I stupidly used the mbed application and can no longer flash the WB55 Nucleo from Atollic or command line programmer.Have I flashed the STlink device instead of the WB55?How do I resurrect the Nucleo board.ThanksIan

Hello,I have a nucleof303k8 board on which I implemented a hysteresis current control. This is done with the COMP2. I would like to know the average voltage which is connected to the inductive load in order to achieve the desired current. My idea was to connect the comparator output to a timer input capture, which could then use dma to store the switching times, which are perfect to calculate this value. However, I cannot get the comparator to trigger an input capture on the timer. The comparator is switching correctly, and I can trigger the input capture with an input pin. The init code of the comparator:void MX_COMP2_Init(void) { LL_COMP_InitTypeDef COMP_InitStruct = {0};   LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0};   LL_AHB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB1_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOA); /**COMP2 GPIO Configuration PA7 ------> COMP2_INP PA12 ------> COMP2_OUT */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = LL_GPIO_PIN_7; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_ANALOG; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = LL_GPIO_PULL

Hi,I have used the STMicro's Unicleo-GUI PC Application to test both the LSM9DS1 STMicro's HAL and STMicro's Compass Middle Ware (from X-CUBE-MEMS1) - and - the LSM6DSO-LIS2MDL combination using almost the same software. All STMicro code (HAL for the LSM9DS1, LSM6DSO & LIS2MDL) and our code worked together well to provide the STMicro's Unicleo-GUI PC Application data to display graphically.Since then I have ported all code from an STMicro's NUCLEO board (using an STM32L412 processor) to our target platform (using the same STM32L412 processor). This caused the USB interface to change from the built in USB on the STMicro's NUCLEO development board to the STMicro's ST-LINK in-circuit debugger and programmer pod.It would appear this switch has broken STMicro's Unicleo-GUI PC Application. The STMicro's Unicleo-GUI PC Application no longer finds and advertises a suitable Win10 Comm Port to connect to. Where as before the STMicro's Unicleo-GUI PC Application found the correct Win10 Comm P

I need some assistance in setting up a valid debugging environment in STM32CubeIDE using a Neucleo-64 STM32F103RB board.I have wide experience in C, C++, and C#. I have also experience in the Arduino IDE, having made several projects there. After my initial setup of a valid toolchain, I planning to develop on STM32 parts commonly available on the Blue Pill development board. I purchased a Neucleo-64 STM32F103RB because it appeared to be the closest STM32 part in the Neucleo-XX line to the Blue Pill development board. I also purchased the book Beginning STM32 and the book Mastering-STM32.pdf as reference guides to setting up an appropriate toolchain for STM32 development. My primary requirement in the toolchain is to have inline debuging capability. Each of the toolchain reference guides I purchased provided me some insight into the setup of a toolchain. There exist several toolchains that I supposed could be used, but each toolchain has its own complexities in setup. I we

Hello,In CubeMX-AI , after loading the H5 model and analyzing it, there is an option to validate on desktop without providing validation data. How the validation is done using validation input as random numbers?and How L2R is calculated?

STM32CubeMX is V5.5.0, but I suppose device definitions have different version numbers.

Hello,If various elements of the GUI I'm working on are going to be shared amongst most of the screens (footer, header, status bar,…), do you think it's a good idea to use a single TouchGFX screen and to change only the central content by means of containers? Therefore, I'd have to create various containers, say container_screen1, container_screen2,... and swap from one to another like this:container_centralZone.add(container_screen1);/* after an action*/container_centralZone.remove(container_screen1);container_centralZone.add(container_screen2);However, as we want to use as little heap as possible in the project I'm currently working on, the problem of this solution is that all containers must be created statically upon the creation of the TouchGFX main screen… None of the two solutions (screens vs containers) are perfect, but I'm currently leaning towards using the containers one and I'd like to hear your opinion on this to make a sound decision. Thanks in advance

Hello,I'm confused about the documentation of the (Re)Synchronization Jump Width SJW for FDCAN in the RM0440 of STM32G4. There is a difference in docu for valid values for SJW between section "43.3.1 Bit Timing": one to four quantasection "43.4.7 FDCAN nominal bit timing...": NSJW valid values are 0 to 127 quantaCould you clarify which statement is true? Are NSJW values >4 operational? Thanks!

All declarations in the global namespace that start with an underscore are reserved by the C++ compiler according to the C++ standard. See: https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/keyword TouchGFX violates this by converting any images to "_filename" and having them in the global namespace. I was made aware of this when an image with the name "start" was colliding with the compiler's defined value of _start.This should be fixed as soon as possible.

helloi want to use debug pins as normal gpio pins , is it possible or not?and if possible then how?

Hello, I want to use teratern to send a string to my usart on stm32f4, but nothing is received. these are the settings of my teraterm

Tools used:STM32CubeProgrammer 2.3.0.STM32CubeIDE 1.2.1 for code generation (gnu-arm-embedded.7-2018-q2-update.win32_1.0.0.201904081647)I generate some simple STM32CubeIDE C project with default settings. Build completes, but debugging throws an error during the program+verification phase with "Error: Data mismatch found at address 0x08003001 (byte = 0x18 instead of 0x00)". Log file attached.Same when running STM32CubeProgrammer stand-alone. The two screen shots show the difference between .elf and flash mem at 0x08003000:The device was completely erased beforehand. A generated .bin file also shows 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 at offset 0x3000.When I add some dummy code, the file size increases and verification passes and debugging runs without errors as expected.

Hello,in our project we need to handle the SR176 memory by the ST25r3911B component but we have some problems when we try to write the user blocks of the memory. We need also to handle the SRI512 card and we are able to write the blocks without problem. We have noticed that one difference between the two cards is that SR176 is organized in user blocks of 16 bit, the SRI512 is organized in user blocks of 32 bit. We have also noticed that the library function rfalSt25tTPollerWriteBlock doesn't receive the number of bytes to write, but this value is fixed in the code by the define RFAL_ST25TB_BLOCK_LEN = 4.Could this be a problem for our application which needs to handle the SR176 card? Is it possibile to change this value in the library? Thanks in advance for your help, Andrea.

Hi, I'm using CubeMX, Firmware STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.24.2 with an STM32F411VET (DISCO). When I configure an UART for TX in DMA regular-mode (as opposed to circular-mode), the code in function UART_DMATransmitCplt()in file stm32f4xx_hal_uart.c at line 2540)skips the callback function, if circular-mode is not set (see else in line 2557).I believe this is a bug. If I'm using the code in a wrong way, please let me know.I intend to send some data out, and when this is completed by the DMA in background, I want to set the gState to HAL_UART_STATE_READY in the huartx structure (because the driver doesn't do it by default). Only this way I can send more than once on the UART.Greetings, Bernd

Has this function been provided? I would love to have the function of copy and paste between two files, so I donnot have to create those same screens again in a new file.:grinning_face_with_sweat: Br,Devin

I'd like to report 2 bugs/errors in CubeMx and the documentation in the stm32g4xx LL driver file:Setting the "Internal Voltage reference scale" in the "SYS" menu of CubeMX to SCALE2 (2.9V), won't take effect and the selected value always falls back to SCALE0. I'm working with an STM32G474 device. Also the values of the scales in CubeMX are wrong, where it's written:SCALE0: 2.5VSCALE1: 2.048VSCALE2: 2.9VWhereas the correct asignments are:SCALE0: 2.048VSCALE1: 2.5VSCALE2: 2.9VFurthermore the documentation in the LL driver in "stm32g4xx_ll_system.h" has the documentation wrong for LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE2, where a voltage is 2.8V is documented instead of the correct value 2.9V

I have posted this in zendesk, but am then referred to ST Community. I would like to re-post here, so that someone in ST can help to follow up.====================================We have a project running on TouchGFX 4.9.3, and we have just tried to migrate it to 4.10.0. Below shows the step that we have tried....1) Open the 4.9.3 project with TouchGFX Designer 4.10.0 => It will be upgraded to 4.10.0's automatically. 2) Delete two pictures in the TouchGFX Designer 4.10.0. => The pictures are successfully deleted 3) Delete one more picture in the Designer => The whole Designer is automatically shutted down!!! 4) Try to reopen the Designer again => Fail. The Designer was deleted automatically and cannot be found. After investigation, it was automatically deleted by the Anti-Virus software (Trend Micro OfficeScan Agent). It stated that Virus was found in the Designer, and therefore it was deleted automatically. This issue was not happened in 4.9.3, but 4.10.0. Please investiga

I would like to return it to the out of box state. And get to look at the out of box application code.

I am currently using STM32F746. I am trying to exit from a MemManage fault handler back to the instruction which triggered the fault (I am trying something hacky that properly resolves the cause of the fault inside the handler so going back to the original program point makes sense). When entering the handler, the previous context (e.g., PC, CPSR..) are saved in the stack so I thought restoring those would make me go back to the original point. However, I cannot properly restore the xPSR, and I think because of that things are not working as expected. I tried something like "MSR apsr, r12" and "MSR xpsr, r12", but instead of fully restoring the xPSR, it seems like it is only restoring the flags of the xPSR (and not the GE and the mode bits). Also what is weird is that my xPSR inside the handler looks something like 0x610e0004, which does not make sense to me. I thought the last five bit should be in the form of 1xxxx in binary, from https://heyrick.eu/armwiki/The_Status_register.Why is th

I have problems when I read continuously the RTC time in stm32f446 at 180MHz, after some readings, this gives me the same value. To find a solution, I implement a delay of 1 second to read the RTC and this solves the problem, however, I don't know what is the source of the issue. I am using HAL library for read the RTC.

Hi,I am using STM32F405, CMSIS RTOS V1, and STM32CubeIDE. I want to create a timer interrupt that periodically release the semaphore to signal the execution of a task. The issue is that it gets stuck after osSemaphoreRelease is called in the interrupt. Please refer to my source code. How do I troubleshoot this? Thanks.

I would like to remove STM32CubeIDE (v1.2.0) from my Mac (os 10.14.6).Removing the IDE is straightforward, just drag the .app to the trash. But how do I remove the ST Link Server from my machine? The ST Link Server Installer doesn't specify where it is putting files on my Mac, and I would like to remove these too. Thanks!

We use some STM32F765GT6 on a project that will be duplicated in a small series (100) and we wonder about its obsolescence perspectives.Do you have any schedule about this component?

I am working with the STM32F769I-Disco Board and I'm having trouble figuring out how to control the display. When I put the device is standby mode, the display does not power down. Is this normal? I have been trying to power down the display manually, but I'm having troubles doing this as well. I noticed in the display driver there are macros to turn the display on and off:#define OTM8009A_CMD_DISPOFF        0x28 /* Display Off command */#define OTM8009A_CMD_DISPON        0x29 /* Display On command */But I'm ultimately not sure how to use these macros...Any advice?Thank you.

Hi, I suppose that the STM32CubeMX V 5.5.0 has a bug for AHB1,2 Peripheral Clocks configuration for the STM32H7A/7B microcontroller. If you try to configure the AHB1,2 clock to 280MHZ. It indicate a Clock Configuration error: "AHB1,2 Clock Frequency must be =< 140MHZ".Is it a bug of the CubeMX or the AHB1,2 clock really must be =< 140MHZ?
