Hello,I have a question that is completely unrelated to STM, but I believe you can help me.I would like to advise why I cannot use the following code and the message multiple definition comes out.I will reduce the code to the necessary minimum.I thought local variables in files only have local effect, can someone explain this to me?Thank youmain:#include "A.h"#include "B.h"void main() {}A.h:---------A.c:#include "A.h"int i;----------B.h:----------B.c:#include "B.h"int i;

After a day of debugging, apparently HRTIM has minimum CR values, this means im not able to trigger any CR event close to the 0% of my scale, in my case this translates to a discontinuity in the lower end of my phase shift control. Is there any way around this? reading RM0364 page 842 Discussed 10years ago here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32f334-hrtim-with-bad-behavior/td-p/409531

Hi everyone,I’m currently working on an STM32F767ZI Nucleo board and trying to configure the Ethernet middleware. I’m new to STM32 Ethernet and LWIP, so I’d appreciate some guidance. Here’s what I’m looking for help with:Ethernet Middleware Configuration:How to properly set up the Ethernet middleware using STM32CubeMX.Steps or tips to enable and configure LWIP for basic functionality.Best practices for initializing the MAC and PHY layers.RCC and Clock Settings:What are the correct RCC configurations for the STM32F767ZI to ensure Ethernet works properly?Any specific settings for the HSE, PLL, or system clock frequency that I need to pay attention to?I’ve already started with STM32CubeMX and enabled the Ethernet peripheral, but I’m not sure if I’ve configured the clocks and middleware correctly. If anyone has a working example or detailed guidance, that would be incredibly helpful! Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,I'm going to say that this is a really nooby question, however I cannot find the answer anywhere. Background, I'm using a nucleo F103RB, and I've programmed it using CubeIDE. I can connect the board, debug and  run the program fine. The board is powered via Vin at the correct voltages, with JP1 disconnected and JP5 set to E5V.I need to be able to run this program immediately after the board powers on, without a USB connection. How do I upload a release build of my program to it, because whenever I try using cubeprogrammer, it doesn't run the program after it has restarted. When I've tried dragging and dropping the .elf file in, it's given me a write error. Thanks in advance for your help,P

Hi everyone,I’m encountering an issue while working with TouchGFX 4.24.2 on the STM32N6570-DK, using STM32CubeIDE 1.17.Here’s the situation:I tested both my custom project and a demo project provided by TouchGFX.I followed the recommended steps:Generate Code in TouchGFX Designer.Run the application in the TouchGFX simulator, where it executes without any issues.Build and flash the project onto the board using STM32CubeIDE.However, after flashing, the board:Shows a black screen (no content displayed). The LD4 LED remains lit in red.I verified the following:The BOOT switches were in the correct positions during flashing and execution.I used the correct flash scripts for the FSBL and application.Despite these steps, the application refuses to run on the board. Even the demo projects, which should work out of the box, show the same behavior.Has anyone experienced this issue or found a solution? Could it be related to memory configuration, the FSBL, or perhaps some compatibility issue with t

In contrast to the STM32L0 that I am migrating from to the newer STM32U083, the U0 clock tree (Reference manual RM0503 V2.0 figure 11) does NOT show that timer clocks are PCLK*2 when APB prescaler>1.Also, it states in 5.2.14 that timer clock TIMPCLK is equal to PCLK. In other STM32 series like F1, L4 and L0 I was used to have timer clock doubling when PCLK<HCLK. A feature I always disliked, because it requires reconfiguring timers when you want to throttle the CPU speed. However:The HAL (STM32Cube_FW_U0_V1.2.0) function HAL_RCCEx_GetPeriphCLKFreq() returns 2x PCLK, but only for TIM15 and TIM1 in that case (APB prescaler>1). This exception for TIM1 and TIM15 is nowhere to be found in the reference manual. When I configure TIM6 to clock from 8MHz PCLK (1/2 of my 16MHz HCLK) with prescaler 8 (PSC register value 7) it appears to run twice as fast as expected: 2MHz instead of the expected 1MHz. Apparently it is clocked bt 16MHz (2*PCLK). (in contrast, my UARTs run at t

Hello I just bought the STM32L152C-DISCO board. The board worked with its original firmware, but I can't use it with CubeIDE to create my own programs. I create empty STM32project using Board Selector option:  I made a simple program to make the LEDs on the board blink, but it cannot be debugged.   The program downloads correctly, but this message appears: The board appears to be resetting, because the LEDs are blinking very fast, as if the program were continually restarting. On the other hand, are there any example programs for cubeIDE with this board? I downloaded this file, but the examples are for other IDEs, it doesn't have CubeIDE projects: STM32Cube_FW_L1_V1.10.0 Can anyone help me?Thanks

Hello.I try develop TouchGFX+FreeRTOS based project for my custom board.I have a text area problem. I attached photo. Also project attached. It is not stable. It looks like always updating. Also when i touch the buttons other text areas looks same just for a moment then stay stable. What may cause to this problem?I try to solve it via typography, task priority, but no result.Microcontroller:STM32F750CubeIDE ver: 1.15.1TouchGFXDesigner: 4.24.0Thanks.

Hi everyone,I want to know if the microcontroller SPC560P-DISP: Discovery+ evaluation board allows me to work with CANFD. I want also to know if there is any tutorials to learn how to use it for this purpose.

Hi guysIn the picture, you can see a code fragment in debugging mode. You also may see, that the controller is forced to stop at line 476, the if statement. Now the problem: I want to enter the if-branch, if the function returns with the READY typedef enum value. The function returns correctly the READY value, but does never jump into the if-branch. If I trigger the next step, the programm continues at line 482.I tried many things already, including reading from a volatile variable instead of my function, with always the same result.Does anyone an idea, why?

Hi,I bought a Teseo-VIC3DA Evaluation Kit and when I went through the associated documents, they mentioned the concepts of "Teseo-DRAW and Teseo-DRUM". In my application, we do not have access to the vehicle's wheelticks/direction information so I guess I need to use DRUM. But I could not find any information about how to configure the evaluation kit to work in DRUM. Are DRAW and DRUM two different firmware or two different modes?Another question is about the DR calibration. I first updated the firmware to BINIMG_4.6.18.11_VIC3DA_ARM and did not change any configuration. Then I installed the kit to a vehicle and after half an hour driving, I could see $PSTMDR2 showed "system ready" and $GPGGA showed the DR was working with location readings (strangely $PSTMDRCAL did not show up anymore but that may be a separate topic). Then I pulled the kit off from the vehicle and put it in my office, and found that $PSTMDR2 still showed "system ready" and $GPGGA still showed the DR wa

Hi everybody: First post here. I'm working with a GPS parser that re-sends data to another board, and receives some feedback from this other obard. BTW, both perform GPS parsing, with the same algos. One is Feather STM32F407 (the one with the problem) and the other is Nucleo STM32F439 that is also a UDP server/broadcaster. The issue is that the first one uses USART 3 to interface to a GPS (in this case, TESEO3), and USART 6 to re send the NMEA sentence. In both cases, I'm using the DMA receive to IDLE, since in both cases data stream is continuous. The issue, is that the HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback only seems to work with ONE of the serial ports. If I use only one, then it works fine with whatever port is being used, but I find no way to use both. The code of the callback is: void HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, uint16_t Size) { if (huart->Instance == USART3) { //Data received from GPS. Send it by remote link to Tracker if (DataToParse == 0) DataToPar

Hi Team,"I'm working on a TouchGFX project that was generated using the TouchGFX Designer. I need to add source files for USB functionality. I tried adding the .c and .h files to the Core/Src and Core/Inc directories, but I'm getting an error stating that the files cannot be found. How can I properly add .c and .h files to a TouchGFX project? Also, I am highlighting the place where I want my source file in a screenshot." I have a folder named TCOMP that contains .c and .h files. I also tried adding this folder to my project by updating Paths and Symbols under Properties > C/C++ General, but I'm still encountering the same error. How can I correctly include these files in my project?Thanking you in advance

Hello, hope someone can help me, thx! I successfully completed the SensorDemo_BLESensor-App by connecting NUCLEOWB05KN1 with NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q, and carefully followed the manual X-CUBE-WB05N_GettingStarted. I have also verified that we can send data by Bluetooth on NUCLEOWB05KN by only connecting the VDD, GND, and the RX, TX to the TX and RX of the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q. However, we built a PCB that exactly copy from stdes-wb05kv2ld (two-layer board), and assembled the stm32wb05kn and the components (same as stdes-wb05kv2ld) onto the PCB. When we connected the PCB with NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q by 3V3, GND, RX to PCB's USART TX, and TX to PCB's USART RX, the WB05KN is not responding; by the logic analyzer, we can see that the NUCLEO-U575ZI' TX is sending out the data, but stm32wb05kn is not responding; it remains logic high. I was thinking if the chip has been lock-up accidentally, so we have also tried the stm32programmer, by connecting the swdio, swclk, NRST,

Hi people,Im working on STM32H723 module and using SPI6 with LL and/or registers. Even when using HAL libraries I have same issue. SPI stops working randomlyI need to send several messages every (e.g.) 25 ms, (I tried 50 ms). Main Clock is set to max speed, 550 MHz, SPI 6 clock is 137.5 MHz and using a clock divider of 16 it downs to 8.6 MHzTwo timers running, 1 ms ( run time tracking) and 25 ms (used for SPI6)No other peripheral is active in this experiment (I have a bigger code with several peripherals enabled but run into SPI problems so I decided to test SPI only in this experiment)This is SPI TxRx functionSPI is working in 8-bit mode. This function is called for every byte that needs to be transmitted. For example, a packet of 10 bytes will call this function 10 times. There are faster ways of doing that, I agree. For now, Im debugging SPI peripheral problems. Initialization of SPI is the one provided by IDE Init function. Basic one, no need to go deep into this section. Cache D a

I am using a STM32WB55RCV6 for a BLE project.  I did initial development on the NUCLEO-WB55RG development board and it works ok. Ignoring all other functions, the basic feature I am trying to see work is BLE advertising. However, when I move that code to a custom designed board the coprocessor software (that handles BLE wireless functions) seems to be stuck in the FUS state, and never emits the WIRELESS_FW_RUNNING event.  This indicates the coprocessor has not entered the WIRELESS state, so it is not ready to issue advertisements, etc. I have confirmed the initialization function is called on the Custom board, as it is in the Nucleo board. I have checked key clocks on the Custom board as configured by MX and they seem functionally equivalent to the Nucleo board, namely a SYSCLK of 32 MHz on both, and a RF Timeout clock of 31.25 KHz  (compared to the Nucleo board which has a RF timeout clock of 32.768 KHz).  My assumption is the minor difference i

I'm trying to experiment with a Custom HID USB demo.I'm following the instructions at:How to implement a USB device custom HID class on ... - STMicroelectronics CommunityPart way down it suggests:However when I got to Middleware I don't have USB_DEVICE (I just have USBX)I can't see a way to add the USB_DEVICE Package to to the middleware list.Help (please)?

Could someone clarify the interrupt priority order for SPC58 MCU family? Is 0 the highest priority or 63 is the highest priority?Best regards

Hello Sir,     I am working with STM32WB55CGU7 bluetooth MCU for Client and server for our application. Our application is Client and server connect 3 minutes once for 20 seconds.I need to enable the sleep mode in this controller for reduce power consumption.Because Iam using Lithium iron battery to power on the board. So Need to use Battery voltage for long days. And I have included my doubts of 2 points. Please find and help me solve as soon as possible to achieve our Project. 1. We enable the sleep mode in this controller using inbuild functions. These functions are I have used,      PWR_EnterSleepMode();         PWR_ExitSleepMode();  Its working. Hello team,    I am working with STM32WB55CGU7 bluetooth MCU for Client and server for our application. Our application is Client and server connect 3 minutes once for 20 seconds. While connecting, Need to calculate the distance .How to find the distance using RSSI value? How to find the accurate distance from the server between connection. Here below,          hci_read_rssi(gConnHandle,&gRssiVal);          gDistance = pow(10, (((float)TX_POWER-gRssiVal)/(20.00)));     based this type I calculated the distance. This method is correct or not. Is there are need to add or change maethod to calculate the distance.  Thanking you.

To clarify the details about my environment:STMC Board Designer v1.0.0Motor Control WorkBench v6.3.2Now to my question:For the STSPIN32G4 Eval board example, the PE15 Pin is assigned for driver protection trigger input. This makes sense, because the datasheet of the STSPIN32G4 also indicates PE15 as the internally connected fault timer input pin. But when I try to create a custom inverter board, I can only select pins that are also available on the package itself.Since PE15 is only internally connected, I can't select it.How can I assign the pin in the board specification?Any help is welcome :)Best regards,Daniel
