Solved

Hello,  I recently purchased the STM32MPU135F-DK and is having an issue with connecting to the discovery kit using the STM32CubeProgrammer Version 2.16.0.  It looks like when i try to connect the STM32MPU135F-DK, I get this "Cannot Access Port 0!!!" (Please see picture attached). I have never seen this issue before with any of my STM32 discovery kits. Can you please tell me how to fix this issue?

Hello everyone.First, sorry for my english. I'm still learning, and i'm trying to write this text without using google translator.I found one problem in the Cube MX (already solved), in the generation code in a specific case, and I don't know where is the correct place to post it, I think that is here, but if not, please tell me where it is.I always generate code in the Project Manager to use MKD-ARM V5.32 using "Copy Only the necessary library folder" option in the "Project Manager/Code Generator" tab, but this creates a lot of unecessary duplicated files.Today I try the option "Add necessary library files as reference in the toolchain project configuration file", and the code does not compile, for "No such file or directory" error. My user in this computer is "Cristhian Guedes", with a space between the words, and the CubeMX is generating links to Include folders using "CristhianGuedes" directories. For exemple, the include path is generated:"C:/Users/CristhianGued

I have read most of the replies to posts that had the same problem that I am having with HAL_Delay() not working.  None of the solutions that I tried worked. It is apparent that the interrupt handler is never getting executed so any attempt to use HAL_Delay() just locks up the firmware.  In an earlier version of this firmware, I did not have any problems, but now I have not been able to restore operation.Help!  (thanks in advance)

Hello everyone,I got a yocto build from scratch using yocto/open-embedded/meta-st-stm32mp. Everything is smooth. I can root the kernel while standing. I can establish an ssh connection. Everything is perfect. But I want to create an SDK after the kernel compilation I received. In the next step, I will integrate the SDK I created into cubeide and start developing code. But when I say "bitbake -c populate_sdk core-image-minimal" I get the following error. I've been struggling with this error all day and couldn't solve it. Does anyone have an idea? Sincelery

See for example this helpful post by @Andrew Neilhttps://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32-ic-s-unique-id/m-p/657372/highlight/true#M239912 Andrew is a stand-up guy. He wouldn't be this sloppy when posting, but it's not his fault.Whenever someone inserts a "Code" block, in order to get syntax highlighting. Any subsequent edit of the post adds an extra blank line above and below the block. It doesn't matter if you erase them when you edit. They can only grow, like the mythical hydra. The only solution is to remove the code nlock entirely, delete all the blank lines and save the post. Then edit it again, and re-insert the code-block. Then, you must never-ever-ever edit that post again, or you'll have to go through it all over. Come on ST. 2024. AI. 32TOPS in every phone within 5 years. Can we fix the editor please???

The STM32G4 I'm using supports up to 8 hardware USB endpoints. I'd like to it to enumerate as a composite device with 3 CDC-ACM channels (doing so would greatly simplify the host software). Since each CDC-ACM class device requires 3 endpoints one each for data in/out, and one interrupt EP for control.,I'm one endpoint short of success. However, the control endpoint is only used to signal the desired baud-rate to the MCU, which I can either ignore or set for all three channels uniformly. That is, I don't this endpoint for function, but the spec seems to require it. The question is whether the USB spec actively would allow me to "bend the rules" in this way, by specifying a single end as shared by multiple interfaces. I suspect the device will fail to enumerate, since the OS will reject the descriptors as invalid. Would appreciate anyone who has information to offer about this kind of hack.

I'm working on porting the RFAL for ST25R3916B to an nRF5340, using the pairing example for X-NUCLEO-8. I have it all compiling and flashing correctly, but things break down during initialization here:In rfalInitialize() -> st25r3916Initialize(), the issue occurs when trying to measure voltage with st25r3916MeasureVoltage(). After executing st25r3916ExecuteCommandAndGetResult, I get the below SPI trace. The IRQ line goes high as expected, the RFAL then sends a read request for registers 0x1A through 0x1D, and the ST25R3916B does not respond with any active IRQs and does not clear the IRQ line. This results in a memory access violation on the nRF5340. This is the standard, unmodified RFAL for ST25R3916/B. The DCT interrupt is enabled. The SPI trace looks exactly the same as a previous IRQ read. Is there something different about the Measure Power Supply (0xDF) command? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello therei have maserati levante modena 2022 SUV and it’s totally flooded.BCM also totally damaged.BCM mcu is ST spc5605bmlu6.I couldn’t find any application to read and re-write this mcu.does anyone know what is the best tool to do this operation?thanks

Dear all, currently, I'm making to control a BLDC motor from throttle using ADC1 channel 0. The MCU part number is STM32G0B1RBT6. I can read the ADC value successfully in SDK 5.4.8. The way how I do is I defined the ADC1-IN0 in Cube Mx and then I added extra code in main.c then I can read the ADC value. Now, I want to switch the SDK to 6.2.1. but in SDK6.2.1 it's showing errors when I add extra codes in main.c. So, my question is how can i solve this issues in order to read the addition ADC in MCSDK 6.2.1.Below are the screenshots that I put the extra codes in main.c file.

Are there some tool like STM32CubeMonitor for SPC5 microcontrollers? With STM32CubeMonitor it is possible to load an elf or out file and watch variables values using gui components like gauge, bar, etc...

Hi ,While exploring flashloader macro using IAR IDE to update Option bytes , I programmed FLASH_OPTR register with Readout Protection level 1.Since then  I am not able to communicate to device using STLink and following is the errorIs there anyway I can establish communication with device using debugger to rewrite the readout protection level bit to level 0. Please share your thoughts. Regards,Hareesha

I've checked the documentation tab on the product page and also in the user manual, but can not find it.Is it available somewhere? Thanks, josh

Hi everyone,We recently purchased a NUCLEO-WB55RG Dual Core EVK for R&D purposes. We later realized that in the STM32WB55CGU6TR MCU, the Cortex M0+ core is dedicated to BLE. Is there any possibility of toggling GPIO on the Cortex M0+ core? If so, can anyone share a sample code for this? Thanks in advance!

I plugged in a new nucleo-h563zi, but the st-link wasn't found. The demo blinky code is running fine.LD6 is solid green andLD4 is slow blinking forever On Ubuntu 22 LTSAny ideas?

I follow the guidelines in this articlehttps://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/scenarios/example-gpioand my Touchgfx program can react to a single hardware button pressed event. Now I need to add 1 more hardware button and calculate how long the user has been pressing a button in order to direct a user to the relevant setup screen.I have a few questions I would like to ask:1. The HAL class has a single pointer to a ButtonController-inherited class object: ButtonController* buttonController, does it imply that I need to write a single class to handle all pressed events of all hardware buttons?2. How often the method ButtonController::sample(uint8_t &key) is called andby which class?3. How should I calculate the duration of a button press with the current Touchgfx's classes (ButtonController for example) and methods?Thank you for your help.

Hello!I've been using STM32 uC for a long time, and I decided to try the STM32H503RBT6 microcontroller.Using the NUCLEO-H503RB I created a brand new project and set up the DAC (without any timers or DMA, just plain simple direct DAC) and nothing else - (config in the picture below).Using a scope, I noticed a lot of glitches on the generated waveform (a simple 10 steps waveform from 0V to 3.3V). Sometimes it worked as it should, sometimes it didn't work at all, sometimes it worked but the waveform was super random (Oh! And it even changed this behavior if I simply reset the board). I tried to change a lot of settings (except in the clock config tab), but nothing made it work 100% of the time. Only then I decided to try changing the clock settings. After a day of frustrating debugging, I noticed that the interface of cubeMX seems to be wrong. I checked a hundred times if I chose the correct microcontroller when making the project, etc, but it was configured correctly. In the picture b

Hi,I have a question about configuring NDEF messages on tags. Can I put multiple function records in one NDEF file? For example, I just want to connect uri link with one NDEF file and also wifi connection at the same time.Is it possible? If possible, please let me know how to organize the record of the ndef file. Many sites say that Android only recognizes one record, but I can't find anything like official specifications, so I leave a question. If you know any related official documents, please guide me. Best Regards,

Hello everyone, I am trying to debug a custom board with STM32MP151 with WM8988 connected with SAI2, the connection is just as  STM32MP15x-DK with except that there is no I2S to HDMI. The device tree configuration is a mimic of STM32MP15xx-dkx.dtsi. After bootup, the soundcard was created, and I can run alsamixer. The problem is whenever I try to play a sound, the driver complains about cannot get MCLK because the freq passed to wm8988_set_dai_sysclk() is zero. The log messages shown that the asoc try to configure the dai, but it passed the wrong MCLK freq to wm8988 dai. I don't know why? Is there something I am missing in the device tree? Also, I tried to enable DEBUG in stm32_sai_sub.c and find that stm32_sai_mclk_enable() may not be called because I cannot find “Enable master clock” in dmesg. I am using openstlinux eco system 4, the distro version is 4.0.11. Here is the snipet of the device tree. &i2c4{ pinctrl-names = "default", "sle

How do we configure the STM32L073RZT6 to produce a 1-second delay using Timer3 without using HAL libraries? Please help me understand the calculations involved, along with which registers need to be configured

Hi there all,I have been looking to power some LEDs which require 25mA supply at 3.3V. This is above the capabilities of this Nucleo-64 board as it is stated that the maximum GPIO supplied current is 20mA per pin (100mA total across all pins). For reference, this is the circuit I would like to connect which is part of the Bourns PEL12T rotary encoder. Pin 5 is supplied a 3v3 source and all other LED pins are held high. When the LEDs need to light, the GPIO pins should go low allowing current to flow.Would it be better to use an external 3V3 power supply to power pin 5 only, or desolder SB5 (which disconnects internal 3V3 regulator) and power the whole board by plugging the external 3V3 supply to the 3V3 pin on the arduino or morpho header.I have several questions:Would the above described method of using two 3V3 supplies be safe for the Nucleo board? If plugging in an external 3V3 supply and desoldering SB5 would it be possible to still use ST-Link if a USB cable is plugged in?Does using

Is it possible to setup a default project from the command line? eg:cube --board nuclueo-f429zi -project my_project Thanks

Hi, I am working on an Azure RTOS project, which requires jumbo frames capability. My current devkit is a MYD-YF13X to utilize 1 gigabit ethernet PHYs. My goal is to receive 9000-byte packets, but I am not able to receive any bigger than ~2000 bytes.Packets with size over 2kB are simply being ignored, as they wouldn't be transferred. The eth interrupts and respective receive complete callbacks are not being activated for them.  I performed the following configuration:I have also configured the YT8521-SH ethernet PHY to work with jumbo framesI have also adapted the size of the buffers respectively. At the end I worked with the OpenSTLinux with both STM32MP13-Devkit and MYD-YF13X. I wanted to resize the MTU of eth interface. With the ifconfig tool I wasn't able to set the MTU to 9000 bytes. Once again, it was constrained to 2000 bytes. Why is the constraint set to ~2000? I would be thankful for any advice and help. Best,J.Schneider

HiI'm using the OpenSTlinux starter package.I want to change the SSH port communicated by dropbear from 22.Setting a file in the device and rebooted, but it doesn't change from SSH port 22.file:  /etc/default/dropbearDROPBEAR_PORT=10022 *line added"DROPBEAR_EXTRA_ARGS" setting will take effect after the change. Is it possible to change the SSH port in dropbear settings?Best regards,

Hello,I designed custom board with STM32MP157 and LPDDR3 memory. Due to PCB manufacture restrictions I needed to connect to ground unused signal called DDR_ATO. I want to know if this is a problem, because if it is the case I can just remove 1 ball from the IC and solder it like that, but maybe it is not necessary? Thank you, Dominik.

Hello everyone, I have a weird problem. At my internship, I was given a SIM900 and SIM7600 module and told to make projects based on them, yet I cannot find these modules anywhere on the internet. The project I wish to do with the SIM900 is thus: Send an SMS to my phone. Here is the SIM900 module I was given:Here is the SIM7600 module, which is approx. the same:I have decided that the best course of action from this point onwards would be to try to use the pins of the chip itself to suit my needs. That is fine. What strikes me as odd is that I cannot, for the life of me, find these things anywhere. Are there any alternate sources I can try? I wrote the numbers on the cards into Google, I did Google reverse search, I tried to read the pins and figure out any distinct features but the SD card is the only one I can think of--which led me nowhere new. Is my research simply insufficient? Thank you for your time.
