Solved

Hello,I have made several tries but non of them could possible solve my problem. In an STM32F030K Series, so Single Bank Flash memory, I am trying to have Flash Operation and UART module works together under the same build.I know that Interrupts during Flash Erase-Write operation are creating troubles to the stability and creating HardFault Error for sure.In order to avoid this behavior I have tried all the following methods in order to prevent HardFault Error BUT non of them worked.Method 1:   HAL_UART_DeInit(&huart1); __disable_irq(); /* Disable Global Interrupts */ HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); /* Unlock the Flash to enable the flash control register access */ Flash_ErasePage(FLASH_USER_START_ADDR); /* Erase 1 complete memory page */ Flash_ProgramPage(FLASH_USER_START_ADDR,EE_CacheTable); /* Program 1 complete memory page */ HAL_FLASH_Lock(); /* Lock the Flash to disable the flash control register access */ __enable_irq(); /* Disable Global Interrup

I am in work with a product firmware with STM32G030k8 with additional EEPROM M24C04 I coudlnt ble to instal the driver files . Is this the righ tway am doing, can any one please address this?I am not able to hightlight or install Thanks.

hi I use touchgfx 4.24 , STM32CubeIDE 1.16 and STM32cubeMX 6.12 I do a project with touchgfx, I import it on cubeide, no problems to launch it on the card (STM32F769I-DISCO) I make a modification ( uart 5) on the file ioc and the bilioteque (newlib rentrand) as requested by CubeMX. When I launch after compilation I have an error, of type MemManage_HandlerI do not see mistake that I could have comeate.Who can help me? thank

Hi,I have Motor Control Nucleo Pack P-NUCLEO-IHM03 that includes Controller Board NUCLEO-G431RB, Inverter Board X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1 and a Gimbal motor GBM2804H-100T.Could you please provide the informations regarding:1. What are the software tools need to be installed for this set up ?2. Does the tool provide any Graphical representation of real time data while running the motor ?3. Is there any sensors supported by this inverter board/motor ?4. Is there any other expansion boards/Motors that can be used with this evaluation kit ?Thank you for any help.

DEar forum I'm designing a system to use a quad spi memory for log purposes. And I see that the L412R8I only features qspi bank 1 on AF10Bank 0 is missingIs it okay? I'd only use it by indirect access, because the memory is to be read and written Are there code examples for this chip?CheersIgnacio

Hi everyone,I recently started programming STM Microcontrollers. I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.13.2 to setup my project.I want to build a modular software, where some necessary peripherals are initialized from beginning and others are initialized dependend on my build variables.I was using STM32CubeIDE to setup the project and initialize the peripherals in the .ioc file. That worked well! The reason I want to build a modular SW is because I also have a modular HW. Sometimes I want to use the same pins for different purposes dependent on my build variables. That is why I want to reset every pin I do not necessarily need from the begining. My problem is occuring when generating the code. The code generation does not only add or delete some code as I configure. It does also delete the HAL drivers if a module is not used. For example if I deactivate ADC it deletes the HAL drivers for adc even if I define them as enabled in the user code space of "stm32l4xx_hal_conf.h". How can I prevent the code

I am debugging an application for an STMF103RCTX Using STM32CubeIDE and an STLINK v2 debugger. This is my usual combination of tools and my usual hookup.I find that I can start a debug session and step into main() and even step over anything befoer HAL_Init(); but as soon as I hit that the begugger connection fails.I've made a short video showing this issue: My hookup from the STLINK to the device is as follows:STLINK --->  DEVICEPin 2 VCC ---> VCCPin 4 GND ---> GNDPin 7 TMS/SWDIO ---> PA13/TMS/SWDIO (46)Pin 9 TCLK/SWCLK ---> PA14/TCLK/SWCLK (50)Pin 15 --> RESET ---> nRST (7) Any ideas? (The app runs perfectly when not trying to debug it)

I am using FW_F7_V1.17.2 on STM32Cube to configure USB HS Device as a CDC. We are running with FreeRTOS and FatFS on a custom PCB.  The external Phy is a USB3300.  I am using MDK 5 IDE.The STM32 is connected to a Windows 10 host, using a simple protocol to transfer data.  When receiving, the host sends blocks of ~1kB of data and the STM32 responds using a short reply packet of 3-4 characters.  This works well initially, with good data throughput for maybe 180 blocks or so.  The system then stalls because the Windows side is not getting replies. The reason for this is that CDC_Transmit_HS() returns USBD_BUSY continuously, because the flag TxState is non zero.  Once in this state we are stuck.  USB data can still be received, but we cannot transmit.  There appears to be a bug in the ST USB Device stack, because this flag is not cleared by disconnecting USB, which I would have expected to reset the stack. Now TxState is cleared in USBD_

I have two stm32wb5mmdk which I tried to create a custom BLE MESH but failed miserably . I am trying to use zig-bee to send data from one to other , and then transfer the same data to a mobile phone using BLE.Is there an example or MOOC available for the same. I am aware about the example given for wb55 NUCLEO board but due to lack of IOC file I don't know how to configure it for stm325mm dk

Hello everyone,I am experiencing an issue with my stm32H735 microcontroller after enabling RDP level 1. The program that was working perfectly (blinking led) under RDP level 0 no longer executes after I changed the protection level to 1.What I have Tried: I activated RDP level 1 using 3 different methods, and the issue remains the same each time:1 - using STM32_Programmer_CLI with the following command: STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=COM7 br=115200 -rdu STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=COM7 br=115200 -e all -w test.hex -ob RDP=0xBB -v 2 - Using the STM32CubeProgrammer GUI to set RDP level 1 after programming.3 - through the program by adding this code:  FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef RDP_init; HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock(); HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); RDP_init.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_RDP; RDP_init.RDPLevel = OB_RDP_LEVEL_1; HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&RDP_init); HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch(); In all cases, the programming and verification are succesful, and RDP level 1 is activated wit

Hello Team,  We are using STEVAL-SPIN3204 eval kit to drive our BLDC motor .please guide us what setting need to be selected in motor control workbench to drive motor in open loop mode using hall sensor, and how to control speed and direction also. What is maximum speed board can support , our motor max speed is 40krpm.   regards,Sayali

Hello everyone,I sent the data by UART with command:uint16_t Size[8];HAL_UART_Transmit_IT(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, const uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size)Question: Size on this command is 16 bytes or Size is 8 data elements of array?

Hello,I'm commucating two STM32 F4 boards  using SPIThe first board is configured as a Master and used to only transmit data   #define message_tx_size 4 uint8_t message_tx[message_tx_size] = "ABCD"; .... int main(void){ while (1){ HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi1, message_tx, message_tx_size, HAL_MAX_DELAY); } }  The second board is configured as a Slave and used to only receiver data   //main.c #define message_rx_size 4 uint8_t message_rx[message_rx_size]; int main(void){ while (1){ if ((1 == msgRX)){ //Process the message msgRX = 0; } else if (0 == msgRX){ msgRX = -1; memset(&struct_example_data_rx, '\0', size_of_struct_example_data); HAL_SPI_Receive_DMA(&hspi1, (uint8_t *)&struct_example_data_rx, size_of_struct_example_data); } HAL_Delay(200); } } //stm32f4xx_it.c extern volatile int msgRX; void HAL_SPI_RxCpltCallback(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) { if(hspi->Instance == hspi1.Instance && -1

I recently started getting the following error when trying to program my nucleo-32 L432KC board:   Error in final launch sequence: Failed to execute MI command: target remote localhost:61234 Error message from debugger back end: localhost:61234: Connection timed out. Failed to execute MI command: target remote localhost:61234 Error message from debugger back end: localhost:61234: Connection timed out. localhost:61234: Connection timed out.   I have tried using the cube programmer to erase the flash memory, but when trying to connect with "Mode: Normal", I get an error: "Error: ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_HELD_UNDER_RESET)". When changing the Mode to "Hot plug", I am able to connect to my MCU, but the "Full chip erase" operation gives me the error: "Error: Mass erase operation failed. Please verify flash protection".Does someone have an idea what could cause this? Programming the MCU worked just fine a day ago.

I have an L432KC and to test it, I created a simple blinking program which I uploaded via USB, which works just fine. When connecting my MCU to my external 5V power supply though, my program does not run. Looking at some posts, I found people suggesting to pull down the Boot0 pin to ensure that it loads the user program, I am not able to find the Pin name on the board of the Boot0 pin of the L432KC though.I'd appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, after updating to STM32CubeIDE 1.15.0 with H7 Package 1.11.1 H7 ADC3 does no longer offer selection for Temperature Reference, VBat and Vrefint Channels. Screenshot was made with V1.14, missing selections are marked : - ] Best regards, kdh

Hi Guys,is it possible to configure a peripheral in CubeMX without assigning all the pins (usually) required for that peripheral. This is a quite typical scenario, if a peripheral is used other than originally intended.E.g. I like to use I2S for efficiently and precisely generating the DATA signal for WS2812's or similar addressable LEDs. In this scenario only the I2S_SD line is required and I don't want to "lose" the additional pins by configuring them as I2S pins. But if I give one of the I2S pins another function, it will automatically disable the peripheral. Is there a way around this except for configuring the peripheral manually?Cheers,D.Frejek

Is there anybody who have a copy of that old ('80) sound generator, marked by SGS, used in some old italian keyboards like the GEM ones? I have references only for the M114A, but that is bigger (48 pin against 40 pins) and seems to be a bigger version of my M114B1 (less ROM memory). Thanks to anyone,

Hi STM team,I want to use CAN standard and extended protocol both in a single project is it possible?Regards, Em

Hi,I am currently working on a project where I have to develop the firmware for the BLDC motors used in our device. I have been struggling to use this board along with the MCSDK as advertised. I want to get started by sending data over USART1 (open from a tool like Ucon or Putty) which can control the motor in a way similar to the MC Pilot. I am aware of the use of DMA over UART using the HAL library but I am trying to use the MCPS & ASPEP protocol that is already implemented. For example when I type in START_MOTOR from the putty console, the motor starts.I have looked through the code that was auto-generated and found that the Systick IRQ calls the MC_Scheduler which checks the rxBuffer & calls the MCP_ReceivedPacket.I am not sure how my typed command will be processed. I tried using the HAL library functions but I don't see any response from the motor or the states changing from IDLE.

Hello I want to access the NDTR value, and I'm porting the user codes from ARM KEIL to STM32CubeIDE.When I used ARM KEIL, I was able to access the NDTR value, but now I'm using STM32CubeIDE and I cannot access it.currently, I don't know where the issue is in the user code, and I assume to issue with Instance declaration, but I declared Instances such as huart1 and hdma_usart1_rx.Any help is greatly appreciated! Friendly regards, Tau # Declaration of instances# Error

Hi ST, Please note that at https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-h7a3zi-q.html#cad-resources your design files: https://www.st.com/resource/en/board_manufacturing_specification/mb1363_bdp.zip are incorrect. The Altium project for the schematic is for the H745ZIT6U which instead should be for the H7A3ZI. Could you please fix these files so they are correct? Thank you

This is a question about STM32CubeIDE.When creating a new STM32 project, you select the board, but if I select STM32F412 and edit the program, can I operate the STM32H743 microcontroller?(We will adjust the pin configuration accordingly)

Hi, I need to use the MCP79410 rtc (or alikes: DS1307, PCF8583, etc) but the STM32CubeIDE I2C seems that can't handle the read/write protocol for these devices. For example, as the below image shows, one needs to send the control byte (writing) followed by the address byte and, without emitting the stop signal, but a start instead, to send the control byte again, but for reading, and finally the stop signal: I'm using the HAL_I2C_Master_Receive() function:   ret_val = HAL_I2C_Master_Receive( &hi2c2, 0x6f<<1, mytime, 3, 1000 );   It's obvious that this function alone can't handle the rtc protocol and my question is: which STM32 I2C HAL function, or function combination, should I use to comply with such protocol? Any ideas or an example?   BTW, I2C is working because I can see both signals, SDA and SCL in the oscilloscope. The uC is STM32L073. It includes a RTC, but for the current application I need to use an external one (the project is power hungry, and this

I'm not much of an avid reader, but does this say what I think it says? When a channel x is programmed for a block transfer in memory-to-memory mode, rearbitration is considered between each single DMA transfer of this channel x. Whenever there is another concurrent active requested channel, the DMA arbiter automatically alternates and grants the other highest-priority requested channel, which may be of lower priority than the memory-to-memory channel. Does this mean that if I have a memory-to-memory DMA channel and a memory-to-peripheral DMA channel, the DMA arbiter will ping-pong back and forth between the two channel's transfers if their requests are activate at the same time? Even if the memory-to-memory channel is of higher priority than the memory-to-peripheral channel? Or am I misreading this?If I am right, why treat memory-to-memory specially?
