Hello,  I am trying to populate the EMMC on the STM32MP257F-EV1 development board using a USB connection and I am running into a strange issue. I am trying to download the file from this wiki: Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu and specifically trying to download "FlashLayout_emmc_stm32mp257f-ev1-ca35tdcid-ostl-m33-examples-optee.tsv". When I do this everything seems fine at first. But it looks like the download may be in an infinite loop. Here is what the Log said from when I started the download to when I stopped it: 09:58:50 : Number of partitions: 1409:58:56 : Start Embedded Flashing service09:58:56 : Memory Programming ...09:58:56 : Opening and parsing file: tf-a-stm32mp257f-ev1-ca35tdcid-ostl-usb.stm3209:58:56 : File : tf-a-stm32mp257f-ev1-ca35tdcid-ostl-usb.stm3209:58:56 : Size : 198.86 KB09:58:56 : Partition ID : 0x0109:58:56 : Download in Progress:09:59:04 : File download complete09:59:04 : Time elapsed during download operation: 00:00:0

I have a project using the STM32L031.  It's fairly simple and doesn't require DMA, probably doesn't even need interrupt processing (polling should be fine for what little UART traffic is planned). Is there a way to configure the project in STM32CubeIDE / CubeMX to not have HAL_DMA_MODULE_ENABLED active in the stm32l0xx_hal_conf.h file?  Just commenting it out causes a lot of breakage in the rest of the HAL libraries.   I am using UART, SPI, and I2C interfaces.  I would rather use the Flash space for text-based error messages than DMA code I will never call but I don't want to hack up the HAL library if there is a "proper" way to disable the DMA related code. I currently have 22kB of the 32kB in the part used but the HAL library is probably about 16kB of that.  I am not using a real-time supervisor (no FreeRTOS or ThreadX), just bare metal but with the HAL library.

Hello, I am trying to boot an EMMC with a USB on a STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and am having troubles. I set the boot pins to what is said in the data sheet for EMMC (That being Boot2 is set to 1 and the rest 0) The USB is no longer an option to connect to. (For reference I am trying to follow this wiki article: Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu but only using the EMMC instead of the SD Card). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am looking at the STM32U073x8/B/C Datasheet - DS14548 - Rev 2 - March 2024.   Table 12 on page 35 is a list of all the pins and which pin they are connected to on each package.   The row for VDDUSB does not have a pin listed for the UFQFPN32 package.   This contradicts Figure 3 on page 27. Which shows pi 17 as the VDDUSB pin. Is pin 17 VDD or is it VDDUSB?

Hello,I have been utilizing the OTG_HS peripheral on an STM32U5A5 to act as a USB host. I am using the USBx stack in a non-secure application and initializing the peripheral as follows: VOID USBX_APP_Host_Init(VOID) { MX_USB_HCD_Init(); ux_host_stack_hcd_register(_ux_system_host_hcd_stm32_name, _ux_hcd_stm32_initialize, (ULONG)USB_OTG_HS, (ULONG)&hhcd_USB_OTG_HS); HAL_HCD_Start(&hhcd_USB_OTG_HS); } void MX_USB_HCD_Init(void) { hhcd_USB_OTG_HS.Instance = USB_OTG_HS; hhcd_USB_OTG_HS.Init.Host_channels = 16; hhcd_USB_OTG_HS.Init.speed = HCD_SPEED_HIGH; hhcd_USB_OTG_HS.Init.dma_enable = ENABLE; hhcd_USB_OTG_HS.Init.phy_itface = USB_OTG_HS_EMBEDDED_PHY; hhcd_USB_OTG_HS.Init.Sof_enable = DISABLE; hhcd_USB_OTG_HS.Init.low_power_enable = DISABLE; hhcd_USB_OTG_HS.Init.use_external_vbus = DISABLE; if (HAL_HCD_Init(&hhcd_USB_OTG_HS) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } } void HAL_HCD_MspInit(HCD_HandleTypeDef* hcdHandle) { RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkIni

Hi guys, I m having an issue with my Nucleo F401RE. I m porting a code based on the use of SPI2 that worked very well on Nucleo G431RB. I made same setting on Nucleo IDE (see picture). After inizialization of periperhals NSS (Chip Select) goes to high and everithing seems to work fine until the first transmission:   void SPI_TX_16b(uint8_t* pdata){ HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, (uint8_t*) pdata, 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); };   Then the NSS goes down and stucked there forever. In the picture (yellow is clk, green is data out, and violet is nss).  Any ideas? Thanks

Hello ALL,ADC values when 2 channel are disturbed when used in STM32L071 board. i have tried changing the sampling time of channels still no difference the voltage at that pin is around 2.5 volt but the ADC value after conversion i am receiving is around 1100- 1200. i am not using DMA mode can anyone suggest me any other ways to rectify it? Thank you

I folloe the nucleo-h7s3l8 HID example to create my  project (by STM32Cubemx), But it is not work.Pc always didnt detect ny board.I trace code to here(like the picture) when I use debug toolIn my code ,the CAD_StateMachine_SNK run onec time and _handle->cstate is USBPD_CAD_STATE_DETACHED. It is wrongI think the USBPD_PWR_IF_GetVBUSStatus need to be called,but my peoject never process USBPD_PWR_IF_GetVBUSStatus. I dont know how to resolve this problem.Can anybody tell me how to do?Can tell me something that I need to fix my code or cubemx config ? My code is in the attach

Hi, everyone.I cut the stlink board from my Nucleo-F722ZE board.And I supplied 5V power through E5V of CN11 And JP3 was set to E5V.I confirmed that the PWR LED was on.But the embedded program did not run.I confirmed that this Nucleo-F722ZE board receives MCO input from the STlink board. But now there is no stlink board on my Nucleo.So, I decided to use the HSI clock rather than the HSE clock.I set "HSE not used" according to the manual. - SB148 and SB163 ON-SB112 and SB149(MCO) OFF-SB8 and SB9 removed And  I enabled HSI in cubeIDE's clock setting. My embedded program on my nucleo runs. But it stops at HAL_Delay().What part is the problem?Is the way I did it correct?

Suppose I define a global array called DATA in a .c file for an STM32F103 like so:#include ... uint32_t DATA[0x1000] = { // data goes here }; int main(){ // main }Questions.0) Where does DATA get stored? Flash or SRAM? Or somewhere else? (Is there somewhere else?)1) If it's stored in SRAM does that mean that SRAM is persistent storage?2) How can I control where it is stored? Eg. how can I store it at position 0x08004000 in Flash or at position 0x20004000 is SRAM?

I did not found the latest EMRT report. thanks!!!

Hi I am working on a own prototype.The issue facing is NRST pin pulled low once powered on.Actually it should give me 2V.MCU used is STM32G030K8.and also on checking the PCB tracking its fine .When we checked by removing the MCU chip NRST is 2.0v .What may be the reason ,PLease help

Hi everyone, I develop a asimmetric public/private key crypto scheme and then with simmetric derived ley establish a comms with HOST REMOTE  <-> [LOCAL HOST/STSAFE]. I generate with ephimeral slot with:ret_code = (int32_t)StSafeA_GenerateKeyPair(handle, STSAFEA_KEY_SLOT_EPHEMERAL, 0xFFFF, 1, (STSAFEA_PRVKEY_MODOPER_AUTHFLAG_CMD_RESP_SIGNEN | STSAFEA_PRVKEY_MODOPER_AUTHFLAG_MSG_DGST_SIGNEN | STSAFEA_PRVKEY_MODOPER_AUTHFLAG_KEY_ESTABLISHEN), STSAFEA_NIST_P_256, STSAFEA_XYRS_ECDSA_SHA256_LENGTH, &pointreprensentationid, &pub_cx, &pub_cy, STSAFEA_MAC_NONE); And then generate a PEM wich will be sended to REMOT HOST, in the next step receive PEM from the other extreme and extract XY ECDAS pair. How should i do if i want to set up a derived key and share it with the REMOTE HOST?. I cant find de Derive Key command in MW of STM CUBE MX pack, only find de EstablishKey command for SPL02 profile.

I'm using CubeIDE and I have PG10 configured as MCO output and I see nothing. Usually when I see this, there is a HAL enable command I missed, but I don't think there is in this case.  I've tried multiple clock sources and the pin stays at voltage high. I've checked on all the registers I know:GPIOG   MODER -> MODER10 = 0x2 (alternate function)   AFRL = 0x0   AFRH = 0x0 I suspect that having no alternate function set in AFR\L registers is what is not correctly set, but I don't see the mapping table mentioned in the reference manual:  "Refer to the “Alternate function mapping” table in the device datasheet for the detailed mapping of the alternate function I/O pins."What should these registers be set to for MCO and where is the mapping table?

Hello Everyone,Can anyone help me out !Currently, I am working with STW81200 RF Synthesizer Module by using the STM32 Controller. I have used STW81200GUI Tool for frequency generation. But I don't want to use the tool anymore. I want to write my own custom  library for frequency generation (50MHz-6GHz) .i.e., Custom Function to generate Ten 32-bit registers of frequency which is ranging from 50MHz t0 6GHz without using the Tool. But I don't know what are all the parameters to consider for frequency generation. Can you help me to create Ten 32-bit registers for frequency (50MHz-6GHz) without using the Tool.   regards,Tarun Bandari.

I have a STM32H745i that if I want to load the code by USB it works OK if the project is from STM32CubeIDE (1.16.0) but if the project is imported from TouchGFX it presents the following error when I want to load the code:   I read a post from someone who had this error but I don't understand the “ExtMem_Boot” step so I just set up the external loader but it didn't work. any idea what it could be?

Hello,I am planning to use the ST25DV04KC for a new project and am looking for a suitable development kit that allows testing of custom antenna designs. Could anyone suggest a good option?Kind regards

Hi guysI made a project with CubeMX for a STM32F334. This project built fine already multiplet times.Now, I get suddenly this error message:#error "Compiler generates FPU instructions for a device without an FPU (check __FPU_PRESENT)"As I said, the project was built fine most times, and in the SystemInit function in system_stm32f3xx.c, there is the fpu present check. I do not see any reason why this message comes up.As I looked for an explanation, I found someone whith this problem, and it seemed to be about wrong including order. If this is a reason: How can I ensure the right order?I already regenerated the code by CubeMX multiple times. If I accidently removed an include file or did other things wrong, I assumed that this will fix the problem, but it does not. Does anyone have any other ideas how to solve?Best regards

Hi,after upgrading the whole suite to last release (as 09-jul-2024), code generation breaks code in function MX_FLASH_Init (main.c file).If without condition is generated at line 19, no indentation on following block (which closes at line 53)./** * @brief FLASH Initialization Function * @PAram None * @retval None */ static void MX_FLASH_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN FLASH_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END FLASH_Init 0 */ FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef pOBInit = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN FLASH_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END FLASH_Init 1 */ HAL_FLASHEx_OBGetConfig(&pOBInit); if () { if (HAL_FLASH_Unlock() != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /* Option Bytes settings */ if (HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock() != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } pOBInit.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_USER|OPTIONBYTE_BOOTADDR; pOBInit.USERType = OB_USER_BOR_LEV; pOBInit.USERConfig = OB_BOR_LEVEL_4; pOBInit.BootAddrConfig = OB_BOOTADDR_NS0; pOBInit.BootAddr = 0x08000000; if (HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&pOBInit) != H

Hello everyone,I'm currently working with the STM32G474RE MCU and using a CANopen stack. I'm facing an issue where the Auto Bus-Off recovery isn't happening as expected.When there's a fault on the CAN bus, it correctly transitions to the warning state, then passive, and finally Bus-Off. However, after the fault is resolved, the bus should recover by moving from Bus-Off to passive, warning, and finally back to error-active, but this recovery is not occurring. The Bus-Off state remains even after the fault is restored.I am monitoring the protocol status using the HAL_FDCAN_GetProtocolStatus function from the HAL library, but the error counter doesn't decrement, and the flags aren't resetting as they should.Below is my CAN bus initialization and configuration routine:   void MX_FDCAN1_Init(void) { /* FDCAN1 parameter configuration */ hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1; hfdcan1.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1; hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_CLASSIC; hfdcan1.Init.Mod

Hello,i have question about external memory storage.Can be external serial memory used as a storage for Touch GFX images connected via standard SPI(MISO,MOSI, SCK and software driven NCS) to the MCU STM32F767 without FMC_NCS? Is it possible? Thanks

Hello,I hope you are well.I have a question about the certification of the “Programmable Bluetooth® Low Energy wireless SoC” from the “BlueNRG-LP” family: are they BQB certified?Thanks in advance

My MCU is the STM32H723. To save GPIO pins, I would like to use the following architecture:- Connect external HyperRAM and Flash to one OCTOSPI bus. - Use multiplexed mode to access OCTOSPIM_P1 and OCTOSPIM_P2.- Map external RAM and Flash to different addresses by memory mapped modeBased on the information from [this STMicroelectronics application note](https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5050-getting-started-with-octospi-hexadecaspi-and-xspi-interface-on-stm32-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf), it seems possible. Is that correct?Another question: After the memory mapped mode is enabled, the external Flash is read-only, but the external RAM is still readable and writable. Is that correct?

Hi,Could you help us to know the expected NFC waveform patten (modulation, how we can identify data (0 and 1s)) when reader (ST25R3916B) and tag (ST25DV04KC) communicate each other please? Please share some example waveforms so that we can understand and check/verify in our design.Thank you,Kiran
