I have a very generic question ,What happens if in an example for a different board . I just remove the BSP and instead add a BSP for a different board.

(was initially a reply to https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/store-values-in-internal-flash/m-p/666974 I am store variable in flash adders and after reset read but variable values is not store in flash adders.& using stm32g030f6p6 microcontroller and here is my code:-void flash unlock(void){ FLASH->KEYR = 0x45670123; FLASH->KEYR = 0xCDEF89AB;}  void Erase_Flash(void){ //HRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MICR |= 0x51;  /*clear pending bit*/ // HRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MDIER = HRTIM_MASTER_IT_NONE; /*DISABLE HRTIMER INTERRUPT*/    flash_unlock();   Delay(200);  /*if((FLASH->CR &0x80)== 0x80) {  flash_unlock();  delay2(200); }     else*/ {  SET_BIT(FLASH->CR, FLASH_CR_PER);      Delay(200);   FLASH->WRP1AR = 0x08000500;    Delay(200);&

I am use STM32L431RCT6，and my CubeMX config is this:And my code is:```uint32_t data = 128;ret = HAL_DAC_SetValue(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_1, DAC_ALIGN_8B_R, data);if(ret) {HAL_Delay(10);}ret = HAL_DAC_Start(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_1);if(ret) {HAL_Delay(10);}```And if my Trigger method use None, measure is OK(middle with VCC).I do not know why.

As the title says, I'm working with ecosystem 5 on a custom board with bootchain DTB files generated by CubeMX and modified according to lab material for the STM32MP1 workshop presentation "Lab-MP15_FromPartNumber_To_BasicDeviceTree_with_CubeMx.pdf". My high level goal is to build a bootchain capable of programming an eMMC via USB DFU.When I load the TF-A and then FIP that I've built via USB-DFU I get an OP-TEE panic:NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP153CAC Rev.ZNOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21INFO: PMIC version = 0x21INFO: Reset reason (0x15):INFO: Power-on Reset (rst_por)INFO: FCONF: Reading TB_FW firmware configuration file from: 0x2ffe2000INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_ioINFO: Using USBINFO: Instance 2INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1NOTICE: BL2: v2.8-stm32mp1-r1.0(debug):()NOTICE: BL2: Built : 15:37:50, Jul 29 2024INFO: BL2: Doing platform setupINFO: RAM: DDR3-DDR3L 16bits 533000k

Hello,I have a Segger J-Link to program the eval board EVLDRIVE101-HPD.I want to connect to ST Motor Pilot V1.2.9, but the software only looks for STLINK VCP.Is it possible to connect to the VCOM of the J-Link?Thanks

Hello everyone, I have had problems flashing a STM32F405 from a 3D printer board, I have not managed to flash via DFU and with a STLink-V2. Here is what I have done. - First, the board has a HID bootloader, which by connecting jumpers between BOOT0-3.3V and BOOT1-GND allows the board to enter DFU mode. With this, I managed to flash a bootloader for the connection of CAN accessories (Katapult - Canboot). After two unsuccessful attempts the bootloader was not operational.- Second, I again connected BOOT0-3.3V and BOOT1-GND, entered DFU and with STM32Cube I erased the whole chip to reprogram bootloader and firmware.- After the above, when reconnecting the board to the stm32cube with and without BOOT0-3.3V and BOOT1-GND connected the board fails to enter DFU.- Finally, I tried connecting a STLink - V2 clone, updated the firmware on it and tried to connect to the board, however I get the image error (DEV_TARGET_HELD_UNDER_RESET). The connection through STLink was tried with and without RST

I have an IOC for an STM32L433 that has TIM6 and TIM7 enabled, with interrupts enabled for both. In the NVIC settings for these two interrupts, I have deselected "Generate Enable in Init".However, when the code is generated, the interrupts are still enabled in Src/stm32l4xx_hal_msp.c.This seems like a bug.

Hello All,We are looking into testing our code that access the EDATA and handle FLASH ECCC (single bit error) and ECCD (double bit error). How can we simulate those errors? Is it possible to insert single bit or double bit errors using a JTAG? It would useful to test the code without modifying it.Any alternatives?

Where can i get the information about which interrupt is activated for each of those bits? How can such information be so hard to find? Cant find it on the ARM website! Just the information, that it shows activated interrupts, which is essentially useless... *facepalm*

Hello, I have been using the same cubeIDE debugger options for several months and have not had any major issues. However i recently updated to the latest macOS 15.0 release (not necessarily the cause, but it's the only change that comes to mind) and since then i've been getting the following error:I have reinstalled the stlink server as recommended in:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/st-link-server-is-required-to-launch-the-debug-session/td-p/69617and https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-boards-and-hardware/cubeide-does-not-see-st-link-server/td-p/149158This has not fixed it and the stlink-server appears to be installed properly as i can use it via the CLI. I have also tried reinstalling the cubeIDE and used different versions of the cubeIDE. Has anyone encountered something similar or have any idea on what this could be?EDIT:I can also host a server from the CLI and connect to it from the cubeIDE via the "Connect to remote GDB server" option.

I'm developing an application using the STM32U073RBT6. CubeMX configures USBX - CDC ACM based on Azure RTOS. How can I use the USB CDC stack of the STM32U0 series in standalone (bare-metal) mode? (or Is it possible to migrate the libraries from the previous L0 series?)

Hi All - minor issue I noticed earlier on a Nucleo H563ZI board when configuring the FDCAN filters. With asserts enabled, if I set the allowed maximum filters to a non-zero number and try to set a filter on a higher filter index, it raises an assert as expected.  But if the allowed number of filters is 0, it does not.I believe this is because the assert is implemented at line 1332 in stm32h5xx_hal_fdcan.c as:  assert_param(IS_FDCAN_MAX_VALUE(sFilterConfig->FilterIndex, (hfdcan->Init.ExtFiltersNbr - 1U)));  Init.ExtFiltersNbr is an unsigned integer, so (Init.ExtFiltersNbr - 1) as passed to the IS_FDCAN_MAX_VALUE test will be wrapped-around to a large number? This may be better implemented as:  assert_param(IS_FDCAN_MAX_VALUE((sFilterConfig->FilterIndex + 1U), hfdcan->Init.ExtFiltersNbr ));  Nic

Hi,are there some plugins, extensions of free linters that can be used with CubeIDE?If not, what are the best solutions?Thank you

I just spent several days (luckily not full time) failing to get a simple PWM output working.  I could get it working using the HAL drivers, but not able to get it working with the LL drivers.  After spending most of my time assuming it was user error I finally resorted to full register dumps of the Timer registers comparing the HAL code vs the LL code and found the discrepancy. In the LL-code, somehow the MX_TIM17_Init() generated by CubeMX clears the MOE bit in the BDTR register, disabling outputs even though I have break mode disabled in the UI.  Generating HAL code with exactly the same settings correctly sets the MOE bit. This seems to be a bug.  After isolating the issue, it was a simple case of adding the callLL_TIM_EnableAllOutputs(TIM17) ; to my code to enable outputs and all is well.  Double checking all the LL examples, there are no calls to the above routine, so don't think it is expected.Did I miss something somewhere or is this a CubeMX bug?wil

If I call HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_IT to receive 512 bytes, will it wait till all 512 bytes are received before calling HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback or could it possibly call it several times, delivering fragments of the whole packet?I'm asking because I see it getting called with smaller Sizes... and as far as I can see on my oscilloscope, there is no glitching in the stream being sent from the other device. No gaps or dropouts. There are some long sequences of 0x00 but they all have valid start and stop bits.If the defined behaviour is to call the callback only on IDLE or when the full specified size has been received, then I'll need to look elsewhere for the issue. I'm just trying to get some clarity on what this method could do.

Hi guys! I have a custom board with 2x CAN FD transcievers (TCAN1057) and STM32G0B1 MCU. Everything works fine until i try to use hardware filters build into STM32. Whatever i do, filters don't pass any frame to RxFifo0/RxFifo1. The only way to recieve anything is to configure global filter with FDCAN_ACCEPT_IN_RX_FIFO0 option. With code pasted below, HAL_FDCAN_IRQHandler  is never called. Temporary i used workaround with global filter and hardcoded frame ID check, but i would like to solve the issue anyway. Can someone give me some advice?   The code: https://pastebin.com/p7GVU1F7   BR. Łukasz

Hi,  I am currently working with the VN9D5D20FN and RL78, successfully controlling 4 channels at a 100% duty cycle, achieving a 12V output. Now trying to read the current sense value for Channel 1 with OUTCFGR1 configured to 0x9FE0 and a rheostat load applied. I've readed the ADC values from the ADC1SR register and measured current consumption with a clamp meter.   Could you please assist me with the following: How should I calculate the current value from the ADC1SR? What is the K value in the Iout_conv formula for each channel? Here are the ADC readings I have: ADC1SR = 0x0019 --> Current Value = ? ADC1SR = 0x001B --> Current Value = ? ADC1SR = 0x011C --> Current Value = ? ADC1SR = 0x021A --> Current Value = ? Thanks and Regards, Vennila

STM32G474In RM0440 Rev 8, page 641, I learned the "DMACFG bit" in ADC configuration register (ADC_CFGR) set the ADC in either one-shot mode or circular mode. But there is a separate mode setting in DMA which is also one shot vs circular mode. If we use DMA to ransfer ADC result to memory, I am wondering whether this is a legitimate use case that we set the ADC and DMA in different mode?

I am using 16 sensors for my project and I need to print the sensor number and the corresponding signal strength for a ML model, but I am missing a lot of values. Is there an efficient way to do this?

Greetings and thanks for reading.  FreeRTOS has a built in utility function uxTaskGetStackHighWaterMark() that reports on the amount of space unused by the stack.   You can use this function to gauge just how much of the stack is used and how close you are to corruption or conversely how much memory you are wasting.  Its a way of both preventing crashes (due to blown stacks) and simultaneous allowing you to optimize the size of the stack for applications that may be tight on memory.  Within the Azure ThreadX I could find no such function that will report such useful information.  Is there such a utility within ThreadX that I can call? Thanks,Hab

Hi, I am currently trying to set the data time of the can_fd function to 8Mbps for can_fd communication. However, when I set the data time to be 8Mbps, the communication does not proceed normally. When I set the data time to 1,2,4,5 Mbps, it worked fine, but why does it not work when I set it to 8 Mbps?I have attached the IOC file in the attachment.+ i already tried to change the data times into  5/4 , 6/3 but it didn't worked

Hello,I’m using the Developer package on the STM32MP157D-DK1. # cat /sys/kernel/tracing/available_tracersnop  What ways do I have to enable more tracers? Thanks

Hi! I am trying to run a simple blink example using the STM32L552 Nucleo board, but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help in figuring out what my problem is would be very helpful. I've tried looking at the data sheet to figure out what the SRAM-boundaries are etc, but I must have gotten something wrong.I am using the CMSIS stuff. The program is simply supposed to blink on of the LEDs, but nothing happens. Here is startup.c:   #define SRAM_START (0x20000000UL) #define SRAM_SIZE (32U * 256U) #define SRAM_END (SRAM_START + SRAM_SIZE) #define STACK_POINTER_INIT_ADDRESS (SRAM_END) #include <stdint.h> #define VECTOR_SIZE_WORDS 464 void default_handler(void); void reset_handler(void); void nmi_handler(void) __attribute__((weak, alias("default_handler"))); void hard_handler(void) __attribute__((weak, alias("default_handler"))); void mem_handler(void) __attribute__((weak, alias("default_handler"))); void bus_handler(void) __attribute__((weak, alias("default_handler

Hello, I want to write and read large size data to external QSPI flash memory. I worked on an external loader for Cubeprogrammer and small data reading, writing or flash deletion operations. But when I try to read bytes 0x400000 from address 0x00000000 for example, it doesn't work. Because RAM is not enough for this job.int Read(uint32_t address, uint32_t size, uint8_t* buffer)Cubeprogrammer is sending size 0x400000 and it is correct. But the buffer size is not enough. If the buffer is not enough for this job, I just want to split the size and buffer.Cube programmer reading -> 0x400000divide :int Read(0x00000000, 1024, buffer);int Read (0x00000100, 1024, buffer+1024);int Read (0x00000200, 1024, buffer+2048);can i do this? I don't want to use memory map mode because I don't want to use only the read function. Read, write, erase sector or flash, calculate crc etc. I want to use functions. see second picture 40000₁₆ = 262144₁₀ but cubeprogrammer sending max ram size value 221

Hello everyone I would like to ask about a warning on my STM32 hardware. I'm using an STM32F405 board that I designed myself. I use NUCLEOf334 as the debugger (ST_LINK). I make sure that I have removed all the jumpers on the nucleo so as not to interfere with the MCU on the nucleo. Now the problem is that when I use the debugger on the board that I have designed STM32f405, I check the ST-LINK with "Connection mode : Connect Under Reset" mode and it cannot produce a value in Device Memory with the warning"10:47:27 : Can not connect to target! If you are trying to connect to the STM32W1xx device, please select Normal or HotPlug mode from the Target->Settings menu.If you are trying to connect to a low frequency application, please select a lower SWD Frequency mode from the Target->Settings menu.10:47:29 : Core is hold in reset"The picture above is an explanation that after I tried the "Hot Plug" I was traumatized by connecting, because I had damaged 2 boards just because of this prob
