I created a simple TouchGFX application , basically a single button that will turn LD3 Green (Port G 13) on and offI used the MX Cube IDE to create the necessary interactions and functions. Then I created the button using TouchGFX environment. But It fails to build.. It wont recognize the stm32fxx_hal.h file? although I see definitely see that file in the build ..I tried using make command, and the TouchIDE itself and it still wont build..I attached the folder here.. can you help?

HelloHow to approach when using other OS, for example, when using Mbed OS5?Thank you

Hi,Follwing Font cpp files are being generated:Font_Ubunut_light_10_4bpp_0.cppFont_Ubunut_light_10_4bpp_4.cppFont_Ubunut_light_16_4bpp_0.cppFont_Ubunut_light_16_4bpp_4.cppMy question: What does the _4 (in bold) mean? Why are there different font with the same size(16)?Thanks for your help./jimmii

Hello,I have received conflicting answers to this question so I want to try asking it in a different way. Hopefully you understand my situation but please let me know if I should clarify anything.I want to use an STM32G431RB. I need to be able to read 4 quadrature encoders and drive 9 PWM outputs. In order to do this, I believe I need to use at least one timer running Encoder Mode on channels 1 & 2 and PWM Output on channels 3 & 4. Is that possible?I currently have an STM32F3Discovery board for testing purposes and I have set up PWM generation on TIM2 channels 3 & 4 using STM32CubeIDE. When I measure the pins with an oscilloscope, I read the expected PWM. Then, I set TIM2 Combined Channels to Encoder Mode and, without adding anything else to my code, the oscilloscope shows that the pin is set to high (3V). Could something be off in my code? Is this expected? Is there a way to generate PWM with TIM2 CH3 and CH4 in this setup?Thank you!

I have a ST25TV in the eSEAL Evaluation Board. I want to set the Counter Configuration. I need a password to do this (which I never set). What is the default password? Thanks,Vince

Hi,Recently I bought two STM32H747-DISC0 boards and seems that one of them is not working properly. The first one is working well, I can flash, debug and so on. The second one, there's no way I can flash it. I tried using CubeIDE and also ST-Link utility (both are working on the other board). The device is shown on the device manager as "ST-Link Debug" over Universal Serial Bus devices. What I find interesting is that I can flash the ST-Link firmware using the STM32 ST-Link Utility: clicking on "ST-Link" and "firmware update", I can find the device clicking on "Device Connect" and re-flash the firmware.Does anyone have an idea of what can the problem be? The testing stick is ticket on the t1, t2, t3 and t4 steps. Should I send it back and ask for a replacement? This is what I get when trying to flash it:

I'd like to setup a SPI/DMA to read data from a magnetometer such that the new data is saved to memory without any CPU intervention. I understand a timer could be used, but I don't want any gap between when one spi read and the next. The CPU could then read the latest value from memory any time.

Revision "V" CPUs use the Version 9 bootloader rather than version 3.1 in "Y". I can't get Jump to bootloader as described in "FAQ: Jump to Bootloader from application on STM32H7 devices" to work on "V" parts although it works perfectly in "Y". As suggested in another thread I am setting the stackpointer in STM32H743II_FLASH.ld to 16 less than the end of the RAM section to avoid the Version 9 bootloader trying to pop an invalid address

Hi All,Could anyone tell me what happens on an STM32H750 (or other STM32) UART if you enable both the HDSEL bit (half-duplex mode using only the TX pin) and the SWAP bit (switch TX and RX pins) at the same time? Will this get me a half-duplex UART using on the RX pin, or is the hardware not flexible enough to do that? The specific goal here is to get two bidirectional UARTs on pins 92 and 93 on an LQFP100 STM32H750. If this works, then I can make pin 92 LPUART1 TX/RX by enabling HDSEL, and I can make pin 93 USART1 TX/RX by enabling both HDSEL and SWAP.Thank you

Hi,I am trying to build the demo project using Visual Studio 2019 on Windows 10 while following the official instructions. Here is what I did:1) I successfully built the STUHFL middleware for Linux.2) Then, I tried to build the STUHFL-demo for Linux while following the official instructions and it failed as some header files were missing:Here are the contents for the include directories for the STUHFL_demo project:Note: I have not changed any settings. What could be the reason? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Hi,I tried to follow the given instructions for building the STUHFL demo for linux but I encountered multiple issues:1) Header files were not found when building the solution.I added the absolute path in the settings of the project so that the header files are found.2) The directory structure of the copied files on the Raspberry Pi was quite different to the one expected by the build commands in visual studio. So, there were errors of the libSTUHFL.so and the STUHFL_demo.out not being found.I edited the path in settings of the project and moved around a directory to make this work.3) Finally it ran:But, there is no way of interacting with the hardware and does not serve much purpose.4) The demo version on windows gives some options for interaction but it takes a considerable amount of time for it to respond. Also, It was not able to detect the tags when I selected the relevant option. Whereas, using the Windows GUI software, it was able to.

Hello,I´m testing the ST25RU3993 Eval Board with it´s firmware and I receive lots of ST25RU3993_ERR_PREAMBLE and ST25RU3993_ERR_RXCOUNT errors during inventory round. My setup contains 72 Tags, all visible for the antenna. (another Reader detects about 70 per Round) If I set a non adaptive Q to 1024 slots I thougt to get about 952 empty slots, maybe some collisions and something about 72 Tags. But instead I find something between 10-62 Tags, something about 450 Empty Slots and 500 Collisions, caused by the two errors I said above. (more by preamble, less by rxcount and a few caused by others (the else in your commented debug print in gen2.c gen2SearchForTags())I already checked the RXWAITTIME register (0x08) and the RXNORESPONSE Register (0x07), they are on default value.A problem resulting of that errors is the adaptive Q. Because of the ST25RU3993_ERR_PREAMBLE errors the q increases a lot during round, but it should decrease because of the Empty slots...Can you tell me what can be my

Hi All,I have two applications Bootloader and main application. I'm using UDE STK4.10 to program the board. I want know How I can load bootloader with out erasing the Main application flash memory and same for the main application write. while updating application how i can protect my bootloader code from the erase process. Thanks Basava

Is there a newer version for the DocID18458? UM1052 is a very nice (but outdated) user manual for the FOC SDK for STM32F microcontrollers, it is more complete than UM2374 but has not been updated, or at least I can not find a newer version, since September 2016.

Hi, I would like to know if ST25RU3993 UHF Reader can read any type UHF Tag. In selecting different types of UHF tags is it enough to verify the PROTOCOL alone or should we check any other factor? Thanks in Advance

Should we have to necessarily use the RFAL library ? If not than can anybody tell the basic configurations of registers so that ST25R3911B detects TYPE-A card.

Hi, I'm using an STM32F429 MCU and trying to connect to a sensor through I2C. However, I measured both I2C pins with an oscilloscope and they were not showing any clock pulse or a signal. Here's my code for initiation:void MX_I2C1_Init(void) { hi2c1.Instance = I2C1; hi2c1.Init.ClockSpeed = 100000; hi2c1.Init.DutyCycle = I2C_DUTYCYCLE_2; hi2c1.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0; hi2c1.Init.AddressingMode = I2C_ADDRESSINGMODE_7BIT; hi2c1.Init.DualAddressMode = I2C_DUALADDRESS_DISABLE; hi2c1.Init.OwnAddress2 = 0; hi2c1.Init.GeneralCallMode = I2C_GENERALCALL_DISABLE; hi2c1.Init.NoStretchMode = I2C_NOSTRETCH_DISABLE; if (HAL_I2C_Init(&hi2c1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); printf("I2C Initiation Failed!\r\n"); } }   void HAL_I2C_MspInit(I2C_HandleTypeDef* i2cHandle) {   GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct; if(i2cHandle->Instance==I2C1) { __GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); /* I2C1 clock enable */ __I2C1_CLK_ENABLE(); /**I2C1 GPIO Configuration PB8 ------> I2C1_SCL PB9 ------>

Hello!I repost my question here as I posted it in an answer yesterday and it didnt get effective.Thank to hansd empty project I manage to begin my project and conceive my GUI:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000AntXX2SQM/simpliest-ide-to-configure-with-touchgfx-and-stm32cubemxIt seems that using the integrated or standalone CubeMX doesn't mess up the project. Also, I succedeed in importing the project under AtollicTrueSTUDIO in order to see the difference between the IDEs.I followed hands56's link in order to configure the QSPI:https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019884752-Configuring-STM32F746G-DISCOI followed as well this tuto to configure the linker under CubeIDE (I think that is it the same as AtollicTrueSTUDIO):https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000AIeS5CSQV/stm32cubemx-touchgfx-atollic-how-to-setup-the-qspi-external-flash-All is building perfectly and when I look at the Build Analyzer, I can see the ExtFlashSection and my assets under QUAD

I am having the P-Nucleo IHM001. I am trying to generate code using ST Motor Control Workbench, but after building and dumping the code in the controller, the motor is not spinning and two faults are showing up:FOC faultSoftware errorI want to try older SDK (MC SDK V 4.3). Please help.

No detail about it in the datasheet. This is quite an old part design. I'm looking for the thermal resistance of the industrial version of the part (-40 to 85°C). I'm quite sure that the self-heating is minimum. But, I want characterization data that proves that it is.

Hi, I read in the Data Brief of the STEVAL-SPIN3201 module that it can ouput up to 15 Arms of current but I can't find in the schematic why that it. The mosfet used on the board (STD140N6F7) seems capable of higher current output. We want to port the design of the eval board o our custom board but our current requirements are a bit hogher then 15A and wanted to know what we needed to adjust to make it possible, if it is possible..Best regard,PB
