Hello,To elaborate on what I mean and wondering about with the subject using an example:I am using one CubeIDE project to develop an application for two different hardware boards using the same MCU. Each of these boards have a CubeMX file associated with it since the pinout of the boards differ somewhat. But most of the functionality is the same between the boards, and they share the code on an application layer. I use ifdefs and build configurations to build the desired application. Right now, I have a double set of all TouchGFX related files, one in the CubeMX folder for HW1 and one for HW2, which are a complete copy of the other. I instead want to move this code to the application layer level since the code is the same, and changes to the GUI would be implemented to both hardware applications with one change. How would I go by doing this? Since the code generation is coupled tightly with CubeMX, can it even, somewhat easily, be done in a reliable way? I guess this som

Hello Dear Community,I am working on an HMI System and using STM32H7B0 with APS6404L-3SQR. I am able to do all operations including Write in Memory Mapped Mode but when I try to write 1 byte, It writes 8 bytes which is not what I expect.I have read many discussions here, but all say that this problem shouldn't appear for H7Bx Platform as it supports the Memory Mapped Mode in write. What do you think about this?@Alex - APMemory, Please do you have any clues here? This is my Code for the Memory Mapped Mode!SHIP_BoolSHIP_PSRAM_MMAP_Enable(){OSPI_MemoryMappedTypeDef sMemMappedCfg = {0};OSPI_RegularCmdTypeDef sCommand = {0};/* Read Sequence */sCommand.OperationType = HAL_OSPI_OPTYPE_READ_CFG;sCommand.FlashId = HAL_OSPI_FLASH_ID_1;sCommand.InstructionMode = HAL_OSPI_INSTRUCTION_4_LINES;sCommand.AddressMode = HAL_OSPI_ADDRESS_4_LINES;sCommand.AddressSize = HAL_OSPI_ADDRESS_24_BITS;sCommand.AlternateBytesMode = HAL_OSPI_ALTERNATE_BYTES_NONE;sCommand.DataMode = HAL_OSPI_DATA_4_LINES;sCo

This is a question about STM32CubeIDE.When creating a new STM32 project, you select the board, but is it possible to select the board again after customizing the auto-generated code for us?

Hi Community,During a project we are using the microcontroller STM32H7B0RBT6 with QSPI PSRAM APS6404L-3SQR , it works fine in indirect mode either in quad read and quad write, but the issue is with the write in memory mapped mode when trying to write less than 8 byte, one for example (*((uint8_t*) (0x90000010))=0x55;) the 7 others  bytes are zeroed it seems that the write accept only 8 bytes if the data is less than 8 the other bytes are zeroed as you can see :instead written 8 bytes (*((uint64_t*) (0x90000010))=0xA5A5A5A5A5A5A5A5ULL;) works fine !! Did someone face a similar problem could please provide some suggestions to do, thanks, Here I share the code that  I have used to  enable the memory mapped mode OSPI_MemoryMappedTypeDef sMemMappedCfg = {0};OSPI_RegularCmdTypeDef sCommand = {0};/* set command to write to qspi ram */sCommand.OperationType = HAL_OSPI_OPTYPE_WRITE_CFG;sCommand.FlashId = HAL_OSPI_FLASH_ID_1;sCommand.InstructionMode = HAL_OSPI_

Hello everyone, I bought a STM32H7S78-DK and I am having problems with it. After playing with it a bit, I decided to flash the original firmware which I can download from ST official site (the name of the project's folder is "STM32H7S78-DK TouchGFX Demo v1.1.2").There are two problems: 1) When I am trying to compile the application project, I have an error because there isn't an image needed by TouchGFX gui ( this issue can be resolved opening the project with TouchGFX and starting a generation code); 2) When I am trying to debug the application project, it get stuck on an address of bootloader's project (as you can see in the attached file). Do I need to configure something in the STCubeIDE? Thanks in advance

Hi!I notice one thing when I build my STM32MP151 custom board and implemented OpenSTLinux with my own .dtb and Linux kernel.I hade enormous issues to get a basic setup of STM32MP151 up and running with Linux. I found out that the Linux kernel is destroying the working queue, which results that the linux kernel halts.I have posted the working custom board for STM32MP151 project here. Give it a star so other knows that this is a working board for STM32MP151.https://github.com/DanielMartensson/STM32-Computer/ Question:When I comment this line in the file kernel/trace/trace.c, my board just works like a charm. So why is it that? I need to disable the destruction of the working queue eval_map_wp in order to make the board lose it's critical errors?  static int __init trace_eval_sync(void) { /* Make sure the eval map updates are finished */ if (eval_map_wq){ /*destroy_workqueue(eval_map_wq); */ } return 0; }   Feel free to download the gerber files and bui

Hello,I am looking for a chip to work in the modes (alternately):- card reading,- card emulation (tag). The device is intended for vending machines, so it is necessary for both Android and IOS smartphones to read the tag.Is the CR95HF chip suitable for this task?Best regards

Hello -I have the STM32MP257x-EV1 up and running the base image. I have included the layers for the Ethernet switch and TSN. I am trying to understand the embedded Ethernet Switch better. I am working with the assumption that I can plug in two endpoints to ETH1 and ETH3 with no interaction from the MPU and pass ethernet traffic (e.g., ping). But this does not work from the get-go. Is there something that needs to be done to enable it?

Hi,I am currently programming a custom PCB with a similar design to the SMARTAG1. I believe I have correctly enabled FTM and EH_MODE. I have populated the FTM with a test message and checked by reading it back via I2C. EH_MODE has been set to 0. When I tap my phone, however, NDEF is empty but I was expecting this to have my test message.Could I please get some clarification on what I am doing incorrectly? Also, I am assuming the ST25 would output whatever energy it harvests to V_EH and then execute my program. Please correct me if I am wrong.Thanks.

Hello,i want to start a Project based on Hands-on_WS_WBA55.ioc file, as descriped in STM32WBA5x Workshop - 4.But i only find on github the Hands-on_WS_WBA52.ioc file.Where can i download the file Hands-on_WS_WBA55.ioc?

Hi everyone,Looking at the Datasheet (DS) of the temperature sensor LMx35, I found that the equation on page 6  is wrong, in the sense that the subindex and '=' symbol are missplaced, and there is no reference of what does each symbol means.https://www.st.com/en/mems-and-sensors/lm235.html#documentation I'm pointing this out since I wanted to use this DS with students. The right formula can be found in another DS from another manufacturerHope this can be corrected soon in the update of the sensor DS Thanks

Motivation: Release a product (STM32F072RBT) with no buttons or toggles on the PCB and allow customers to flash and interact with their product over USB serial interface. Requirement: Keep BOOT0 held high so the STM32 is in DFU mode upon initial connection to computer. The computer software can either flash or leave immediately to 0x08000000 running the flash program. Issue: The DFU leave command does not work while BOOT0 is held high. Potential Solutions: Users have solved this issue on STMF4 products due to it having a Cortex-M3/M4 https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/leave-dfu-while-boot0-is-high-stm32f4/td-p/556307Uncommenting this line could potentially solve this on those products as well. #define USER_VECT_TAB_ADDRESS However I haven't found resources with a step by step solution for Cortex-M0 (STM32F072RBT)

Hi all,  I currently work on STM32F030K6 . I am working with a reed switch connected to pin PA8 (EXTI8). I havec onfigured the PIN like : "external Interrupt Mode rising/falling ....I need to perform an action on the rising edge AND on the falling edge. But since the switch is slow there are certainly bounces. What would be the good method to not detect the bounces.I tried to set a timer but it does not work. I tried to disable the interrupts but it does not work either.   I have create a test code like this.     while (1) { if (Bouton_WU == 1) // ILS { HAL_Delay(500); Bouton_WU = 0; Envoi_msg(); } if (test > 5) { test = 0; } }           void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { switch (GPIO_Pin) { case ILS_Pin: Bouton_WU = 1; test++; break; } }       I tried to use the function :  "HAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(EXTI4_15_IRQn);"   in several places in the code without succes. I

Hi,We are looking at the schematics of the EVB-VIC3DA (https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/evb-vic3da.html#cad-resources) and it looks like that the board could be powered at 1.8V but according to the datasheet the min recommended voltage is 2.97 volts. Why is there a 1.8V option for the eval board? Thanks.

Hi together,I have the STM32WB55CG on a custom PCB and plan to integrate it into a smart home Zigbee network, that uses a Tuya Gateway and is controlled by Smartlife app. I tried to use the project Zigbee_Find_Bind_OnOff_Router1 from the ST examples and hoped, it can connect to my network easily. About my Setup:Since my chip is another than the Zigbee Nucleo uses, I do not have access to the button pins, but at least I could solder the LEDs (red, blue, green) to the respective Pins.I am using Cube IDE V1.16.0 and Cube Programmer 2.17.0 to flash the wireless coprocessor. To connect my board, I am using the ST Link from an official Nucleo board as programmer.Scenario:After falshing the Example, I could not connect the board to my Tuya Zigbee network. My board shows a sequence with all LEDs (blue-blue/green-blue/green/red-green/red-red). From the docuementation I cannot understand what that means.Unfortunately, I do not have any Wireshark logs, but if you need a specific inf

Hi all,Currently i am stuck so i will try it here. Ive got custom board with 32L4R9 with LCD connected through FMC on bank 2, SRAM on bank 1 and QSPI.  The first problem is if i use any transition between screens i get a a new screen distorted by shifted every line from previous. This do not occur when transition effect is none.  Second and bigger problem is, that every time i click on button the picture on button is distorted same way. The behavior:https://youtu.be/E_HLBltoxFo?si=HB2uXv-tUfQ55lt8Any ideas? Btw ST, great idea to permit mp4 files on forum. Really "smart".

Hello team, which of the STM32 microcontroller is able to generate single trigger pulses in steps of 100ns +/- 10ns? Best regards,Jochen

Hi,I am using STM32F103C8T6 Blue pill board, STM32 CubeIDE 1.16.0, Build: 21983_20240628_1741 (UTC) on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS and ST Link v2 debugger. I am able to upload code, execute it and debug it via SWD.I am using CubeIDE's Pinout & configuration utility to configure peripherals and software modules. I want to add FreeRTOS to an empty project. Due to issue 189410 I have to revert Firmware package version to 1.8.5. If I select Firmware package version 1.8.5, I can enable FreeRTOS with CMSIS_V2 interface and generate and compile code successfully. For FreeRTOS to work, I enable USE_NEWLIB_REENTRANT in FreeRTOS advanced configuration tab, and also select a timer as Timebase source in SYS module. I tried selecting TIM1, 2, 3, 4 - all of them produce the same result. In RCC module I selected Crystal/Ceramic Resonator as HSE, in Clock Configuration I used default 8MHz as HCLK.If I try to run the generated code, execution halts in __NVIC_EnableIRQ() when SysTick Timer interrup

On https://st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeide.html the latest version (1.16.0) for STM32CubeIDE Generic Linux Installer i.e. STM32CubeIDE-Lnx no longer works.Where can I download this zip file alternatively or can someone provide me with this file? The both links to "Get latest" and to "1.16.0" are broken.Note: All other downloads work so far, older versions and other installers for Windows, Debian, Mac OS,...I only know, that specific file wasen.st-stm32cubeide_1.16.0_21983_20240628_1741_amd64.sh.zipwith checksum (SHA256):831522a542c162295336ea2ca93fc5793c2888e3a4f385b327b9dd88bc1bdd0fCan you confirm that this is no longer possible?73 Thomas

FreeRTOSConfig.h Core-Specific Issue in Core-Agnostic Library for STM32H755Description:I am developing a core-agnostic library for an STM32H755-based project, where the library will be linked into both the CM4 and CM7 projects. The library makes use of FreeRTOS, and I’m encountering an issue when including the `FreeRTOS.h` file in the library. Each core (CM4 and CM7) has its own `FreeRTOSConfig.h` file, which is specific to that core and is included by `FreeRTOS.h`. The problem arises because my library is being built independently and doesn’t know at build time which core it will be linked into. The `FreeRTOSConfig.h` file varies between the CM4 and CM7 cores, so when I include `FreeRTOS.h` in the library, there’s no clear way to handle the core-specific `FreeRTOSConfig.h` for each project. This creates a challenge because the library build cannot define core-specific information. My goal is to have a single version of the library that can be linked into both the CM4 and CM7 projects, wi

I have a touchGFX project (created using the STM32G071RB Nucleo AZ1 board setup) which, if run under debug (cubeIDE), will fail during SystemClock_Config(). This needs an external loader to program the external flash. If I perform a hardware reset the code runs fine. After a bit of debugging I have found that the problem appears to be with HAL_RCC_OscConfig(). The application is setting the clock to HSI with PLL. If HAL_RCC_OscConfig detects that HSI with PLL is already set then it only checks if the PLL is set correctly and fails with HAL_ERROR if it is not. It would appear that something (I assume the external loader) is also using HSI with PLL but with different PLL settings. So the application clock setup fails. If I do a hardware reset then the loader is obviously not used and the clocks are in the reset state so HAL_RCC_OscConfig works ok.To fix this I have set the clock source to HSI (no pll) before SystemClock_Config (eg RCC->CFGR = 0;) to force HAL_RCC_OscConfig to update the

Hello,We have been using multiple VL53L3CX sensors for some time but only using one zone. Now, we want to use all four of them but we are running into some issues: Specifically, we can only read one zone while the rest all return status 255. In addition to this, only one object is found which makes sense considering the status. But, as said before, we need to use all the zones. The issue that we have is very similar to this thread but sadly it was not solved. So, is there any procedure, configuration or calibration that we need to do before attempting to use the rest of the zones? Our setup consist of an Arduino Due connected to the sensor and we do the following to initialize it:  (void)VL53LX_WaitDeviceBooted(&dev); (void)VL53LX_DataInit(&dev); (void)VL53LX_SetDeviceAddress(&dev, address); Then, to get the measurements the following is done: ToFLateralStartNext(&ToFLat2_t); ToFGetLateralMeasurement(&ToFLat2_t, 2); Where void ToFLateralSta
