Question about the above PWR_LPSLEEP example code.My test setup includes this:* STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.17.0, Build: 23558_20241125_2245 (UTC).* HAL library STM32Cube_FW_G0_V1.6.2.* NUCLEO-G0B1RE.The example code in main() reduces the clock frequency (lines 123-124):/* Reduce the System clock to below 2 MHz */SystemClock_Decrease(); What is the advantage of the reduced clock frequency, as the Cortex-M0+ CPU clock is already off in LP Sleep Mode? The Reference Manual RM0444 states on page 128that this has "no effect on other clocks or analog clock sources". Does the reduced system clock frequency save power by reducing the clock for all other clocks or analog clock sources?Thank you for your response.

Dear ST Technical Support Team,We are encountering a blocking issue when running the eDesignSuite-generated reference code for STEVAL-7BIDIRCB. The specific workflow is:Power up the STM32G474 MCU firstApply 220V/50Hz AC inputProblem Description:The program execution halts indefinitely at the conditional statement:if (PFC_Control.ConversionStart) // Location: DPC_Application.c -> bool DPC_FSM_INIT_Func(void)Through debugging observations:PFC_Control.ConversionStart never transitions to trueLimited analysis capability due to unavailable source code of DPC_AverageCurrentControl.a (only .a library provided)Could you please advise what preconditions are required for ConversionStart flag activation?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated to help us advance past this critical blocking point.Thank you for your expert support!

I am running a bluetooth application using freeRTOS on a Nucleo-WB55 (STM32WB55RG). I am in the process of implementing Emulated EEPROM (X-Cube-EEPROM) to store som data. After implementing eeprom emulated in a ble_heartrate_freertos example I have had problems understanding the execution of the Emulated EEPROM operation after a pagetransfer + cleanup (obs. for simplicity I use EE_CleanUp here)Without BLE activated (in SingleCore mode) EEPROM Emulated write and pagetransfer+cleanup looks just fine:Pagetransfer + cleanup takes ~40-50ms With BLE activated (in DualCore Mode) the following EEPROM operation occupies much more time than expected:Pagetransfer + cleanup still takes ~40-50ms, but a long delay is introduced in the next EEPROM operation:  Here is an example of the additional delay introduced in the following EEPROM (after a pagetransfer + cleanup) operation: Here is the code:  int main(void) { ... osKernelInitialize(); defaultTaskHandle = os

Hi Is it possible to convert I2C signals to USB signals using "STOTG04E"?

Does anyone have PCB Wiring Guidelines for the STM32H743XGH6?

I am working on EEPROM emulation. I am programming flash frequently and may have mistakes in my code. When I take a break I'd like to erase the MCU so that I don't have bad code in there possibly wearing out the FLASH. Is there a way in the IDE to just erase the MCU. I can't seem to find any. Thanks!

Hello everyone,I’m working on writing a driver for the STM32F411RE microcontroller and have a question regarding the SYSCFG register map. I’ve been referring to the STM32F411 Reference Manual (RM0383)https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/rm0383-stm32f411xce-advanced-armbased-32bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf, specifically the SYSCFG section, and I’m a bit confused about the reserved spaces in the register map. typedef struct { volatile uint32_t MEMRMP; // 0x00 - Memory remap register volatile uint32_t PMC; // 0x04 - Peripheral mode configuration register volatile uint32_t EXTICR[4]; // 0x08 to 0x14 - External interrupt configuration registers // 8 bytes reserved? please reassure me stating a reason volatile uint32_t CMPCR; // 0x20 - Compensation cell control register } SYSCFG_RegDef_t; on Table 22. SYSCFG register map and reset values, it does not explicitly state that there are 8 bytes reserved? I’ve carefully reviewed the manual, but I

I’m preparing my computer for an upcoming STM32WB55 webinar. For 3 days I have installed, uninstalled, system restore wipe, and re-install again the latest CubeIDE, CubeMX, CubeProgrammer, and ST-LINK “USB driver (STSW-LINK009) is for ST-LINKV2, ST-LINKV2-1 and STLINK-V3?.I created an example project; it builds fine, but at the time of debugging CubeIDE never sees the ST-LINK. However I can take the resulting *.bin or *.elf from the project’s Debug folder and flash it with CubeProgrammer and run the example in the board (STM32WB5MM-DK in my case). Also with CubeProgrammer I was able to upgrade the ST-LINK firmware in the STM32WB5MM-DK to the latest. So although CubeProgrammer can see and program the board fine, CubeIDE won’t see the ST-LINK probe. Please help.

Brand new to TouchGFX (and C++) but enjoying so far! I have togglebutton(s) on screen2 and I want the state to be set to off on powerup. (The defaul is on)I have a splash screen that only displays on power up for 3 seconds. Is it best to set the state of toggles on screen2? If so, how would I reference those widgets on the second screen? Is there a better way?I may leave screen2 and come back to it so I don't want to use screen2::setupScreen()Thanks!

I am using an stm32F103 and have configured PB4 as a output pin and this works correctly. However when the chip is reset, this pin is automatically pulled high. It appears that this behavior exists because of the pin's dual use as NJTRST. Is there a way I can reconfigure the chip so that this pin will no longer be pulled high when the NRST pin is pulled low? Thanks.

I am using two ihmo2a1 expansion boards with STM32-Nucleo-F401RE to control 4 stepper motors. When I stack one expansion board on another. The signal given to the first board is transmitted to the second board. I removed comments to define the second expansion board in "xnucleoihm02a1.h" file but it did not work out. What changes have to be made to use more than one expansion board? I would be grateful if you could help me out.

While working on a FLASH writing routing I got stumped with a bunch of flags being set in the SR register. It starts with CFGBSY. reading through the forums someone said they encountered this while accessing an uninitialized pointer. I found that I was doing the same. So my question is this, is there some type of exception or error that is being detected by this uninitialized access that I can see that would lead me faster to know I was using an uninitialized pointer? Thanks

As far as I can tell from the datasheet for the STM32H753VIH, as well as the part selector in CubeMX, the device should have an OctoSPI peripheral. However, when I create a project with the device and go to the connectivity tab, I don't see the OctoSPI peripheral listed like I do in other parts. Is this an issue with CubeMX or does this part not actually have an OctoSPI peripheral in this package? The package is the 100 pin TFBGA with 0.8 mm pitch. Thanks

I have a question regarding voltage level I/O compatibility for STM32 MCUs. The sensors providing analog output within a 0–5V range, while those with digital output at either 0V or 12V. Although some GPIO pins on the MCU are 5V tolerant, they are scattered across the package. To standardize the voltage levels to 0–3.3V (for both safety and ease of routing), I have chosen to use resistor dividers. While resistor dividers should work well for digital signals, I am unsure whether they are sufficient for analog signals or if a dedicated voltage level shifter IC would be a better option. My concern is that the tolerance of resistor dividers could introduce inaccuracies in the voltage supplied to the ADC, leading to incorrect scaling and unreliable measurements. I have researched some voltage level shifter ICs and have identified the following options:TXB0108PWRFXMA108BQX (a lower-cost alternative)Would a voltage divider suffice for analog signals, or would a level shifter IC be the better ch

Hello,The following code compiles, but doesn't give the me results I'm expecting:  void syslog2(uint8_t pri, const char *fmt, ...) { va_list args; va_start(args, fmt); printf(fmt, args); va_end(args); } main() { printf("%s\r\n", _tx_version_id); syslog2(SYSLOG_INFO, "Azure RTOS - %s\r\n", "test" /*_tx_version_id*/); }   this is the output:what am I missing?thanksMatthew

Hello,I am searching for the evaluation board NUCLEO-H753ZI schematics and can't find it. I will appreciate if you can send me a link for the schematics. Best,Karim

The only HCLK frequency possible is 40MHz (ofcourse i need higher freq)Please help me resolve this.

Hi,I am stuck on this issue on the STM32U5A9J-DK. I have ported the USB part from a H725 i have running. Where i have copied the init code from generated code.In USB_CoreReset() the USB_OTG_GESTCTL_CSRST bit is never reset and hence a timeout occurs. The OTG HS Clock mux is set to HSE, which is 16 MHz.The OTG PHY ref. clock selection is set to 16 MHz.

Good day, after troubleshooting some issues related to a bootloader, I have figured out that the address of the interrupt vector table (SCB->VTOR) is defined in a hard-coded, non linker aware way as "SCB->VTOR = FLASH_BASE | VECT_TAB_OFFSET". This means, if the FLASH region is relocated to make space for a bootloader, it requires manual changes to "VECT_TAB_OFFSET".Is there any reason, why we don't use the address of "g_pfnVectors" (the actual vector table) instead? This would always point to the vector table as defined in the startup code.Of course, I can simply add "SCB->VTOR = (uint32_t)&g_pfnVectors;" to the start of the main(), but I'm trying to understand, why the default value is hard-coded instead of using the actual table location. Can someone explain that to me? CubeMX Version: 6.12.0Controller: STM32C031K6TxAlso on STM32G431 with an older CubeMX version

Hello,I'm trying to implement BLE functionality on a custom board equipped with an STM32WB55CC using CubeMX.I managed to successfully (or so I think, the option bytes look good) install the BLE stack binary, but the device is not advertising. I managed to get a working test program on a P-NUCLEO-WB55 and I created the program running on my custom board identically.Using the debugger, I found out that the APP_BLE_Init() function is actually never reached, so I assume the stack on the M0 is not responding.I have searched the forum quite extensively without results, so any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Stephan

In STM32CubeMX 6.13.0 - Application Structure is Basic and gray.I solved it by editing the ioc file, it remains gray, but at least "Advanced" is selected and the code is generated accordingly.I changedProjectManager.MainLocation=SrctoProjectManager.MainLocation=Core/Src Is it intended to work like this?

This seems like an "easy" topic, yet I'm struggling to get a clear understanding.Section 3.2 of the datasheet (Operating Conditions) defines a single, wide range for VDD (2.4V to 5.5V).  But Section 1.3.2 (IO Configuration Register 2) defines two non-contiguous VDD range (either 2.4V to 3.6V or 4.1V to 5.5V).  Does this indicate that VDD between 3.6V and 4.1V is not supported?Based on Section 3.2, we did a HW design where VDD is powered from a battery (3.3V to 4.2V) and we have an issue where sometimes the Adjust Regulator command fails to complete (no interrupt received within 10ms).  And wondering if we are violating the supported VDD range.I've also dug through RFAL001 and it looks like it sets sup3_V to 5V if VDD > 3.6V.  This also indicates the VDD range from 3.6V to 4.1V is not supported because (in 5V mode) the minimum VSP_RF is 3.9V and VDD has to be about 0.25V higher.

Hello,I'm trying to calibrate the gyroscope of LSM6DSO MEMS but I don't really understand what describe the quality parameter in the MGT_state_t structure. I didn't find any information about it in the datasheet. Could you explain it to me ?I succeeded few times to calibrate the gyroscope but sometimes even with the quality close to 0 (1e-8) the bias are not good at all. Is there a procedure to follow to achieve the gyroscope temperature calibration ? And when the bias are better, there is always an offset. How can I resolve it ?

Hi GuysI am a noobie and I am just starting out with TouchGFX. I have designed a 7 screen gui which cycles between screens (1-7 in that order which cylces indefinitely) and I have a text area which I want to populate with real-time data. This is only on screen 4 and 6 and I have defined the wildcards in the designer as follows:I have generated the code using TouchGFX 4.23.2 and then I open the IOC file in CubeMX where I add ADC initialization as well as two tasks and two semaphores. One to update screen4 and one to update screen6, I then generate the code in MX and then click on "Open Project" to import it into CubeIDE.I do not know where to take it from here. Essentially I want to read an ADC voltage (polling) in the two tasks I have created, then from there update screen4 and screen6 wildcards when the screen is loaded. Here is my main.c:I have tried to follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbWOv_0Lp-U&t=241s, however when I adapt it to 7 screens and 2 semap

I cannot find the ETH connectivity option in the Pinout & Configuration window. It is listed as an option in the datasheet, and pins are given for the various MII options. What can I do to configure the MCU with a RMII interface to an external PHY chip?
