Hello,my problem is simple, but I don't seem to understand TouchGFX well enough to find the solution.I have created a simple GUI with TouchGFX Designer. The GUI of this project consists of 1 screen "Screen1" with an image "image1". As usual, TouchGFX Designer adds this image1 in Screen1ViewBase.cpp.I want to change the visibility of image1 at a certain point of my application sequence. For this, I have added the following function to Screen1View.cpp:void Screen1View::ChangeImageVisibility(){   if(Screen1ViewBase::image1.isVisible())   {      Screen1ViewBase::image1.setVisible(false);   }   else   {      Screen1ViewBase::image1.setVisible(true);   }   Screen1ViewBase::image1.invalidate();}When I call ChangeImageVisibility() from my application, the image is still visible. I checked in the debugger, ChangeImageVisibility() is

Hello,I have an issue with using two channels of DMA to generate the PWM on PA2 and PA3 pins.I configured using CubeMX TIM2 PWM Generation CH3 and CH4. I have added the DMA memory to peripheral for PA2 DMA1Stream1 and for PA3 DMA1Stream6.The issue I have is that only the DMA1_Stream1_IRQHandler is called and only the PA2 PWM generation is done. DMA1_Stream6_IRQHandler is never called. This is what I use to test PA3 pin.void HAL_TIM_PWM_MspInit(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim){ GPIO_InitTypeDef  GPIO_InitStruct1; GPIO_InitTypeDef  GPIO_InitStruct2; static DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_tim1; static DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_tim2; /*##-1- Enable peripherals and GPIO Clocks #################################*/ /* TIMx clock enable */ TIMx_CLK_ENABLE(); /* Enable GPIO Channel3/3N Clocks */ TIMx_CHANNEL3_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE(); /* PA2 and PA3 */ /* Enable DMA clock */ DMAx_CLK_ENABLE();   /* Configure TIM2_Channel3 in

Hi,I'm trying to get parallel communication working between an STM32F746 using its FMC peripheral with a Zilog chip (Z8523L16VEG) that acts as a RS485 serial port. The interface to the Zilog chip is an 8 bit parallel interface. So far I have the FMC on the STM32 configured as a PSRAM device connected to Bank 1. In this configuration I can write to bank 1's address (0x60000000) and it will write data to the interface but it always writes at least 8 bytes of data, the first containing the data I'm trying to write, the remaining are all 0s. What am I doing wrong in configuring the FMC so that it won't write just 1 single byte at a time? Thanks,Doug Burrell

First of all, apologies for asking too many questions on the forum. This is the only way I could get some feedback and suggestions as there is not a huge community around ST25DV.I have a custom sensor node connected to the ST25DV04K via the I2C interface. So far I am able to read and write NDEF text and URI formats flawlessly. I am now venturing into composing the sensor data that consists of temperature, humidity, pressure and battery voltage of length 58B. The routines for the composing my data structure are shown below./* Copy from node_sensors_t to CompositeSensorData */ static void copy_sensor_data_to_packet(CompositeSensorData *dest, const node_sensors_t *src) { int i; unsigned long now; uint16_t temp_min, temp_max, hum_min, hum_max; //place holder for min,max calculation   now = clock_seconds();   dest->age = (uint16_t)((clock_seconds() - src->timestamp) / 60); LOG_INFO("Copy sensor data to packet, %u mins old (%lu - %lu)\n", dest->age, now, src->tim

Hi all, just wondering if it would be possible to add an additional sensor (I2C) on the STEVAL-SMARTAG1 with very thin wires. Would it be possible to hand solder onto the pull-up resistors on the board (R1 and R2)?cheers,Zoran

Hello,I am using X-CUBE-AI version 5.0.0, in the generated application template code , aiInit recives a pointer "activations", which is passed to " AI_<>_DATA_ACTIVATIONS()".What should be the value of this parameter ?Best RegardsHossam Alzomor

I've included the stock OpenAMP echo code for the M4 from CubeIDE 1.10-2 and am able to echo a message to /dev/ttyRPMSG0 and have cat print the echoed message.I've written a simple app in C to open the RPMSG0 device, write(2) a structure and then read(2) the structure back. I've modified the OpenAMP callback code to modify a sructure member and a debugger on the M4 shows that VIRT_UART_Transmit() buffer arg(2) contains the changed structure member value, however, my read(2) on the A7 displays the original structure member value. This is for a POC so I'm hoping to simply use /dev/RPMSG driver subsystem as is.Can the standard st-linux RPMSG facility be used to pass structures to M4 and back to A7 as I'm attempted to do .... open(); write(); read() - no close() as I'm expecting to write and read more messages ?Are there /dev/RPMSGn settings I need to use in order for this to work as intended ?Are there examples of how to pass structured messages through RPMSGn ?The STM32Cube_FW_MP1_V1.1.0

Hi,I'm trying to certified a product and we just fail the ETSI EMC. It appears that the USB lines are the cause of this failure. As we tried to track down the main source of this issue it appears that between 2 differents firmware the noise level was very different !! The only difference between these firmware are the optimization level (-O0 for noise and -O3 for less noisy) My product is running on a STMF446 @168 MHz with FreeRTOS. It's a usb device (VPC profile)The product has been tested extensively with the 2 different optimization without any reset or strange bug. For me it seems unreal, because usually the problem appears the other way ! After startup, the OS is started and the product is waiting for USB command (OS is always in the idle task)If I don't start the os (so waiting in the main while loop), there is no noiseIt seems that the noise is somewhat linked to the OS but I cannot see whyI don't have any more idea to find the root cause so any idea is welcome ! ps: pcb design

Hi,I'm trying to run : STSW-ST25PC001(https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-st25pc001.html) with STM M24LR-DISCOVERY Kit.The software crashes as well on windows 7 as on windows 10. I even tried fresh installs of both windowses. The application window is visible for a split second, but then it seems to crash or to shut down immediately. The hardware is fine, as I tested it with the available linux software. Is this a known problem? Are there any further requirements for this software not mentioned in the user manual (UM2444)? Any libraries, java or other SDKs?Thanks,Peter

What is difference between being a member of st.com and touchgfx.zendesk.com?When I click community in Zendesk, I end up at st? Why should I not just log in to st?What does Zendesk give me that ST does not?

Dear all , My project is to read ST25TA64K(NFC Forum Type 4 Tag,ISO/IEC 14443 Type A) Tag with NFC03A1 Reader and hosting MCU is STM32L452.I am able to detect the Tag by Idle command. An wakeup event is getting occured after sending a Idle command.I am able to get a UID by executing the anticollision procedure which is mentioned in the examples of CR95HF datasheet. But i am unable to get any Response to RATS command.Should i must send the RATS command to read the Tag.I am not getting response to Selection command of CC file.My task is to write some info into NDEF file and read it back.I am not using any firmware from st.com(https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-nfc3.html).I am wrting my own firmware to read the tag.Is i am going in a wrong way? Please give me the suggestions. Thanks in Advance.Regards,Praveen.

Hi,I'm receiving characters in polling mode on USART2 in an STM32L476VG.The USART is set up and enabled. I have the following in my receive character routine:// Get a character from the Aquaflex port // timeout with return = 0 int8_t AquaGetChar() { int8_t chr; uint32_t timeoutFlag = 0; uint32_t receivedCharFlag = 0;   // Set the receiver timeout value to 1 sec (10,000 bit periods) LL_USART_SetRxTimeout(USART2, 10000);   // Enable the receiver timeout LL_USART_EnableRxTimeout(USART2); // clear the receiver timeout flag if it's set for some reason LL_USART_ClearFlag_RTO(USART2);   while (!receivedCharFlag) { receivedCharFlag = LL_USART_IsActiveFlag_RXNE(USART2); timeoutFlag = LL_USART_IsActiveFlag_RTO(USART2); if (timeoutFlag) { // no char received - set the return value to 0; chr = 0; break; } }   // if the timeout flag is not set then we must have got a char in the buffer if (!timeoutFlag) { chr = LL_USART_ReceiveData8(USART2); }

I have to connect 10 devices based on STM32F429x MCU to PC and run them in parallel and send log data from all those STM32F429x devices to PC. Previously when using 1-2 ARM devices with PC I had been using serial port with RS3232 and USB-serial converter to transfer data from my device to PC. My PC program is written in C# using its serial port interface. The data size transferred from device to PC is 1~2 Kb per device and control signals to individual devices (few bytes). All of them need to run parallelly and will probably send data at almost same time. Timing for log data transmission depends on completion of tasks in each ARM devices but there is no big difference on completion of tasks (probably ~300 ms difference maximum). And the result is to be displayed in PC in real time. For 10 devices, I don't know if RS3232 would be problem. I do not want to go with USB expansion hub because the ports keep changing whenever PC reboots. Can I use RS-3232 and USB-serial converter with Serial e

AllI am new to the ST ecosystem.I tried Save as. That saves a 1.6K file with nothing in it.I tried clicking the link and I get a 403 error. How do I download this tar file? Thanks.

H7 FW V1.6.0 has incorrect VREFINT_CAL_ADDR, TEMPSENSOR_CAL1_ADDR and TEMPSENSOR_CAL2_ADDR definitions for H7A3.Correct defs would be#define VREFINT_CAL_ADDR ((uint16_t *)0x8fff810) #define TEMPSENSOR_CAL1_ADDR ((uint16_t *)0x8fff814) #define TEMPSENSOR_CAL2_ADDR ((uint16_t *)0x8fff818)and these should be conditional to H7A3 (and possibly others). Currently, same def with H74x/H75x are used.

Hi, I have my own hardware that run without freeRTOS on STM32F429 with STemWin GUI.In the revision hw I'm evaluation to use UI based on Touch GFX latest ver 4.13 + CubeMX 5.5.0.Can I migrate my full application without use freeRTOS with Touch GFX UI?If the answer is no, creating 2 task should be a valid solution?task a) UI for Tocuh GFX;task b) applications with all state machine already developedIf the answer is yes (as read in the latest application note), do exist example of UI TouchGFX without freeRTOS?Thank you.Maurizio Brignoli

Hello,I am using LIN4 as slave , but I am not able to activate the identifier filter . Actually other than lin driver 0(LD0) , lin identifier filter is not getting activated.ldp->linflexlp->IFER.R = (uint16_t) (ifer | (((uint32_t)1U << 1))); /* Enable #Filter */Program is getting stuck in above statement in lin_lld.c->spc5_linflex_set_filter function. as per the reference manual, To configure an identifier filter the filter must first be activated by programming IFER[FACT] = 1.but where exactly we have to make the configuration for activating the filter.

Hi, As stated in question, accelerometer vector magnitudes are different when sensors are oriented to +X axis and - X axis. Difference is about 5 %. DT0105 only states about +X axis calibration. so I'm confused whether this difference comes from chip itself, or installation.

Using the Distribution Package for STM32MP1 I wrote a simple function to copy some file to the rootfs image and execute fine-tuning commands:my_postprocess_function() { cp -dr /home/osboxes/Documents/overlay/* ${IMAGE_ROOTFS} ln -s /lib/systemd/system/apache2.service ${IMAGE_ROOTFS}/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/apache2.service }   ROOTFS_POSTPROCESS_COMMAND += "my_postprocess_function; "It works fine but of course don't work for files in `/boot` because it's another partition and the tree under `${IMAGE_ROOTFS}` does not contain it.So, what's the right syntax to execute any command in the `boot/` directory?

Hello,I'd like to test your X-LINUX-AI-CV OpenSTLinux image on my STM32MP157C-DK2 Discovery kit as explained in the following pagehttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/X-LINUX-AI-CV_OpenSTLinux_expansion_packageDo you provide a ready to flash and use X-LINUX-AI-CV OpenSTLinux image somewhere or one have to rebuild it from scratch only?Thank you--Marco

So I just recently got an stm32f103c8t6, and I was able to connect to it with the serial pins connected to pins A8 and A9, but for whatever reason, I was not able to get it to connect with the St link v2 that I also ordered. For connections, I connected 3v pin to pin 1, as labeled in the user manual for the st link, ground to 20(power was working and the onboard power LED was on), SWIO to 7 and SWCLK to 9. I was unable to find a video of someone using the official st link online, as basically every video used a knockoff board. Is there something I'm not doing right?Update, I was able to connect with stm32cubeprogrammer, but not write. I am able to connect with these settings:SWD4000khzhot plugsoftware resetI can see the contents of the memory, but I am not able to write to them. Can someone explain what I am doing wrong?

I have been using TrueSTUDIO for about 2 months and so far when I hover over a variable in stopped code the value is reported as expected. But today I had a bout with TrueSTUDIO where many of the checked variables contained unbelievable values. However, the code written to make decisions based on these variables continued to work as expected. As if only TrueSTUDIO was "out of the loop" with respect to the actual variable values. What is going on?I switched to using STMStudio. While I can not debug using STMStudio I can see the affected variable. While in TrueSTUDIO these variables contained Unbelievable data. But in STMStudio these variables contained the expected values. Why? The variables which continued to contain values as expected in TrueSTUDIO were part of my own code directly called from main(). Most if not all the variables which contained unbelievable data were part of the USB communication code. I am not sure, but data in those variables might be traceable back to interrupt dri

I have a feeling i know the answer to this is "just give it up" but I figure before I do that, has anyone managed to get this Atollic thing working with semihosting and the J-Link? I ran up against Atollic's libnosys.lib defining _lseek and some other useless functions that conflict with rdimon. There doesn't seem to be source for libnosys so I'm ready to throw in the towel but thought I'd ask. I suspect the answer is to fuggedaboutit but throwing caution to the wind I pose the question: How to get Atollic to actually work with semihosting as opposed to the theoretical App note presentation linked here https://info.atollic.com/resources/application-notesST, please go back to subsidizing IAR and talk IAR into linux support. We're getting exactly what we paid for with this tiresome Atollic eclipsean monster. Half the time I have to restart the IDE because it loses its mind and can't stop execution.
