Hello,When I create a new project in STM32CubeIDE, automatically it downloads all HAL libraries (for examples: stm32f1xx_hal_rcc or stm32f1xx_hal_tim) but I want to use the STM32 Standard Peripheral Libraries (for example: stm32f10x_rcc or stm32f10x_tim). So the question is how can I ask STM32CubeIDE to download these libraries and use it?Thanks

I've configured my STM32F303RE to send the COMP4 to the output (PB1) as well as to TIM4_Ch2. I also am running an external signal generator in from PB6 to TIM4_Ch1.I can see the COMP4 output on PB1 but not at the TIM4_Ch2. I can see the external signal being captured from TIM2_Ch1.[Q] Can the COMP4 output be directed simultaneously to both the output pin and to the TIM4_Ch2 ?If I modify the TIM4 initialization to send Ch1 to IC2 and Ch2 to IC1 I do see the signal generator capture move to the other capture register but the COMP4 is still not detected.P.S. My comparator output also has multiple crossings from zero-crossing chatter.static void MX_TIM4_Init(void) { TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_IC_InitTypeDef sConfigIC = {0};   htim4.Instance = TIM4; htim4.Init.Prescaler = 32; htim4.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim4.Init.Period = 23500; htim4.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim4.Init

From RM0377:6.3.3 - Peripheral clock gating......Disabling the peripherals clocks in Sleep mode can be performed automatically by resetting the corresponding bit in RCC_AHBLPENR and RCC_APBxLPENR registers (x can 1 or 2).I can't find the definitions of these registers anywhere in CMSIS / LL / HAL, neither any other mention of them in the RM.The only place I've found them being used is in stm32l0xx_hal_rcc_ex.h, in these macros:#define __HAL_RCC_AES_CLK_SLEEP_ENABLE() SET_BIT(RCC->AHBLPENR, (RCC_AHBSMENR_CRYPSMEN)) #define __HAL_RCC_AES_CLK_SLEEP_DISABLE() CLEAR_BIT(RCC->AHBLPENR, (RCC_AHBSMENR_CRYPSMEN)) #define __HAL_RCC_AES_IS_CLK_SLEEP_ENABLED() (READ_BIT(RCC->AHBLPENR, RCC_AHBSMENR_CRYPSMEN) != 0U) #define __HAL_RCC_AES_IS_CLK_SLEEP_DISABLED() (READ_BIT(RCC->AHBLPENR, RCC_AHBSMENR_CRYPSMEN) == 0U)

I am trying to set up FMC to work with external RAM. The code compiles and works with KEIL, but I am trying to make it work with STM32CubeIDE. The code compiles and runs, but the RAM is not initialized. I copied all of the code, including the .ioc file, and used it but it won't enable the RAM.I have a temporary license for KEIL and I have confirmed that the memory and the code work by compiling and debugging in KEIL and accessing the RAM in the code and in the debugger.Any thoughts or ideas? I need this external ram so I can continue to port TouchGFX to my board for a research project.Thanks

Environment:STM32F756IAR Embedded Workbench IDE - Arm 8.40.1USB CDC device, Full SpeedFreeRTOSProblem:Remote wakeup function does not work. I've set the remote wake-up attribute in the config descriptor. The host enters suspend. My device doesn't wake the host. HI,I am trying to create a touchgfx application project from cube ide for H750 board. I was able to get everything compiled after merging lot of things from the project created from touchgfx it self for h750 board. But once i run my custom project, it gets stuck inside _binary____ExtMem_Boot_bootloader_bin_start() at 0x8001ca0.This is my call stackPlease help me out. Thanks

Hi,I'm trying to change the boot order of the STM32H745 to gate the M7 core and boot the M4 core.This works fine in ST-Link utility ofcourse.Now I'm trying this in code and this seems to not work.I think the issue is with setting the bit from high to low.FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef OBInit; HAL_FLASHEx_OBGetConfig(&OBInit);   log_info("Usertype: %08x", OBInit.USERType);   if (OBInit.USERType & OB_USER_BCM7) { log_info("Changing option bytes"); OBInit.USERType &= ~OB_USER_BCM7; if (HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock() == HAL_OK) if (HAL_FLASH_Unlock() == HAL_OK) if (HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&OBInit) == HAL_OK) if (HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch() == HAL_OK) if (HAL_FLASH_OB_Lock() == HAL_OK) if (HAL_FLASH_Lock() == HAL_OK) { log_info("Option bytes changed"); log_info("Requires rebooting"); //NVIC_SystemReset(); return; } log_info("Failed changing option bytes");All functions result in HAL_OK but the value doesn't change.Am I mis

Hello! I'm working with the P-Nucleo-WB55 development kit (STM32WB55 chip) and was trying to setup a project for my first time using STM32CubeIDE. My application is going to want to start up, initialize the peripherals and sensors, then go to sleep and wait for an interrupt to wake it up. The initial setup has it powered up for 0.1 ms and then in "Stop 2" for 0.9 ms. From a power perspective, that makes sense but for just getting started, I'm concerned I might select the wrong settings and not be able to develop on this properly (in case my I2C signals can't be sent out before it goes to sleep mode, etc). Is there a recommended setting for getting started (possibly being on all the time and then change to low power mode later on)? Is there a better way to set it up for my application?I think I'm just a little bit intimidated by the power settings initially and don't want to cause issues with learning the project if I choose the wrong settings. Any help you can give me would be apprecia

Hi,Board details : NUCLEO64 - G071RBTXI am trying to understand Receive timeout interrupt for implementation of Modbus RTU using USART2. As a start, to check the receive timeout interrupt, i want to check with a 2 seconds timeout interrupt. So configured the RTOR register accordingly below (Please guide if i configured wrong)===USART2 CONFIGURATIONS: BAUD=19200All other bits at default===Steps I used additionally after code generation (HAL) Below steps are written after HAL configures the USART2.Enabled RXNEIE interruptEnabled RTOIE interruptEnabled Receive timeout (USART2->RTOEN bit is set)Configured RTOR register with value 3840002 (To see interrupt of after 2 seconds) Calculation for RTOR = (2000000/ 0.520833). I refered the calculation from herestatic void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN USART2_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END USART2_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN USART2_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END USART2_Init 1 */ huart2.Instance = USART2;

Hi,I recently stumbled on a issue.For a project we developed a bootloader which checks the programs CRC if it matches and halts if not. The CRC is calculated after linking and is placed in front of the application.I found out that there is a difference between the compiled binary (.bin) file and the programmed target when programming through STM32CubeIDE. This makes the CRC calculation fail.The difference seems to be in the blank (unprogrammed) areas.STM32CubeIDE uses STM32CubeProgrammer CLI to program an SREC format file.This SREC format may contain areas which aren't programmed.ARM GCC converts an ELF to binary and fills unused areas with 0x00.STM32CubeProgrammer 'fills' unused areas with 0xFF.Attached are simple examples.We have an reproduce.srec which writes the ASCII 'test' multiple times. Address 3D, 3E and 3F are not programmed.When converting reproduce.srec to gccoutput.bin with ARM GCC:arm-none-eabi-objcopy.exe --input-target=srec --output-target=binary .\reproduce.s

Hi All,Using a 36V motor that is rated for peak of 20.5A. I always get an overcurrent fault on startup even though my current output is only 0.8A. Any guidance would be appreciated, and I am happy to provide more details if needed.Thanks,-Nick

Hi all,I am designing a motor controller board based on the B-G431B-ESC1 board.What are the requirements to be able to use the ST Motor Profiler on my custom board?Let's make the assumption that I am using the same schematics (same parts as the B-G431B-ESC1 board) but different layout.Is it sufficient to configure the board using the MotorControl Workbench 5.4.4 in order to be able to use the Motor Profiler?Best,Alessandro

Hello,I am working on STM32F413VGT with STM32CubeIde.I am using timer 3 channels 1 and 2 to generate 2 PWM signals to control a motor. This part works perfectly.I am also using ADC1 in DMA mode to get 7 ADC measurements. This function also works perfectly.I can change the PWM value with UART command or GPIO. But, when ADC measurement and PWM signals are both in my software the PWM signals freeze after some minutes and I can't change it. Instance and Init value of this are changed when I check on STM32CubeIde. (timer3_ok and timer3_ko)Do you know why I have this problem on timer3 when ADC is used ? I don't have this problem with an other timer or when the ADC is not present. I have just this error with the timer3. I tried to generate a PWM signal with TIM1 CH4 and TIM2 CH2 and no problem...I also tried to use ADC1 without DMA but I also have the same problem.Parameters with timer3 OK:Parameters with timer3 KO:Thank you,Tom

i am transmitting some values from STM32 through serial, and even though i have set the Baud Rate and Parity bits in both DockLight and putty, it shows only on DockLight . I am using the HAL library. Also, i tried receiving data from STM32, and while it works, it still shows nothing. What i am looking for basically is Arduino's "Serial.print and Serial.println".Thanks in advance to whoever takes time to answer the question!

Hello,I am implementing a dc motoro control and I am a bit confused about the control of STSPIN250.I have acquired the kit "x-nucleo-ihm13a1" and I am not sure about the signal handling. I thought I could inject a PWM signal into the STSPIN250 for controling the power to the motor.But it seems the PWM input is just for Enabling PWM handling when current is reaching the limit. Is this right?I you could clarify about this I would really appreciate it.Regards, Ramon.

Hi ,i have a problem with SPI slave device, it doesn't receive the clock signal from stm32f103 (Master), i have configured the baud rate correctly : 72Mhz/32 (SPI1), which is inside the range clock freq of slave device, CS pin is active low so when i send a command i set CS = 1(low), i have checked many parameters but i still have nothing in clk clock, MOSI , MISO line are ok, as shown in these pictures below, please if anyone has any suggestion ! this is the SPI1 config codevoid SPI1_init(void){ //1 : Configure SPI1 GPIO's //--------------------------- // Enable clocks for PORTA, PORTC and SPI1 peripheral RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_IOPAEN; RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_IOPCEN; // Setup (PA4-->NSS /PA5-->SCK / PA6-->MISO / PA7-->MOSI) as Alternate function for SPI1 // PA4 --> CS as Output AF push-pull (50Mhz) ref p167-161 GPIOA->CRL |= GPIO_CRL_MODE4_0 ; GPIOA->CRL |= GPIO_CRL_MODE4_1; GPIOA->CRL &=~ GPIO_CRL_CNF4_0; GPIO

Hello everyone,I would like to know how to configure Timer1 to run at a certain frequency, but the interrupt will only generate a certain number of pulses (determined by the repetition counter).I am using STM32CubeIDE and nucleo-l476rg. I tried to do this, but the HAL_TIM_PWM_PulseFinishedCallback interrupt is still generated every pulse.I will be grateful if someone tells me how to configure it in CubeMX and which interrupts to use in my code.Best regards,Grzegorz

Hello there, I've been looking a way to sample ADC continously with DMA for measuring power supply current and voltage, and then another ADC for temperature reading which probably just readed only once per second.I've read STM32 ADC modes and yet don't understand whether my application was possible, probably because my english was not that good.I have tried some code by myself, but can't get it to workHere is my code :extern "C" void DMA1_Channel1_IRQHandler(void) { HAL_DMA_IRQHandler(&hdma_adc1); }   extern "C" void HAL_ADC_MspInit(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadcx) {   GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; if(hadcx->Instance==ADC2){ __HAL_RCC_ADC2_CLK_ENABLE(); } if(hadcx->Instance==ADC1) { __HAL_RCC_ADC1_CLK_ENABLE(); hdma_adc1.Instance = DMA1_Channel1; hdma_adc1.Init.Direction = DMA_PERIPH_TO_MEMORY; hdma_adc1.Init.PeriphInc = DMA_PINC_DISABLE; hdma_adc1.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_ENABLE; hdma_adc1.Init.PeriphDataAlignment = DMA_PDATAALIGN_WORD; hdma_ad

Hi,I am using the ST25RU3993-EVAL board for distance measurement, and therefore need a adequate resolution on the RSSI values for accuracy. I am using the available SDK for the board. After looking through the datasheet for ST25RU3993, the RSSI values for the I-channel is 4-bits and for the Q-channel is also 4-bit; in the register (RSSI display register, page 67). However, when i use the Embedded Software for the board, the values range from 0-255, i.e. 8-bit for each I-channel and Q-channel. This is what i would rather use since it has a higher resolution.How can i get the same values as the Embedded Software? Maybe i am missing a registry address.Thanks!Emil Thttps://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/st25ru3993.pdfhttps://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/st25ru3993-eval.html#tools-software
