crystal. I found that it´s possible to configure BLE operations without LSE crystal. It possible to configure an I2C device also for this hardware? Thanks

I am struggling to get ethernet to work on my custom PCB H723. I have succeeded develop an ethernet LWIP application on H723 NUCLEO board though. I have more or less copied the schematic of the NUCLEO board, however when running the LWIP_init function it ends in the while(1) error handler loop. I am also using the LAN8742 IC with RMII, 25MHz external osci. When i power my board the LED2 is always lighting up. When I connect a ethernet cable LED1 will light and blink for activity. Anyone have experienced similar? Or have any thoughts or go-to's? I am out of ideas.   Friendly regards, David

Hello ST Community, I am using a VNHD7008AY ICs to control a brushed motor (XDW043003-01, LowSide-Mosfets: SIR606DP-T1-GE3CT)The PCB is supplied with 24VDC. The application has the problem, that the motor can be moved by the user both in and against the turning direction. To protect against short overvoltage cases, where the user moves the motor in turning direction, I am using a zener diode (BZG04-22-M) connected to Motor_VCC and Ground. With Software (simple PID Controller) I can detect the user moving the motor faster than expected and reversing the polarity of the motor, which slows down the movement until the actual position is again equal to the expected position. Therefor the application has no problem with overvoltages during normal operation. The problem arises, when the PCB does not have a supply voltage. When the motor is moved, a voltage is induced due to the nature of brushed DC-Motors through the body diodes of NMOS and PMOS from Motor_VCC to Ground.Motor charact

I want to connect a B-OMV-Cam module to a nucleo board H7A3ZI-Q. When I did my research I found that the only board commonly used with the cam module is the DISCO discovery board. Is the cam module meant for specific bards and if not, how can I connect it to a nucleo board ? I tested neural networks for computer vision in the MX Cube AI ide and got the H7A3ZI-Q as a suggestion.  Thank you for your responses !

Dear ST,I am developing an end device to my solution with the ability to report some measured values every minute. The device successfully enters and exits a standby status and reports back. Now I am trying to devise some kind of network management to the devices (join new networks, leave old ones, detect if there is a coordinator in the network etc.). They way I achieved this in my non-sleepy devices was through route discoveries to the coordinator. If a route is found, it is still a valid network. The problem arises in my sleepy end devices where some request responses (including a Route Discovery) seem to be ignored and the IPCC triggers the callback always with a success status. As I understand it the messages are pooled and managed by the parent, but I thought it would still trigger the callbacks when received even if blocking the application.  I tried to set the RxOnIdle capability to true, but this seems to not fix the issue. Then I thought it was because of the RFD firmwa

Gm, I am creating a scrollable list of items, and we want have an image for each one of the items in the list, I have created a code that always prints 12 images depending on the scrollContainer.getScrolledY() value. This is for memory saving. To display the image i use BMPFileLoader.cpp from the touchGFX documentation. And i have created a 6MB cache in FrontedAplication.cpp which can print my image like 21 times.(I use the same image for debugging but later on they will have different images)This is how I update the images:I call lthis code every 50 ticks. And everything works perfectly but once a amount of ticks has passed, this is what happens to the images:They dissappear, and i don't know what is causing this. I'd like to debug or be able to see whats being stored in the cache or if clearCache() is really removing the images from the cache, but I have no way to do this right? As I said before, this happens after an amount of ticks have happened as if i call this every

Hello,I'm testing a prototype board with STM32MP135FAE7 and MT41K256M16TW-107 DDR3L, using STM32DDRFW-UTIL firmware.DDR_Test_Random fails if memcpy (DDR -> DDR) is used inside this test (this is the only one test using memcpy) but not if I'm copying memory using plain C loop with pointers to volatile uint32_t or volatile uint64_t. Failure type seems pretty consistent: 4 consecutive bits (one, always the same nibble) are "moved" from one 16-bit word to the next one. As far as I know (but I'm not 100% sure) this particular PCB data traces are uniform and relatively short (~28 mm), though one detail that might be more unusual is that order of data bits between MPU and DDR is swapped to help with routing.I've used default memory settings from this example (DDR model is matching), I've tried also relaxed timings from CubeMX and lowering memory clock but this issue was persistent.Do you have any hints how to debug this issue and what could be possible cause?

Hello,I am attempting to set up a timer PWM output to have a set 600s period with a variable duty cycle based on a potentiometer input using an STM32G030J6 MCU.  I've setup PWM output timers before will little difficulty but this time I'm having a difficult time calculating the Prescaler and ARR values to accomplish this long of a period.  Are the timers just not capable of doing this long of a period and I need to us a different method to create this signal?

Using TIMER4 - CH1 as PWM generator with DMA1 - Channel1 (memory to peripheral, circular mode, Half Word), the code generation produces this output in file tim.c:                where (see red arrow) it uses DMA_REQUEST_TIM1_CH1 instead of DMA_REQUEST_TIM4_CH1.Obviously, this way the PWM function doesn't work properly. By manually changing the value, it works fine!I've tested the same settings on different timers but seems that only TIMER4 is affected.Has anyone else noticed the same problem?

Why ? Why can I use more than 48KB RAM? Thanks!

Hello,I'm working on a STM32F103V8. The TIM3 should decode the signal of a rotary decoder.When I turn the rotary decoder clockwise the counter of TIM3 goes up.When I turn the rotary decoder anticlockwise the counter of TIM3 goes up.The MX_TIM3_Init is auto generated: static void MX_TIM3_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 0 */ TIM_Encoder_InitTypeDef sConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 1 */ htim3.Instance = TIM3; htim3.Init.Prescaler = 1; htim3.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim3.Init.Period = 65535; htim3.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim3.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_ENABLE; sConfig.EncoderMode = TIM_ENCODERMODE_TI12; sConfig.IC1Polarity = TIM_ICPOLARITY_FALLING; sConfig.IC1Selection = TIM_ICSELECTION_DIRECTTI; sConfig.IC1Prescaler = TIM_ICPSC_DIV1; sConfig.IC1Filter = 1; sConfig.IC2Polarity

Hello,I'm currently developing an application on a STM32H753VT6 with touchGFX and I have an issue with textAreas. Just to say that I'm using my personnal font ( size : 20/24/34 px). Each textArea has just one wildcard with a 17 chars size buffer. I'm sending text through a terminal on my PC to change wildcards values. In some cases, I don't know when, one letter is not totally displayed even if I invalidate all possible areas. Here are some pictures to illustrate the problem :As you can see, it is always the second character that is partially displayed (but sometimes there is no problem, for example, adding a space " " before "APPEL EN COURS" works)Any idea ?Regards,AJT

Hello,I am trying to debug a code that are running in core0 and core1. I inserted a breakpoint inside main_core0() and main_core1() infinite loop, but the debugger does not stop on breakpoints. In the core2 the debugger stops on breakpoint.I am sure that those codes are running because the LEDs that should be blinking by those codes, they are blinking.I am using a SPC58NH-DISP board and the new AEK-MCU-SPC5LNK dongle configured to OpenOCD protocol.

Hi all,I am looking for a way to enable CTE on stm32wb55,but i didn't find a function like      "gap_set_connection_cte_tx_param()" to config CTE.I know that stm32wb55 support BLE 5.1 but i cant find a relevant function in ble_gap_aci.c .Does STM32WB support CTE or not?If it does, how to enable cte on stm32wb55?Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to build TFM example applications from the B-U585I-IOT02A directory to work on Nucleo-U545RE board. THe documentation says it's possible. I have updated the project settings, but I'm getting errors from the STSAFE library: C:/Work/OldCourse/SecureBootTesting_ST/Projects/B-U585I-IOT02A/Applications/TFM/TFM_Appli/Secure/Src/stsafea_service_interface.c:92:51: warning: implicit declaration of function '__HAL_RCC_GPIOF_CLK_ENABLE' [-Wimplicit-function-declaration] 92 | #define STSAFEA_VREG_GPIO_PORT_CLK_ENABLE __HAL_RCC_GPIOF_CLK_ENABLE | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ C:/Work/OldCourse/SecureBootTesting_ST/Projects/B-U585I-IOT02A/Applications/TFM/TFM_Appli/Secure/Src/stsafea_service_interface.c:301:3: note: in expansion of macro 'STSAFEA_VREG_GPIO_PORT_CLK_ENABLE' 301 | STSAFEA_VREG_GPIO_PORT_CLK_ENABLE(); | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ C:/Work/OldCourse/SecureBootTesting_ST/Projects/B-U585I-IOT02A/Applications/TFM/TFM_Appli/Secure/Src/stsafea_service_interface.c:9

Hello,I've implemented secure bootloader on STM32H753ZI using SBSFU examples and it's working very well. To secure the board I use WRP + RDP Level 1 + Secure Memory Area for bootloader. I would like to have option to recover from this state and be able to switch board to Level 0 with mass erase. Unfortunately I cannot achive it. After switch from bootloader to main app I can only connect with hot plug moge (which is correct I think as Security OB is checked). I can't change RDP level from 1 to 0 in this mode using STM32 Cube Programmer. I click apply and nothing happens. I also can't set Secure Memory Area from Cube Programmer and it's only possible to set it from code in bootloader.I tried to include code in my bootloader on the beginning which checks GPIO state. When it's low it set RDP level to 0. Without Secure Memory Area it's working fine and memory is erased and RDP is set to 0. However when I add Secure Memory Area and setting GPIO to low level I can't connect to board in any w

I am developing some applications that use an STM32G431 MCU and have a question about one of the figures in the reference manual (RM0440). In the chapter descripting the FDCAN peripheral, Figure 664 "FDCAN block diagram" (MSv51819V2) labels the FDCAN peripheral block as "FDCANL". What is the significance of the "L" suffix here? Is it a revision code of some sort? Does it indicate a "light" version of the peripheral? Something else? For comparison, I looked at some other reference manuals:RM0456 (STM32U5 series) shows "CANFDL" as well (Figure 873, MS51817V1)RM0399 (for STM32H757) shows "FDCAN1" and "FDCAN2" (since there are two instances on that device) (Figure 775, MS51729V1).

My setting is a Nucleo F767ZI board with a IKS01A2 shield. I created a FreeRTOS project that periodically queries the temperature sensor, calculates an average of temperature data, and prints the temperature on the UART. It has three threads that work as follows:- The first thread performs a HAL_I2C_Mem_Read_DMA to read temperature from the sensor on the shield, stops on a FreeRTOS event (that is fired by the DMA completion callback), then acquires mutex A, puts the temperature data in a shared circular buffer, releases A, and then sleeps (period: 100 ms).- The second thread acquires mutex A, calculates the average of the temperatures stored in the shared circular buffer, releases A, then acquires mutex B, puts the average in a shared variable, releases B, and then sleeps (period: 500 ms).- The third thread acquires mutex B, reads the shared variable with the average temperature, releases B, prints on the UART and then sleeps (period: 1000 ms).The application fails in few seconds with

Hello,I need to implement AES-CBC 192 bits on micro STM32U5 serie, but hardware only supports 128 or 256 bits If i use XCUBE-SAFEA1, ST_Cryptolib is not available for U5 serie. How can i fix this issue?

Hello,I am planning to use IAR Workbench for development on STM32H745 controller.I have worked on STLDR file i.e. external loader program with ST programmer and STM32CubeIDE but not used external memory loader with IAR workbench.1. Can STLDR be used with IAR workbench or some other file is needed?2. How to go about programming the external memory through IAR workbench?3. What tools are used for programming the contoller ST link? , ST programmer? Please share details and links to resources if aThanks Anuj

Hello everybody,I bought a STM32G431RB Nucleo. I created code for it with the STM32 CubeMX and modiefied the code in the STM32 CubeIDE. I want to access "HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback" and "HAL_TIM_PWM_PulseFinishedCallback", I read that this is possible by calling "HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT" for "HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback" and "HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_IT" for "HAL_TIM_PWM_PulseFinishedCallback". But when I do that, the STM32 seems to crash. Am I doing something wrong, or is this simply not possible?Thank you in advance!int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */   /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* In
