Solved

Hello Everyone,I have a problem. I am doing some testing with an STM32f429I board. My project involves controlling several peripherals. Now what I would like to ask is, once I have created a TouchGFX graphic with all the interactions and various pages, how do I integrate it into my pre-existing project on CubeIDE without upsetting everything?I already have TouchGFX enabled in the software package. I would like to physically figure out how to move the graphic from the project that GFX creates for me to my own. Then I will figure out how to implement the functions for the interactions in the graphics.ThanksTranslated with DeepL.com (free version)

Hi,     I am currently using STM32H5 series, to transmit the RTC register content to an escalator base board. I need to transmit these data in a parallel manner (i.e. MCU act as a slave and the base board act as a master). I studied that STM32H5 series has PSSI which involves a data bus (PSSI_D[15:0]), data enable (PSSI_DE) and ready bit (PSSI_RDY) and a clock (PSSI_PDCK). Where the signal comes from the base boards are address and data lines (PMD<7:0>), chip select (PMCSx), read (PMRD) and write signal (PMWR).A 4-bit address is transmit to the MCU (slave) from the base board (master). The MCU needs to place the data in the data bus as shown in the Figure 4-1. Is it possible to implement this in STM32H5 series? If not then suggests me some other STM MCUs with the following specifications:1. Dimension between (5mmx5mm) to (9mmx9mm)2. Pin count between 32 to 643. Package - Any package except ball grid array Your help and advice much appreciated.

BACKROUND:I am using TouchGFX Designer - 4.24.0I am using the board STM32H735G-DKThis generates STM projects in STM32CubeMX V6.11.0 using STM32Cube FW_H7_V1.11.1When I am done with touchGFX I go to STM32Cube IDE to do some scripting on the behaviors of the GUI.When I open the .IOC file for the first time I am prompted with a message that wants me to migrate my project to STM32CubeMX V6.11.1 using STM32Cube FW_H7_V1.11.2PROBLEM:If I say no to the migration and I attempt to give a "job"(EX: GPIO output) to a pin then generate code it will not correctly generate code in the main.c file. A few forums talked about the main.h or gpio.c and I look into those with no luck either. If I run the program the basic GUI set up in TouchGFX appears on the screenIf I say yes it works! All the correct code is generated correctly in the main.c file. When I attempt to run the program it executes very fast and displays a black screen after it finishes executing. No error messages occur.EXTRANOTES:I am

Hello guys! we generally configures UART in the cube mx and generating the codes, and after by calling Transmit and Recieve functions we are checking the outs on serial terminals.. if we dont get desired outputs then we are trying to dubbug and testing the hardware and observing the frames on CROs.For most of the software engineers operating CROs is a headache. thats why i was thinking to build Selt test code in that it should verify the UART initialization is configured properly or not as well as it should check the configured baudrate is generating correctly or not by getting feedback on some other GPIOs.

According the the Lora Logo guide from Semtech, one can apply on the use of the logo if one is using a RF IC of Semtech. https://blog.semtech.com/how-to-name-and-brand-your-lora-applicationDoes this also hold true for the STM32WLE which integrates Semtech technology?

Hello, I am working with RAK3172 which has STM32WLE5CCU6, from CubeMX I am enabling it's SUBGHZ_Phy functionality. But after code generation I am seeing there are two files "app_subghz_phy" and "subghz_phy_app", what are the differences between these two? Which files needs to be modified if I want to control the radio layer? Thank you.

I can remember that the Project Manager tab of the STM32CubeIDE showed an option to change the used firmware package. In my current project I'm not able to do that. When opening the .ioc file the used FW package is version 1.17.3, while the IDE actually has version 1.18 installed already. Is this some kind of bug? Or intended behaviour? How do I change the project to use the latest FW for the MCU?I just noticed it in IDE version 1.14, but an update to the current vresion 1.15 did not change it.

Hello!I'm quite new to this, so I hope I'm providing enough information. I have successfully run a DS18B20 temperature sensor on a Nucleo L476RG and written the temperature to the tag of the NFC07A1. However, this only works while it's connected to a power source. Now, I have an NFC08A1 on a Nucleo F746ZG, and I want it to power the sensor (and on a next step read the temperature from the sensor). When I run the Energy Harvesting (EH), I get approximately +/- 2.5 V on the tag part, which isn't even enough to light the green LED of the NFC07A1 fully. On the reader/source side, I'm running the demo PollingTagDetect_NDEF.Could anyone provide some advice on what I might be doing wrong, or let me know if you need any other information to assist me?Thank you in advance,Kris

Hello, I have designed my PCB with stm32f427VIT6 and a 24Mhz crystal oscillator. I was trying to upload and test the normal blink code and it's not working. If I disable the external clock, the LED works and does not work with an external clock. I am completely new to STM, I did not know exactly whether I messed up with the design or could not configure the clock properly. I am attaching the schematics of my connection and a screenshot of the clock configuration that I have tried. Kindly help me :)

Hi I am luis.I'm testing TouchGFX, and I have a question. After creating an example board project with TouchGFX V4.22.1 Designer and then moving the STM32F769I_DISCO.ioc file into the STM32CubeIDE folder to set the IO, an error occurs when compiling after setting the IO. There are too many errors to easily resolve. I would like to know what is the optimal way to set up IO after creating a project with TouchGFX V4.22.1 Designer.

I am using the STEVAL-STWINBX1 development board and have downloaded the FP-SNS-DATALOG2 software to the board. When I use the board in stand alone mode, the data is saved to the SD card and the folders are sequentially named as DL2_00001, DL2_00002, DL2_00003 etc. When the board is connected via USB to a computer, the data is streamed and saved to to the computer and the folders are named with the year/month/date/time (YYYYMMDD_HH_MM_SS). Is there anyway to name the folders with the year/month/date/time (YYYYMMDD_HH_MM_SS) when using the board in stand alone mode and logging to the SD card ?  Whether that means implementing a real time clock or receiving a UNIX time from some external source ? I need to synchronize the data logs from different DAQ systems including the STEVAL-STWINBX1, so a folder named with year/month/date/time is a requirement. Note: This also relates to my post about synchronizing different DAQ systems... https://commun

Hello, I am looking for a solution to my problem.I am using an STM32C031 to light LEDs using SPI signals.I am using a connector to connect the STM32 mounting board to the LED mounting board. The connector connects the DC power supply and the SPI signals DATA and CLK of the STM32OUT.When this connector is plugged or unplugged in several times, a phenomenon appears in which all of the connected LEDs blink abnormally. Verification of the waveform revealed that the waveform was abnormal at the SPIOUT of the STM32. This abnormal waveform cannot be corrected without turning the power of the STM32 itself on and off.We investigated the possibility of correcting the problem programmatically and found that changing the SPI baud rate from 3 MBits/s to 1.5 MBits/s did not produce the abnormal waveform at the active wire insertion/withdrawal. However, I am not sure if this is a fundamental solution. Is it possible that this kind of SPI baud rate setting changes the behavior when physical damage is i

Hello,I am trying to find available solutions for below requirement.I am using STM32H743 MCU in a design and I want to add external SRAM of 128Mbytes to the design.I understand can do this with FMC, but the problem is available pins for the FMC are conflicting with the requirements of the other peripherals.I read the documents and found that there is a possibility of extending the RAM with Quad-SPI, but it is not clear to me when it says, "Can't be written to the memory when it is configured memory-mapped code execution mode". I am open to study available options, it would be appreciated, if anyone can suggest any options, share their experience with a similar situation. Thanks

I want to use the LCD Display in the ST25DV Discovery kit "MB1283" Motherboard to measure the harvested energy(Voltage and Current) from my custom ST25DV04K board with Antenna. I know how to select the Energy Harvesting display (with the Micro USB connected to external power) to display harvested energy with the ST25DV_Discovery_Ant provided in the kit, but what pins on the J4 "ST25DX" 14-pin Extension Connector (or elsewhere on MB1283 motherbard) do I need to connect from my custom board to measure / display Energy Harvest?

Hi,I have two custom boards using the same OCTOSPI HyperFlash and for some reason the memory fails to run at higher speeds with U5-board.Board 1-H7 MCU at 550 MHz-OCTOSPI at 160 MHz works fine! (max clk is 166 MHz)Board 2-H5 MCU at 160 MHz-OCTOSPI at 160 MHz fails in W/R.... (works fine up to 110 MHz)Could there be any specific reasons why the U5 cannot handle the OCTOSPI running at 160 MHz, which in this case is the same speed as the MCU clock?

Hello everyone. I am getting started with SPI and am here with what I believe to be a pretty simple mistake or oversight on my part that I am just not seeing. For the first part of this project, I wish to create a file named "write.txt" on my SD card using just my code in the NUCLEO-F411RE [though I believe the board I use doesn't make much of a difference as long as it is in the STM32F family(?)]. I am using SPI1 for this project (I disabled the LED attached to the SCK pin) and have decided to use pin PB2 as my CS--set the pin as a standard I/O). Here is my code: my main.c file:  /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #include "main.h" #include "fatfs.h" /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ /* USER CODE END Includes */ /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE END PTD */ /* Private define --

I'm using STM32F446.I'm generating PWM signals using TIM1 and TIM8 (on APB2, which runs at 90MHz, and 180MHz for the timers).I'm also generating PWM signals using TIM4 and TIM12 (on APB1, which runs at 45MHz, and 90MHz for the timers).I start each PWM independently, so their starting edges are not synchronized, but this is not the point.TIM1 and TIM8 are "in sync" in the sense that the shift between the two signals remains perfectly constant, with no drift whatsoever.TIM4 and TIM12 are also "in sync" in this sense. However, TIM1-8 and TIM4-12 are not in sync with each other; their relative phase shifts around in an unpredictable way, and quite quickly. I'm not sure whether it's just jitter (i.e. the drift averages to 0 over a long period of time) or the drift diverges.Of course I'm prescaling TIM1-8 by 2, so that the counting frequency is the same as that of TIM4-12.Even if I change the APB2 prescaler so that the two buses are at the same frequency, the out-of-sync behavior persists.I w

HelloI have a custom board with the st25r3920B. I want to operate this board in CE mode.So I set RFAL_FEATURE_LISTEN_MODE to true. But there is a difficulty because there is no sequence or example code for how to operate in CE mode.Where should NDEF data be set and how do I set AID?Is there any working example, or documentation to implement card emulation?

Hello,  I'm trying to getting started with STm32429I-EVAL1 board with CubeIDE.I coded a simple hello world program and built it, then I encountered error that "ST-Link is not in the DFU mode. Please restart it." I did followings to solve it:- restart the board- unplug then plug the all cables (PSU, ST-Link V2, and USART)- restart CubeIDE and rebuild the prohect None of them worked, I don't know how to enter the DFU mode. Also, I cannot find Port(COM&UPT) in the Windows device manager even I connected USART cable. All the cables are connected into USB port on the PC. Can anyone help me?

Here is what I've done: When my microcontrollers receives a sleep request from CAN, it goes on StandbyMode as shown below: Fisrt I disable CAN peripherals: can_lld_stop(&CANDRIVER1); can_lld_stop(&CANDRIVER2); Then I disable clock and interrupts: SPC5_PIT0_DISABLE_CLOCK(); SPC5_CAN_SUB_0_M_CAN_1_DISABLE_CLOCK(); ...... irqIsrDisable(); Finally it enters in STANDBY_MODE: if(SPCSetRunMode(SPC5_RUNMODE_STANDBY0) == CLOCK_FAILED) { SPC5_CLOCK_FAILURE_HOOK() }It wakes up when I apply a 5V on wake_up pin. Before doing all this procedure, I have already written some data to internal SRAM.Now when my microcontrollers wakes up, all SRAM's data are lost. I have tried two methods: 1) I modified the linker's file as shown, in order to reserve 4 bytes for my new backupsram : MEMORY{.... ram : org = 0X400A8004, len = 192k - 64k backupram : org = 0x400A8000, len = 0x04.....}//define size, start, end ( for example __backupram_end__ = ORIGIN(backupram) + LENGTH(backupram);SECTIONS {.......sta

Hello,I'm developing an application on the NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q. I need some pins to stay high while the microcontroller is in Stop3 mode. The Datasheet suggests to use internal pull ups, because the GPIO peripheral is not active in Stop3 mode. For this reason, I have configured the GPIO as input and with internal pull-up before entering Stop3 mode.I've used the following functions:   LL_GPIO_SetPinPull(GPIOC, LL_GPIO_PIN_6, GPIO_PULLUP); LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOC, LL_GPIO_PIN_6, LL_GPIO_MODE_INPUT); It works and the pin stays high. However, whenever the microcontroller go into Stop3 mode, the GPIO voltage goes to zero.Any Idea? Am I missing something?Thank you in Advance

Hi Community,I'm new to working with STM32 microcontrollers and I'm encountering a challenge when transmitting data through SPI on my STM32 Nucleo board. I'd appreciate some guidance from the experienced members of this community. My Goal:Transmit the value 6 (binary: 0b10) using the SPI interface.I'm utilizing the HAL_SPI_Transmit function for data transmission. The Problem:Regardless of the data I send, I consistently see a doubling of the value on my logic analyzer. For example, sending 6 results in seeing 12 displayed. It seems like a constant shift is happening, and I'm unsure of the cause. My Code Snippet:Cconst uint8_t Value1 = 0b10; while (1) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_6, RESET); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi1, (uint8_t *)&Value1, 1, 100); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_6, SET); HAL_Delay(2000); }Attached Screenshots:Logic Analyzer ViewCubeMX SPI Configuration    Seeking Assistance:By reviewing the screenshots and considering my code, I'd be incredi
