I created a fresh C++ project and copied over some existing C files from another project. I then renamed them to .cpp and started porting them. First I renamed the system include files from foo.h to cfoo. With this, CubeIDE complains about cstdint not being found. It compiles the file with gcc -std=gnu11 instead of -std=gnu++14.I tried setting the C Compiler to g++ but then CubeIDE chokes on C files using C++ keywords as identifiers.I also tried renaming my own header files to .hpp (because the error occurs in the header file) but the error message remained the same.error: cstdint: No such file or directory foo.hppHow can I tell CubeIDE to compile the file with the correct compiler?

I'm working on STM32F746 Discovery try to use STemWin. I using cubeMX to gen code for cubeIDE. But i'm stuck, sprintf %f not working. It's return 0x00 and dot instead. For example char str[32];float a = 123.456;sprintf(str, "%f", a);the resultstr[0] = 0x00str[1] = 0x00str[2] = 0x00str[3] = 0x26 '.'str[4] = 0x00str[5] = 0x00str[6] = 0x00Then i try to test whats wrong. I tried to gen a project without freeRTOS and test sprintf %f. And it's work fine.Then i found this http://www.nadler.com/embedded/newlibAndFreeRTOS.html I try to follow this step.·        Exclude from all builds any current FreeRTOS heap implementation, typically something like:·        Middlewares\Third_Party\FreeRTOS\Source\portable\MemMang\heap_4.c·        Add the module ·        heap_useNewlib.c·         I've pr

HiJust started to use the TouchGfx, notice an issue with fonts in the designer.I added a new typographies for a font i want to use in a new project, up to this part no problems. But when introduce a text area in the designer and select the new font, the designer does not render the correct font. The correct font only appears when running the simulator.Is this behavior expected? In this case (since the real font is larger) it becomes tricky to put / align things in the designer since the real font size is different from the one shown.I have attached an image to show it (the left panel is the TouchGfx Designer, the right panel is the simulator).Thank You

I'm new in stm and i am using mac os and stm32cubeide for maci know touch gfx is not getting on mac nowi wonder how can we use touch gfx on mac?So the only way is installing window?Thanks

Hello,can we change the sampling frequency on standalone mode for the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A without using any computer?If I understand right, by default the sampling frequency is 100Hz, and I would like to increase it to 10khZ. David

Hi，I am trying to design NFC antenna with ST25R3911B，the antenna size is about 30*30cm，and the read range need 35cm；I want to know the target matching impedance ，and is it possible to fulfill this requirement with the ST25R3911B NFC reader?

Dear Community,The standard measure for power consumption in my company is done with the LPM01A (X-NUCLEO-LPM01A).So if I understand right, it uses STM32L496 DAC converter to measure current with supplied voltage from the voltage regulator.I also need to measure some battery capacity, so I wonder if I can use it only for current measurment, without using the Vout/VDD power supply? Is it possible to disconnect/isolate it in order to use a battery as target board?ThanksDavid

Hi,I am currently using NUCLEO-LPM01A to measure current consumption.Is it possible to change default settings when starting the board? For exemple, I would like to change parameter integration time from default value 1 to 100s.In this case, without computer, manipulation would be easier for technician to see more precise current average than for 1s.Si this would be to:Measure current consumption with external board without computer.ThanksDavid

Hi All,I'm facing issue with pre emitting in the interrupt execution. how i can prioritize my interrupt in the code? Is there any APIs are available ? how I can do it from the SPC5 studio?Thanks,Basava

Hi, TouchGFX communityI'm trying to get TouchGFX working on a STM32F401RE device with a 200x200 screen.I've created a simple project with one screen and text as 1bit color depth (Idither_algorithm := 2, opaque_image_format := BW, non_opaque_image_format := BW on app.mk) and I use these configuration on BoardConfiguration.cpp:uint8_t frameBuffer[5000]; //200 * 200 / 8uint32_t frameBuf0 = (uint32_t)& frameBuffer[0];namespace touchgfx{NoDMA dma;NoTouchController tc;LCD1bpp display;void touchgfx_init(){  HAL& hal = touchgfx_generic_init<MyFakeHAL>(dma, display, tc, 200, 200, 0, 0);  hal.setFrameBufferStartAddress((uint8_t*)frameBuf0, 1, false, false);  hal.registerTaskDelayFunction(&OSWrappers::taskDelay);   // Enable strategy.   hal.setFrameRefreshStrategy(HAL::REFRESH_STRATEGY_OPTIM_SINGLE_BUFFER_TFT_CTRL);  hal.setFrameRateCompensation(false);  hal.lockDMAToFrontPorch(false);}I think that f

Dear colleagues,Do somebody knows whether STM32CubeIDE support GIT like any other Eclipese (Team -> Commit, Merge.... etc)?Any support is very appreciated, since I did not found any clear info in wide web.Regards,Volodymyr.

Hi. I'm currently implementing an application for test purposes on the STM32WB Nucleo Demoboard. So far I'm very pleased with the experience of adding new services and transvering data. However, to save some energy I want to change the connection interval on my device to 1s or higher. I've enabled L2CAP_REQUEST_NEW_CONN_PARAM and called BLE_SVC_L2CAP_Conn_Update as in the p2p server demo application. That should start the connection interval change. However, in my case the application gets stuck in UTIL_SEQ_WaitEvt() in while((EvtSet & EvtWaited) == 0) with EvtSet = 0. The p2p server demo application doesn't. I can't find any differences regarding this function so far. If I understand correctly EvtSet is set by the M0 core handling the BLE stack. Is there anything else i need to set or change to enable the interval change of an established connection? thank you

If I setup hardware button is clocked on screen1 it works.If I switch to screen2 in designer and come back to screen1, I lose some informationSee attached image

I need to get the X and Y coordinates of the touch controller and use them in Model or a View.Is there a simple way to do this? (something in the API)basically I want to get the x and y values returned from the sampleTouch() in TouchController class.

HiIs there any way to change an object "z-order" via code?Using the designer is easy, just click the button "Send backwards" and "Bring forward", this basically change in the "ViewBase.cpp" the order of adding the object to the screen.Is there any way to do this after, for any object we add (in "setupScreen" function)?Use Case: I have a page with some buttons to perform some actions, but would like that if the user press anywhere on the screen (that is not a button) to execute an action (change page), for that i am using a touchArea that i have to add manually, but since it is always the last object added it stays in front of other objects and captures the click for the buttons.Thank You

Hi I installed STM32CubeIDE V1.1.0 and now I can't select J-Link as a debug probe, only ST-link (GDB & OpenOCD).I get the J-link if the project was created in an older STM32CubeIDE version, but not in the new 1.1.0.Any hints on how to enable J-link?

Hello Everybody,i am trying to use LPUART1 on the NUCLEO board. I attsched an oscilloscope probe on the TX pin and tried to send a simple "Hello world\n". But I don't get any signal from the pin. The data is correct transmitted in TDR register.Does anybody have a hint on what is wrong there?Here is my LPUART init routine:/* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ uint8_t LPUARTBufferTx[] = "Hallo Welt\n";   /* USER CODE END 0 */   UART_HandleTypeDef hlpuart1;   /* LPUART1 init function */   void MX_LPUART1_UART_Init(void) {   hlpuart1.Instance = LPUART1; hlpuart1.Init.BaudRate = 9600; hlpuart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; hlpuart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; hlpuart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; hlpuart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; hlpuart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; hlpuart1.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; hlpuart1.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&hlpuart1) != HAL_OK) { Error

I'm busy with a USB to Ethernet implementation using the ST USB library and LwIP.When I send a packet to the host (Data IN) that came from the ethernet interface, I know where is the end of an ethernet frame send a zero length packet (ZLP) accordingly.But how do I know when it is the end of a USB packet from the host (Data OUT)? So that I can send an entire frame to the ethernet?

I couldn't get the CLI application running on the P-NUCLEO-WB55.USBDongle. I updated the FUS firmware according to ../STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries/Release_Notes.html and installed the stm32wb5x_Thread_FTD_fw.bin on CPU2. The FUS update exited with:FUS status is FUS_IMAGE_NOT_AUTHENTICError: Firmware not authentic!but STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=usb1 -r32 0x20030030 1 does return the right code (01000200). Flashing the stm32wb5x_Thread_FTD_fw.bin was successful. However, when I flash the ..\STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.3.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.USBDongle\Applications\Thread\Thread_Cli_Cmd\Binary\Thread_Cli_Cmd_reference.hex binary, the system doesn't seem to work. Windows is not able to detect the USB device. Error 43 (Device descriptor request error). The same procedure on the Nucleo64 (with the correspondig binary) worked fine and the CLI is available trough the ST-Link VCP.

Hi,We notice IIS2MDC have single measurement mode which can be used for one shot operation. The datasheet also mention how to calculate current consumption for such mode.However we can not find if the sensor will go sleep immediately after measurement, or will it sleep after available data is being read?We might want to do something like this :MCU trigger the measurement, MCU go to sleep, ignore/disable DRDY interrupt, MCU wake up 1 second later, MCU read IIS2MDC output register, MCU trigger measurement, ..... (looping); thus creating 1 Hz measurement intervalWill such scenario able to decrease current consumption to expected value from datasheet's current consumption equation (page 16)? Or will there any leak current since the data is not read immediately?

Hello, I want to use a accelerometer which is LSM6DS3, and it's spec says that it's maximum ODR is 6600Hz.So I want to know is the ODR the same as sampling frequency?Or is it just out data rate? And is sampling frequency less than ODR? If so, what's the maximum sampling frequency is this sensor chip?Thanks!

The bom shows a 33uf Cap. Does the schematic want me to do the 3 in parallel or series? If in series can I just use a 11uF cap? if parallel is there any downside to using just 1? they take up a lot of PCB space.
