Hi, I'm trying to use the LPS28DFW in one shot mode and there seems to be a discrepancy between the devices functionality and the application note. From an5758 section 3.2 - one shot mode: "One-shot mode has to be executed while the device is in power-down mode by setting the ONESHOT bit (default value 0) in CTRL_REG2(@11h) to 1. When this happens, a single data acquisition is executed and read data are made available in the output registers. Once the acquisition is completed and the output registers updated, the device automatically enters again power-down mode and the ONE_SHOT bit is self-cleared (to 0)"Based on this I set CTRL_REG1 to 0x03 (power down mode, 32 sample average) and CTRL_REG2 to 0x41 (4096 full scale, one shot enabled). I then poll the value of CTRL_REG2 to wait for the one shot bit to be self-cleared to indicate the acquisition is complete and read out the sample. However the first reading of CTRL_REG2 is 0x40 (one shot bit cleared), even with almost no delay. This mean

Hi!I have created a few projects to practice working with the STM32H series. Then, I selected SPI or I2C and used GPDMA linked-list. According to many tutorials, I should have gone to the utilities folder to configure GPDMA, but such a folder did not exist. I performed this on two PCs. CubeMX is up to date. Janusz

Hello, A small disclaimer before beginning, this is my very first project on STM32, and my experience (currently being a student) with embedded systems as a whole is quite limited, so if I omit any important information, please indicate it for me. I'm currently trying to familiarize myself with the Nucleo-FR446RE, building the project seems to go on pretty nicely, but whenever I try to debug the code in order to flash it on the FR446, I get the following error : Problem during debugging (1) More specifically I get the following error related to the failure to erase the memory : Debugging error (2) Other, maybe unrelated potential solutions that I've tried would be :  Use STM32CubeProgrammer in order to verify the flash memory protection, I have correctly disabled the protection The ST-LINK firmware is up-to-date (tried downgrading it as well) I have replaced the cable numerous times, and verified the correct placement of jumpers on the board Tried debugging on an e

I have been trying to port touchscreen with Stm32mp157c-dk2 without success. Actually, touchscreen has 15 pins but Stm32 has 20 pins and I handled the unmatched pins on Stm in logical way. Rest of the pins match but no screen seen. Do I have to make adjustment in the SW side? Best regards,Halil

Hello To receive various Interrupt events how INT1 and INT2 Pins of LSM6ds3tr need to be connected with Microcontroller ?My assumption is INT1 and INT2 pins need to be connected with microcontroller GPIO pins and GPIO pins has to be configured to catch IMU Interrupt events. Please Support whether this assumption is correct or not.

Hi Gfx Team,Could you please implement drag&drop as an alternative to open a project.touchgfx ?Thank you

Hi,I'm working with L6472 (custom shield) with an NUCLEO-H563ZI under zephyr OS.I'm facing out some issues with reading the register ABS_POS. I send  Goto command to the driver to move it from initial position 0 to position 3200. After the command is sent, the motor start moving to the good position but when I read ABS_POS register the driver send me the position 3072.After multiple try, I notice that when the bit 7 (that represent 2^7 = 128) of the desired position is high the ABS_POS doesn't contains the correct value. Even if I write  directly on the ABS_POS, when I read data this is not the good value.I attach my code and a screenshot to make sure you understand what I'm doing.  /*Get innitial position position*/ int32_t AbsPos = l6472_GetAbsPos(); printf("\033[0;33mInitial position: %d (hex = 0x%X)\033[0;37m\r\n", AbsPos, AbsPos); /*First move going to ABS_POS = 3200 steps from ABS_Pos = 0 steps */ posSend = 3200; l6472_GoTo(posSend); while (end != true

We are considering transferring power along with NFC communication using the ST25R3916 chip. From one of the application notes, we found the following block diagram, as shown in the image below. According to the diagram, the power amplifier is placed in cascade with the matching circuit.Could you please point us to relevant documents to help us design a power amplifier according to our requirements?

I have seen a lot of videos on YouTube where STM32N6 demonstrates incredible AI features such as multiple pose estimation, multiple object detection and multiple object classification at the same time. But I haven't seen anything similar for STM32MP257. So my question is: If I want to start with AI on embedded systems, which one of them two should I use?

Hello everyone,I'm trying to interface a microSD card using FileX on a custom board with an STM32H747IIT6.The microSD card is connected to the SDMMC1 peripheral using a 4-bit wide bus, with external pull-ups on the data lines.Initially, we used FATFS to interface with the microSD card, which worked flawlessly. Now, as we transition to Azure, we want to use FileX. Additionally, we are using NetXDuo to create a web server, with the SD card serving as storage for web server files. The issue occurs when calling fx_media_open (app_netxduo.c, line 522), which almost always returns error code 0x90 (except for a single successful attempt going step by step via the debugger).Current Configuration:SDMMC1 pin speed: mediumSDMMC1 peripheral clock: 40 MHz, scaled down to 10 MHz using a divider (set to 4)SD card: SanDisk 64GB, formatted in exFAT (exFAT support is enabled)Troubleshooting Steps Taken:Adjusted clock speed via divider (1–40 MHz)Changed pin speed (medium, high, very high)Tested different

Edit by ST Moderator: This post has been translated from Chinese to comply with the ST Community Terms and Conditions (§10.2). When I burned the Bluetooth protocol stack onto the new chip, my code was not executed efficiently and the Bluetooth broadcast was not enabled. I checked the documentation and found that the protocol stack needs to be started, but the corresponding buttons in my STM32Programmer are greyed out. I would like to know how to solve this problem.

I went through the ST External QSPI Loader how to and have verified my quadspi.c/h driver is good with the Winbond W25Q64 flash part we are using.  However after I create the .stldr and load it into the STM32 Programmer it will not read from the flash...get Error:data read failed.  I've attached the project if someone could help me out with what could be wrong?

Hello,I'm trying to make an OnOff Switch emitter using zigbee on the STM32WB55 Nucleo Board. I started my project from the Zigbee_OnOff_Client_Distrib applications exemple. The receiver that I use is not made to send back APS ACK. Because of this I add problems with Toggle command on the OnOff ZCL Cluster because the emitter was sending frame retries.I figured out that I could disable Ack requirement in the APS Frame Control usingzigbee_app_info.onOff_client_1->txOptions &= ~(ZB_APSDE_DATAREQ_TXOPTIONS_ACK);after cluster allocation. Now, my problem is with the Zdo. In the find and bind process, I send a Simple Descriptor Request:// /** Simple_Desc_req */ // struct ZbZdoSimpleDescReqT { // uint16_t dstNwkAddr; /**< Destination network address */ // uint16_t nwkAddrOfInterest; /**< NWKAddrOfInterest */ // uint8_t endpt; /**< Endpoint */ // }; // Request simple descriptor struct ZbZdoSimpleDescReqT req_simple_desc; req_simple_desc.dstNwkAddr = zigbee_app_info.SW1_endpo

Hello, I am working on a product with dual banks enabled. In each banks, there are one bootloader and application. In bank1's bootloader, if new application arrived, it will update bank2's application and then reset and boot from bank2. I meet a problem that the boot from bank 2 is not saved after power off. The code always boot from bank 1, after it lost power. In design, it should boot from the same bank as previous, while there is no firmware update. Attached my code for setting OB_BFB2_ENABLE after firmware upgrade.Thank you for assistances. Melfice

Hi.I'm using a STM32U5A5 MCU to communicate with a FLASH device through OCTOSPI.Flash is connected to port P1, and all signals are controlled by OCTOSPIM / OCTOSPI1 MCU hardware.I'm sending command "0x06" = WRITE_ENABLE, and after that I need to check that bit "WEL" (Write Enable Latch) is set in STATUS register. Nothing exotic here, just regular FLASH operations.Reading device status register is performed by sending command "0x0F" = GET_FEATURES with 8-bit address 0xC0 = "STATUS". Device will ouput STATUS value on the next 8 clocks. What I see is that function HAL_OSPI_AutoPolling() seems to be reading 1 extra byte :The first 06 command is my WRITE_ENABLE command on 8 clocks. The next 0F C0 command is isssued by polling. Note the 2 bytes "02 02" in output. Polling stops immediately because condition is met. Total is 32 clocks, while it should be 24 clocks only.If I don't use HAL_OSPI_AutoPolling() but HAL_OSPI_Receive() to manually read once the STATUS register, I have the expected sign

STM32L151RET6Is the RTC affected by the microcontroller reset? The system is placed in stop mode and is reset every 2 seconds by the watchdog. After 24 hours of operation, I find a delay of approximately 20 seconds. If I do not use stop mode and let the system run normally, these delays do not occur. It behaves as if the microcontroller reset affects the RTC.Has anyone else encountered this situation?

I want to download other versions of STSW-IMG019 software, how can I download it?At present, the official website can only download the final version

Hi,I ported example projects from en.x-cube-safea1\project\NUCLEO-L476RG for MbedTLS cryptolib for use on my B-U585I-IOT02A Discovery Kit. The STSAFE-A110 is powered correctly and NRESET is pulled high. It never errors on writes to the device, but all reads that execute the StSafeA_Receive function in stsafea_service.c return STSAFEA_COMMUNICATION_ERROR. In fact, it's very specifically always happening here (code snippet below) where after calling StSafeA_ReceiveBytes and getting STSAFE_BUS_OK, it is masking the header value with the inverse of STSAFEA_CMD_HEADER_RMACEN which always turns STSAFE_BUS_OK (0x00) to 0x01 which is STSAFEA_COMMUNICATION_ERROR. Any idea what I could be doing so that I can get past this? Thanks!if (status_code != STSAFEA_BUFFER_LENGTH_EXCEEDED){if (status_code == (StSafeA_ResponseCode_t)STSAFEA_BUS_OK){status_code = (StSafeA_ResponseCode_t)(uint8_t)((uint8_t)pTLV_Buffer->Header &~(uint8_t)STSAFEA_CMD_HEADER_RMACEN); <---- ***

Hi, I'm trying to get the VL6180 Time-of-Flight (ToF) proximity sensor working with the SAM E54 Xplained Pro evaluation kit. Hardware Setup: Board: SAM E54 Xplained Pro Sensor: ST VL6180 ToF Module IDE: MPLAB X v6.10 (Linux x64) Connection: I2C + GPIO Current Status: SERCOM3 is connected to SDA on PA2 and SDL on PA23 The external interrupt (GPIO 1) is connected on PB08 GPIO 0 is connected on PB09 Using the VL6180X API (v2.3.1) Goal: Get the VL6180 working via I2C Operate the sensor in interrupt mode to read sensor data I attempted to use the VL6180X API (v2.3.1), but it needs to be ported to the SAM E54. I'm struggling to understand: Which parts of the API need modification for the SAM E54? How to correctly implement I2C communication with the VL6180 using the API? How to configure and handle interrupt-based operation on the SAM E54? Are there any example projects or resources that could help with this setup? Any help or guidance would be greatly a

Hello,i am wondering why i can't find any information how fast the different SRAMs are.For Flash you have to configure waitstates, to setup the speed according to the CLK, but not for SRAM.I guess, because there is a dCache installed, the SRAM does not support full speed access or single cycle access. So the question is, how fast is the SRAM? best regards

hi there,i'm currently working on a project with the STM32WB1MMC, which is (as far as i know) based on a STM32WB15CCY.in final configuration there should be 9 services (incl. GAP and GATT) with all in all 17 characteristics.in now configured my 5th own service and encountering the following log outputi saw in the code that error 0x98 means BLE_STATUS_OUT_OF_MEMORY.after some recherche this leads me to the assumption that the gatt db size may be too small for my needs.now my question: what possibilities do i have to get my BLE configuration into this module.i tried increasing CFG_BLE_NUM_GATT_SERVICES, CFG_BLE_NUM_GATT_ATTRIBUTES and CFG_BLE_ATT_VALUE_ARRAY_SIZE but i can not add the desired services.in some cases the module does not even start.how can i determine the macimum VALUE_ARRAY_SIZE?is it possible to give the module more ram for holding the gatt database?thank you for your helpgreets peter

Using Workbench 6.3.0.Creating an "inverter" board for a custom board which uses a 25MHz crystal. Only 8, 24, and 48 MHz crystals are offered in the dropdown. Can I edit JSON file to "clocksource": "25_crystal"? If not can I edit the CubeMx clock? Can MCSDK firmware be made to work correctly with a 25MHz clock?
