Hi!I have an I-PMSM motor and interfaces an incremental encoder with A B ,without Z.Sometimes after doing encoder alignment，the motor runs reverse to the max speed,and it will never recover until i do encoder alignment again。I set the speed 30RPM,but when start ,the motor goes to -200+RPM.Most time the motor runs well but sometimes the problem will happen.（STM32 F303VCT6 ；PWM16000KHZ ；Main Sensor ：Incremental Encoder2048 no Z-index）I hope someone could help me figure out the problem.Best wishes.

Hy!I'm new to STM32. I'm currently using STM32F103C8T6 board, and it give MI command error (image attached). I have tried using STM32 programmer as well to fix it. Still couldn't. How can i fix this?

Hi,When using the .ioc to generate the code, it always shows:- SMPS must be enabled to reach the best consumption figure.   SMPS can be enabled from the Pinout tab under PWRHow to get rid of this? Or just omit it?

My workI have been experimenting with ethernet with tcp server, and i got some good referance to start the basic level of communication from the follwoing pages.https://controllerstech.com/stm32-ethernet-4-tcp-server/https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308What i have doneBased on this iam experimenting on server, on the controller iam able to do the communication with 9 server @100ms with 100bytes of data. For the server side when client sends some data server return 100 bytes of dataFor client side iam using winscok on visual studio, here iam initilizing same number of clients as in the server and transmitting data at 100ms (100 bytes)Observed packets through waveshark and there is no packet corruptionFrom the above referances some of the modification i have done is initilizing multiple instacnes at a time and pbuf and payload memory allocation at the time of connection accept, berfore it was done&nbs

Hi, We have been using the STM32WLE5CB for a while now, using the older die revision Z. Since we have a new batch with the new revision Y die of the STM32WLE5x we couldn't get our firmware working anymore. To try make it work we have tried to use the example LoRaWAN endnode and couldn't get it working on this revision. It seems to get stuck in initializing the RTC Alarm in the MX_NVIC_Init()HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(RTC_Alarm_IRQn); Where it finally crashes in the core_cm4.h /** \brief Get Interrupt Enable status \details Returns a device specific interrupt enable status from the NVIC interrupt controller. \param [in] IRQn Device specific interrupt number. \return 0 Interrupt is not enabled. \return 1 Interrupt is enabled. \note IRQn must not be negative. */ __STATIC_INLINE uint32_t __NVIC_GetEnableIRQ(IRQn_Type IRQn) { if ((int32_t)(IRQn) >= 0) { return((uint32_t)(((NVIC->ISER[(((uint32_t)IRQn) >> 5UL)] & (1UL << (((uint32_t)IRQn) &amp

I am trying to develop a product using the STM32WB5MMG.In the schematic of STM32WB5MMG, the pins PC5, PB10 and PB11 are connected to GND via 3.3pF (C7, C8, C9).Why are these pins connected to GND via 3.3pF (C7, C8, C9)?Does this mean that PC5, PB10 and PB11 cannot be used as IO pins?I want to assign PC5, PB10, and PB11 to remote control keys.

Hey buddies, I am working on STM2F103C8T6  microcontroller.  I am using LSI Clock of 40 MHz & using external clock of 36 MHz. I am trying to read the clock after power OFF & ON Low by using the following code(below) . Even though the 3.3v is detected on the VBAT pin, the clock in not getting updated during the power OFF. It is again reading from the previous stored value in the backup register. Pleas help me to resolve this issue.  / USER CODE BEGIN Header / /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * *******************

Hello,I am trying to run OEMiRoT on STM32H503 (NUCLEO-H503RB - MB1814B).I followed the instructions specified: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Security:How_to_start_with_OEMiRoT_on_STM32H503In step 6 ("Flash new User application in CLOSED state") after choosing option 1 ("Start Bootloader") in the terminal emulator, I cannot connect the board via UART/USB to the STM32CubeProgrammer.To connect the board via UART to the STM32CubeProgrammer I had to perform a reset (RESET button). However, I cannot connect the board to the STM32CubeProgrammer via USB (User USB connector - CN3). The board with the USB cable connected performs continuous restarts.

Hi,I'm evaluating the ISM330DHCX by connecting it on a board with a linux device (imx8) through I2C. (using the st_lsm6dsx - (compatible = "st,ism330dhcx") device.All of this seems to work out of the box, and I can read accelerations through IIO sysfs like so:  root@dev:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1# cat in_accel_x_raw 218 root@dev:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1# cat in_accel_x_raw 226 root@dev:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1# cat in_accel_x_raw 222 root@dev:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1# cat in_accel_x_raw 1105 root@dev:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1# cat in_accel_x_raw 210 root@dev:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1# cat in_accel_x_raw 220 root@dev:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1# cat in_accel_x_raw 226  These values also nicely change with the actual orientation. But, like in the snippet above, every once in a while, even while the device is stationary, we get a totally unexpected reading - an outlier. (In this case the 1105) I then

I am using st-flash version of 1.8.0 to flash the binary into Nucleo H563ZI. In this process i have used erase command "st-flash --connect-under-reset erase" to check whether the hardware works or not. For the erase command i got below error"st-flash 1.8.02024-07-31T16:31:55 WARN common.c: NRST is not connected2024-07-31T16:31:55 ERROR common.c: Soft reset failed: error write to AIRCR2024-07-31T16:31:55 ERROR common.c: Can not connect to target. Please use 'connect under reset' and try againFailed to connect to targetFailed to parse flash type or unrecognized flash type"I have also tried with st-link's git upstream master(1.8.0-39-gd7103ff) for testing yet the above error persists. I am using WSL2 on native windows machine.Does anyone has similarish or related issues for the STM32H563ZI target?

Hello I Want to configure HDMI support for stm32mp157f-dk2 board using Buildroot. I am actually able to run an application on display but I couldn't do it with HDMI.The version of buildroot i am working on is Buildroot 2024.05. Thanks in advanceSrikanth

Hi ,  I tested  example " I3C_Controller_Private_Command_IT "  with  Controller  H503RB board and  modified for JEDEC SMBUS for DDR5  ( JEDEC smbus is more simple than MIPI I3C ,No  DynAddrAssign function ,  Initially  I2C   after  CCC SetAASA ,  it change  I2C ==>  I3C )  1.  CCC SetAASA   is OK ,   When I  read   register address 0x1  with I3C  1byte private read ,   I3C read value is  not   what i want .  Read value is  pointing   register  address  0x0 value and  fixed .  I think  there is a stop bit  in  Read protocol  and  after Stop bit , Internal read pointer in my chip is cleared example an5879,  9.8 Private Read code ,  also  Stop Bit  in  I3C private Read  command  * It is JEDE

Greetings Everybody, I have Nucleo - F207ZG board. I have attached external 3.0 V coin battery to VBat and GND. I am configuring board for RTC peripheral. After configuring RTC time and again rechecking after 1 day the time starts to move ahead or time advances by few seconds. After 3 weeks RTC shows 15 seconds more than the actual time. Below is the code of main while loop   while (1) { if(_set_rtc_time) { RTC_CalendarConfig(); _set_rtc_time = 0; } RTC_CalendarShow(aShowTime, aShowDate); lcd_put_cur(3,0); memcpy(_BUFFER_0._BUFFER,(char *)aShowTime, 8); lcd_text_justify(&_BUFFER_0); lcd_send_string(_BUFFER_0._BUFFER_OUT); }   Below is rtc init code static void MX_RTC_Init(void) { hrtc.Instance = RTC; hrtc.Init.HourFormat = RTC_HOURFORMAT_24; hrtc.Init.AsynchPrediv = 127; hrtc.Init.SynchPrediv = 255; hrtc.Init.OutPut = RTC_OUTPUT_DISABLE; hrtc.Init.OutPutPolarity = RTC_OUTPUT_POLARITY_HIGH; hrtc.Init.OutPutType = RTC_OUTPUT_TYPE_OPENDRAIN; if((RCC-&gt

I am using two quadrature encoders through the STM32F411CEU6 timer encoder mode. Here is the graph for one of their CNT values:As you can see, it takes about 400ms to update the value, but when it does, it seems accurate. How can I make it so that it doesn't do this? Timer settings (the same for both):The PLL is at 98 MHz and it says the peripheral clocks are at 48 MHz, although I'm not sure if that's the right number to read. I've tried changing:- Encoder Mode- Input Filter- Some values of the Trigger Output Parameters, although not all of them I am positive that the encoders are hooked up correctly and I took a look with the oscilloscope and the signal looks good. I'm simply plotting htim3.Instance->CNT to make this chart.

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie working with STM32C031, setting up interrupt for user button (blue button) integrated on the board.I am using VS Code, GNU_ARM_GCC, and CMSIS. No hal.while setting up interrupts, interrupt priority, etc. , I am making use of CMSIS functions which use parameter IRQn_Type which defines interrupt numbers and defined interrupt number 4-15 as 7, which I do not understand.Why 7?How does shifting a "one" 7 to the left turn on interrupt 13, for example? /** \brief Enable Interrupt \details Enables a device specific interrupt in the NVIC interrupt controller. \param [in] IRQn Device specific interrupt number. \note IRQn must not be negative. */ __STATIC_INLINE void __NVIC_EnableIRQ(IRQn_Type IRQn) { if ((int32_t)(IRQn) >= 0) { __COMPILER_BARRIER(); NVIC->ISER[0U] = (uint32_t)(1UL << (((uint32_t)IRQn) & 0x1FUL)); __COMPILER_BARRIER(); } } typedef enum { /****** Cortex-M0+ Processor Exceptions Numbers *****************************

Hello @PatrickF ,Hope all is well.I need to access STGEN both in A7 core as well as M4 core. I have seen some previous posts related to STGENR register access.Credit to PatrickF for this code.#define STGENR_CNTCVL_OFF 0x0000 #define STGENR_CNTCVU_OFF 0x0004 #define STGENR_CNTCVL (*(uint32_t *) (STGENR_BASE + STGENR_CNTCVL_OFF)) #define STGENR_CNTCVU (*(uint32_t *) (STGENR_BASE + STGENR_CNTCVU_OFF))   uint32_t cntr_upper, cntr_lower; uint64_t cntr;   __HAL_RCC_STGENRO_CLK_ENABLE(); do { cntr_upper = STGENR_CNTCVU; cntr_lower = STGENR_CNTCVL; } while (STGENR_CNTCVU != cntr_upper);   cntr = ((uint64_t)cntr_upper << 32) + (uint64_t)cntr_lower;I did not implement the above code, but I was trying to see if I can read STGENR from A7 using Devmem2.I found STGENR_BASE from the manual which is 0x5A005000. I used devmem2 tool to read the lower counter (address offset = 0x0000) and upper counter(address offset = 0x0004)The devmem2 values for both are 0x0. I am n

I want to use my ADC of NUCLEO-H563ZI, but there is a problem with my ADC. ADC output does not match to input voltage. Test results are as fallows.I am using ADC2 IN1, IN2, IN3, IN5, IN6, all singled ended. And I am using 25MHz HSE OSC of NUCLEO-H563ZI instead of ST-LINK 8MHz output, and disabled ICACHE. Is there a problem with my ADC/Clock configuration settings?

Posted on April 26, 2018 at 09:34Hello all. My problem is as follows.I would like to set an event in the future, lets say 950ms, at one specific point in the code. Then I would like to set the STM32L432 in Stop2 mode, wake up the MCU near the event, lets say at 750 ms so it can wake up another device, and then do the task at 950ms.I thought that LPTIM can fire two interrupts, one related to HAL_LPTIM_CompareMatchCallback, and the other related to HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback.I setup an example to see how it would work.In CubeMX I configure LPTIM1 as 'Counts internal clock events', and choose LSE as the LPTIM1 clock mux. LSE frequency is 32768 Hz, and set div2 as preescaler. So each time interval is 61.035 us. In the setup I set 'update at the end of the period' and software as trigger.In the main function after setup all the peripherals, I call to HAL_LPTIM_TimeOut_Start_IT(&hlptim1, 65535, 16383);So I set up the period as 65535, so the autoreload should occur at 4s

Hello guys !I am new at the embedded systems and I am trying figure it out ! I am using STM32F446VET7.I connected my buzzer to an GPIO pin(PB12) which has no pwm speciliaties.But my buzzer is not working when I connected to the DC signal source like 5V. So I need an PWM kinda source.When I resarch I only found source codes for PWM Generation channels with Timer. My GPIO has no timer and I cannot change my design right now. Can I do the same job with Systick timer or something like that. I just need a 1 second beep sound, nothing more.Here is my design in hardwareand the datasheet of my buzzerDo I need to generate a signal with 50% duty cycle at a frequency of 2048 Hz, if you can just give me an idea, I can research and learn how to do it. Thanks

Hello, I am developing a custom image using the layer meta-st-stm32mp in the mickledore branch, until that point, there are no problems.The problem is, since I want ti install the meta-st-x-linux-ai layer, I need to install meta-st-openstlinux first, which has several layer dependencies such as meta-qt5, and other layers. The problem I am having is, once I add the meta-st-openstlinux, the process stops, it does not even initiallizes the tasks, because the parsing process does not succeed.This is the local.conf (I did not add the recipes because I thought maybe some of my recipes did generate the problem): # This file is your local configuration file and is where all local user settings # are placed. The comments in this file give some guide to the options a new user # to the system might want to change but pretty much any configuration option can # be set in this file. More adventurous users can look at # local.conf.sample.extended which contains other examples

Hello,I've successfully used the code below to enter shutdown on a U585CIUx. It wakes up on button press and I can tell it is coming up from reset because of timestamps (based on time since startup) and terminal output that only happens during startup.Using this same code on a U585QIIx, it seems to behave as if it has entered a low power mode, just not one as low power as shutdown. When it wakes up it picks up where it left off in terms of timestamps and it does not run through startup code as expected. I'm also measuring current draw during the so-called "shutdown" - it only goes 10mA lower, but there may be some interplay with battery backups that muddies up the reading.While I don't normally test this kind of thing with the debugger, since it affects power, I did make sure that it's reaching the call to LL_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_SHUTDOWN_MODE) and not going into some other mode.Is there something I'm missing here? It only starts drawing 10mA more current (back where it started
